This video came about way back in September because I had asked Joe to help me test out my new DSLR Stabilizer. I was practicing trying to get smoother video, and Joe was just warming up.

I named the video, “Couple Whips and A Front Tuck,” because of how nonchalantly Joe says it. For most people, using the floor like the trampoline is actually difficult and Joe makes it look incredibly easy.

You can see at the end that my abilities to use the stabilizer are still in their beginning stages because the shakes right to left pretty badly. Like I said, this was in September and I have become increasingly better with the stabilizer since then.

Actually, for any amateur videographer looking to make their videos look that more professional I would recommend the Flycam nano DSLR. For the money it is a very good purchase for an amateur. But don’t get me wrong, it takes practice. If you want more information about the stabilizer just comment below.

Okay, I am not going to have a bad day.  I am going to go into town and ogle at shoes, which will make me happy.  Speaking of shoes, HERE is my boo review for the day: fucking. ugg. boots.  Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for comfort, hell, I own several pairs of heels that I never wear because the thought of sitting in a chair all day in them is too uncomfortable, but UGGS.  That’s a whole new level of sloth.  They make feet look like loaves of bread, and believe me, even Jesus wouldn’t break that shit.  The amount of girls I see that have apparently walked clean around the world in those boots and their feet are slipping off the actual soles of the boots (so that they are walking on…well, the side/edge/back/not the part you are supposed to walk on) is ridiculous! Whatever happened to arch support?!  Come on people, what would your mother say?!  Oh, she’d say that she has a pair too?  Well, she obviously has impeccable taste.  Having said that, I understand that Uggs are a fashion statement and they do go well with skinny jeans, jeggings, mini skirts, a long shirt that you think is a dress but it’s not, no pants, pyjamas, your boyfriend’s TapOut hoodie, and numerous other high class items.  The picture above obviously showcases the mad style of these boots, even Jimmy Choo has gotten into the swing of things and glammed them up.  Riding on a motorcycle with soft and fuzzy bejewelled boots can only spell one thing: STEEZ.  I’m sure they’ll protect your feet in the event of a catastrophic collision with a wayward dairy cow.

When I finally received the cap in the mail, I realized that my fitted collection is complete.  My snapbacks and strapbacks are the foster kids that I’ve adopted and my fitteds are my biologicals.  It was appropriate that I found it while I was nearing this geriatric age and the hats were going through menopause (hot flashes in the beginning trailing off into the classics).  The collection reached Erica Kane status; I’ve got all my children.

Cap City of New Jersey re-released this limited supply fitted today.  PLEASE convince me not to drop money on another one.

The Hundreds dropped their Spring 2013 editorial lookbook a couple of weeks to showcasing some exciting things for the upcoming season and today we are getting an up-close look. The book features an array of crewnecks, chambray woven shirts, and dark rinsed denim – essentials for that effortlessly cool West Coast style.  A straightforward color palette (including a unique camo print) is seen throughout the collection. Although this particular lineup doesn’t include the brands usual blatant branding, the pieces do still have The Hundreds’ signature markings including the “Jags” pattern and the infamous Adam Bomb on this seasons snapbacks and beanies. In this blog ill be sharing all of the lessons I’ve learned whilst trying to create a successful brand of my own, and I’ll be revealing all of the things I would do differently if I was to start over.

By no means am I what you’d call a ‘successful brand owner’, in fact I’m still very much in the start up stage with Breeds. And in my 2 years of operation I have made a few bad decisions that have stalled my progress and tested my commitment to the project and at times the faith I have in its success. I have no doubt that these valuable lessons will benefit me greatly in the future when the stakes are much higher. But it’s safe to say, if I had something like this blog to read when I was getting started, and I could learn through the mistakes of some other poor fool, I would have saved thousands of dollars and my brand would probably be in a much better position than it is today, but hindsight’s a bitch right haha.

The Denver-based denim brand introduces a new style to their family, the Cardinal, a traditional straight cut with a slight taper at the ankle.  14.5 oz., North Carolina-manufactured, Cone Mill raw selvedge denim is only the tip of the iceberg of what’s hidden inside.

Featuring their emblem, lion, toy soldier and a laurel wreath, The GRO Project’s insignia is stamped on the leather rear patch, the interior of the front pockets, and the waist button.  The tagline “Unlimited Dedication to Passion” is engraved on every button on the fly.  Intentional or not, this placement area for the company’s tag creates a double entendre, and I do love that witty wit wit.  The toy soldier is embedded in every rivet of the jean, even the hidden rivets within the rear pockets.  Not only do the belt loops showcase a selvedge edge, the company uses a Holster Loop stitch under the waistband; a feature that was used for jeans during the 1800s in order for the garment to have the durability to carry firearms.  The jeans also feature a reinforced micro-suede hangtag, because tumble drying your denim will weaken the fabric.  All of these little details and features are like finding the owl on the US dollar bill or seeing the watermark with a black light on a Bape garment.

What grabbed my attention initially was the contrast stitching style on the rear pockets.  Normally, companies either keep it simple with the rear pocket stitching in order to give that “heritage” and “vintage” vibe, or go completely overboard in a feeble attempt to be unique.  The GRO Project not only does it right, but keeps it distinct enough to be able to identify the brand from a stone’s throw view.

Coming from someone who examines new warp fades, stress areas and stacks on their jeans during a 30 min. train ride, the Cardinal, and all of its secret characteristics, are fit for the fickle, borderline OCD wearer.  If The GRO Project makes a slimmer cut, I’ll be looking at my bank statement with a pointed finger.
