Stefano Dolce e Domenico Gabbana dichiarano in questa intervista a Corriere TV la lor intenzione di “tornare alle origini”: Pare che le braccia rubate all’agricoltura, nonostante le dichiarazioni, non torneranno sui campi.

Da seguire tutta perché non è facile trovare in 7 minuti tante ovvietà, banalità e sciocchezze tutte insieme.

I’ve been following Karl Lagerfeld for a while, but it was only yesterday that I was introduced to the genius of Stefano Gabbana, courtesy of The Guardian’s Fashion Statement.

While Karl tends to go for sporadic pearls of wisdom/insanity, expanding on his fashion mag reputation for delivering hilarious, politically incorrect soundbites, Stefano’s feed is fantastically mundane, full of inane comments, name-dropping, and Black Eyed Peas references:

Aww, Stefano, I love love love plastic too! But you gotta admit Karl’s got the edge here: 1-0

MadonnaTribe has heard and can report more news about the new fashion campaign that Madonna will shoot with photographer Steven Klein next month for the new Dolce & Gabbana campaign.

The shooting date has now been set and it will take place on November 6th in New York City. Another fresh piece of news is about the campaign itself, because this now will be for the Women’s Collection of the Italian designer duo.

The most dazzling supermodels of all time, Claudia Schiffer, Eva Herzigova and Naomi Campbell, faces of the first D&G Fragrance Anthology, were greeted by hundreds of fans and onlookers at la Rinascente Piazza Duomo in Milan.

The supermodels were accompanied by Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana and they posed for the photographers and TV’s cameramen who attended the event. They also signed autographs for fans within the wonderful venue dedicated to the D&G fragrances world by la Rinascente.

i check bryanboy’s blog as much i check my humble own. it’s usually tabs side by side… and i do this NOT to compare (big hello!) but because i admire him, so much that i quickly jump to open his after feeling bored with mine (blogs i mean, haha). i think hes very very “forward pinoy”, and he’s absolutely, undeniably successful. bryanboy is inspiring more than anything.

well i hope he stays in manila so the press will keep noting “…manila-based fashion blogger”. i think it’s very important that he carries the banner as he soar.

Opening a previously unseen window on the work of designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana and their style team in the days prior to their catwalk show, this new democratic way of showing a collection, will offer an exclusive collection preview to a wider audience than solely to the fashion industry.

Fashion luminaries Domenico Dolce & Stefano Gabbana have opened a new concept D&G store in Milan. The idea behind the new store is a ’boutique within a boutique’, allowing art exhibitions and exclusive previews of upcoming collections to be present among the wares on sale. Situated on the site of the company’s flagship, the renovation cost around $5.8million.

The store was conceptualised in conjunction with BAM Design Studio, and every single element within the 6,523 sq ft space has been pored over in meticulous detail. Warm neutrals and polished metals form the main decor style, featuring small display tables and modular cubes. A ‘cage’ forms the central focus of the room, consisting of squared vertical poles and a line of TV screens on one side. It is here that the exhibitions will take place; anything from an art installation to promoting a new bikini, according to Gabbana.

Given that D&G is a hugely famous international label, worn by the likes of Eva Mendes, Scarlett Johansson and Madonna, it’s fairly certain that this new store will be a massive hit, and may even pave the way for a re-think of conventional retail spaces in the future.
