…if I see you in heaven ?”,  ist die Anfangszeile des wohl persönlichsten Songs Eric Claptons, in dem er den Tod seines Sohns betrauert.

Auch andere Künstler versuchen Verluste durch Kreativität zu verarbeiten, wie zum Beispiel der deutsche Dichter Friedrich Rückert (1788-1866). Er verlor zwei seiner sechs Kinder durch Scharlach, und schrieb zur Aufarbeitung über 400 (!) Gedichte, die sogenannten “Kindertotenlieder”. Eindrücklicher kann man die Trauer von Eltern kaum schildern.

Fünf dieser Gedichte wurden von Gustav Mahler zwischen 1901 und 1904 für Singstimme und Orchester vertont. Der Komponist, Dirigent, und langjähriger Leiter der Wiener Hofoper, verlor ebenfalls sechs seiner elf Geschwister, und musste als Vater den Verlust einer Tochter beklagen, die 1907, zwei Jahre nach der Uraufführung der Kindertotenlieder, im Alter von fünf Jahren an Diphtherie starb.

Ich selbst habe einen Bruder verloren, der in den frühen 1960er Jahren im Alter von 7 Monaten an einer Meningitis starb. Heute, als 50jähriger, erinnere ich mich noch immer an das Leid meiner Mutter, die über den Tod ihres letzten Kindes nie richtig hinweg gekommen ist.

Als Zivildienstleistender habe ich die 2 Jahre meines Zivildienstes gegen Ende der 1970er Jahre in einer Einrichtung für Schwerstbehinderte absolviert. Für einen erheblicher Teil der dort betreuten Kinder und Jugendlichen war ihr Leben schon vorbei war, bevor es richtig begonnen hatte. Sie hatten u.a. erworbene Hirnschäden, regelmässig aufgrund zu später oder falscher Therapien diverser Infektionserkrankungen, regelmässig wegen fehlendem Impfschutz.

Ich bin seit einigen Tagen in Portugal, und war am Wochenende in Lissabon. Dort gibt es eine Totenstadt, “Cemitério dos Prazeres” (1) . Ein Friedhof, der so ganz anders ist, als die, die wir in Deutschland kennen. Dort werden die Särge der Verstorbenen eine Familien – oft über mehrere Generationen hinweg – nicht in der Erde bestattet, sondern in kleinen Mausoleen aufgebahrt.

Wenn man sich die Zeit nimmt, in einige der üblicherweise mit einer gläsernern Tür versehen Häuschen zu schauen, wird man – vor allen in den älteren Gebäuden – Kindersärge sehen, oft mehrere, meist in unterschiedlichen Formaten, nicht selten kaum größer als Schuhkartons.

Jeder dieser viele  Jahrzehnte alte Särge ist eine eindrückliche Mahnung, sich bewußt zu werden, dass die moderne Medizin – besonders durch Infektionsprophylaxe und die antibiotische Therapie – hochwirksame Wege gefunden hat, die Kindersterblichkeit zu reduzieren.

Lag die Sterblichkeitsrate etwa zur Mitte des 19. Jahrhunderts bei 25-35 % eines Jahrgangs, beträgt diese heute 0,3 – 0,4 %  (BRD 2006, 3,8 Todesfälle auf 1000 Lebendgeburten).

Nur zum Vergleich: In Afrika lag die Todesrate 2003 bei 171 je 1000 Geburten, in Südostasien bei 78 je 1000 Geburten. Jeweils mehr als 50% der Todesfälle wurden dabei durch Infektionskrankheit verursacht.

Die enorme Verbesserung der Chancen eines Kindes, das Erwachsenenalter zu erreichen, ist in erster Linie auf drei Faktoren zurück zu führen: Auf eine deutliche Verbesserung des Wohlstandes der Bevölkerung, auf hohe soziale und hygienische Standards, und vor allem, auf eine leistungsfähige Kinderheilkunde.

Eines der mächtigsten Mittel gegen Krankheit, Behinderung und Tod im Kindesalter ist die Impfung. Impfen ist eine der am besten untersuchten Vorgehensweisen der Medizin. Es gibt riesige Datenmengen und eine enorme Anzahl von wissenschaflichen Untersuchungen, die den Erfolg (2) dieser Maßnahme belegen.

Und es gibt kein Zweifel: Impfen schützt (Kinder)Leben!

Jedoch gerade dieser vorbeugende Schutz, der Millionen Menschenleben gerettet hat, wird derzeit durch eine kleine Gruppe von verantwortungslosen Ideologen (3) massiv diskreditiert, die gezielt falsche Informationen streuen, um gerade bei jungen Eltern Ängste zu erzeugen.

So müssen wir uns in Deutschland derzeit mit solchen Meldungen auseinander setzen, wie sie zum Jahresbeginn 2009 im “Deutschen Ärzteblatt” zu lesen war:

Impfmüdigkeit in Europa: Masern auf dem Vormarsch

Kopenhagen – Deutschland gehört zu den fünf Masernhochburgen in Europa, auf die einer Studie im Lancet (2009; doi: 10.1016/S0140-6736(08)61849-8) zufolge 85 Prozent aller Masernerkrankungen entfallen. Die verbreitete Impfmüdigkeit in der Bevölkerung verhindert, dass das Ziel der Weltgesundheitsorganisation (WHO), Europa bis 2010 von den Masern zu befreien, noch erreicht werden kann. (4)

Besonders aktiv in Sachen Impfgegnerschaft sind – abgesehen von einigen fragwürdigen Gestalten, deren Argumentation allerhöchstens eine ausgewachsene Paranoia reflektieren – vor allem Anthroposophen und die Homöopathen.

Während die Homöopathen mit dem geistigen Erbe ihres Begründers Hahnemann leben müssen, der, wie auch alle anderen seiner Zeitgenossen vor rund 250 Jahren, nur sehr geringe Kenntnisse über die Bedeutung pathogener Mikroorganismen bei der Entstehung von Krankheiten hatte, liegt bei den Anthroposophen die Sache ein wenig anders: Sie verkünden ein Krankheitsverständnis, dass auf okkulten Vorstellungen beruht.    

 Wie bedenklich die kruden Vorstellung der Anthroposophie sind, zeigt sich an solchen Verhaltenweisen wie der Impfverweigerung im Umfeld der Waldorfschulen und -kindergärten. Hier wird ausschließlich aus ideologischen Gründen Kindern eine der wichtigsten medizinischen Vorsorgemaßnahme vorenthalten.

Dies hat zwangsläufig Folgen: In den letzten Jahren kam es in Schulen und Kindergärten, die von Anthroposophen betrieben werden, beispielweise immer wieder zu epidemischen Ausbrüchen von Infektionskrankheiten wie der Masern, deren Gefahrenpotential heute außer Zweifel steht, denkt man nur an die subakute sklerosierende Panenzephalitis (SSPE), die immer tödliche Spätfolge einer Maserinfektion(5) .

Anthroposophisches Karma-Geschwall…

Nicht nur die Leute von Esowatch/Esoblog (3) meinen, dass die Absurditäten der  ”Anthroposophischer Medizin” auf die  mythisch-verklärte anthroposophische Ideologie in Verbindung mit der Idee von Karma und Reinkarnation zurück zuführen sind, die Rudolf Steiners ekklektizistischem Weltanschauungs-Wirrwar bestimmt. 

Um es ganz knapp darzustellen: Man ist bei Anthroposophens  der Ansicht, dass Krankheit biographisch bedeutendes Schicksal ist, und man höheren Idealen nicht im Wege stehen darf: Wer z.B. an Masern stirbt, hat umso früher Gelegenheit, sich im nächsten Leben endlich zu verbessern.

Wesentlich ist also für die Impfverweigerung das absurde Krankheitsverständnis der  “Anthroposophischen Medizin”, in dem sich die schon weiter oben angesprochenen esoterisch-okkulten Sichtweisen darstellen. Zentrale Ursachen für Erkrankungen sind immer auch im Karma zu finden. Die Wurzel einer Krankheit kann im vergangenen Erdenleben liegen. Da Karma aus der Vergangenheit wirkt, sind Ärzte gegen bestimmte Schicksalsbestimmung machtlos.

Ganz nebenbei finden wir hier die übliche Immunisierungsstrategie alternativer Quacksalber: Durch die Macht eines “schlechten Karmas” lässt  sich jede Kritik an unwirksamen Verfahren ausgehebeln.  Wenn das Verfahren nicht hilft, hat eben das Karma (und letztlich der Patient) die Schuld; nicht das Verfahren oder der Therapeut.   

Nach den Vorstellungen der Hardcore-Anthros ist die gegenwärtige Biographie eines Menschen eben das Ergebnis karmisch wirksamen Verhaltens in früheren Leben, wirkt aber genau so auch karmisch auf die nächsten Leben.Krankheiten können nach anthroposophischer Vorstellung Folgeerscheinungen von Fehlverhalten in früheren Leben sein und dazu dienen, alte Schuld abzutragen, oder sie bereiten auf die nächste “Wiedergeburt” vor.
Also ist der kranke Mensch immer auch schuldig an seinem Zustand, und Schuld ist dabei das, was Rudolf Steiner zur Schuld erklärt hat. Es gibt von Steiner aufgestellte Schuldeslisten. Anhand dieser Listen kann sich der anthroposophische Arzt orientieren, welches Karma er denn nun gerade vor sich hat, und welche Maßnahmen die Erfüllung dieses Karmas unterstützen.

Typisch in diesem Zusammenhang ist auch die Auffassung von Leid und Schmerz. Nach Steiner erzeugt das Erleben von Krankheit und dem damit verbundenem Schmerz den Antrieb, das in früheren Leben Versäumte nachzuholen, auch wenn dies in diesem Leben nicht mehr möglich ist. Man nimmt es als starken Impuls mit in das nächste Leben. Dort erscheint es dann als Fähigkeit, das Versäumte nachzuholen, das heißt unter Umständen als Begabung, dies zu lernen.

Krankheit bedeutet also “Prüfung”: Wer sie übersteht, ist stark genug fürs Leben, wer nicht, um den ist es auch nicht schade.

Purer Zynismus, dummer Fatalismus oder  Immunisierung gegen Kritik ?

Es ist schwer, die Motive der Anthroposophie-Gläubigen zu durchschauen. Aber letztlich ist es egal, welche kognitiven Defizite schwerer wiegen, denn man muss, mit Blick auf die Folgen für Dritte,  so eine Einstellung heutzutage nur noch als zutiefst antihumanistisch werten, als eine grausame ideologische Doktrin.

Ich finde es deshalb  äußerst bedenklich, wenn ein Kinderarzt, Dr. Stefan Schmidt-Roske vom anthroposophischem Krankenhaus Berlin-Havelhöhe – ohne berufliche Konsequenzen befürchten zu müssen – feststellt:

“Die Anthroposophische Medizin fasst die Masern als eine Krankheit auf, die auf eine gesamte Biographie bezogen, durchaus sinnhafte Wirkung haben können (…)”

Während, wie schon weiter oben angesprochen, die WHO und viele andere Länder dieser Welt sich intensiv bemühen, diese Krankheit, die weltweit immer noch für hunderttausende Todesfälle unter Kindern verantwortlich ist, durch umfänglichen Impfschutz zu eliminieren, denken deutsche Anthroposophen darüber nach, ob Masern für die Biographie eines Menschen nicht “sinnhaft” sind.

Welch´ ein Irrsin.

Dünne Argumentation !

 Aber trotz aller lautstarken Demagogie der Impfgegner, die vorgebrachten Argumente sind schwach bis lächerlich.

 Hinter dem Deckmäntelchen der kritischen Auseinandersetzung, die mit passendem Vokabular unterlegt wird – Nachdenken, guter Wille, Sachlichkeit, individuelle Entscheidung etc. – steckt in Wirklichkeit eine Geisteshaltung, die alles andere als eine sachliche Auseinandersetzung will.

Ganz im Gegenteil: Impfgegner versuchen, unter dem Deckmäntelchen vermeindlicher  Wissenschaft und angeblicher Aufklärung versteckt, eine okkult-esoterische, irrationale Überzeugung unters verängstigte Volk zu bringen.

Sie manipulieren und desinformieren, nicht selten lügen sie ganz bewußt. Zwar wird gebetsmühlenartig wiederholt, man möge sich doch selbst informieren, im Grunde heißt das aber, dass man nur und ausschließlich ihnen Glauben zu schenken hat,  und eben nicht der Wissenschaftsmedizin  (die ohnehin durch die Pharmakonzerne gekauft wurde).

In diesem Zusammenhang: Dass Impfungen wegen der wirtschaftlichen Interessen der Pharmakonzern betrieben werden würden, ist schon deswegen Blödsinn, weil die Kosten für Impfungen wesentlich geringer sind, als die Kosten der Medikamente für die Behandlungen von schweren Erkrankungen, geschweige denn für die einer möglicherweise lebenslangen Behinderung.

Das wesentliche Argument gegen die Theorie des Phamarlobbyismus ist aber, dass es durch eine konsequente Durchimpfung gelingen kann, Krankheiten auszurotten. Und was schon mit den Pocken gelungen ist, strebt die Weltgesundheitsorganisation nun mit den Masern an; und wundert sich über die schwachsinnigen Deutschen, die ein paar Irren aus dem Internet Glauben schenken.

Aber auch, wenn es nicht gelingt eine Krankheit ganz auszurotten: Durch eine hohe Durchimpfungsrate werden auch die Menschen geschützt, die nicht immunisert werden können, aus welchen Gründen auch immer. Impfen kann deshalb keine idividuelle Entscheidung, sondern muss eine gesellschaftliche Verpflichtung sein.

Und es muss ganz deutlich gesagt werden: Eltern, die ihren Kindern aus ideologischen Gründen Impfungen verweigern, treffen egoistische Entscheidung, deren Konsequenzen nicht nur sie, sondern primär ihre Kinder tragen müssen; und eben auch die Kinder anderer Eltern.

Wer allerding sich seiner Verantwortung bewußt ist, für den gibt es tatsächlich genügen Quellen, die über Impfungen und Epidemiologie ausführlich und neutral informieren.

Man sollte deswegen der Forderung der Impfgegener nach sachlicher Information (6) dringend nachkommen.

On Friday 13th November Daniel’s cousin, Heather, celebrated her 13th birthday (where do the years go???). I’m normally not very creative when it comes to gifts but inspired by all my recent Steiner Waldorf research I decided to make her a Forest Fairy.

I used materials I purchased from Myriad: a wooden conical figure, 100% wool felt off-cuts, wool tops and a cotton pipe cleaner. Daniel & I collected the little hat from the local park a few weeks ago and it had been sitting on our nature table.

Every stitch was a stitch of love….

I really enjoyed making it and I’m delighted with the final result. I think Heather is too

I took these photos of the Forest Fairy very quickly the night before Heather’s birthday but I’m hoping that Heather will take some better ones for me in a more creative setting – she’s a very talented young photographer (see her photographic blog at In the Blink of an Eye ).

We gave Heather her Forest Fairy at her birthday meal – the first family meal out that Daniel has been able to attend (because of his dietary issues).

DH, Dan & I all had a huge plate of roast beef, roast turkey, peas, swede and carrots – all GAPS friendly! Dan had a total ball! Food and family together – his two favourite things!!

Today Daniel is three years old! I can hardly believe it has been 3 whole years since our little baby boy finally turned us into a real family.

We decided to celebrate this very special occasion yesterday, because DH wasn’t able to get out of work commitments today. We had lots planned and though it didn’t quite turn out how we expected, it was a fantastic day with lots of laughter and not a single tear.

We included several Steiner Waldorf traditions including using a felt crown, a birthday ring and telling an “Over the Rainbow Bridge” birthday story. Daniel was thrilled by them all.

His birthday crown was handmade (though not by me!) using pure-wool plant-dyed felt in blue and lemon. The bottom is edged with a sun, boat and seagull trim. I temporarily added a small ‘3’ sticker to it which is easily removed for next year! I really liked the idea of this tradition when I read about it and it certainly helped Daniel to appreciate that it was HIS special day.

We bought his birthday ring online from Myriad. They sell such wonderful things there but they aren’t cheap! I suppose that is exactly the point – they are well made, with care and attention to detail and that is what you pay for. His birthday ring has 12 holes so it will have plenty of use over the coming years. To keep the cost down this year we only bought 3 brass candle-holders, 3 beeswax candles and a colour dipped wooden number 3. Over the other 8 holes we simply placed pinecones which gave it a lovely rustic, natural feel. We’ll buy more next year when he is a year older.

I decided to make GAPS Birthday Muffins for his ‘birthday cake’ and after tea, three muffins fitted nicely into his birthday ring. His face lit up! Special moments in time

I’ve been having a hard time with Ryan’s dismissal of the image as a ‘weak and subordinated’ mode of story telling.

He assigns it a secondary role of evoking the story. Steiner’s analysis of Gozzoli’s The Dance of Salome and Beheading of St. John the Baptist makes the case well. It shows how the imagery adds texture and depth to the story but unless you know the story the painting looks merely mysterious. There’s a sophisticated relationship across time between the three story elements that the observer uninformed by text would miss. Without Steiner’s notes I would not have known that Herodias is both the seated figure in center and the standing women in a different hair covering to the right.

But to me the text is often the secondary element and the picture carries the narration.  I pulled out a book of Associated Press photos to look an uncredited black and white photo of a black man hanging from a tree taken in Fort Lauderdale, Florida in 1935. The caption tells us it’s 32-year-old Rubin Stacy who was lynched by a mob of masked men. Staring at Stacy are four white men in white shirts leaning nonchalantly against trees, one in straw hat.

In the lower left hand foreground of the picture is a young blonde girl staring gravely into the camera and next to her another child holding up a white cloth over his face.  They show sadness and shame that is a strong counter point to the adults. The words in the caption play a secondary role in telling a horrifying story about racism and indifference to violence.

What can we learn about using the image in web-based storytelling from these readings? The sophisticated viewer during the Renaissance may have had the ability to decode the complex relationships between the elements of Gozzoli’s painting but today we’re immersed in visual representations on TV, newspaper and magazine ads, billboards etc.  The average viewer doesn’t have the context to ‘read’ Gozzoli’s work without help. Instead of evoking a story, it requires a lot of text to understand how the picture connects to the story.

Ewert’s chapter on Art Spiegelman’s Maus suggests more useful ways we can consider bringing pictures in to web based story telling. We get comics because we grow up with them so we’re better able appreciate, perhaps unconsciously, the way Spiegelman adds meaning to the story by the image. For example in the picture of Vladek at the concentration camp remembering how he always stood in the second line – ‘I didn’t want them to see me much’ – the faces of all the prisoners are drawn the same with diagonal lies showing their need to blend into the crowd so as to not be called out by the Nazi guards. This visual metaphor of the Vladek’s fear connects.

Jürgen Rieger war Anwalt, Landesvorsitzender der NPD Hamburg, sowie stellvertretender Vorsitzender der rechtsextremen Partei. Außerdem war Rieger Vorsitzender der Artgemeinschaft, einer “Germanische(n) Glaubens-Gemeinschaft wesensgemäßer Lebensgestaltung”. Nebenbei konnte man Rieger wohl auch als Immobilienspekulant der NPD bezeichnen. In der Region Süd-Niedersachsen war er durch das Vorhaben ein KdF-Museum in Wolfsburg zu eröffnen zu zweifelhafter Bekanntheit gelangt. Auch darf man insgesamt nicht vergessen, dass Rieger immer wieder durch rassistische, rechtsextreme und neonazistische Äusserungen aufgefallen ist. Er gehörte zu den Unverbesserlichen und war ein Überzeugungstäter.

Aber am Ende sind dann doch alle Menschen gleich. Jürgen Rieger starb an den Folgen eines Schlaganfalls am gestrigen Mittwoch.

Und wie klingt ein entsprechender Nachruf seiner Kameraden? Ich lasse in diesen Fall einmal Inhalt und Rhetorik unkommentiert so stehen, da kann sich ja jeder selbst Gedanken machen oder Schlüsse ziehen, bei Bedarf.

Noch am Sonnabend, dem 24.10.2009, hat Kamerad Rieger, dem Befehl des Gewissen folgend, in seinem unerschütterlichem Glauben an Deutschland, im politischen Kampf gestanden. In der Reichshauptstadt Berlin beendete das Schicksal am späten Sonnabendnachmittag diesen Kampf.

Heute Mittag, kurz nach 13°° Uhr, hörte sein starkes Kämpferherz auf zu schlagen.

Debo mencionar antes de empezar con la historia que Final Fantasy IX tiene refrencias de todas las series pasadas, ya sea de forma muy sutil o bastante obvias y las estaré nombrando a cada rato. Ahora si ahí va el pedo:

El juego empieza con un sueño de la princesa de alexandria, Garnet, en donde se vé en una pequeña balsa azotada por una gran tormenta. Garnet despierta sin saber que significa ese sueño recurrente. Este es el día de su cumpleaños 16 y habrá una obra de teatro esa noche para celebrar. La obra la presenta el grupo de teatro Tantalus del reino de Lindblum que utilizan su máquina voladora como teatro. Este grupo es conocido en Lindblum por ser, aparte de un grupo de teatro, unos ladrones. El jefe Baku junta al equipo: Cinna, Blank, Marcus y Zidane para repasar una vez más el plan que se les ha encargado: secuestrar a la princesa Garnet. Mientras tanto en Alexandria vemos a Viví, un pequeño mago negro que tiene un boleto para ver la obra…desafortunadamente su boleto es falso. Desilusionado camina por Alexandria y se topa con un niño rata (literalmente) llamado Puck que le dice que si promete ser su esclavo por un rato lo dejará ver la obra con el. Gracias a los techos de las casas de Alexandria y una escalera, Puck y Viví llegan hasta el castillo donde la obra está por empezar. Durante el tiempo que estás controlando a Viví se escucha su tema de fondo. Es la única vez que se escucha su tema en todo el juego, a exepción del remix en la villa de los magos negros pero no es lo mismo. Escuchen:

En el balcón real se puede ver a la princesa Garnet algo triste, a la reina Brahne (si buscan fea y gorda en el diccionario aparece su foto) y los guardias personales de la reina: la general Beatrix y el capitán y jefe de los pluto knights Adelbert Steiner. La obra comienza sin problemas y entonces Blank y Zidane hacen su jugada. Siguiendo una parte de la obra donde deben de pelear, atraen la atención del público y de la reina y nadie nota que entran en el castillo. Dejan inconcientes a dos Pluto Knights y les roban las armaduras. Buscan en el castillo a la princesa y Zidane la encuentra justo cuando ella se dispone a huir (garnet utiliza una capa de maga blanca durante este tiempo). Zidane la persigue. Al mismo tiempo, los bufones de la reina, Zorn y Thorn, notan la desaparición de Garnet. Beatrix y Steiner son mandados a investigar el pedo. Después de varias vueltas, Steiner ve a la princesa que es perseguida por Zidane y ocurre esta bonita escena:

Zidane continua persiguiendo a Garnet. Pasa por donde está la banda de Tantalus y luego por donde está Ruby, otro miebro de Tantalus. Finalmente Zidane encuentra a Garnet y para su sorpresa la princesa quiere que la secuestre. Ya que a eso venían, Zidane acepta pero Steiner aún los persigue. Después de varias peleas terminan en el escenario de la obra. Tratan de seguir la obra como si nada. Mientras tanto, a Viví y a Puck ya los cacharon que se metieron sin pagar y salen corriendo. Viví se tropiesa y pierde de vista a Puck. Viví termina en el escenario y tratando de quitarse a los guardias les lanza fuego y quema la capa de Garnet. Todos ven a la princesa y no saben que pedo. Zidane le dice al jefe que despegue en chinga. Steiner aún trata de detenerlos mientras la reina lanza varios arpones para detener al Prima Vista (nombre de la nave que sirve de teatro) sin éxito. Decide enviar de último recurso una bomba. Steiner continua peleando sin darse cuenta de la bomba. La bomba explota pero el Prima Vista aparentemente continua avanzando solo para estrellarse unos metros más adelante en el Evil Forest. La reina le ordena a Zorn y Thorn traer de regreso a Garnet porque es necesaria para su plan y les dice que usen las nuevas “armas” que tiene. Todos los miembros de Tantalus se encuentran bién, exepto por Ruby que la dejaron en Alexandria. Sin embargo no encuentran a la princesa. Zidane decide ir a buscarla. Encuentra a Viví y Steiner tratando de salvar a la princesa de una planta malvada. Los ayuda y aquí Zidane entra en Trance. Steiner le dice que había escuchado hablar del Trance pero nunca lo había visto. A pesar de sus esfuerzos por salvar a Garnet, la planta se la lleva. Zidane dice que lo más probable es que la planta se la llevó a su jefe. De regreso son atacados por una nueva planta que captura a Viví, pero gracias a su magia logran vencer a la planta pero esta libera unas esporas que dejan inconcientes a Viví y Steiner. Zidane los lleva de regreso al Prima Vista y Blank prepara una medicina para ellos, ya que de no remover las esporas morirían y se convertirían en plantas. Zidane le dice al jefe que va a ir a buscar a Garnet y que se llevará a Steiner y Viví. El jefe le dice que no sea pendejo, que mejor encuentren la manera de escapar y olvide a Garnet. Zidane lo manda a la chingada y el jefe le dice que si se vá no lo dejará regresar a Tantalus. Zidane le dice que ni pedo y se vá. Antes de irse Blank le dá una botella más de medicina para Garnet. Mientras Zidane se vá a salvar a Garnet y el grupo de Tantalus trata de encontrar la manera de salir del Evil Forest, la banda toca para animar al jefe “Rufus Welcoming Ceremony“, el track que se escucha durante el desfile de Rufus Shinra en Final Fantasy VII.  Zidane y los demás encuentran a Garnet atrapada por una planta más grande que la que los atacó. Pelean contra ella, pero incluso con la magia de Viví se los está llevando la chingada. Blank aparece y los ayuda. Rescatan a Garnet y le dán la medicina. Están por irse cuando cientos de plantas los empiezan a perseguir. El equipo huye y ven como el bosque empieza a petrificarse (¡huevos y recontra huevos!). Logran escapar pero Blank queda atrapado por las plantas al evitar que una de ellas atrapara a Zidane. Blank le avienta un mapa y Zidane alcanza a escapar, mientras Blank queda atrapado y petrificado dentro del bosque.

Sin nada que hacer para ayudar a Blank, el equipo se dispone a descansar y a pensar a donde ir ahora que están fuera del Evil Forest. Steiner quiere regresar a la princesa a Alexandria, pero debido a su secuestro las puertas norte y sur que llevan a Alenxandria están cerradas, además Garnet no piensa regresar a Alexandria. La única ruta que les queda es atravez de la Cueva de Hielo. Al otro lado se encuentra la villa de Dalí. Dentro de la cueva de Hielo el equipo empieza a sentir mucho sueño y se quedan dormidos…se escucha una campanita y Zidane se despierta. Siguiendo el sonido encuentra al causante de que se durmieran y de que la cueva esté más fria de lo normal: el Black Waltz #1. Le dice a Zidane que le sorprende que esté despierto y que su misión es regresar a la princesa viva a Alexandria, pero que la compañia era otra historia. Zidane vence al Black Waltz #1 y su dragón y le dice que aunque lo venció, aún quedan los Black Watlz #2 y #3. Zidane regresa a ver si el equipo despertó y podemos ver en la cima de la cueva a Zorn y Thorn. Zidane no les cuenta que pasó y continuan su camino hasta salir de la cueva. Afuera ven la villa de Dalí. Garnet decide que no pueden llamarla por su nombre para no alertar a la gente (aparentemente muy pocos conocen a Garnet) y adopta el apodo “dagger”. El equipo llega a Dalí y deciden ir a descansar. El encargado de la posada vé a Viví de un modo extraño. El equipo se queda en la posada y Garnet le dice a Zidane que necesita llegar a Lindblum para hablar con el Regent Cid sobre el extraño comportamiento de la reina. Mientras duerme, Zidane escucha a alguien cantar. Dice que es la voz más hermosa que há escuchado y piensa que es Garnet y se despierta. No hay nadie en la posada así que decide ir a buscarlos al pueblo. Esto es lo que escucha Zidane:

Durante el Active Time Event podemos ver a Garnet tratando de hablar más casual con los aldeanos, a Steiner tratando de conseguir información de si llegará alguna nave que los lleve a Alexandria y a los aldeanos huyendo de Viví por alguna extraña razón. Zidane encuentra a Garnet y a Viví y les pide que regresen a la posada para planear que hacer ahora. Garnet le pregunta por Steiner pero le dice que el estará bién y que regresará. Garnet regresa a la posada pero Viví es secuestrado por los aldeanos. Como Zidane y Garnet notan que Viví ya tardo un chingo, salen a buscarlo. Zidane regresa a donde lo vió por última vez y le dice a Garnet que Viví estaba parado ahí porque escuhcaba un sonido “kewh” que hacen los Chocobos. Tratan de escucharlo pero ahora escuchan a alguien llorar y parece que el sonido se escucha debajo de ellos. Descubren que es Viví y que no sabe como llegó ahí. Zidane le dice que no se preocupe, que encontrarán la manera de sacarlo. Encuentran una entrada a una aparentemente sencilla bodega subterranea. Zidane y Garnet observan varios barriles con el logo de Alexandria pero no saben que es lo que colocan en ellos. Después escuchan a los aldeanos preguntarle a Viví porque había escapado y como es que se movió antes que los demás. Viví no sabe que responder y los aldeanos deciden encerrarlo en un barril como a los otros. Zidane y Garnet avanzan con cuidado y sacan a Viví del barril. Descubren una máquina extraña que absorve la niebla del exterior. El continente donde se encuentran está rodeado por una niebla que nunca se quita, por eso lo llaman “el continente de la niebla”. Esta niebla se há utilizado para hacer máquinas voladoras, gracias al invento de Cid VIII, el antiguo regente de Lindblum. Sin embargo la niebla crea monstruos y es peligroso estar fuera de las ciudades del continente. El equipo sigue el camino viendo esta máquina y descubren que lo que crea la máquina son MAGOS NEGROS (über fuck!). Aparentemente los aldeanos dejaron su vida de agricultores para dedicarse a construir y enviar estos magos negros a Alexandria, aú sin saber para que son utilizados. Viví está confundido al ver la gran similitud entre el y estos magos negros. Tratando de escapar de la vista de los aldeanos quedan encerrados en un gran barril. Mientras tanto, Steiner está en la torre de observación del clima preguntandole al encargado cuando llega la nave que vá a Alexandria. El encargado le dice que ya está ahí en Dalí. Steiner regresa corriendo y espanta a los aldeanos que están subiendo los barriles. Steiner siente curiosidad por los barriles y vé que uno se mueve. Adentro vienen Zidane, Garnet y Viví que logran liberarse y entonces son atacados por el Back Waltz #2

El equipo vs Black Waltz #2

Lo derrotan y le preguntan a Steiner a donde vá la nave. El les dice que a Lindblum, pero lo vén muy sospechoso y con ganas de irse y saben que esa nave vá a Alexandria. Sin embargo, Zidane le promete a Garnet que la llevará a Lindblum con esa nave. Mientras suben Zidane “accidentalmente” le agarra las nalgas a Garnet (no podía dejar este dato fuera)

[Throws up a skull.]

Ham. That skull had a tongue in it, and could sing once. How the knave jowls it to the ground, as if it were Cain’s jaw-bone, that did the first murder! It might be the pate of a politician, which this ass now o’erreaches; one that would circumvent God, might it not?

There are methods to understand the intersection where humanity or what we call actual humans intersected and integrated the spiritual faculties of human with the material substance of flesh and bone. With Ardi, we would love to imagine her as the great mother, the dreaming ancient ancestor to man, from her, man or humanity slowly gained their uprightness and then we would have to enjoy the treasure of the group soul of Ardi mothering and dreaming over the future human race that would eventually come forth and speak and think and understand and converse with the Angels.

All of this brought about in endless scholarly texts and National Geographic specials because we found remains of something that was once alive and lived in the same stream of evolution as humanity. Yes we know where this is going, Ardi celebrated like all those who have gone before her as the first Eve. Joining the infamous ranks of all the primal remains of the earliest upright mothers of humanity who had cradled and suckled and nursed infants and saw in dreams ancient and primal, the coming of the human race but had no tongue to express it.

“It is relatively complete in that it preserves head, hands, feet, and some critical parts in between.”

“Until the discovery of Ardi, the earliest well-known stage of human evolution was Australopithecus, the small-brained, fully bipedal “ape man” that lived between four million and one million years ago.

“The most famous Australopithecus fossil is the 3.2-million-year-old “Lucy,” found in 1974 about 45 miles north of where Ardi would later be discovered.

“Lucy was described as the “mother of man” and the missing link between humans and chimps. Before Ardi, she was thought to be the oldest fossil of a human ancestor that walked on two legs.”

Or we will have to start to grow up and start to consider how the path of the spirituality of humanity was carefully refined and that the stones, plants and animals over the entire earth were all released and started their evolutions prior to when the faculties and forces were available for the consciousness that would ultimately arise to support the form and stature of humanity.

It is hard to fathom that each Angel had volunteered out of the vast starry heavens to help plant the seed of each human destiny and slowly harvest each life through hundreds of incarnations until that human being was ready itself, as Buddha did, to outgrow the need for a physical body while able to use all it’s higher faculties. It is hard to fathom that the Angels had a destiny before humanity appeared and that our true animal status and progress had evolved under the supervision and conflicts of how the Angels evolved and had gone through their human phase before we even had consciousness.  How the mighty forces of our nervous system and 12 cranial nerves and astral bodies were set to the working of the mighty constellations and that each unfolding future human was the highest product of the evolution of the Angels in contributing and preparing for the appearance of material humanity ready to arise and go through their brutal and potent human phase, just as the Angels had before us.

It dumbfounds us that we can prattle with bones and inflate theories to be forced down the throats of future Anthropologists, when we can’t fathom that humanity, and the arrival of humanity had been prepared and that part of the immense evolution of the Angels, one phase above humanity,( NOW, right now the Angels are here as quiet nurturing giants one stage above each individual human being, next to us, with us, no matter how alone we feel) had also to go through their own vast human phase and struggle to contribute something profound for the future creation of Mankind.

The Angels had to endure a long, long development and their developments were a long struggle as ours are. They had to bring creation, not only their own, but the lower forms of creation, which included humanity, forward. All Beings in the hierarchy of beings, and in the lower range, below man, the animals, the plants and the stones, will all pass through their human phases as are we, and it ain’t pretty and it wasn’t pretty for the Angels either. They call this period before Man, A War in Heaven.

In other words, that which we designate, our human nervous system, is a unique upgrade that has in it everything that would make humanity a wholeness of TWELVEFOLDNESS and represent the ongoing work of the gods themselves, so that the human sense apparatus should be constructed from the Finished Formation of the model of the mighty Constellations and each, each human being coming off the assembly line would be endowed with TWELVE cranial nerves and an interior brain capacity that would have an inner eye, a pineal gland, and that each human child would arise in the material world with their own navigational map of THINKING capacities that were stamped with the individual Time lock of the stars, form fitted to the individual spiritual capacities of the brain and heart or rather the soul and spirit that would grow into them.

You must never link such a vision as the Annunciation, where an Angel being visits a young girl named Mary, and connect in your thoughts that the Angels were participating in some of the greatest events, background and behind the scenes events, planning the time and moment of birth and nurturing and protecting their charges. You must never entertain the idea that Joan of Arc saw and worked with the great Archangel Michael, because there is no room, no room in your education to plot the course of how stone, plant, animal, human, Angel and Archangel are all part of the model of Creation and that humanity is made in the Image and working system of the divine and that Nature itself reveals the rising waves of creation.

Finally you must never consider that humanity will go through a struggle, our current embattled human phase, long and painful, where we will contribute to the higher unfolding of creation by lifting the lower beings that are waiting in animal, plant and stone. Our education, our standard models of education today do not permit you to think it all through and be enriched, focused and confident that we are not accidents and that the universe we live in is not an accident.

Even to understand how that inner I AM and the Twelve Cranial Nerves that we carry around with us as thought fields of intuition, are drawn up with the Sun Being, Christ, the Immortal, who gathered to him twelve different disciples as faculties and thousands of souls who have carried out the intuitions and systems of the divine into matter and thinking and culture, because the Christ was in essence the King of Angels and our Twelve Cranial Nerves are just a micro system to the intimate and magnificent system that Christ needed to hold the Sun Forces of his immense Love, radiating out into soul space, the way that HE had, as the Sun Being radiated out from the Twelve Constellations before HE became merged with Jesus, is a hack job with either university centered materialism or dogmatic and falsified creationism.  And the community of Angels beheld the revelation of Christ with deeper understanding than humanity knew. “Forgive them for they know not what they do”.

We presume to follow back in time, a point where we  leap with excitement because we think we have discovered the link to our own human riddle. Our own ancestor Ardi. We are related closer to the Angels than to Ardi but that taxes the thinking ability of the stooges who presume to act as cheerleaders for gross materialism. The latest in a long line of over hyped hysterical discoveries is poor Ardi’s long foreclosed and exited bones. Ardi is a point where everyone now turns their full attention to examine if humanity, that carries an I AM that incarnates through time and whose Angel, our individual Angels, that have harvested and carried our immortal beings through hundreds of incarnations through time, shall we stand up and cheer and celebrate the soul evolution of finding the vacated bones of Ardi?

In terms of reincarnation, where is she now? How has her dream like consciousness or as we cleverly imagine, the same consciousness then as we have now evolved? Oh obviously we chortle, we can look down our noses at old Ardi because we are so highly clever today, we appear more evolved don’t we?  Are we so immensely thick witted that we cannot see how our design was in the making earlier and that we as humanity did not grow from a lower stunted capacity and stumble along and develop full blown higher capacities. It was pre-designed into our make-up. We were hard-wired for higher capacities, this was not accident of evolution, none of it was.  Meaning, yes there was an Evolution of Consciousness and an Evolution of Soul faculties and an Evolution of Body and Spirit faculties including the most striking advance the Christ Event at the mid-point of all this so called Evolution occurring on the Earth.

No there is an evolution of consciousness even from what might have been dim, dawning, ancient visionary consciousness. Something akin to Stanley Kubrick’s wet dream of the opening of “2001 a Space Odyssey”. How far back do we wish to go to experience the vague tribal dream consciousness of animal/human forms? How do you and our supposedly generous materialistic science wish to play this new Ardi card? What opportunities does Ardi present to expand our insights into the Evolution of humanity and lay one more brick on the tower of scientific Babel that is the Darwinian theory? Will it reach to the stars, is it thinkable and usable? When the Angels were in their human phase were we the troublesome animals that needed to be aligned with the divine?

Will humanity celebrate the Evolution of Consciousness, seek out the changes in the soul constitution of human beings as they have progressed through time?  Will they be able to rightly assess the current Information and Intellectual culture we are so proud of and place it within the context of the vast sweeping developments that include both Angels and Humanity?  Yes they can. Will they? Most will avoid thinking it through until well past the end of their sorry intellectual lifetimes of silly chatter. We are entrenched and comfortable with beliefs that cannot be squared with reality.

Well lets get right to the point, materialistic Anthropology, like dunces, like donkeys, wish to keep our thinking bottled up in a certain sphere of grave digging for secrets of humanity. Hamlet indeed had lived; Alexander the Great  lived; Aristotle has lived; Plato has lived; Hypatia has lived; Joan of Arc has lived; St. John known as Lazarus has lived; Mary Magdalene has lived; Mary mother of Jesus has lived; Jesus/Zarathustra has lived; Hitler has lived; Harry Truman has lived; Mark Twain has lived; Goethe has lived; Francis Bacon has lived; Darwin has lived; and consciousness and the individual I Am of all of us as well, have developed and moved forward in time.

The human form has been a special project of the gods. Naturally the lumbering scientific soul can’t imagine that our own human consciousness is evolving toward a higher field of cosmic intelligence. Angelic Consciousness can easily look as Spielberg’s “A.I.” or as winged spirits whose winged shoulders reflect our stunted shoulder blades, are for the higher beings a model that surrounds the human heart, of a vast musical listening organ for collecting potential intuitions and synchronistic destiny events, that surround us and can be used to allow changes to arise in our hearts. Our Angels cover a vast panorama of destiny patterns and the musical structure of each human biography and integrate star moments and Time planning in the incarnation of every human being. Their job description is vaster and wider than our pea-brained shrunken memories, yet they weave intimately in our every breath and pulse beat.

That indeed for the Angelic Community, the unfolding of the seed of higher intelligence is in our human hearts as a thinking force that will out grow the chest cavity and change into a being, beyond material measurements, just as Angels and our Evolution of Consciousness can hardly be measured by the clumsy failed intuitions we are forced to think with if we get a university education today. The only thing measured are our current I.Q.’s and how much we adhere to the dogmas of materialism and how much we fail to approach the vast understanding of our ancestors and how our human forms and our Consciousness have truly evolved.

Ah but for all intents and purposes everyone wants you to hold fast to the thought that man is certainly animal. So little in the form of higher aspects appear and so little is studied or taken seriously. Any concrete connections to a phase above the human being that humanity can attain to is overshadowed by the density of the argument of how we carry all the animal instinctual baggage of karmic weights and all the species of the animal kingdom around with us, so that any attempt to look into the human being and see how it carries the immortal incarnating system in it’s nature, is merely brushed aside for the hopes that the riddle of man can be anchored to the instinctive remains of the beasts of the earth.  And the struggle to lift creation upwards again will certainly be humanities payback to creation, for creation going through travail waiting for the awakening of humanity.

Yet indeed humanity does carry the whole stone, plant and animal kingdoms as part of its vast and intimate connections to the Earth. Yet we would be hard pressed to examine Ardi’s ancient bones in order to unriddle that which grows upwards into the Divine.

The following visualization will probably help clarify the complex concept:

Let us imagine that the ‘essence of human’ is present, The I AM, the faculties and forces that the Angels had worked and preserved descends slowly in a large vast sealed field of cosmic forces, like the circle and a balloon floating slowly towards it’s destined intersection with matter and forms already prepared, yet full of all the complexity of soul that the Angels had bequeathed to humanity. Forms from the hexagonal crystal and bee honeycomb to the five star flowers, butterflies and insects to hoofs, paws and claws becoming hands, four chambered hearts, fish fins that are stunted hands and shoulder bladed wings of birds, without hands and bats whose fleshy fingers and arms have become wings, are all prepared ahead of the arrival of the delicate baby who has no instant animal skills or abilities but is the refined wholeness of the whole.

And we can picture these mighty form forces slowly coming towards an intersection with the material developments already in preparation and progress below.  There is a visible Darwinian and Evolutionary line that is developing and these forms from stones, plants, animals, have come down in formative stages ahead of humanity in preparation for the immense mystery of the coming Formative Being, the coming I AM of Man.

Such a mighty chain of creation had to be prepared before it could link up and many lower forms had to arise in ever greater complexity before the arrival of the HUMAN, just as Darwin had insisted. However this does not mean that humans arose and grew out of these lower forms but rather these earlier forms were shed from the descending complex system of bones, complex lymph glands and vast nature forces of plants that are, even today, potent healers and poisons that become the specialized forces of  insects, snakes and animal skills. They each with their own specialized forms are given a special spot in the chain of creation.

Humanity waited until the times of specialization-the descent of the animal kingdom—were over before descending into mineral form, though vestiges of all animals remain in human nature (which is the meaning of Noah’s taking a pair of all animals into the ark, the post-Atlantean human body [see Gen 6,19-7,3]; it is also implicit in the “wild beasts” in Christ’s temptation experience [Mk 1,13]9).

Nowhere have I found these principles, as they apply to human evolution, more ably expressed than in Hermann Poppelbaum’s Man and Animal (MAA), published in 1931. Poppelbaum was already a capable biological scientist when he had a fateful meeting with Rudolf Steiner in 1921 and a whole new world conception opened to him. A portion of his expression of it follows:

During the Azoic era the solid mineral matter of the earth is separated off for the first time. But it can only be taken up by those beings who are most backward in evolution; hastening ahead of the others, they “embody” themselves in the new substantiality. Thus the minerals appear as the first solidified kingdom on the earth. The remaining kingdoms, though already existent in rich variety and even at this stage divided into plant and animal and differentiated into types [he is here elaborating Gen 1,9-25, all of which existed in etheric form before taking on substantiality beginning with Gen 2,4b], still resist solidification. Their archetypes have remained behind hitherto in the more plastic elementary kingdoms; now, as they begin little by little to incorporate the solid elements, they take form as those organisms which belong to the great order of invertebrates. These were previously already differentiated as to their essential being, and their separation into types was an accomplished fact before the mineralization of their bodily form set in ["according to their kind"-Gen 1,11,12,21,24,25]. And here we have the answer to one of the great riddles of paleontology:—the plasticity of the ancestral forms and the lack of true intermediate forms able to relate the chief types in the geological records. The ancestral forms did indeed exist in bodily shape,—but they were of the finer substantiality which Rudolf Steiner has described as belonging to pre-earthly conditions, composed of the elements of warmth, air and water, without as yet having absorbed any solid matter. This supplies the reason for that mutability which has up to now completely baffled research. At the same time, we see why no impressions nor remains of them could be left in the earth’s crust. . . . The germs of the future human body are among those forms which resist densification.

Poppelbaum goes on through the various geologic ages describing the evolution of the Earth and its inhabiting kingdoms. But running as a thread through it all is the plasticity that exists in the succeeding stages until those stages take on materiality. Thereupon they become imprisoned in their form, and what takes place in that form thereafter is a higher specialization and imprisonment. The animal is thus far more efficient in its speciality than the human being. But the human being remained plastic until the last, unspecialized, and could thus, at the “right time,” take on materiality in a form that would permit it to receive self-awareness, “the I Am.”Time and time again,” Poppelbaum says, “on the long path of evolution it has been this quality of remaining plastic which has made steady advance possible for man.”

But Man was to be all this, yet thinking, speaking and neither fixed into one talent from birth, not fixed into one attribute, but able to be all things, the entire compendium of nature was to be reserved and filtered of limitations for the most refined best, reserved by the higher beings, so that all of the nature forces were drawn earlier into specialized forms. Each individual human being was to carry it’s own limitations but not limitation imposed upon it from without, but rather carried as it’s limitations, potentials and skills from within.

Humanity was to be the bearer of Soul, and Spirit and our design was the shining crystallization and distillation of all of creations work.  Man was to step into the Tenth Hierarchy, one stage below the Angels, and he would have the cognitive forces, the delicacy and the strength to eventually consolidate and grow in Freedom out of his animality.  Darwin was close, but the model I am presenting is visually far more accurate. There are far more accurate studies that show the full unfolding but your teachers and professors are too cowardly, too materialistic and too stubborn to think it through and offer further research. They themselves would be required to consider the Science of the Spirit in relation to their pet theories on materialism.

Our majestic ‘human essence’,  the rare and unique model we are presenting needs to develop in certain definite directions of refinement before the balloon lands  or intersects on earth with the immortal model that represents humanity. And long before humanity finally arrives, the specialized forces of hexagonal crystal, plants with wondrous virtues and star forces that may heal or poison have already appeared in specialized animal and nature forms.

When we take the crystal with it’s interior hexagonal structural field of light, and we see how the plant inverts and turns inside out from the crystal forms, so that we see how the plants now seek the outer light once more, but with soft sensitive light geometry open to the sun, and these plants are spread out as vegetation and blossoms and fruits, so we are able to understand the dynamic that reverses the entire plant kingdom and insect kingdom and shifts it, as it is spread out before us in space and is turned inside out once again.

Again as the animal arrives, once more the system is spread out and inverted from the outer plants to the various internalized animal forms and inner organs that have bony skeletal systems, lymphatic systems like the plant and nervous systems, still not able to learn with the tongue and thoughts of Angels. But the animals are finished, done, complete turned in reverse from the specialized forces of the plants, the animals are imprisoned in their limitations, their finished skill sets, while humanity arrives after having all the limiting forces and specialized forces shed so it arrives with only it’s inner slate of unknown spiritual capacities. We can recognize this in the vulnerability of a new born baby.

Babies arrive before us completely vulnerable with no skill sets. Human babies arrive with the starry glow of heaven still in their eyes and we cannot determine what mystery and what powers they have brought with them or if life will allow them to develop at all.

The balloon floats closer to the earth and the pathway of the child from the divine into human form is a descent into matter and form. There is indeed a stairway to heaven and a stairway, stage by stage down from heaven into the material world where the star child enters the watery sensory deprivation tank of the womb.

In the mighty model of evolution the moment of landing for humanity is constantly postponed because elements  and parts of this majestic human essence of all that we are separates off and lands in the visible Darwinian revelation of the unfolding of species. But each human being is an I Am, a Species unto itself.  Each human being and Angel carry with it the ever developing education and perfection through incarnation after incarnation and connected in all by the immortal forces of the I Am and the Anatomical Miracle we call the bodily forces that now carry the Immortal essence through ages of time and reincarnates ever and again in different learning settings, but is always itself, it’s own, it is a species and an individual unto itself wearing the uniform code design of Human. And calling itself I. No other creature can call itself I for each human is a species unto itself.

Many elements are successively emitted in the Evolutionary preliminary chain of being: starting with the minerals, then plants, invertebrates, fish, amphibians, reptiles, birds, mammals, primates and finally humans. There are two parallel levels on this development: the spiritual essence (= the balloon model that is descending to intersect with matter, forms and the earth) and the physical instrument, the Human Sitar that is played by the divine, Man as Symphony of the entire Creative Word appears.

The hardened forms evolve each in their own earthly way. When the plants and animals have arrived on the earth, is when the process begins Darwin calls ‘Evolution’. Steiner and Poppelbaum complete what Darwin brought. Neither Poppelbaum or Rudolf Steiner exclude Darwin’s theory and the model we offer does not exclude the brilliant evolutionary observations that Darwin has made either.

But humanity has a vast invisible family from which it has been designed and this is the part that plays itself out in humanity and human beings that is the Image of God.  Even though the hexagonal, and star forms run through nature, stones, plants and animals, The Tenth Hierarchy, humanity appears and only slowly cloths itself in the deliberately modified forms that had arrived before and prepared the way for the coming of that which shall remember and shall think, speak and know the wisdom of Angels and of Men.

The existing animal forms are the result of centuries of  limiting and acute specialization. Every animal is a specialist Under these early human forms we reckon the Peking Man (360.000 BC), the Pithecanthropus (100.000 BC) and Neanderthals (75.000 BC). The current man comes not from these precursors and certainly not from the ape men, nor from Ardi, as it could become clear if we didn’t limit our thinking to such stale materialism that is taught instead of the merging wonder of how Spirit shaped matter and integrated it into vast categories of beings and types that are laid out before us in the book of Nature Herself. Our blunt education prevents us from reading the brilliance in the book of nature herself. We want to laugh at the monkey’s because we don’t want to feel the shame of our Angels.

When all these precursors of humanity arrived in the visible world, using the imagery of the descending balloon containing the higher, reserved forces of the vulnerable unknown human essence, there was only one form left. The shocking reality is that this latter form occurs and slips down gradually into the visible world around 50,000 BC. This is what is finally unveiled in what we call the arrival of the homo sapiens.

According to Rudolf Steiner, these first human forms were as thin as the scent of a flower. The materializing process continues now with direct intervention from the forming of Seven different planetary forces that run through the great mystery of Atlantis itself, which finally lands and disturbs the foundations of the world enough that shattering volcanoes and earthquakes bring about the sinking of the Seven Atlantean Mystery Centers and the Great Flood that is depicted in Noah legends cover over the isles that once received the finished forms of humanity.

“With the Atlantean epoch begins the history and pre-history of man. This was the time, first of the oracle and later in the post-Atlantean epoch, of the mystery centers; from which all civilization comes forth. The post-Atlantean sub-epochs, of which ours is the fifth, have it as their task to develop, from the original clairvoyance of man, clear objective consciousness, and from the tribe-bound will of early times to evolve the free activity of self-conscious individuality.

“In the reluctance, so to speak, of Atlantean (Tertiary) man to proceed to mineralization, we perceive the secret of the absence of older traces of man in the geological record, and of their sudden appearance in the Diluvial (Glacial) periods. This solves the darkest problem of evolution, one which has presented extraordinary difficulties to Natural Science and provided the opponents of the theory of evolution with a welcome argument.

“In the later Atlantean Epoch then, when the descending spiritual and soul powers of man united with the ascending physical vehicle, the spiritual and the physical processes of evolution come into contact. The human “I” is now received as a kernel into the matured sheath of the body. Before this the bodily development was only a kind of shadow of the soul and spiritual kingdom; now the two halves have united to form a single process.”

Slowly the physical body materializes down to cartilage. Then there is a hardening till the current hardness we carry is achieved. If you think back in time, keeping in mind that the bones were still soft, fossil remains of humanities true ancestors may never be found. Cartilage, or soft material, now has been lost and didn’t fossilize as harder, denser bodies and forms that we found, have.

Firstly finding old bones is very similar to Hamlet’s astonishment, and sarcasm when one of the greatest heroes of the Earth, Alexander the Great, was known to have walked the Earth and Hamlet supposes to Horatio, what if we had found his old bones. Suppose we found Christ’s old bones. Suppose we found Julius Caesar’s old bones. We can go to grave upon grave and dig up all the bones we wish, or all the Ardi’s we can find in Ethiopia or Africa and declare, that these bones tell us nothing about the soul structure that the Angels cared for, that existed in the higher being of the human who wore those old bones at one time. Those bones were laid to rest and the soul has moved on.

>We have here the most graphic portrayal of the principle “the first shall be last, and the last shall be first.” The first (earthly being) in the spiritual world was the human being, who came last into materiality, while the first into materiality (the mineral kingdom) will be the last ultimately redeemed (spiritualized) from the material world (cf. Rom 8,19-23). In no true sense can the human being be said to have evolved from any of the lower kingdoms. The converging lines in Poppelbaum’s diagram result from the active agency of the descending “I Am,” being at one and the same time both the germinal human soul and the descending Christ (the “image” and “likeness”). While all of the three lower kingdoms are in some way reflected in the human being’s makeup, both physical and sensate, those elements remained plastic in the human so as not to predominate or entrap, but to be mastered and purified by the human being over time as it seeks on Earth the perfection of its own “I Am,” its merging with and into the higher “I AM” of Christ.

Kranich, a paleontologist and biologist as well as anthroposophist, shows in his Thinking Beyond Darwin (TBD) how the Goethean idea of the archetypal form must be applied, and how it emerges from the workings of the soul, the “I AM.” He threads the process through the transitions from class to class, from fish to amphibian, from amphibian to reptile, from reptile to mammal, and from mammal to human. The “I AM” is always there in the course of physical evolution, pulling the form forward until the time is right for the “I AM” to enter. Kranich’s work is highly cognate to Poppelbaum’s, and in fact he says near the end, “I could conclude our considerations at this point with the reference to Poppelbaum and Kipp, were it not for several new aspects that have emerged in the foregoing discussion” (relative to the “main trunk of vertebrate phylogeny”).

The Soul and Spirit are carried by our Angels, upwards into the vast stars, from a contracted vessel of flesh and bone, who thought, dreamt and spoke or grunted, as a dense concentrated center. But after death, the soul and the precise systems of the universe take our time of death as a mark point and we are entered into the mighty gates of the starry clock of heaven with it’s life and memories, it’s experiences, it’s Life Tableau, Life Review. Our jam packed lives are reviewed in wisdom filled beauty by the Angelic world who stands one stage above humanity. Each human being has an Angel that celebrates and harvests the life we have just lived. And so what if it was Ardi or Alexander the great, the bones will tell us very little about the soul who wore those bones. Such insights are part of the Evolution of Human Intelligence into a higher faculty.

German Version

Saw most of TNA’s Bound for Glory PPV last night and boy was I surprised…

Not only did I find a lot of the work sloppy and dangerous – with some great moves in between, but I found the refereeing terrible in some places, the camera work awful and all that confusion resulted in the commentators being caught off guard and surprised… Not well done at all. I think the production and planning (and writing) let the wrestlers down… Big time!

Off the top of my head, Booker T’s spin-a-rooni and Tara leaving to go attack a fan were both left off tape, while replay’s of great moves were also generally ignored.

My thought is that if the fans are always booing the good-guys, then you must have the worst writers in the world. Recall what happened to the Rock when her ws still new in the WWE. He was booked as a babyface, but the fans hated him so they turned him heel and that kicked off his career.  Why TNA / WCW doesn’t do this will forever kill me.

Take some of the matches for example.  Sting vs. AJ Styles.  Sting should retire after losing the match on a splash from the top rope after having his throat dropped across it.  The referee counted so fast it was clear that he wanted to make that pinfall before there was a kick-out kind of like what happened earlier in the card when there was a pin-fall in which the referee counted 3 but the match continued.  Even the announcers were like, WTF.  Shit lile that should not happen on TNA’s “biggest card of the year”. 

Also crappy was the ending to the Samoa Joe / Bobby “the boss” Lashley match.  Lashley won on a submission that even the announcers missed.  They were surprised, the fans didn’t know what happened, even Lashley seemed shocked.  Considering the fans were behind Joe, that submission should have come out of no-were but been a big – quick – move that everyone will know was deadly, not a little side headlock / choke.  Brutal.

The tag team match was confusing.  Ladders, belts, lots of guys.  Really fucked up.  I would have liked to have seen the belts hanging but both sets so that one team can grab both, or 2 team grab belts.  That way the champion will be a surprise… Not a match of dangerous suplexes off the top of the ladder and having to watch stiff-boy, Steiner and Boo-hoo Booker-T carry most of the match.  Is it really necessary, Vince Russo, for Stein to have to do the same move (ie/ belly-to-belly suplex) to every guy on the mat?  Really?

The Angle – Morgan match was odd as the fans were clearly behind Angle. 

The monster’s ball was gross, didn’t need that unless TNA is trying to put over Daphne.  She rocked.  Sadly, she suffered a broken arm after being tossed off the ring apron onto a board of barbed wire.  The writing and executing of moves was sloppy and careless.  Someone at TNA should lose their job over this PPV.

All in all, good effort, shitty everything else.

Nå er jeg litt sliten og småtrøtt etter helgen, så kan jo like godt sette meg ned og blogge litt!

Okey, på lørdagen feiret Marie og Inger på laget mitt bursdag sammen! I og med at jeg ikke hadde noe gave måtte jo dette kjøpes. Dagen startet da altså med at guro og jeg dro ned til CC for å kjøpe noen flotte gaver! Emilie skulle også være med på å spleise, men siden hun skadet seg på en trening var hun krypling og kunne ikke være med å handle. Til Marie kjøpte vi en liten prinsessebok hvor man kunne ta og kjenne på forskjellige kjoler…. ooooOOuooohhh…
Og til Inger kjøpte vi en liten fisk som man kan dyppe i vann, så blir den fylt og da spruter den ut vann igjen når man klemmer på den! Høres det ikke bra ut?

….. greit. Det var da tullegavene. Vi ga dem disse gavene først, så lot vi alle de andre gi sine gaver, så de trodde at det faktisk var de ordentlige gavene De ordentlige gavene var mye flottere! Håper jeg da i alle fall at de synes…. Marie fikk tre bøker + da den fine prinsesseboken, og Inger fikk et skjerf, en boks med fiskemotiv og maaasssee godteri fra smageriet. Etter flere timer med shopping måtte vi unne oss selv noe godt! så det ble MCDonalds tur

Guro er rastløs

Etter CC tok vi bussen til meg for å pakke inn alle gavene! Vi tok frem julepapiret og satte igang med jobben. Den lille fisken veide kanskje 0,3 gram, og var mindre enn en tennisball. Dette måtte gjøres noe med! Så vi fant en stor eske, gikk ut i skogen og samlet steiner og blader, og puttet dette i esken for å gi den tyngde! Fisken ble også lagt i esken, og illusjonen om at det var en stor og flott gave var komplett.

Okey! Gavene var ferdige, så ble kortene laget. Da det var gjort skiftet jeg, så busset vi til Guro hvor hun også skiftet. Hun hadde ikke logget ut av face, så der satt jeg og lekte meg litt på hennes profil. Det triste var at en på laget skjønte at det var meg fordi hun påstår at jeg har en tendens til å hacke folks profiler…. jaja….

Vi dro til bursdagen og fant ut at maten var hamburger, pomfrit og is til dessert. Det var en liten deja-vu opplevelse av lunsjen på maccern, bare ti ganger bedre. Gavene ble gitt, og da alle trodde vi var ferdige hentet jeg en nissesekk og kom opp med de ordentlige gavene. yeah!
Så ja! det var da lørdagen…..

I dag våknet jeg 14, men sto opp 15…. og jeg hadde kamp 17:30! Vi spilte mot bærumsverk som alltid har vært bedre enn oss. Hvis jeg har glemt å si det vant vi 1. divisjon i år, så vi har forbedret oss kraftig det siste året! Det gjorde at kampen i dag ble enda mer spennende. Etter 1-0 til oss i pausen (hvis jeg husker rett) endte kampen 2-2 til slutt. Treneren var fornøyd, og jeg tror resten av laget var det også. Likt med bærumsverk! Da har vi blitt gode!

Eller så har bærumsverk bare blitt utrolig sugne.

Quando nell’ambiente antroposofico si parla di pratica interiore (e la cosa può essere più o meno frequente in base al posto) saltano sempre fuori i sei esercizi. Conosco la loro importanza, e proprio perché mi sono documentato non riesco a capire come se ne possa parlare nel modo in cui se ne parla.

Innanzitutto sono sempre completamente decontestualizzati dalla totalità del cammino interiore indicato da Steiner.

I sei esercizi vengono indicati in due sfumature diverse: in un caso come esercizi che sviluppano il chakra (organo di percezione) del cuore, situato nel cosiddetto corpo animico; in un altro come esercizi che sviluppano il centro eterico del cuore (ovvero il centro che permette di dirigere e orientare coscientemente il suddetto organo, e non solo) situato nel cosiddetto corpo eterico.

Gli esercizi vengono quasi sempre comunicati in questa loro “seconda variante”. Al che mi chiedo: perché iniziare dai sei esercizi?

Lo sviluppo del centro eterico non parte dal cuore, ma dalla testa. Solo in un secondo momento questo centro va spostandosi verso il basso, situandosi progressivamente nella laringe e infine nel cuore. Lo sviluppo di ognuno di questi centri è conseguente ad una ben determinata virtù indicata dallo Steiner.

Non capisco come si possa parlare di “scienza dello spirito” da un lato e come dall’altro si possa essere vaghi o imprecisi sul cammino di conoscenza che implicitamente si riconosce valido.

After Daniel was born we got rid of all our candles, falling for the conventional wisdom that fire and young children didn’t mix. Recently, however, having seen and read about the use of candles in Steiner Waldorf education we’ve happily reintroduced them, respectfully, to our home.

We now have a large candle as the centrepiece at our dinner table. I’ve surrounded it with fresh ivy from the garden and acorns collected at our local park (see photo above). When we all sit down together to eat, the candle is lit and when the meal is over, the candle is blown out before leaving the table.  It adds a sense of occasion and a warm glow to our family meals.

Additionally, we now  have a candle in Dan’s bedroom which is lit during the bedtime routine. It creates a lovely calm and hushed atmosphere and he delights in blowing it out just before we say goodnight. A little rhyme has evolved to be recited together at this magical moment:

The presence of the candle seems to have a mysterious affect on Daniel and he clearly gets a good deal of pleasure from blowing it out. He has become calmer and more compliant at bedtime. I too hugely enjoy this new addition to our daily routine and hope it may long continue.
