Nesta altura, ao largo da Praia do Guincho, o Super Açor tinha cambado antes do STEP IN-ROFF conseguindo com isso recuperar boa parte da distância que separava estes dois barcos. Foi uma boa jogada!

Infelizmente para o STEP IN a competitividade durou pouco, pois passado pouco mais de 1h a aderiça do Spi rebentou e o resto do percurso até Sines foi feito só com vela grande e genoa, em borboleta…

Nicolas Anelka

France president Nicolas Sarkozy has weighed into the row between Chelsea striker Nicolas Anelka and the FFF.

Sarkozy has asked his sports minister, Roselyne Bachelot, to meet with the key people involved.

Anelka arrived back at Heathrow this morning after being sent home by the French Football Federation following an alleged outburst at manager Raymond Domenech.

That prompted the players to refuse to train yesterday but they returned to training this morning ahead of tomorrow’s match with South Africa.

Bachelot said: “We are taking note of the indignation of the French people and calling for dignity and responsibility. It’s not yet the right time to take disciplinary action but that time will come very soon.”

If players still continue to strike, then I may not be off the mark in saying that the players are holding out for Carla Bruni.

Som tidigare nämnt blev det lite Body Combat idag. Så jävla skönt. Behövde få ut ilska; slå, slå och sparka, och dessutom är sådan typ av träning sån där som får en att koppla bort allt som tankar heter. And I sure need more of that in my life, right? Tog en låååång frisk dusch sedan. Herre min je, jag känner det lite som om jag blivit smått befriad från ett oerhört jobbigt emotionellt stadium. Okej… inte befriad. Jag är fortfarande realist homies, men det verkar som om jag kan titta än lite mer kritiskt på allt nu. Värdesätta mig själv högt även i denna situation. 

För alltså.. jag är ju en patetisk 18-åring. Visst är jag mognare än många på en hel del sätt, min hjärna har utvecklat analytiska förmågor till en extrem nivå, extremt tidigt tillexempel. Men sedan finns det stunder då jag beter mig som om jag var 12. Exakt som om jag var 12. Vill inte gå in på dem mer specifikt faktiskt men jag tror att det har att göra med min oförmåga att kontrollera mina känslor.

Gud tar och Gud ger. Det finns en mening med allt. Visst kan tyckas att jag spenderade 6 år av mitt liv för mycket på att gnälla om en människa som aldrig kunde bli min. Eller ens passade mig. Men visst lärde jag mig ju ändå något? Dessa 6 år har också inneburit en skrivandeprocess utan dess like – en häftig period av mitt liv under vilken mitt språk har utvecklats något otroligt. Och sen visade det ju sig att allt går. För bara en vecka sedan kändes det som om jag aldrig kunde nå dit jag är idag. Jag har inte kämpat aktivt, men i och med mina analyser har jag tillslut kommit fram till en rimlig konklusion och i och med det erkännandet för mig själv, tycktes det som om slumpen ville hjälpa mig på traven genom att konstatera sanningen. Definitivt och för gott. Jag har förlorat en fantasirelation, men samtidigt utvecklas en av mina i nuet levande relationer hela tiden; det är så härligt att se att jag kommer någon vart. Med allt faktiskt.

För att hoppa mellan ämnena skulle jag bara vilja notera att den syssla som inkasserar flest vuxenpoäng hos mig nog måste vara mitt budgeterande och förmåga att hålla ordning på ekonomiska processer och regler. Där ligger jag nog före många. För övrigt saknar jag väl några viktiga kompetenser inför det rätt snart stundande vuxenlivet, tvättkunskaper och dammtorkarvilja bland annat. Fast nog håller ju den gamla devisen att “det viktigaste är att ha räkningarna betalade och maten på bordet” – tur att jag föddes med dessa talanger (ekonomiska och kockliga). 

Nu ska resan bokas och så måste jag ta tag i träningen igen. Fan att StepIn-kortet är så svinigt snordyrt. Har iofs råd, men det känns så onödigt att teckna upp sig för ett år om man, mot förmodan, sticker redan efter sommaren. Jaja. Traditionell jogging i skogen har ju aldrig skadat – även om jag måste erkänna att jag gruvar mig inför det eftersom det dels måste ske på kvällen = mörkt och vemsomhelstkangömmasigibuskarna-farligt och dels så kanske det är… halkigt? Fast skorna skall ju klara det. Nå ja. Step In är egentligen den bästa lösningen. 

Till sist så är jag på jakt efter ett par plommonlila mockapumps! Ser du några så hojta till! Quite urgent.

I caught up with Mike Wurum from BRM and we discussed choosing the  band name, the new EP and about buying a junk van or schoolbus and hitting the road..

Why did you pick the band name? We picked the name Blast Rocks Midtown pretty randomly I would have to say. We were all sitting in the studio recording our “In The Attic Sessions.” One of us picked up a newspaper and while reading, came across a headline that read, “Blast Rocks Midtown Manhattan today!” And it was a wrap from there.

How did the band meet? Pat and Myself(Mike) both grew up in the same dead-end, square-mile long town. We both played the guitar and went to school together our whole life. The funny thing was, we had never played together but both were told by everyone that it was a must. So finally, years later we tried it out and it worked amazingly. I then went and found the remaining members through Myspace…lol. Blackmon was from Connecticut, James way from Philadelphia, PA and Felix flew out from Los Angeles, CA. Now we are Blast Rocks Midtown!

What are the new things happening? We just recently released our debut record entitled, “Step Up Get Down” It is a 6-song EP that is available at the Official BRM Web Store. It is also currently available at www.digstation.com and will be available on iTunes, Rhapsody and all other major digital downloading sites within the next few months. We’re looking to secure a distribution deal to possibly get it on shelves at FYE, Best Buy and Walmart.

What you’d like to achieve in the music industry? Success. We would like to make a decent living off of the music that we make. Artistic expression is a huge thing for us, and if we were able to make it our career..it would be the ultimate Awesomeness!

What’s the new single your releasing (or will it be a surprise)? The single is entitled, “Step In” It’s a really dancy-electro song. Definitely catchy and a lot of fun! Check it out!

And do you have a favorite song from the EP? We all have our own favs, but personally I would probably say “Secret” I actually sing on the record for that one. It’s a very touching song for me and I love performing it.

Are you touring anytime soon? Hopefully the record sells nicely and we can have some money to buy a junk van or schoolbus and hit the road.

Who takes the longest to get ready before a gig? There would definitely have to be a tie breaker between Myself and Blackmon..we’re like girls..its pretty sad..we get made fun of all the time.

Are any of you working on side projects? Though, I am a songwriter and compose hiphop beats as well as music for a plethora of genres, I do not have a side project. No one in the band does…our main focus is BRM..theres no time to commit anywhere else. That would toally be like cheating on your girlfriend..and we are loyal mofos!

Who talks the most rubbish (at any given moment)? James..he doesnt even know what he says sometimes…he’s the most random. Very awesome person though..just extremely random…lots and lots of rubbish…lol

Who is the messiest on tour? James would take the bait for that one also…Definitely the messiest as well…lol

So langsam steigt die Nervosität..

Heut Mittag hab ich noch die restlichen Sachen, wie z.B. nen Dosenöffner *g* besorgt…

Not particularly offensive (no personal attacks, copious sarcasm etc.), but if you find that you take offense at something I have written, please reread it to see whether it was really directed towards you. If you still think it is, I would just like to say it’s not, but I apologise for any misunderstanding this may cause.

Now.

All commercial activities of 6J/K have been ordered to STOP for two days. The reason? “The school management want to check whether everything is being run properly.”

May I ask, wouldn’t an excellent way to “check” be to come up and see for yourself?

I’m serious. Closing the business results in no data with which to conduct this “check”.

What little data the “school management” (vague phrase) has gathered will be outdated by now. The business has been in a constant state of flux and few things can be taken as constants.

So, judging all our efforts and initiative based on outdated data? I am restraining myself from pouring flames onto this keyboard.

I don’t see why we should be forced to stop something beneficial to 6J and 6K that we have taken the initiative to do independently just so they can “check”.

The teacher did say that they/the teacher is quite happy with the way it’s being run so far. This is no small consolation, but then, I must ask, then why check?!

Here are some data.

• Thanks to our initiative, the total earnings of 6J and 6K are skyrocketing, having hit $100 long ago.
• The 6JK-tering service is bustling. Runners for this service often find themselves overloaded and have to ask others for help, which is gladly provided.
• 6K is bustling during recess, being the main headquarters of the commercial activities, filled with people throwing darts at the dartboard for a small fee to earn sweets as prizes.

Need I say more?!

Has there been any data so far that leads the “school management” to suspect any wrongdoing on our part? If so, investigate! But since you are happy, what good can come from closing down the business forcibly for 2 days, inconveniencing us and our customers, and forcing us to let down 6I, to whom we have promoted our businesses as being on their floor and being efficient and accurate (all true), when you have nothing to go on in the first place?

I don’t want to over-generalise and say that every time we take the initiative to speak up, to do something ethical that benefits us, the school assumes we lack the mental and emotional equipment to deal with it and “have to” step in and “help us”, but I must say, my limited experience so far points towards that conclusion.

How can you prove that there’s something worth checking for? What data do you have that tells you that we need outside intervention? How long more will this cycle continue? When we try to be independent, they assume we CAN’T be independent and step in, squelching our independence, and then they turn around and complain that we can’t be independent?

Gah. My keyboard responds badly to my fast typing.

Nu bär det av till mitt lokala gym, Step In. Tyvärr fanns inga pass att gå på, (och mitt favoritpass BodyJam tar julledigt samtidigt som jag ) men att träna i gymmet går fine det med!
