MTV, we’ve had some good times together. Remember Laguna Beach? Remember how I pined and cried over silly old Stephen Colletti? That was before he started dating that midget from the acne commercials and that nerd show that nobody watches anymore. Then he got dumped and that was awesome. But I digress…

MTV, I was so good at crying about Stephen that you gave me my own show. You even let me change my name from “L.C.” to “Lauren.” Then you scored me a sweet internship at Teen Vogue, even though I was totally incompetent, and paid the rent on an apartment that was too luxe for a young girl just starting out in Los Angeles. Yes, you gave me so many things MTV, and I paid you back. I paid you back with my tears. I cried in taxicabs and I cried on rented yachts. I cried in Les Deux and I cried  in Hyde. I cried in public and I cried in private.

But a girl can’t cry forever, MTV. It was time for me to move on. I had books to write and low end fashion to design.

So when I decided to leave The Hills last spring I thought you guys would do what was right. I thought you would end the show. But not only did you keep the show going, you replaced me (replaced me) with my arch nemesis, my mortal enemy, Kristin Cavallari.

Nothing hurt me more than watching the opening credits to the season 6 premiere of The Hills last week. Instead of seeing me, Lauren Conrad, driving in my convertible with the the California wind blowing through my hair, there was Kristin Cavallari. In my opening credits sequence! That was a real “fuck you” MTV. Don’t you know anything about the girl code? You’re supposed to be my friend, MTV.

Watching the first two episodes, it’s like I never even existed. There’s this big Lauren-shaped, tear-free hole in the show and MTV, and no matter how many skanks you hire, you can never fill that emptiness.

Stacie the bartender? Really MTV?

And to choose Kristin! You think Kristin will give you tears? Kristin can’t cry. And even if she could, she certainly doesn’t wear enough mascara to make her tears nice and black like mine are. Who else is going to give you inky black tears, MTV?

Heed my words, MTV: First Kristin Cavallari came for my opening credits, then she came for Audrina’s motorcycle helmet. Well, MTV, one day Kristin Cavallari is going to come for you. And I won’t shed a single black tear.

Clothes Over Bros Fashion Show At Tric (photo courtesy of the CW)

This week was supposed to be all about Brooke’s fashion show, but so far every week has been all about Quinn and her dissolving marriage. Obviously there must be more to the story than they are telling us, otherwise Quinn wants to get a divorce for stupid reasons – like she wouldn’t make the same decision now she did 2 years ago? Personally, I don’t think that’s anything to get divorced over. I think Quinn did something bad, but we just don’t know what that something is yet. I also predict a relationship between her and Clay will arise in the future. I’m not sure why Alex decided to be nice this week, but it was cute that she helped out Milly. And since when are Brooke and Victoria on good terms? Next week looks interesting with Haley winding up in jail. My prediction: the lying bitch is going down.

I can’t blame the chocolate cake and coffee churning in my stomach for my current level of queasiness: Kristin Cavallari makes a purported $90,000 per episode of The Hills. Which, at least in my opinion, is kind of a lot considering her job description.

$10,000 for every bang session with Justin Bobby and/or Stephen Colletti.

The Bitch is Back on The Hills tonight, September 29th at 10/9c.

Idag hadde me første dag på skolen med kjemi! Veldig lurt å ha kjemi som tema heile første ukå med skole sånn at me begynne me det vanskeligste først liksom! Hehehe.. anyway så forstår eg det me har hatt så langt.. håpe det fortsette sånn =)

Etter kvert som skoledagen gjekk begynte det å bli veldig varmt i å me at me ikje hadde aircondition og folk blei utolmodige. Heldigvis slutta me kl 14:00 å kunne komme oss rett i bassenget te nerkjøling etterpå. Låg me bassenget til kl 16:00 så gjekk me tur på kjøpesenteret og skikkte i de forskjellige butikkene. Eg kjøpte meg rosa sko =) Etterpå hadde me middag og gjekk på Lidl for å handla inn mat for dagene framover. Lidl har verdens bedre fersken iste for bare 0.55 euro ! Eg blei og ganske irriterte siden eg kjøpte meg sånne lave sokker til 10 euro for 3par, og rett etterpå fant eg 6par til 2.50 euro. Snakk om bommkjøp!

Når me kom hjem fra handleturen måtte me vaske opp siden me hadde oppvask fra heilt siden fredag, det va litt for å sei det sånn! Når det va gjort va det tid for datanerding.. me satte oss ner på bibloketet for å høre på alle de andre som sitte å bable i munnen på kverandre på skype. Veldig interessant ka du får me deg når flere i samme rom som deg sitte å snakke me sine nærmeste. Når eg va ferdig me nerdingå på dataen, som eg begynne å bli ganske lei av nå gjekk eg opp på rommet for å få ein telefon av mamma. Eg visste kje om eg sko le eller grina når hu ringte, merka hvertfall at det va godt å høre stemmen hennas. Seie vel seg sjøl at det ska ver beroligende å høre sin mors stemme eller ka Stakkars meg, liten baby som eg e ..  Uansett så va det godt å høre ein kjent stemme sjøl om me ikje fekk snakt så lenge.

De fleste studentene fra Atlantis her nere har fått seg spanske simkort sånn at de kan ringe billig hjem og te kverandre omtrent gratis her nere. Det e ikje heilt gunstig for meg siden eg reise hjem igjen om 3 mnd. I tillegg e telefonen min låst te netcom for 12mnd så eg måtte fått meg både mobil og simkort hvis eg sko gjort det.. har jo msn, facebook og mail utenom mobilen, så har faktisk ikje brukt den så mye heller. God natt folkens, here’s a treat =)

Here’s some tips on spotting a fake account: First, see if it has the Twitter verified seal on it. All celebrities have been encouraged to register with the company in order to show their legitimacy. If they don’t have the seal, check with TruthTweet and Valebrity, two very reputable databases of celebrity accounts. Lastly, check with official sites for the network, show and the celebs themselves. If they are not confirmed in any of those places, odds are they fake. Additionally, if the account in question is following any of the fake ones above, odds are that it is fake, too.

Being a journalist, I have access to the publicists and managers that most don’t have.  I will continue to contact them as necessary to confirm or deny accounts but please do you part: do not follow fake accounts but spread the word that they are in fact fake!

LC’s ‘Hills’ Shocker — It Was Staged! Surprising? Hardly. Entertaining? Of course! And with the return of Kristin Cavallari to the show next season, things are only going to get faker.

In an interview in May, Kristin said:

“It’s a TV show. I’m not going into it like, ‘I’m going to make great friendships with these people.’ It’s work! And drama sells. I think that’s why they’re bringing me in, because I know what works.”

I’ve been a fan of her work since Laguna. I say, bring on the drama. And hopefully, Stephen Colletti.

RELEVANT QUESTIONS–DON’T READ IF YOU DON’T WANT TO KNOW!!!

Danielle in Brookvale, NSW, Australia: Please tell me Brooke and Julian get together!? It’s about time there is a happy ending for Brooke. So far this season she has had her company, lost her company, had Sam, lost Sam, had Julian, lost Julian and officially lost Lucas to Peyton. Please give Brooke some love!
It’s sweet how concerned you are about Brooke’s future…and rightly so. The poor girl has been to hell and back this season—don’t forget that break-in and beating! Luckily, TPTB over in Tree Hill took note and her happy ending is on the way. Julian is back in the finale and it looks like B. Davis is finally getting her fairy-tale “movie” ending. And who better to give it to her than the Hollywood director himself? We’re just sayin’.

Jaymes in Oakland: Since Katie Voegle’s CD is coming out in real life too, is Mia going to stick around Tree Hill?
Mia and Chase (Stephen Coletti) are still going strong, but she is getting ready to hit the road to promote her new album. In the finale, Chase shows up at Mia’s CD signing and what she writes definitely makes for an awww-worthy moment. No word yet on if the duo will be back in the restructured show next year.

Joan in Los Angeles: I can’t imagine One Tree Hill without Hilarie Burton and Chad Michael Murray. I hope they didn’t really leave because of money issues!
While we can’t speak for CMM (although that video from a few months back spoke volumes), our best frenemy scored an interview with Hilarie after the news of her departure broke, and it sounds like at least her departure from the show was pretty amicable. Hilarie said, “Everyone was kind of agreeable about the situation. There were a lot of really wonderful conversations. It wasn’t a rash decision; a lot of thought, emotion and kindness was put into it. I would hope that that’s the story that gets out.”

What about Nick Lachey? Is he coming back for more?
If you mean is there any more “Nick Lachey-ing” in the finale, thankfully, no. The former pop star’s last appearance of the season was last week, but if you just can’t get enough of their constant first-and-last-name-calling of Nick Lachey, check out this week’s Condensed Soup on E! Online for Joel McHale’s take on the cameos. Hilarious!

lc_mundell: Does Ashley Rickards (Sam) make an appearance at all in the One Tree Hill finale? You said everything ends so pleasantly, and I can’t imagine Brooke having a happy ending that doesn’t involve Sam.
Unfortunately Sam doesn’t come back, but there is a sweet moment with Brooke talking to Sam on the phone. Like we said before, don’t worry about Brooke’s happy ending. It’s on the way.

Amyjbennett: We know that James Lafferty filmed with the NBA’s Bobcats.  Is that a dream sequence?
Interesting question, Amy. If by dream sequence you mean a scene that is dream-like because Nathan can’t believe it’s true, then yes, Nathan joining the Bobcats is a dream sequence.

Karen Novak: I would like to know if Dan Scott lives or if they are going to have him die? Please don’t have him die as he adds so much to the show and his relationship with Jamie is adorable.
Dan is still alive and kicking, but definitely still struggling with his conscience. In fact, the finale finds him in the company of a familiar—and beloved—former Tree Hill face who becomes a surprising ally in the birth of a new Dan Scott. In fact, two former castmembers are back for the finale. Guesses?

Sabrina in Prescott, Ariz: Is Millicent leaving Mouth behind and moving to New York? How could Brooke do that to them!
Don’t worry about this adorkable couple. They’ll survive whatever unexpected changes come to Clothes Over Bros.

Jessica: If Lucas and Peyton aren’t coming back to One Tree Hill, do they at least get a proper send-off?
That has been the topic of discussion this week and in our opinion, the answer is yes. If you haven’t already heard, cover your eyes now: Peyton and baby Scott beat the odds and live happily ever after in the finale. Okay, so it’s not that cut-and-dried, but after all of the heartache and loss Peyton has survived during six seasons of OTH, this final episode is a cakewalk. All elements of Lucas-Peyton saga are present in their final scene and we even get the traditional Chad Michael Murray voiceover. Fans are not left with a big question mark ending for Leyton. In fact, we’d go as far as to say that they do get their happily ever after.

Battle of the Blondes Part Deux?

Daytime Emmys: Unveiled the nominations this week with some very interesting choices–or lack thereof: no noms for The View or soap icon Susan Lucci and very few for Guiding Light which needs all the help it can get these days.  Sniff sniff.

Pink: Confirmed that she and Carey Hart are back together.  Makes us very happy. They just seem like a good fit.

The Hills: Back in the day, we were quite obsessed with the Kristin vs. LC fight over Stephen Colletti.  (For the record, we wanted him with LC!) So it’s quite interesting to hear that Kristin will take Lauren’s place on The Hills.  And yet, we still won’t watch the show…

Jay Leno: Here’s an interesting theory: because not everyone likes the funny man and won’t want to be subjected to him as early as 10pm, more viewers will switch to cable channels.  Don’t see why they just wouldn’t flip to another broadcast channel…

SIZZLED OUT: Wanda Sykes

STILL SIZZLING: This iconic reality show winner is being released from jail after evading income taxes on his prize winnings.

I’m going to let you in on something personal. I don’t expect you not to laugh at me and I don’t expect whatever shred of respect you may currently have before reading it to still be in the room after you read it, but I’m going to tell you anyway. You deserve to know. We’re friends, right, Internet? There are no lies here on In Ether.

I religiously watched the first two seasons of Laguna Beach. I thought it was great. I watched it every week and then watched the marathon at the end of each season. I loved it. I felt like part of that cool crowd. I felt like somehow they had accepted this divorced father of three children into their lives. I was hanging with Stephen. Flirting with Kristin. Soaking in hot tubs with LC. Wishing Talon would beat it. It was really cool. They didn’t have a problem with me. We were downs with each other.

Then something happened. They graduated high school and LC became Lauren and moved to the Hills and I’m not sure what happened to the rest of the gang. They clung to their 15 minutes for as long as possible before dissolving into obscurity. Then a new class came along. They didn’t accept me like the first cast. I didn’t speak their language. So I walked away, kicking a rock down the street and occasionally looking over my shoulder to see if one of them would see my tears and ask me to come back. They didn’t.

I couldn’t get into The Hills, either. And the sad thing is I still try. If I come across it while channel surfing, I’ll always stop, hoping that Lauren will remember the fun we had when she was LC and ask me to stop by for a drink. But she just acts like she doesn’t see me. She’s too busy with these new friends of hers. Terrible people like Heidi Montag, Spencer Pratt with his flesh-colored beard, and I don’t know… a bunch of other random extremely ordinary people pretending to be relevant. They just don’t have a place for me on The Hills.

I guess all good things must eventually come to an end. Laguna Beach served a purpose for me at that time in my life. I had to rediscover my youth so I could be rolling smoothly in overdrive into the relationships that would matter. You wouldn’t have liked me at that point in my life. I had the emotional stability of a high school junior. Which I think is ok. When I was a high school junior, I had the emotional stability of a 30-something divorcee.

I think the point here is that we all need certain things at certain times in our lives. I had to leave the gang from Laguna Beach behind because I have more meaningful dramas in my real life. I can’t get into their current lives because… well, my own life is more entertaining.

I just ask you to not judge me too harshly. We all have skeletons in our closets that need to come out to be dusted off from time to time.

After watching Taylor Swifts new video for White Horse I have to say I honestly think it was written for Jack Ass Jonas Joe Jonas. But you be the judge this song was really deep (like most of Taylor’s songs) and whether it’s for the Joe or not it’s an awesome song and video featuring love triangle expert Stephen Colletti.

I like Taylor; she has real talent unlike other young music singers. Her love interest in “White Horse” is Stephen Colletti from Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County. Stephen also plays Chase Adams on one of my favorite TV shows, One Tree Hill.

After “Love Story,” the little teeny bopper came out inside it (it wasn’t too lost). Here’s Taylor Swift’s latest: “White House.” Makes me want to hate Laguna Beach-famed, One Tree Hill star Stephen Colletti, but he’s too adorable, too.

And please forgive Miley for her horrid performance with Taylor Swift. She wishes she had half the voice of Taylor Swift.
