So, today I booked my taxi and exchanged some money.  The money will be delivered to my bank tomorrow for pick up.  I couldn’t decide if I should get Scottish pounds or Sterling pounds but   I went with Sterling because I figured the bank would have more sterling. 

Out to dinner tonight with friends to celebrate my birthday. Yummy!! Will be a fun time. always is with G & J :)

J gave me my birthday gift last night. A bottle of Chanel Noir!! It smells sooooo good!! G and J are so good to me. I’m a lucky girl.

Only thing left to do is to iron, decide on that carry bag, mani-pedi and to pack my toiletries.  Think I’m ready for some fun.

Eu não sei você, mas eu não gosto de usar moedas, toda vez que me dão troco em moedas eu coloco no bolso e chegando em casa deixo em algum lugar. Na verdade hoje em dia com a facilidade de cartões de débito as vezes nem notas uso mais.

Para muitos que estarão vindo a Londres pela primeira vez, perceberão que “prata” aqui vale, e muito.

O símbolo da libra esterlina é £ e em inglês é chamada sterling pounds ou somente pounds.  Apesar do Reino Unido fazer parte da União Européia, o Reino Unido não adotou (pelo não menos até agora) o euro como sendo a moeda oficial do país. A libra esterlina é utilizada na Inglaterra, Escócia, País de Gales e Irlanda do Norte.

As moedas são: 1 penny, 2 pence, 5 pence, 10 pence, 20 pence, 50 pence, 1 pound, and 2 pounds. 1 centavo, 2 pence, 5 pence, 10 pence, 20 pence, 50 pence, £ 1 (one pound) e £ 2 (two pound).

Hoje £ 1,00 equivale a R$ 3,08.

 Já as notas utilizadas atualmente no Reino Unido são: de 5 libras, 10 libras,  20 e a de 50 libras (que pra mim é como a nota de 100, quase não vejo).
