The Coast Highway is loud at the intersection of Oak Street because there is no stoplight. There is a walkway however, one that gives immediate permission to any walker wanting to cross, but it certainly doesn’t stop traffic for very long. Long enough though, for the drivers to be annoyed in their German and Italian and English chariots. They accelerate quickly because of those lost precious seconds and it is angry. Then there’s the diesel engines and the motorcycles decibels. The beach is nice down there at Oak, well, nice enough anyway, and in the summer and weekends the people park by my window or up the street where the parking is free and walk down the steps to the sand, all of them wearing wearing over-sized sunglasses, carrying over-sized beach bags, laughing in over-sized laughter. At night across the street, the sound of the Sandpiper is depressing and shameless and the people move awkwardly to a lifeless music, hoping to be young again. Its all a joke though, the place has only about 6 beers, all of them domestic, and nothing on tap. The Persians and the Arabs (I don’t know which, I’ve never talked to them) seem fit to smoke and dance and play music on my head every time I sit to write and that’s when it the loneliest. Yes, its loneliest when they’re dancing drunk on my head and yes its loneliest when the diesels roar and yes its loneliest on the weekends and in summer and on those depressing stools across the street. I am loneliest when I sit upon this sandy rock and watch the sun fall into ocean, while the couples hold each other as they pass, while the families do family things, while the ugly birds do ugly things, making ugly tracks in the ugly sand, as the abandoned cliff mansions watch over us, abandoned in the cliffs because its October. When its low tide, sometimes I can see the rocks in the breaks, but only when the sea is far away, near China perhaps. Even though its right there, just right there in front of me, the water is flat and hollow and vacant and dead and that’s when I feel the loneliness of beaches, at the very place where some great expansive thing comes together to meet the many, many small and tiny things.

Each house owner wants to add something or the other to improve the decoration of his / her home. Fr

Each house owner wants to add something or the other to improve the decoration of his / her home. Frequently owners invest in things that they believe will add spice and style to their home. Among other stuff home furniture investments are common with many homeowners.

Home furniture includes items like chairs, tables, beds, cupboards and stools etc.

Today stools have now become a favored addition in most houses and bar cosco stool have now become a smart choice to mount up to the decoration of home bars, kitchens, dining rooms for example.

With personal home bars turning into a norm in most houses the clamor for stools has gone up especially metal bar stools and wood bar stools. The cosco stool can truly be a pleasant addition to your house if you’re thinking about building a personal bar at home. The members of your family as well as chums would be certainly impressed by this stool. Cosco stool is available in both metal and wood form.

People wish to buy them because these are cheap and also all of the models are priced comparatively low.

Both wood and metal bar stools are dissimilar from one another and you’ve got to understand the difference before selecting one. Of course your decision also relies on your private preferences and need. You can check out different stools at the stores or market as the 1st step. You may also guage how cushty they happen to be and do they look pleasing and so on. You can take along a relation or chum to help you in your judgment. The cosco stool is certain to galvanize you in all of these departments. These look classic, cost less and even the top end ones are cheaper than the common metal ones. If you’re on a little budget then wood bar stools is the only option. You may start off decorating your house with wooden types and then upgrade to metal ones later. The cool thing about wood bar stools is that they give a warm and conventional look to your home and as these are available in different colours as well as color combos you can pick one that suit your taste or which blends well with your home interiors.

Though metal bar stools are pricey yet they’re powerful and sturdy. Whatever might be your choice you are certain to be benefited with a cosco stool.

This antique Scottish stool is one unique piece of carpentering. I love it but wonder if it’s actually comfortable to sit on and if there is more than one. Only the Scottish would come up with a sculpted balls and buttocks shaped stool for their kilted lads, and I’m thinking there might just be more than a few kilted lads eagerly awaiting this purchase for xmas. Best not to sit on it when it’s cold i imagine!

It should also come with a cushion insert to make it a unisex seat.

This heavy-duty stool from Seating Inc. is a little weird looking, but it’s a really fantastic design for anyone who sits on a stool for long periods of time. It features a cushioned, rotating bar that can be manipulated to serve any number of comfortable and supportive positions — use it as an armrest, back rest, or “belly bar”!

This innovative stool is also a great choice for people with back or shoulder problems, or anyone who’d like a bit more support than your average medical stool.

More perks: rated up to 275lbs, with a lifetime warranty, and an extensive list of colors and fabrics! It can also be purchased as a low, medium, or full-height stool.

So, Yesterday, on Friday, We planned to head out to an Izakaya around 7. However, Sebastian and I had some business to do in Tokyo, so He and I took off at around 1:30, and arrived in Akiba at around 2. I wanted to buy a new TV and a Xbox360. Both used, cause I didn’t want to spend too much money. On the way there, I wrote a letter to the woman who’s name I received from Mateusz about the Job opening. Shortly thereafter, she called me, but in Japan you’re not allowed (well, supposed to) talk on the phone on the train, so I told her I’d have to call her back later. We arrived in Tokyo and shopped around for a bit, before I found a Used 360 with DVD remote, Wireless controller, Headset and HDD for 12000￥ Not bad, that’s about 100 bucks US. My brother paid maybe 3 or 4 times that much for all his 360 stuff.

We got back to campus at around 7, which is right when everyone was meeting to head out, so we quickly headed to the dorms, grabbed a quick shower, then headed back to meet at the campus Lawson. We headed to Dorakichi, the Izakaya we always go to with Kei, Take, and two of their friends, Nanami and Mari. I called Lee Jiyoung and she came a bit later as well. When we were done with the Izakaya a few hours later, we all were going to head to Karaoke, so we headed back to campus to get our bikes. On the way, the Japanese said they were too tired and went home, but we really wanted Karaoke, so we went anyways. Lee Jiyoung called Jang EunHye and she came with us as well. We all got our bikes ready and then Lee and Jang asked where the Karaoke was. We told them it was my Kita-Urawa station, which is about half an hour bike ride. Jang said she can’t even ride her bike to Minami-Yono station, which is about half the distance. So she rode on the back my my bike instead. Lee said she thought she could make the ride, so she rode her own bike. The only problem is, theres one big hill on the way, that I have trouble with, as my bike is not a speed bike and pulling my 100 kilos (220 lb) up the hill is hard enough, but to add another 45ish Kilos (100 lb) to the back of my bike really weighed me down. None the less, I made it to Kita-Urawa, but we walked up the hill instead =D. Right as we arrived, two cops came up to me and said, “You know, it’s dangerous to ride with someone on the back of your bike” and got ready to write me a ticket. Great, just what I need, to get in more trouble. However, the other cop was like, “Dude, they’re foreigners, let the be.” then asked us what we were doing in Japan, what we were studying and let us go.

Whew.

So then we went to the Karaoke, which was 370 yen for 30 minutes or 1200 yen per person from 12 to 5am. We chose the 5 am package (even though it was already like 1am). We went inside and got our room. We began singing like fools (my voice almost died) but had a great time. The Korean girls were obviously singing in Korean, However, as it is a Japanese Karaoke, they had the katakana furigana above the Hangul, so Alessio and I tried our best to sing along as well. To stray from the topic a bit, but to explain something coming later, we have this joke about German/Swedish, because one time we heard the Sweedes talking in their native language and we were talking about how all the words sound really manly and one of the words we heard them use was Stol, pronounced “Shtoool.” when we asked them what that really awesome word meant, they were like, “uh.. Chair…” which is about as not-manly of a word you can come up with. So now whenever the swedes or the germans, which share the same word, are speaking to each other in their language, everyone interjects “SHHHTTTOOOOOOL” and good times are had.

Anyway, to digress, the Koreans are singing, Alessio and I are trying to sing along, and it comes to near the end of the song, and the lyrics, which we can read the phonetics of, say SHTOOL SHTOOL SHTOOL. Seriously, like about 45 times. We lost it, we were rolling on the ground laughing for the better part of twenty minutes. When I think back, I still break out into laughter.

At 5, we packed up and headed home, the cops were gone, so Jang jumped back onto the back of my bike and I rode home. I decided I would cook breakfast for everyone when we got home as well. Sebastian and Harrison went home, and I just made eggs for the rest. I dunno if it was good, they said it was, I’m still not a confident cook though. Everyone was really tired though, so they all returned home shortly there after and I crashed pretty quickly after my exhausting bike ride.

It’s one of those things that you hope you never have to do in life, but I have twice had to g

It’s one of those things that you hope you never have to do in life, but I have twice had to give a stool sample for the doctor and they have been the most traumatic experiences of my life. Firstly, they give you a tiny sample jar, which I think is the same as the urine sample jar, which also has a little spatula built into the lid. When the Doctor gave it to me, I couldn’t hold back my horror as there is no way you can poo straight into it. So I asked her if she had any tips on how to use it? Then she had the look of horror as she was quite young and I’m pretty sure no one had asked her that before.

The Doctor told me that the easiest method is to defecate into another receptacle and then scoop the faeces from there into the sample jar. Why do Doctors talk like that? Is there a class at medical school called ‘You can’t say shit or poo to a Patient’? The first stool I had to give was the most traumatic as I was dreading it and put it off for nearly a week (note: I did actually poo during this time, I wasn’t storing it up or anything). When providing a sample, you want to do a good poo and I figured a solid poo would be easier to deal with in an el fresco situation.

My sample kit consisted of the sample jar and the bit of cardboard that Amazon wraps DVDs in when they send them to you. They are actually ideal as you can slide them under the toilet seat and they will reach to the other side of the toilet easily without risk of falling. So all you need to do for Step 1 of the process is do a poo like you would normally. In practice, it doesn’t feel normal though, it feels really weird.

Step 2 of the process is the most traumatic as you have to get some of the poo from your Amazon DVD cardboard to the sample jar and it makes me sick to even think about it again. The first thing that strikes you as you take a pause to mentally prepare yourself for what you need to do next, is that poo, when not in water, really does stink quite a lot. The second thing that strikes you is that the ‘handy’ spatula they provide is utterly pathetic as you push, probe and cut your own poo so it can be placed into the sample jar. I wretched several times before getting enough poo into the sample jar.

Step 3 is the disposal of the remaining poo and the Amazon DVD cardboard. The first is flushed and the second must leave your place of residence immediately!

Step 4 is to take the sample down to your Doctor or hospital. Handy tip here is to have already written your name on the sample jar. Trust me, you don’t want to have to write it on the jar with your own shit inside! By this point you feel good as all the traumatic stuff is out of the way, but Step 4 is actually quite traumatic too, much more than you realise. You have to carry your faeces whilst walking down the street and with other people around. You can’t carry it in your hand so you put it in your pocket and you can still feel the warmth from it. Your poo is really quite warm!

If steps 1-3 weren’t shameful enough for you and you’ve managed to cope with walking down the street holding your own excrement. You then have to hand your shit over to someone else. I had to do it at the GP Surgery reception. I was called forward and the guy said hello and I said I had a sample and very sheepishly handed it over, as if I was passing him drugs, and he held up a plastic tray for me to put it into as he definitely didn’t want to touch it.
