Today we saw decent overall volume in the markets, but still far from optimal. Early on the in the morning we noticed the volume was rather sluggish, and it really took the U.S market opening to get price action up to speed. This didn’t prevent us from trading though, as we exercised discipline and patience, the trades soon came to us. We were able to go 4 for 4 today, with a total profit of $690! Also, remember this +10% return today was all done on a $4,000 account trading account! (Futures Day Trading Account Management Video)

The first trade of the morning came on the Gold futures market (Symbol GC) roughly an hour after it began trading in the open outcry pits at 8:20am EST. Once again, the Gold futures were on its way to making new all time highs early on in the trading day, eventually reaching a top of 1153.4. During this impressive rally, there were periods of minor pullbacks in price, allowing us to take full advantage of them (Identify Market Sentiment For Day Trading Futures). At 9:20am EST, we decided to go against the trend and take the Gold market short on one of these pullbacks. We entered the market based off a 2-step short pattern, and were filled rather quickly at 1149.1. Once the order had been executed, we began to manage it through our ATM strategy as well as keeping a keen eye on our technical indicators. The market quickly sold off, allowing us to lock in profits for at least one price target of +4 ticks (2 contracts), leaving us with a total profit of +8 ticks ($80).

Shortly after our first trade was taken, along with the opening of the U.S Equities market, we found yet another opportunity to trade the Gold market! With the opening of the U.S Equities market at 9:30am EST, also brought more volume, and with it, new all time highs in the Gold futures market. As we continued to watch price action though, it was clear the buyers that took the market to new highs were quickly starting to take profits and sellers were more than willing to help push price back down (Gold Futures Day Trading Video). With this trend reversal occurring, we reacted hastily by entering the market short as well with a 2-step pattern to the short side. Our order was executed at a basis of 9:49am EST, giving us a basis in the market of 1152.3. This turned out to be a great entry price, because more sellers began to join the market, fueling it to the downside and giving us profits at +4 ticks (2 contracts), +8 ticks and +13 ticks, for a total of +29 ticks ($290)!

After closing out our second trade, we had to wait once again for the market to show us another trading opportunity. That opportunity came shortly after the Crude Oil market released its Inventories at 10:30am EST, bringing the market to life once again. For the most part the Crude Oil market consolidated throughout the day at $80/barrel, and has only recently made its push back below $79/barrel (Sideways Market Day Trading Futures). With the news being released at 10:30am EST, it gave the Crude Oil some great volatility and with it, great trading prospects. Not too long after the Inventories were released, we watched as the Crude Oil market climbed higher in price, giving us a chance to enter to the long side as well at 10:35am EST. We took our third trade based off a Breaker pattern long with a basis of 80.11. Our price pattern soon paid off, giving us a quick profit of +4 ticks (2 contracts) and +2 ticks (2 contracts) for a total of +12 ticks ($120).

The fourth and final trade of the morning came closer towards the end of our trading session, as we usually will continue to watch the market until price action tells us otherwise. Our entry price on this trade, oddly enough, was the same as our third trade. As the Crude Oil market continued its fade off the recently made highs, a brief pullback in price gave us a great chance to enter long. At 11:28am EST we entered the market long at 80.11, due to our Breaker pattern coming to fruition. As we watched price action closely with a live order in the market, price quickly pushed upward, with larger buyers scrolling across the ticker tape and allowing us to scalp some profits from the market (Scalping Futures Day Trading Video). We were able to close our final trade of the morning with profits of +4 ticks (2 contracts) and an additional +1 tick (2 contracts) for a total of +10 ticks ($100).

Market Commentary November 6, 2009

Well another Friday has come and gone, and with it brought yet another profitable day for the School of Trade! We had a good amount of news evens come out throughout the trading day, from the Non-Farm Employment Change and Unemployment Rate for the U.S at 9:30am EST to Canadian news and European news as well earlier in the morning. With all this added volatility, it certainly had us being extra cautious when taking trade, but didn’t stop us from making money! We were able to take six trades today and went 6 for six with a total profit of $932. The beauty of our style of trading is that all you need is a $4,000 dollar account! Because, for example today we took trades on the Euro futures, which has a $500 margin/contract and the Crude Oil, which only costs $1000 in margin/contract. This also provides you with a nice 1.5:1 RISK/REWARD RATIO! (Futures Day Trading Account Management Video)

Our first few trades of the day came on the Crude Oil market (Symbol CL). The Crude Oil market basically trended down the entire day, with brief periods of pullbacks. Initially in the early morning hours the Crude Oil market sold off quite strongly, due to the Canadian Employment Change and Unemployment Rate, which came out at 8:00am EST. Once those negative numbers had passed, we began to look for our first possible trade, given the added volume in the market at that time (Identify Market Sentiment For Day Trading Futures). We didn’t have to wait too long, because with the open outcry pit trading beginning at 9:00am EST, more volume was beginning to enter the market. At 8:54am EST we established that our classic breaker pattern had set-up in the market and we entered the market long with a basis of 77.59. As our stop limit order was executed, we saw more buyers enter the market, via the ticker tape, and were able to lock in profits at +4 ticks (2 contracts) and +8 ticks, for a total of +16 ticks ($160).

Our second trade of the morning, which also came on the Crude Oil, was taken shortly after the open outcry pits began to pick up in volume at 9:00am EST. With the added volume in the market, we noticed that price action was beginning to find a brief top for the moment being, and we quickly looked to take the market short with our trend reversal trade, the 2-step (Price Patterns Technical Analysis Futures Video). At 9:18am EST we entered the market short with a basis of 77.77; the selling pressure didn’t last long, but we were still able to scalp off +4 ticks (2 contracts) before closing our trade out at a profit of +8 ticks ($80).

The third trade of the morning came shortly after the second, and once again on the Crude Oil (Symbol CL). After the U.S news had been released and the volatility had died down some, we looked to enter the market once again, but this time with the trend, which was to the long side. With the U.S Unemployment rate coming out, the Crude Oil market began a strong rally, at which point we decided to jump on the trend and scalp a few ticks from it ( Crude Oil Futures Day Trading Video). At 9:38am EST we entered the market long with a breaker pattern and a basis of 78.41. As the market continued its rally, we were able to take profits at our first profit target of +4 ticks (2 contracts) for a total of +8 ticks before closing the trade ($80).

The fourth trade of the day came on the Euro futures, (Symbol 6E). The euro market had kept itself in a rather tight range in the early hours, but as more volume entered the markets, its range began to expand, but still produced a rather choppy market overall. With most of the news events being released for the day, the volume was showing a steady increase in the Euro market and we noticed that more buyers were beginning to enter the market, as our Pace of the Tape indicator flashed green for the go ahead (Euro Currency Futures Day Trading Video). At 9:41am EST we finally entered the Euro market long, with a breaker pattern. Our stop limit order was executed at 1.4890 and we quickly watched as the Euro trended higher, triggering all of our profit targets at +4 ticks (2 contracts) +8 ticks and an additional +9 ticks for our final contract, giving us a total profit of +25 ticks ($312).

Our fifth trade of the day had us returning to the Crude Oil market one last time. It wasn’t long after our last trade on the Crude Oil market, that it began to quickly reverse in its uptrend, and began its sell off for a majority of the remaining trading day. With the overall trend to the downside, we began looking for possible trade set-ups. We finally saw a perfect breaker pattern to the short side at 10:26am EST. We entered the market at 77.70 and watched price action closely to see if more sellers would enter the market (Scalping Futures Day Trading Video). As the larger sell orders came across the ticker tape, we were able to take profits at +4 ticks (2 contracts) +8 ticks and another +3 ticks for our final contract, giving us a total profit of +19 ticks (190).

The final trade of the day came on the Gold market (Symbol GC). With the gold market continuing to make new all time highs seemingly each day, today was no different. The U.S news events seemed to give the market the extra volume to set yet another all time high for the price as it rallied past 1100/ounce post U.S equities open at 9:30am EST (Gold Futures Day Trading Video). Once the market had set the new highs for the day shortly after the U.S Equities open at 9:30am EST, the buyers quickly began taking profits and more sellers began to pull price back into the 1090’s. At 10:31am EST we finally saw a great set-up to take with the short term trend, our breaker pattern. We entered the Gold market short with a basis of 1093.0 and quickly saw sellers push price further down, triggering our first profit target of +4 ticks (2 contracts) before closing our order for a total of +8 ticks ($80).

Market Commentary October 22, 2009

Today was another great day of trading for all of us at the School of Trade! All of the trades we took today were after the major U.S news events, and we made sure that the U.S Unemployment Claims were released before looking to take any trades. The reason we did this was because, many of the larger institutional traders will wait to play the news events, which is very dangerous to day traders such as ourselves (Identify Market Sentiment For Day Trading Futures). We were able to take three trades this morning, and went 3 for 3 for a total profit of +$260!

Our first trade of the morning came prior to the U.S Equities opening at 9:30am EST. Of course we also had to wait for the U.S Unemployment Claims number to be released at 8:30am EST, which gave us roughly an hour to trade before the U.S open (3 Key Components To A Day Trading System Video). After the news, we began scanning all markets for possible trade set-ups, and it wasn’t long before we found one on the British Pound futures (Symbol 6B). The pound had been retracing off the lows of the day, and once volume stepped into the market after the news, it began selling off once again; we decided to take advantage of the short term trend by entering the market short with our Breaker pattern. At 9:02am EST our order was executed with a basis of 1.6532, and we were swiftly able to lock in profits at our first profit target of +4 ticks (4 contracts) for a total of +16 ticks on our first trade of the morning ($100).

The second trade of the morning came shortly after our first, when we were able to scalp some ticks off of the Crude Oil market (Symbol CL) (Scalping Futures Day Trading Video). The Crude Oil market had been consolidating inside the $80 price range ever since the beginning of electronic trading, but once the open outcry pits opened up at 9:00am EST, the market began a strong sell off into the $80.00 price level. Taking advantage of this short term trend change, we entered the market at 9:04am EST with a Breaker pattern. Our order was executed at 80.34; where our stop limit was placed, and as more sellers joined the market, price action was able to lock in +4 ticks (2 contracts) for a total profit of +8 ticks ($80).

Our third and final trade of the morning also came on the Crude Oil market (Symbol CL). Ever since the open of the U.S Equities market, price hadn’t really broken out of its range near $81/barrel, so we continued to be patient and wait for our set-ups to come to us, we were not about to force any trades and risk losing all of our profits for the day. Our patience finally paid off at 10:22am EST when we noticed that the Crude Oil market was beginning to rally into the $81/barrel price level ( Crude Oil Futures Day Trading Video). Seeing the short term trend to the upside, we quickly entered the market with a Breaker long at a basis of 81.09. Once our order was executed price action began to speed up and momentum once again curled in our favor; with an increase in the speed of the tape to the long side, we were able to guarantee +4 ticks (2 contracts) on our final trade of the morning with our ATM strategy, for a total profit of +8 ticks ($80).

Market Commentary October 15, 2009

Well another great day in the markets for the School of Trade! Today was a great testament to how you can apply the James Wave patterns to any market at any time, as long as it had volume. All of our trades today came from the British Pound futures, (Symbol 6B) and for any people who don’t know the contract specifications, it required a $500 margin/contract, and so to trade with 4 contracts like we do in the room, you would need at least a $2000 account (3 Key Components To A Day Trading System Video). Needless to say, our short break from trading the pound, didn’t hurt us, we were able to take all four of our trades today on it, going 4 for 4 with a total profit of +$675.00! So, if you traded with a $4,000 account like we suggest, many of our members had a nice 15% return on their accounts today!

Early on in electronic trading, price action was continuing its uptrend from yesterday on the Pound futures. The trend was further more extended after a wave of European news early this morning, sending it even higher into the U.S equities market open at 9:30am EST. Once price began retracing off its highs, we began seeing evidence of a trend change, based off our technical analysis as well as our proprietary indicators (Identify Market Sentiment For Day Trading Futures). We looked to take a trend reversal trade, with our 2-step pattern, to the short side. At 9:42am EST we entered the Pound futures short with a basis of 1.6241. Our stochastics were already starting to curl over, and we were fortunate enough to catch quite a runner to the sell side, as we were able to take profits at +4 ticks (4 contracts), +8 ticks (2 contracts) and +4 ticks on our final 2 contacts for a total of +40 ticks on our first trade of the morning!

Our second trade of the morning came shortly after the Philly Fed Manufacturing Index figure was released in the U.S at 10:00am EST. The Pound was retracing off its recently made lows, and we were ready to take it to the short side once again. As price began to make a double top, we looked for an entry short, and quickly were able to identify a 2-Step pattern setting up (Price Patterns Technical Analysis Futures Video). We enter short on the Pound futures at 10:12am EST, with a basis of 1.6229 we actually exited the trade early because of buying pressure coming across the ticker tape, and were able to close our trade with profits of +8 ticks!

The third trade of the morning came shortly after the Natural Gas Storage figures were released at 10:30am EST. As the Pound has been pulling back from its highs of the day, it looked to us that it was going to make another rally towards the highs. As we watched our Pace of the Tape indicator, which actually quantifies the speed of the ticker tape, and noticed more and more buy orders entering the market. As the market began to change its trend to the long side, we were patient to wait for a perfect set-up, such as the Breaker (Scalping Futures Day Trading Video). At 10:52am EST our patience finally paid off, as we entered the Pound futures long with a Breaker pattern. After having our order executed at 1.6248 price action rallied even more as buyers quickly entered the market, we were able to take profits at +4 ticks (4 contracts), +8 ticks (2 contracts) and +2 ticks for our final 2 contracts for a total of +36 ticks.

Our final trade came only minutes after our third trade; as we looked to take advantage of the uptrend. As price continued its rally higher, we noticed price had begun to pullback, and we quickly began to qualify a possible James Wave entry to the long side (Swing-High Swing-Low Technical Analysis Day Trading Futures Video). As price action pulled back to our trigger line, we were able to enter in the direction of the trend, the long side, at 10:54am EST. Our basis on the Pound futures was at 1.6250 and it wasn’t long before our first profit target was hit for +4 ticks (4 contracts) and we ended up taking profits once more for an additional +2 ticks (4 contracts) = +24TICKS

After a slightly lower volume trading day yesterday, due to the Columbus Day holiday in the U.S, tod

After a slightly lower volume trading day yesterday, due to the Columbus Day holiday in the U.S, today we looked to see a strong increase in volume throughout most markets (Identify Market Sentiment For Day Trading Futures). We certainly saw an increase in trading volume today, and were able to return more than 10% on our account this morning, going 4 for 4 with a total profit of +$680.00 when trading with 4 Contracts. Let’s review those great trades….

Our first trade of the morning came on the Euro futures (Symbol 6E). The euro futures finally broke through the 1.4800 price level around 6:00am EST this morning, and we looked to capitalize on this rise up, or possibly on the retrace off the new highs (Euro Currency Futures Day Trading Video). We quickly noticed that the highs were not holding, and began to look for a possible entry to the short side. We were able to qualify a Breaker shot at 8:59am EST, and our order was filled at an entry price of 1.4838. With continual selling pressure on our side, we quickly closed our trade with profits at +4 ticks (2 contracts), +6 ticks and +10 ticks for a total of +24 ticks on our first trade of the morning ($300).

Our second trade of the morning came on the Mini-Russell (Symbol TF). Since the opening of the U.S Equities market at 9:30am EST, the mini-Russell began to sell off strongly, finally finding a bottom at 604.0 at 10:00am EST. Seeing that the selling pressure was finally subsiding; we looked to enter into the long side, especially after seeing a decline in the speed of the tape to the short side. At 10:10am EST we entered the mini-Russell based off a Breaker long pattern and our order was then executed with a basis of 605.7. It wasn’t long before a large group of buyers also entered the market, and gave us the opportunity to take some profits from the market at +4 ticks (2 contracts) giving our trade a total of +8 ticks ($80) (E-MINI Futures Day Trading Video).

Our third trade of the morning came more than an hour later, on the Crude Oil market (Symbol CL). Since the beginning of electronic trading, the crude oil market took off to the long side, pushing prices into the $74/barrel price level, even before the open outcry pits began trading at 9:00am EST. Once the open outcry pits began trading though, more volume pushed prices to the short side, and continued into the open of the U.S Equities market. After a short rally into the $74/barrel price level once again, the crude oil market began to pull back, which is exactly where we looked to take our trade ( Crude Oil Futures Day Trading Video). After seeing increasing selling pressure, via our Pace of the Tape indicator (P.O.T ), we entered the market short, with a Breaker patter at 11:24am EST. Our order was executed at 73.19; and we were able to take profits on our trade at +4 ticks (2 contacts) before getting scratched out of our remaining contracts, for a total of +8 ticks ($80).

The fourth and final trade of the morning came on the gold market, (Symbol GC), which also rallied during the hours of electronic trading, and before many currencies and commodities began trading in the U.S, gold was already trading at new intra-day highs of 1069.7. Once more volume enter the market at 8:20am EST, due to the opening of gold trading in the U.S, sellers began to take back some of the gains from earlier in the morning, and by the time the U.S Equities market opened, price seemed to find a bottom at 1056.0 (Gold Futures Day Trading Video). The gold market didn’t stay down for long though, as more buyers began to enter the market, a strong rally looked to be in the making, and we began to identify possible set-ups for entry. At 11:50am EST we were able to get our perfect entry on the gold market with a Breaker to the long side (with the trend). Our order was executed and filled at a basis of 1063.9; where, with more and more buyers entering the market, we were able to lock in some great profits of +4 ticks (2 contracts), +8 ticks and +6 ticks, for a total profit on all 4 contracts of +22 ticks ($220).

Today was another great day for all the traders at the School of Trade. As we have said the past few days, we want all of our traders to be well capitalized, this ensures them the proper amount of margin required to enter the trades we do, and gives them the best chance of making money in the markets. We have always told all our members and guests, the minimum you account value you will want is $4,000, which will allow you to take advantage of all our trade set-ups on all the various markets we trade on a given day (Futures Day Trading Account Management Video). With the amount of trades we took today, and the amount of profits we made, it was only possible because we had a well capitalized account of $4,000. We went 6 for 6 today, making +$1,102.00 on 4 Contracts!! (A 25% return on your account with only a $4,000 balance).

Our first trade of the morning came early, on our old friend the Dax! (Symbol FDAX). Once the London markets opened up at 3:00am EST, the Dax futures took off to the long side after determining a bottom in price at 5700.0. After seeing the increased volume to the long side we immediately looked to capitalize on the quick change of trend with a 2-step or breaker pattern (Dax Futures Day Trading Video). At 3:44am EST we entered the FDAX with a 2-Step pattern long, getting our order filled at a basis of 5709.0. We quickly saw a newly formed line of resistance above us and were able to lock in profits of +5 ticks (2 contracts) before automatically closing our trade out via our ATM NinjaTrader strategy, for a total of +10 ticks on the trade ($185).

Our next trade came on the Dax Futures (Symbol FDAX) as well, after our first trade long on the DAX, we shortly realized the trend was going to continue and decided to enter the market once again, in the direction of the trend. This proved to be the correct decision as we entered the market long at 4:01am EST with a Breaker pattern (3 Key Components To A Day Trading System Video). Our stop limit order was filled exactly where we wanted it at 5722.0, and we were able to lock in profits at our first two targets of +3 ticks (2 contracts) and +6 ticks, before closing the trade out at a profit of +12 ticks ($222).

The euro currency market didn’t really pick a distinct trend until the opening of trading for currencies and many commodities at 8:20am EST, where it looked that the euro was going to make new highs for the day (Symbol 6E). This wasn’t the case for long though as more volume entered the market closer to the U.S equities open at 9:30am EST, the euro futures began to sell off sharply. After seeing the weakness to the long side we looked to take advantage of this short term trend to the short side, and looked for a possible entry. At 9:16am EST we finally were able to capitalize on the downtrend with a Breaker pattern short, entering the market at a basis of 1.4752 (Euro Currency Futures Day Trading Video). Once our trade was active, we watched as the Pace of Tape (P.O.T) indicator quickly showed us increasing green P.O.T bars, indicating that more and more sellers were entering the market, per the speed of the ticker tape; we were able to lock in profits at all three of our targets for +4 ticks (2 contracts) +8 ticks, and +6 ticks for a total of +22 ticks ($275).

The fourth trade of the day came on the Gold futures market (Symbol GC), which has once again seen new all time highs for the third day in a row! To profit from the obvious long trend we looked for a possible entry later in the morning (Gold Futures Day Trading Video). Patience seemed to handsomely pay off because at 10:08am EST we entered the Gold futures long due to a 2-Step pattern. Our order was executed at a basis of 1044.8 and we quickly found out the trend was definitely our friend in this case, as more buyers jumped into the market long, we were able to close our trade with profits of +3 ticks (2 contracts), +6 ticks and our final contact (our runner) got us an additional +14 ticks for a total of +26 ticks ($260).

For our fifth trade of the morning, we waited for the Natural Gas Storage numbers to be released, as history has shown us increased volatility in the crude markets when the natural gas storage figures are released. Because the School of Trade takes more of a conservative approach to our trading, when we wait for absolutely perfect set-ups instead of just mediocre set-ups, especially on days like today, they seem to pay off. One crucial aspect for all traders to also remember is, when you are up any amount of profit, it is essential to protect your trading account and those profits you’ve made, which is why we wait for perfect trading opportunities, instead of higher risk trades, because protect of capital is our main concern. Or fourth trade of the morning, which came on the Crude Oil futures (Symbol CL), was a perfect set-up in the form of a Breaker pattern, to the long side. We entered the market at 10:42am EST with a basis of 70.88 and were able to scalp some quick profits from the market for +4 ticks (2 contracts) for a total of +8 ticks ($80) (Scalping Futures Day Trading Video).

We noticed that when the Crude Oil open outcry pit trading began, the crude market began to sell off strongly from the mid $70/barrel range, and by the time the U.S equities market had begun trading, it had dropped more than a whole dollar to $69.20 at its bottom ( Crude Oil Futures Day Trading Video). The crude oil market then began to consolidate into the mid $69.00 price level until the Natural Gas Storage figure was released, which sent the crude oil market higher. When watching these market turns occur, we quickly looked to capitalize on this trend continuation trade to the long side with a breaker pattern. At 11:18am EST we were able to execute a Breaker pattern to the long side with a basis of 71.64. Once in the trade, we effortlessly took profit at +4 ticks (2 contracts) for a total of +8 ticks on our final trade of the day ($80).

Market Content October 7, 2009

Today was another great day of profits for the School of Trade! With a minimum account size of $4,000, we were able to generate a +20% return for our members today. Overall we took 6 trades total and went 5 for 6 with a total profit of +$880.00, trading with 4 Contracts. Let’s review those great trades….

Our first trade of the morning came on the Euro futures (Symbol 6E), which stayed in a tight range today of 1.4735 to 1.4650, but that didn’t stop us from taking a quality set-up (Euro Currency Futures Day Trading Video). An increase in volume entered the market with currency trading opening at 8:20am EST pushing the price of the Euro futures to the downside, and with that we looked to jump on the quick trend short. At 9:03am EST we entered the market with a short term trend continuation trade with the Breaker pattern at 1.4666. Once our order was executed, we watched as price quickly shot down, due to increasing selling pressure. We were able to take +4 ticks (2 contracts) from the market, for a total of +8 ticks ($100).

Our second trade of the morning came on the Gold futures (Symbol GC). After yesterday’s record breaking day in the gold market (trading at all time high’s intra-day) the trend upwards didn’t stop today, and has continued to trade as high as 1049.7 intraday. Once the open of the U.S equities trading occurred though, the Gold market quickly made a sharp trend reversal short off the 1045 price level, giving us a great opportunity for a short term trend change trade to the short side (Gold Futures Day Trading Video). With the new trend down, we were quickly able to enter the market at 9:46am EST with a basis of 1041.6; enabling us to scalp off a few ticks before our ATM strategy closed the trade for us. We closed with +4 ticks (2 contracts) for a total of +8 ticks on the trade ($80).

As soon as we closed our first Gold trade, we looked to enter in the opposite direction, with selling pressure seeming to hit a wall and buyers starting to step back into the market, we looked for yet another trend reversal trade. This time we looked for our trade in the overall daily trend to the long side. We entered the market long at 9:49am EST with a basis of 1040.7. Because of the way our ATM strategies are set-up, our 2-step pattern (trend reversal) is set to automatically take profit off at +3 ticks (2 contacts), which is exactly what we did, for a total of +6 ticks on the trade ($60) (Scalping Futures Day Trading Video).

Our fourth trade of the day came on the Crude Oil futures (Symbol CL). With the Crude Oil inventories figure being released today at 10:30am EST we were very selective when trading the Crude Oil market this morning, and waited till the inventories figure had been released before we entered that market (Identify Market Sentiment For Day Trading Futures). Today’s price action was really focused around the $71/barrel range until the news was released on its inventories and then price finally broke to the downside shortly before price took off once again to the long side, which is where we looked to capitalize on. At 10:51am EST we entered long with our trend continuation trade, the Breaker. With a basis of 70.56 we quickly realized that a strong level of buyers has entered the market as well, giving us the opportunity to take profits at +4 ticks (2 contracts), +8 ticks and then our final contact netting us an extra profit of +14 ticks for a total of +30 ticks on the trade ($300)!

After a slight pullback in the rally on the Crude Oil futures, we looked to enter in the direction of the trend once again, and we were glad we did! We once again entered in the direction of the short term trend, which in Crude Oil’s case was long, with a Breaker set-up ( Crude Oil Futures Day Trading Video). We entered the market at 11:01 with an entry price of 70.80, we quickly realized that the buyers were not finished, and we were yet again able to capitalize on this with all four of our contracts, take profits at +4 ticks (2 contracts), +8 ticks and on our final contract getting another +18 ticks, for a total of +34 ticks on the trade ($340)

Shortly after our previous trade we tried just once more to see if this great rally would continue, but we quickly found out that the buyers had exhausted all their orders, and sellers were about to retake control of price action. We entered the market at 11:05am EST with yet again a Breaker price pattern to the long side, but this time we realized as soon as we entered the trade that it was wrong (3 Key Components To A Day Trading System Video). With our stochastics beginning to curl away from us, we closed our trade at our entry price of 71.26, +/- 0 ticks.

Market Content October 2, 2009

Today all of our trades came off the Crude Oil market, ( Crude Oil Futures Day Trading Video )(Symbol CL), which after showing some great volume, allowed us to end our week with some great profits. We were able to take 4 trades today, and went 4 for 4, with a total profit of +$560.00 while trading with 4 Contracts.

The crude oil market didn’t show any real volume until the unemployment numbers were released for the U.S at 8:30am EST, which after being released; the crude oil began to short into the $69 price level as unemployment increased to 9.8%, from 9.7% previously (Identify Market Sentiment For Day Trading Futures). Our first trade of the morning came once the unemployment figures were released as well as the start of the open outcry pit trading at 9:00am EST. With the added volume in the market from the open outcry pits trading, the market began to hit a bottom near the 68.50 price level, which is when we began to look to enter the market long. We entered the market long at 9:13am EST with a Breaker pattern, our basis was at 68.65 and once our order had been executed, we watched as the market rallied even higher, giving us the opportunity to take profits at +4 ticks (2 contracts) and +8 ticks for a total of +16 ticks on the trade ($160).

Our second trade of the morning, once again on the Crude Oil, (Symbol CL) came about an hour after our first trade, because we wanted to see how the market reacted with the opening of the U.S equities. At 10:00am EST the market began to retrace off the rally it had made during the previous hour, and we looked to capitalize on this trend change to the short side (3 Key Components To A Day Trading System Video). At 10:19am EST we entered the crude oil market short at 69.57 because of a breaker pattern. The price action had to break a dynamic level of support and once that occurred, we executed the trade. With sellers joining the price action, we were able to scalp +4 ticks (2 contracts) from the market, for a total of +8 ticks ($80).

The third trade of the morning came shortly after our second, because we noticed, with increased speed of the tape, that price direction was about to make a change to the long side. At 10:22am EST we decided to join the buyers and entered long with a 2-step with a basis of 69.73. Once our trade had been executed, we kept a keen eye on the pace of the tape indicator as well as our stochastics, to make sure that we would be able to maximize our profits. Our NinjaTrader ATM (Automatic Trade Management) strategies quickly took over the trade for us and took profit at +4 ticks (2 contracts) and +8 ticks for a total of +16 ticks on the trade ($160) (Futures Day Trading Account Management Video)

Our fourth and final trade of the morning came towards the end of the morning session, as lunch was soon setting into the market; we were able to take a few more ticks from the crude oil market. Crude oil had been trending higher into the 10:0am EST hour and seemed to finally reach its peak around the $70 price level, at which time we looked to enter the market short, as our pace of the tape indicator began to show us the more sellers were entering the market. At 10:54am EST we entered the market short with a breaker pattern and got our order filled at 69.38 (Scalping Futures Day Trading Video). With the market trending further downwards, we were able to close our trade with some great profits of +4 ticks (2 contracts) and +8 ticks for a total of +16 ticks on our final trade of the day ($160)

Market Content September 18, 2009

Well another profitable week for the School of trade has come and gone! Today we noticed decent volume, especially for a Friday afternoon, and were able to take some great trades! Today’s trade totals equaled 2 for 2 with $440 in profit. Not a bad way to end our week at all!!

Our first trade set-up after the 10:00am EST hour and with the crude oil market staying within a dollar range of $72 – $73, we were very selective in picking our trades today, especially after having a solid week of profits. Before our first trade of the morning, we saw that the Crude Oil price action was making a rally towards its highs, and decided to take a trend following trade, with the new Breaker set-up to the long side. At 10:32am EST we entered the Crude Oil (Symbol CL) with a Breaker long after price had pulled back, giving us a great entry with a basis of 72.20. With the speed of the tape in our favor and momentum starting to curl in our favor, we were able to lock in profits at +4 ticks (2 contracts), +6 ticks and our final contract got us an additional +8 ticks for a total of +22 ticks on the trade ($10/tick).

Our second and final trade of the morning came shortly after our trade in the Crude market, but this time we were able to scalp a few ticks off the Mini-Russell instead (Symbol TF). Since the opening of the U.S equities market, it was clear that the sellers had taken control of the Mini-Russell, but entering the 10:00am EST hour, we noticed that it was beginning to retrace off its lows, so we then began to look for a possible trend reversal trade set-up. At 10:52am EST we finally were able to capitalize on a 2-step set-up to the long side on the Mini-Russell. Our entry price was at 612.0 and it wasn’t long before we had gotten our first two targets of +4 Ticks (2 contracts) and +6 ticks, our final contract, which we let run to gain as many ticks as possible on the trade, got us an extra +8 ticks on the trade, for a total of +22 ticks on the trade ($10/Tick).

Market Content September 16, 2009

Today’s market action brought with it yet again numerous set-ups for all of our traders here at the School of Trade. All of our trades surprisingly came on the Crude Oil today (Symbol CL), even with its inventories number being released at 10:30am EST. Today’s trade total’s equaled 2 for 3, $200 in profit!

Our first trade set-up came shortly after the opening of the Crude Oil open outcry pits at 9:00am EST. The market had been consolidating into a range around the $70-$72 price level, and it began to retrace of its current day highs, the opening of the pits began to send the market higher as buyers took control of the price. At 9:08am EST, after price had failed to fulfill a 2-step short qualification, we looked to enter with the short term trend of long with a Breaker set-up. Once momentum curled in our favor and the speed of the tape began to increase via our P.O.T indicator, we entered the Crude Oil (Symbol CL) long at 70.79. Once in the trade we began to watch our instruments closely, to better identify if the trade would continue its trend. With no dynamic levels of resistance in our way, we were able to take profits via our ATM strategy on NinjaTrader at +4 ticks (2 contracts), +8 ticks and then our final contract, which we trail to lock in more profits, gave us +12 ticks, for a total of +28 ticks on the trade! ($10/tick).

Our second trade came after the release of the Crude Oil Inventories number being released at 10:30am EST. The inventories increased to -4.7M from the week’s prior inventories of -5.9M. This new certainly disrupted the price of Crude Oil, and so we waited an extended length of time before taking our next trade, to ensure the added volatility was gone. After the market had calmed down, we looked for another possible set-up, the market began making a large rally into the 71.50 price level, so we knew a possible trade would be coming. At 10:55am EST, the Crude Oil market began its pullback after breaking the 71.50 level, but when it failed to create a James Wave pattern as well as a 2-step pattern, we then looked to take a Breaker to the long side. With all of our technical’s pointing in favor of our trade, we entered the market at a basis of 71.65; but due to our momentum shifting to the downside, we decided to exit the trade early to try and prevent losses, and ended closing the trade at a small loss of -2 ticks (4 contracts) totaling -8 ticks on the trade ($10/tick). As our screenshot shows though, our trade would have made us money, but all of our members at the school of trade know, we never guess what is going to happen in the market, there’s no predicting, just reacting to what actually happens!

Our third and final trade came towards the beginning of lunch for U.S traders, around 11:00am. The market had been trending down off its high’s and shorting into the 71.00 price level and lower. We began to notice though that the selling pressure was drying up, and the buyers had a chance to reclaim the market. At 11:24am EST we were finally given our opportunity to take the market long, when a pullback in price gave us a possible 2-step formation, we waited for price action to qualify the trade and then took it long with a basis of 70.90. Taking into consideration the market action at the time and especially the time of day we were trading at, we were very strict in keeping a tight leash on this trade. While in the trade, we noticed our momentum indicator was beginning to curl down ever so slightly, and with a decrease in the speed of tape, we decided it was best to take a scratch on this trade and get out at our entry price, instead of waiting and hoping the trade went in our favor. Nothing gained or lost on this trade, and the important lesson here was that, even though the trade did eventually go in our favor, we didn’t break our rules, and when our indicators told us to exit, we did.

Market Content September 14, 2009

Today we saw some increased volume in the market, but overall, we still haven’t seen the large push of buyers and sellers enter the market as they have in the past. With the 1 year anniversary of Lehman’s collapse and what seemed like a global financial slow down, it’s no real surprise to us at the School of Trade, that the market isn’t its normal self, and it may never be the same, but that doesn’t mean we can’t still trade the markets! Today’s trade totals: 3 for 3 +40 Ticks = $400 in Profits!

Our first trade of the day came on the Crude Oil market, (Symbol CL). The Crude Oil market wasn’t making too many dramatic swings in price, most likely due to the massive short slide that came last Friday, where the Crude Oil market dropped more than $3 off its highs, closing below $69. After the U.S equities open at 9:30am EST we finally saw some decent price action, and the markets began to wake up a little bit. At 9:54am EST we took the Crude Oil short, off our newest trade set-up, the Breaker Pattern. We entered the market short at a basis of 69.04, and looked for price to continue to the short side. With the stochastic’s beginning to curl over in our favor, we were able to quickly scalp some profits of +3 ticks (2 contracts) before closing the trade for a total of 6 ticks ($10/tick).

Our second trade of the morning came shortly after our first, and once again on the Crude Oil (Symbol CL). After price had retraced higher after our first trade, it continued its downtrend and began shorting into the $68.00 level. Price began to short into one of our levels of support and set-up in a perfect 2-step pattern to the long side. To capitalize on the quickly trend reversal, we entered the market long at 10:09am EST for a 2-step long, with a basis of 68.77. After seeing price action break our dynamic levels of resistance, the buyers finally took control of price, and we were able to use our ATM strategy via Ninja Trade to lock in profits at +3 ticks (2 contracts) and +6 ticks (1 contract) for a total of 12 ticks ($10/Tick)

Our third and final trade of the morning came once again on the Crude Oil (Symbol CL). Price had been consolidating around the $69.00 level and we were waiting patiently for a break either above or below that level. We quickly got our break-out around 10:40am EST and price began to trend higher into the mid $69 level. We noticed though that the buyers were quickly losing the momentum, and as many looked to take profit, the sellers began to enter the market again, which meant we would be looking to go short with a 2-step. At 10:50am EST we entered the market short with a basis of 69.20, due to speed of the tape increasing to the short side and momentum curling to the downside. With the sellers on our side, we quickly took profit at +3 ticks (2 contracts) +6 ticks (1 contract) and then let the remaining quarter of our trade run. With sellers controlling even more of the market, we watched as our final contract run for an extra +10 ticks (1 contract) giving us a total of 22 ticks on our final trade! ($10/tick).

Typical Profit/Loss: 0.5% per day

Trading Capital

Broker (STP/ECN vs. MarketMaker)

Target

Style (Risk Taker vs. Avoider, Hi/Lo Gain vs. Hi/Lo Risk)

Trading & Money Management Experience

Trading Time Frame

Currency pair

Dlsb.

Strategi Trading dibagi atas 4 Main Session:
Asia Session: – Scalping (short time range trading).
UK/EU Session: – Scalping and Daily Range Swing Trading. Posisi dapat berubah Long/Short setelah daily range tertentu tercapai.
UK/EU/US overlap Session: Daily Range Swing Trading.
US Session: – Daily Range Swing Trading.

RISK NOTICE:

Trading in futures, options and forex is speculative in nature and not appropriate for all investors.

Investors should only use risk capital when trading futures, options and forex because there is always the risk of substantial loss.

Account access, trade executions and system response may be adversely affected by market conditions, quote delays, system performance and other factors.

Past performance is not necessarily a guide to future performance.

Market Content August 21, 2009

Well another summer Friday has passed us by, and we are happy to see it go! Volume still isn’t at the level we would like to see it at in the market, but that doesn’t mean we can’t trade. In a low volume environment like we have in the month of August it is crucial to practice patience and discipline, which is at the core of the School of Trade’s education. Here are the trades we took today…..

We started our morning off with a nice trade on the Crude Oil market (Symbol CL). We noticed some increasing volume using our new Pace of the Tape indicator around 8:45am EST and started watching the Crude Oil more closely going into the open of the open outcry pits at 9:00am EST. With the open of the crude market, we notice it quickly sold off early, but then started to reverse, and we then knew to look for our 2-step trend reversal trade. At 9:04am EST we entered the Crude Oil long at a basis of 73.97, we entered at this price because we had to make sure price action would trade through one of our dynamic price levels at 73.94. Once we saw this occur we entered long and quickly got our first target of+3 ticks (2contracts) before getting scratched out of the remaining 2 contacts of our trade for a total of 6 ticks ($10/tick).

Our next trade of the morning came on the Crude Oil once again (Symbol CL). We had to wait for the opening of the U.S equities market as well as the U.S July Existing Home Sales number to be released before taking any trades. Once all of the news had been released, we looked to take some more trades. We ended up seeing strong volume starting to reverse the Crude Oil, and looked to enter the market long with a 2-step. At 10:14am EST we entered long with a basis of 74.40 after price action had broken a dynamic level of resistance at 74.37. Our new Pace of the Tape (POT) indicator was our saving grace on this trade, we actually closed out of this trade early because the POT went from green to yellow, indicating that there was a slow down in price action to the long side, so instead of taking a full 6 tick stop, we closed our trade with a -4 tick loss (4 contracts), totaling -16 ticks on the trade ($10/tick).

Shortly after our loss in the Crude Oil market, we notice a strong increase in green POT bars on the Euro futures (Symbol 6E), identifying for us an increase in volume and possible trade setting up. The Euro had been trending to the short side since the open of the U.S markets, and so we looked to take a reversal in the form of a 2-step. At 10:29am EST we entered the Euro futures long with a basis of 1.4316, we quickly noticed an increase in the speed of the tape, which filled our first target of +3 ticks (2 contracts) before the market quickly reversed back to our entry level and scratched us out of the remaining trade, for a total of 6 ticks ($10/tick).

The final trade of the day came once again on the Crude Oil (Symbol CL). The Crude Oil market had been making some significant price swings throughout the day, from the 72.00 level upwards to 75.00 and back again, during its swing to the short side, we notice volume was slowing down and buyers looked to be taking it back to the long side. So, at 10:37am EST we entered long in the form of a 2-step pattern, with a basis of 74.12. Once in the trade we continued to read the price action across the tape to see if there was any real follow through to the upside, we quickly got our first target of +3 ticks (2 contracts) and then after noticing price action slowdown via our POT indicator, we took profit manually at another +3 ticks before getting scratched out for a total of +9 ticks on the trade ($10/tick).

Today’s Trade Total’s 3 for 4 $65.00 in profit

Market Content August 11, 2009

Well, we might have thought yesterday’s price action was the slowest of the summer, but I suppose I was wrong, TODAY was! Today was a great testament to the School of Trade’s discipline to sit on the sidelines and wait for the perfect set-up to come; and wait we did….

The one and only trade we took today set-up on the Crude Oil market (Symbol CL). The European session brought little volume to the market and so we waited for the US equities market to open, hoping to see some much needed volume. Once the US market was open, volume slowly began to trickle in, and it wasn’t until 11:05am EST till we took our first and only trade of the day. Initially we looked to take a 2-step short in the Crude market, but price action moved so quickly we could not get a quality fill. So, we now looked for a James Wave short to set-up. After seeing a strong move in price action to the down side our James Wave set-up perfectly; pulling back quickly to our trigger line, so we could short it. We entered the market at a basis of 69.30 and were able to quickly get our first targets of +4 ticks (2 contracts) +8 ticks and then our final contract ran for another +4 ticks for a total of 20 ticks ($10/tick).

Today’s Trade totals: 1 for 1 $200

Today’s totals: 2 for 4 $20 in profit

Away We Go – Directed by Sam Mendes, Written by Dave Eggers and Vendela Vida
About a couple expecting a child that travels around the country looking for a place to start their family. I’m still reeling from Mendes’s snubbing at the Oscars last year, and this comes out too soon for a shot in 2010, but he’s a great director, and Eggers is one of my favorite authors. The cast looks great, the tone seems heartfelt, and the music already sounds great. I can’t wait for it.
John Krasinski, Maya Rudolph, Catherine O’Hara, Jeff Daniels, Allison Janney, Jim Gaffigan, Maggie Gyllenhaal

Downloading Nancy – Directed by Johan Renck, Written by Pamela Cuming and Lee Ross
Maria Bello plays a depressed, self-destructive housewife who meets a man in a chat room, and asks him to kill her. Then they fall in love. Then her husband beats the hell out of him. The uncensored preview looks raw and emotional, but it has the potential to be lame. First feature film for both writer and director.

Tetro – Written and Directed by Francis Ford Coppola
Apparently, this is Coppola’s first original screenplay since 1974’s The Conversation. It involves an Argentinean-Italian family dealing with the past, and brothers dealing with their creative passions. Vincent Gallo isn’t the most reputable actor. Actually, if you’ve never heard of Buffalo 66, then you’ve only seen him for a quick second in Goodfellas. Coppola is a huge name, with a long career. However, this film opened to very negative reviews at Cannes. Haven’t decided yet.
Vincent Gallo

The Last International Playboy – Directed by Steve Clark, Written by Steve Clark and Thomas Moffett
If you actually recognize Jason Behr, you’re one of six people who ever watched the show Roswell. This time he plays Jack Frost (…subtle), a heartbreaker and womanizer dealing with his mother’s suicide. He learns that the only woman he’s ever really loved is getting married, and his life starts to spiral out of control. He turns to his friends for advice, the most meaningful of which comes from his 11-year-old neighbor. Could be a bullshit chick flick, could be a respectable indie drama.

Moon – Directed by Duncan Jones, Written by Duncan Jones and Nathan Parker
Great Sci-Fi films are few and far between. Sunshine was amazing, but most of them suck. Moon looks like a cross between Solaris (the original) and 2001: A Space Odyssey. Sam Rockwell plays an astronaut on the moon doing energy research alone with his talking computer (Kevin Spacey). Then he starts seeing and hearing weird stuff, and thinks he’s losing his mind. Could be like Solaris (the remake) or Mission to Mars, but it could also rival Sunshine. I’m excited.
Sam Rockwell, Kevin Spacey
Remake of a 1974 heist movie starring Walter Matthau and Robert Shaw, the new one stars Denzel Washington and John Travolta. Same basic story, a subway car is hijacked, and a civil servant must negotiate the demands. The original was pretty damn good, but Travolta’s character looks like a Wild Hogs/Swordfish hybrid. Tony Scott’s had some low points the last few years (Domino, Spy Game), but his last two teamings with Denzel were Deja Vu and Man on Fire, which were badass.
I know when you see stop motion animation with accents, you automatically think Wallace and Gromit (…or not), but after an overdose of Oscar animated shorts and Bill Plympton, I’m willing to give this one a shot. About a bunch of people living in an apartment complex in Australia searching for the meaning of life. Don’t judge me.
Yes, we all know that Michael Bay is pretty much a joke. But the Transformers kick ass, Megan Fox is really hot, and the first one was really cool. The second one brings back all our favorite Decepticons and Autobots, (even Jazz, the only one to die in the first one…you know, the only one who sounded black?). Hey, it’s summer, time for effects and explosions. It’s Michael Bay season.

The Hurt Locker – Directed by Kathryn Bigelow, Written by Mark Boal
Every time I see Jeremy Renner, I think of S.W.A.T., which isn’t a good thing. However, The Hurt Locker is much more serious. It is about an army bomb squad in Iraq, and the crazy shit they have to deal with every day. This has the potential to be another The Kingdom, meaning it will be really cool, but completely overlooked by the majority of moviegoers. Bigelow directed Point Break, Blue Steel, and K-19: The Widowmaker, so she’s kinda one of the guys. Boal wrote the screenplay for In the Valley of Elah. I just hope it’s not as disappointing as Stop-Loss, but it’s MTV free, so I’m optimistic.
Jeremy Renner, Anthony Mackie, Brian Geraghty, Guy Pearce, Ralph Fiennes, David Morse, Evangeline Lilly

Life is Hot in Cracktown – Written and Directed by Buddy Giovinazzo
Brandon Routh is a crackhead? Shannyn Sossamon and Lara Flynn Boyle are hoe-bags? Are we sure this isn’t a documentary? Giovinazzo also wrote this novel about several different people living in drug-infested urban areas. Feels like a much grittier version of Crash, but could just be another urban flop. Kerry Washington is hot.

Quiet Chaos – Directed by Antonio Luigi Grimaldi, Written by Nanni Moretti and Sandro Veronesi
Italian film about a man who saves two women from drowning, then returns home to find his wife has died. Lost in his bewildered emotional state, he sits outside his daughter’s school all day every day, interacting with the people in the area. Grimaldi hasn’t done much outside of Italian TV, but Moretti is apparently a big deal as an actor, writer, and director in Italy.
James Caviezel (Passion of the Christ) stars as a man driving through 1986 Iran when his car breaks down. He begins talking with Shohreh Aghdashloo (House of Sand and Fog), who tells him a story about her niece, who was executed on erroneous charges by the community. The story may be small, but the scope strikes me as amazingly broad. Themes of mob mentality, justice, women’s rights, and cultural pressures. Nowrasteh is new to the game, but Aghdashloo’s an Oscar nominee who’s been in everything. Looking forward to it.
James Caviezel, Shohreh Aghdashloo, Mozhan Marno
Serial Killer flick meets Rashomon in Lynch’s second film, about three eyewitnesses being interviewed by the FBI concerning a series of shootings they all saw, but each account is different. Jennifer appears to be daddy’s little girl already, and David Lynch is executive producing, so be prepared for a serious mind-fuck. I have goose bumps.

KEEP YOUR EYES OPEN

Every month I do my research on upcoming projects, and every month the list seems to get longer. With each Coming Soon, however, I must leave out interesting films because either I can’t find a release date, or it’s already out, or the dates are conflicting on different sites. Well from now on, I’m just going to tell you about all these cool movies anyways. Some of them won’t be released in the US until possibly next year, if they ever come to a theater near you at all. Some of them may already be on DVD. Just keep your eyes open.

I Come with the Rain – Written and Directed by Tran Anh Hung
Josh Hartnett gets a bum wrap, but he’s been in some cool movies (Lucky # Slevin, 30 Days of Night, Black Hawk Down). In this one, he’s the token white guy. He plays a cop-turned-P.I. who left the force after killing a serial killer he was fixated with. He travels to Tokyo to find the son of a billionaire, and the lines between reality and fantasy, and good and evil are blurred. Vietnamese writer/director Tran hasn’t done much, and the 5-minute-long promo trailer kind of gives up the whole movie, but it has a lot of potential.
Josh Hartnett, Elias Koteas, Byung-hun Lee

The Countess – Written and Directed by Julie Delpy
Julie Delpy (actress in The Air I Breathe, Before Sunrise, 2 Days in Paris) tackles her second project as a director with the story of Hungarian Countess Bathory, who thought the key to maintaining her beauty was to bathe in the blood of a young virgin every night (more proof that virginity is harmful to your health). Doesn’t have a US release date yet, but it’s already been to a couple European festivals, so look for it on DVD soon.
Julie Delpy, William Hurt, Daniel Bruhl, Anamaria Marinca

Fireflies in the Garden – Written and Directed by Dennis Lee
Based on a Robert Frost poem, this is the story of a family dealing with emotional turmoil and internal conflict in the aftermath of a sudden tragedy. The cast alone is worth checking this movie out (when is the last time Julia Roberts and Willem Dafoe were in the same movie?) This has been released in every other freaking country, so I may be really late. Check imdb, or your local Blockbuster.
Ryan Reynolds, Willem Dafoe, Emily Watson, Carrie-Anne Moss, Julia Roberts, Ioan Gruffudd, Hayden Panettiere
May 29 (UK), possible June 26 release in US.

The Private Lives of Pippa Lee – Written and Directed by Rebecca Miller
Robin Wright Penn plays a loving wife and mother who, at age 50, starts to unravel when her much older husband (Alan Arkin) wants to move to a retirement community. She must look into and deal with the wild behavior and harsh realities of her past, and still hold on to her present. Miller wrote Proof, and directed The Ballad of Jack and Rose, and this looks like a slight departure for Arkin as an actor. It could be another The Life Before Her Eyes, or it could be really freaking good. Also, I’m in love with Monica Bellucci. There, I said it.
Robin Wright Penn, Alan Arkin, Keanu Reeves, Julianne Moore, Winona Ryder, Maria Bello, Monica Bellucci, Blake Lively
