So today, or rather, yesterday, my friends and I wandered into Crossroads Trading Company to try to rid our blues. I bought three dresses, a beautiful print knit bolero, and a bright blue peacoat. (I’m satisfactorily happier now.) On the way out, I spotted Red Marc Jacobs Wedges and a stunning pair of Gray Stella McCartney Boots. (Thank the lawd they weren’t my size, or i’d probably be out $250 by now.) But they were pretty reasonably priced at $100 (MJ) and $150 (SM). So if ever you are in the vicinity of a Crossroads, go check it out in all its glory.

Speaking of two of my favorite designers in the history of HUMANKIND, below are some of my favorite looks from their Spring 2010 runway shows. Stella McCartney’s collection was magnificent and by gods, I swear I will be there one day! Marc Jacobs’ collections (both Marc by March Jacobs and Marc Jacobs) were BOTH marvelous, although I tend to shy away from the more (dare I say it?) young-y looks of Marc by Marc Jacobs. Still beautiful to behold, however. Onward maties!

Ahh, not only am I thankful for wonderful thrift stores, I’m thankful for the likes of you, Stella McCartney and Marc Jacobs. (Really! Your designs make me so excited I probably would pee my pants if I saw them in person!) Your dominance in the fashion world is only evidence of your brilliant minds and ongoing greatness. I cut my Turkey in honor of you! (OK maybe not true, I don’t eat Turkey. Or meat for that matter… hm I should get that checked out. ) Have a great Thanksgiving, peoples! Scotland’s very own Proper Games, developer of the brilliant Xbox Live Arcade title Flock! has today revealed that it is working on a revamped version of Capcom’s scrolling beat-em-up Final Fight for 2010.

The game will be available as a digital download via Xbox Live Arcade and Playstation Store under the name Final Fight: Double Impact, which includes a glorious HD version of the original arcade smash, along with a second game, Capcom’s fantasy side-scroller Magic Sword.

So far no price has been revealed, but if you haven’t had a chance to play Final Fight before, I strongly recommend that you do when this tasty twin-pack lands next year.

It’s such an obvious idea it’s amazing it didn’t happen sooner. Wired reports that Apple (s aapl) has teamed up with promoter Live Nation to bring Live music to its iTunes Store.

The reason for the delay is the tremendous difficulty getting all the required signatures on all the dotted lines. For each live performance to be made available to consumers, the performers, their management companies, record labels, venue management, promoters and countless others must have forged some sort of agreement deemed of value to them all. That’s far from easy, but it helps if you happen to own the venues; Wired’s Eliot Van Buskirk says that Apple and Live Nation are the owners of the more than 80 venues featured in the collection of live shows.

While Apple has made live performances available in the iTunes Store in the past, they was never marshaled together into one single place and made so easily searchable. As you’d expect, it’s possible to search the Live music by genre and artist, but it’s also possible to search by venue. Flagship Apple Stores are often the venues for intimate live shows and they’re now just a click away; Montreal, Sydney, London and New York’s SOHO stores are just a few of the locations in the list. (The mind boggles at the legal wrangling that must have taken place to clear the worldwide rights for those performances…)

A section is also reserved for highlighting iPhone apps that also deliver, or are connected with, Live music.

The content isn’t just reserved for music, either. Videos of Live performances are also available, and as you probably guessed already, do cost a bit more than music alone. Concert videos start at $8 and go as high as $13 while straight audio shows are usually in the $8 range.

I’d have thought this universally good news for music fans, though John Paczkowski, in his Digital Daily column for The Wall Street Journal, writes (somewhat sarcastically);

This year, Live Nation, the world’s largest concert promoter, will put on some 22,000 live shows – each one attended by carping about the asinine “convenience” and “courtesy” charges the company likes to tack on to ticket purchases. Funny, isn’t it, how quickly a $28 show can become a $50 one?

So, in light of the news of Live Nation’s content partnership with Apple, and with tongue firmly in cheek, Paczkowski asks, “Does this mean we can expect a Live Nation ‘iTunes Convenience Fee’?”

I haven’t had a lot of luck with “Live” recordings of my favorite artists. The occasional missed note, a bit of microphone feedback or occasional volume dropouts are to be expected in a live setting and if I’m standing shoulder-to-shoulder with other fans, y’know, there in person, I’ll forgive every imperfection.

Having those imperfections reproduced on my iPod or desktop speakers, though…it just doesn’t seem right. I barely listen to the few live albums I own. I can’t imagine wanting to spend real money on any more.

What do you think? Am I in a minority? Should I just shut up and go back to my gramophone? Is iTunes Live Music gonna be claiming your hard-earned green?

Last week I was able to get most of the holiday decorating done in the store. I ended up having to re-doing a fair chunk of the whole place,

but I’m happy with how festive it’s looking. We’ve got a nice range of vintage and new decorations and I wanted to get them out as well as shifting a bit more towards having good gift options out rather than things people tend to buy for themselves.  I also put together a nice assortment of angels. (I was a little surprised at how many different ones we have, clearly they sneakily congregate) The size of the store is something that I’m always having to keep in mind. I would have liked to put up a full-sized tree but we just don’t have room. I have a cute little table-top sized one and that will have to do for showing off some of the ornaments. (it’s so completely covered you hardly see green at all!) I have the rest on a number of pretty trays. The rest of the week I’ll be working on wreaths and some exterior decorating.

Es decir, podría permitir al ciberdelincuente tener acceso remoto al teléfono y controlarlo sin necesitar el permiso del usuario.

Se trata de un virus que ha atacado sobre todo a usuarios del teléfono de Apple en los Paises Bajos, sobre todo aquellos que utilizaban el servicio de banca electrónica de ING Direct.

Cierto es que podría encontrarse en otras aplicaciones, pero también que sólo afecta a los usuarios que han pirateado su teléfono para hacerlo funcionar con otras operadoras móviles o para utilizar en él software no aprobado por Apple.

Ante esto, la compañía de la manzana recuerda que la modificación del teléfono también supone la pérdida del derecho a la garantía.
