Been neglecting some nendo/figma fun thanks to ‘Armor Crafting’ .. so here we go!! When my hands are not so glue-ish and messy!!

When Armor Crafting, welding cement is poisonous to eyes, skin and when inhaling! But it is necessary if you want to weld ABS together!

Velcro and Super Glue are also ur best friends!

Counter-Terrorists Win!

The topic is getting old, but progress is progress! And it must be reported!! Here are some handy things to have when making Stormtrooper armor.

The Super Glue used to glue velcro on. This is pretty strong stuff, but expensive in small amounts >_<

Used to glue/melt together the ABS pieces. Using this to install my planned ’snap’ system (involves eyelids/clip-ons, etc) onto my armor.

Remember to have plenty of clips, to hold the pieces when the glue/cement weld is drying for 24 hours.

The armor bells are the first to be used welding cement on. First welded a blank piece of ABS, then going to glue another piece that has eyelids on them.

These are the ’snap system’. Drilled holes onto these cut ABS pieces, and they will be glued onto the other blank ABS i have all around the armor. Will show how the ’snaps’ work when i progress in later days!

Handy tools to have. Leather belt hole puncher (used later on webbing with eyelids for the ’snap system’) .. and a eyelid puncher. Better than using a hammer and a nail tool thingie!!

Adidas hat Star Wars entdeckt. Es hat zwar ein bisschen gedauert, aber jetzt bringt der Hersteller eine ganze Reihe Schuhe und Klamotten für Fans des Franchise.

Ob den weissen Imperial-Stormtrooper-Sneakers oder den schwarzen Darth-Vader-Sneakers. Und damit ist noch nicht genug. Auch Kapuzenshirts, T-Shirts sind im Start Wars Look erhältlich.

Nothing much to say about it .. its Danny Choo trying to imitate the Singaporean accent/slang! With a few mei-dos! =3 After AFA09, i was amazed to find out, not only was it a big event for otaku, but a massive culture shock for those who didnt know what the AFA was all about. Well, first time for everything! Apparently the newbies were shocked to see so many otakus in Singapore, and brain-freezed when they saw the maid cafe! Coz they didnt know how to react to it! ROFL. Looks like otaku culture is not globally known yet in some areas of the world. Either that, or these ‘normals’ have not been surfing the internet right! Haha!

The staff that  helped pull off AFA09 did a great job, even when they were shocked by Otaku Culture. Even when saying “I am trying to keep an open mind..” .. their minds mostly froze about how a big deal anime conventions can be! Its like that quote “Humans tend to fear what they do not understand!” .. enough bickering about the mortals .. they can take their own time to accept otakuism and evolve or something. Woke up and started working on the armor from 1300hrs to 2100hrs. It was raining, and every otaku i know in Singapore is at the AFA09. *Cry* .. was wearing the jumpsuit for the whole day and it kept me real warm during the drizzle and the tasmanian cold! Was cutting and trimming minor pieces and ended the night with super glue-ing some velcro onto the specific pieces .. spent the whole day trimming my leg armors so i can walk comfortably and moonwalk too ^w^

Cut/sanded/trimmed the following pieces. These pieces go onto the stomach armor and my knuckles and shoulders. Clipped the velcro coz i have to wait for 24hrs for the superglue to dry.

An exhausted trooper after nearly 9hrs of armor crafting .. i am wishing to obtain a certain nendo to be restocked before Xmas .. Zzzzz~~!!

Alright Star Wars nerds I’ve got a treat for you.  Adidas is coming out with brand new Storm Troomtrooper sneakers for 2011!

Now you can run after the women who normally run away from you with these slick sneaks… oh and trust me, once they see all your Star Wars garb they will run.

Adidas will also be coming out with Darth Vader sneakers as it seems Adidas is trying to take a chunk out of Marc Echo’s hold on Star Wars Clothing.

After spending two days painting, sanding, screwing, drilling .. its finally done! My Stormtrooper helmet … yay!! Only a matter of time now, till i get the body parts all ready =3 Decided to take some figma/nendo shots too .. since it ain’t so messy for me today!

Presenting the already finished .. Stormtrooper helmet! Took a total of two days for assembly with paint, drilling, sanding .. *Painting the thing was horribly annoying with my shaky hands >_<

Interesante y divertido proyecto proyecto fotográfico realizado por Stéfan Le Dû. Que consiste en una serie de imágenes protagonizadas por dos stormtroopers del imperio galáctico, concretamente TK455 y TK479. El proyecto consiste concretamente en 365 fotografías inspiradas en el universo star wars, con estos dos soldados de asalto como protagonistas en situaciones de nuestra realidad cotidiana y con un toque humorístico muy destacable.

El proyecto comenzó el pasado 3 de abril. A fotografía por día acabará el próximo 3 de abril de 2010. Además, debido a la gran popularidad que ha tenido, ha hecho una serie de calendarios de 2010 con las imágenes más populares.

Last night I went to the mall and found these pretty cool Star Wars hoodies by Marc Ecko. They have three different styles with Boba Fett, Darth Vader and a Stormtrooper. The hood part zips all the way up enclosing the face and forms a mask. I was totally blown away by the design and idea. Anyways some how I got distracted and failed to take a pic of it to post up. So this morning as I walked into work I see a stormtrooper in the office. Yeah, one of my co-workers bought one and pretty much saved me from my failure of snapping a pic last night. The hoodies look awesome and the quality was impressive. The only downside is that it cost $95 bucks, so make sure that the force wont give you buyers remorse.

Ever wondered what Darth Vader’s imperial minions did with their banked holiday time and sick days? Wonder no more my friends; all has been revealed in this hilarious new photo collection by Flickr photographer Stéfan. Showing the space-age fish in a barrel walking in the park, fishing in the toilet and even indulging in a bit of Guitar Hero, it seems that these guys have maybe too much free time on their hands. Maybe that’s why the rebel forces won the battle?

For the past two days, have not really been blogging, because having classes to finish (nearly ending the semester) and armor crafting and anime watching is way too packed to do anything! I even neglected my kawaii daughters =< So here is the update of my armor status.

ARMOR UPDATE: These are the finalized pieces. Just waiting for me to design a snap on system, to make it wearable =3

Cut and trimmed the armor to fit me physically and the helmet only needs sanding on the ear pieces then i can start assembling the helmet!

So many people laugh when a patriot says that FEMA has been storing up coffins and building death camps for us. Well, I have actually seen the death camps and I have seen the coffins so even though it is hard to believe, I would suggest that you at least look into this FEMA stuff a little more. If you go to Google Earth and type in “FEMA Camps” you will see all of the locations where they have these nasty places and it will give you a good idea as to which one your sorry ass will be dragged to when they come for you in the middle of the night.

How do you keep yourself from becoming a migrant slave farmer for the NWO? Well, first you arm yourself with information and then you arm yourself with weapons and bullets! This is the only way to save your sorry ass from the FEMA death soldiers and New World Order scary people. If you don’t have a gun yet, I would suggest going to the gun store now and buying four or five of them. Don’t forget the bullets otherwise your gun will be useless.

Another good thing to do is to get rid of your television set. All of the news agencies report directly to the corrupt government and they are puppet slaves and they are told what to say to make us all feel warm and fuzzy inside.

So get at it, get busy and prepare for the end of the universe!

Having seen various projects between Medicom Toy and Star Wars over the years, this new version comes as no surprise. Offered as a limited edition set, we see Bearbrick renditions of two iconic Star Wars and pop culture characters, including a Stormtrooper and Darth Vader. The set can now be found through select Medicom Toy retailers which includes Gettry.

Bad Robot(s)! (Vintage Zuckuss, Vintage Stormtroopers, Vintage IG-88)

The vintage Zuckuss action figure is just mired in intrigue. It appears that operatives at the Kenner factory botched their intel and named the 4-LOM action figure ‘Zuckuss’ (while naturally naming the Zuckuss action figure ‘4-LOM’). Would the ill-tempered Lord Vader be pissed if he’d caught wind of this mess? You bet your ass. Did anyone in Cincinnati lose their job over it? Well I doubt it.

No figmas or nendoroid poses this time, because i was waaaay too tired to pose them. Would have had some time, if it didnt randomly rain at 1400hrs!! TwT .. really wasted some of my precious crafting hours. Today’s Sunday and classes start again tomorrow, not to mention, my toe is healed with the blood clot gone and all. Woot!! But back to doing the challenge lab at class, and that would take me a while >_<

Finally, all the important huge pieces are done cutting and sanding! The only things that need to be done are the following:

• Helmet
• Smaller parts to be glued onto armor
• Velcro the armor to make it attachable to me
• Designing a strap system based on other 501st Legion Troopers.

But before all that, i have to trim a certain areas in the arms and legs to match me, so i can be more mobile and bendable for poses!! Before i continue making my armor, i will be waiting for more of my veteran troopers to give me some pointers on the TAG forums. Until then, its just minor sanding and cutting to adjust the legs and arms to my size.
