Mark Jenkins is an American artist known for his outdoor street installations which he creates using packing tape, some of which may cause a bit of controversy, but I think his work is pretty amazing! He has also shown in indoor galleries in America, Europe, Japan and Brazil and has his website www.xmarkjenkinsx.com and another one www.tapesculpture.org which teaches people his tape casting process, visit his site and watch the video ‘How babies are made’, its pretty cool!

Mark Jenkins, from Virginia, is known mainly for his installations involving packing tape; which he performs across the US as well as Europe, Japan and Brazil. On the current form of art, specifically that in the street, in contrast to more conventional forms, he states : “As for the old bronzes, I really don’t see them as part of what’s going on in the dialogue unless addressed by a new intervention.”

Nope, look again, it’s a street installation by artist Mark Jenkins. Humorous, clever, thought-provoking, brilliant, all adjectives to describe Jenkins’ work that’s popping up and confusing passers-by around the globe.
