I am completely and totally obsessed with this outfit.  From the platform mary janes to the lace-patterened tights to the menswear-inspired shirtdress to the black & white polka dot hair bow!  Everything!!  I even love that umbrella.  I printed this photo and it’s now proudly hanging on my wall.  It’s the quintessential mixture of Blair Waldorf and Parisian street chic.  In the wise words of Rachel Zoe, I DIE!

Saturday is always the day. Checked out Bob Wundaye’s new brunch happening. (Sat and Sun from 11am-6pm) Had the English breakfast for $330, which would satisfy the hungriest of boys. I obvi couldn’t finish it. The bacon was my favorite. Or maybe the beans. Or maybe fact we were alone in there and that right there is a treat in Taipei! (for all you Diner fans, youknowwhati’mtalkingabout!)

Saturday, November 28th

Saturday night was time to go out. First was a send-off dinner at the 100 kuai place on LeLi for Max and Jer (have a delicious holiday you two hotties!!), followed by Barcode for some SPYKEE, then house party at mine.

Seriously – what did I tell you people MONTHS ago about bananas + alcohol?? They save your stomach! This was on the way from sev to my house.(The whole twenty meters it is.) Notice there is another 7-11 directly across the street. Taipei, that’s how we do! You got something good? Got a lotta business? Making money? WELL, if it’s good for the goose, it’s good for the gander. Expect a similiar business right beside you. Then neighbours get to see which one is better, or which one they wanna stay loyal to. Like the billions of breakfast shops. You try them all out, but when you find a good one, you stay loyal. (At least I do!)

I wish I could send you to the guy who makes the ring, but I only have his phone number. Go find him at a market or HuaShan. Hand-made! Some girls ran into me on the street to take my pic and I noticed they had rings from thesame dude! Mine is the black tiger, customized to my ring size.

Here’s a close up of the rabbit (look like the Alice in Wonderland rabbit) Jer and Max have one of these too.

Also, Alita came back. YAY! (but only for a few days.) She brought me a present. (YAY again) The crazy huge earrings I’m wearing. Marcus was with us for the celebration and we bombed the neighbourhood with stickers.

It’s the first day of Summer, yay. I wanted to post pictures of sand and water and magical Summer things but here where I live, the weather is playing tricks and so I have allowed myself to post street style which is a little bit summery and a little bit Fall. Click to enlarge if you so wish.

The degrees are dropping, so layering is a must unless you have had a pleasant frostbite experience. And what better way to layer than with black and white stripes. No one likes frumpy layering that can ad the illusion o extra elbees (lbs), so keep the stripes thin (not chunky) and  light, like these long sleeved Ts, and ta-da, your look is instantly updated.

Color is optional but certainly a plus.

Sábado foi bapho! Babalu 90’s estava super, o povo todo foi montado no xadrez, jeans, tachas (Altero), camiseta de banda, a diversão foi garantida.

O repertório dos DJ’s está de parabéns, melhor seleção 90’s ever, todos se jogaram na Deee-Lite, Freedom 90′ , Spice Girls, Underworld e por aí foi. Apesar da nostalgia rolou a modernidade de Lady Gaga,  e não esquecendo da  Hannah Montana (sim, ela!) com Party in the USA bombou!

Agora vai uma dica, se você mora em CWB e baba por tachas mas ainda não adquiriu o look tachado, cola na  Altero (Al. Dr. Muricy, 321), que lá são vendidos vários modelos de tachas e acessórios de metal para você super customizar suas roupas. Uns 80% do pessoal que frequenta a Babalu se jogou lá e todos arrazaram!

A marca puma voltou forte nos anos 90, catapultada pelos modernos que procuravam icones dos  70 para compor seu visual.  Como sempre acontece, depois disso, saiu do underground e começou a ser adorada pelos mauricinhos que estavam descobrindo a música eletrônica, até que modelos falsificados surgiram nos camelôs.

De lá pra cá a Puma andava meio fora do mundo fashion, mas com o revival dos 90 que começa a pairar no ar, eu aposto todas minhas fichas no novo retorno da Puma durante a próxima década.

Basta procurar os novos lançamentos na internet para entender o que estou dizendo.

Sonia’s stellar styling for this upscale look (for half the price) gets a thumbs-up:  Faux fur from H&M, American Apparel two-tone leggings and top from SportMax.

…and so does everyone else it seems. Studs and anything remotely hardcore is all the rage these days. The spiky epaulets seen on Rihanna’s shoulders are the perfect “now” accessory.

So this place is close to my house, Moshi Moshi. Some little Taiwanese bar with more expensive than expected cocktails. Do not order the Bloody Mary, whatever you do!

Got this jacket from Andy a while ago, Jo was selling it at her shop, Pet Shops Girl. Which, if you haven’t seen yet, you must. Go to her blog, or visit her store if you’re in Taipei. (Down the same lane as the Chaos Punk bar, behing Luxy.) She has the craziest shit!

Andy hand-painted the jacket with paint pens. One sleeve says Lover, the other, Fighter. I dig it. Check out his amazing graf steez here.

I like to think of him as the Talieb Kweli of graffiti. Underground, commercial. Street style, canvas. Slaughtering the best of both worlds.

Digo e repito, godê é o shape-deixa-todo-mundo-magra-e-linda do século.

Mas 2 cintos… fica uma graça, né?
Eu gosto demais da combinação de dois cintos (que vale também de larguras diferentes) porque muda completamente a proposta do look e dá outra cara pro nosso visual.
A ideia aqui foi valorizar a cintura, que é uma parte do corpo legal em mim.
Já até mostrei antes aqui esta combinação que eu adoro.
