Jetzt gibts mal eine etwas andere Sicht. Auf dem Boden bin ich immer noch aber für einmal nicht in der U-Bahn oder unter Menschen-Massen… sondern auf einer Pfütze.

Die Schärfe habe ich bewusst ganz “vorne”/unten im Bild. Die Steine und die Krümel darauf sind nicht sonderlich speziell. Auf dem eigentlichen Hauptmotiv; der Stadt; was auch das spannende im Bild wäre, wollte ich eine Unschärfe drin, sodass ich eine Spiegelung habe bei welcher das Motiv verschwommen ist. Ein Foto nicht wie die anderen, trotz der bekannten Perspektive von mir.

Das Foto wurde in Mulhouse (F) gemacht – an einem Samstag.

I had to do something similar to this recently – albeit on a much smaller scale.

I moved into the new flat and once I’d set up the laptop, the additional screen, the internet cable and the speakers, there were cables everywhere. I bunched them all up together and secured them with a twist of wire.

In Hanoi, the telecommunications explosion also means there are wires everywhere. There has been talk of digging up the city and putting them underground but in the meantime – there’s a quick fix.

Place your ladder directly onto wires. Climb up without a safety harness. Loop a rope over the many wires and get your mates at street level to pull down. Tie the bunched up wires together and hope that none have been damaged in the process.

Oh and do it on a weekday. On a busy street. And don’t stop the traffic.

Now that’s cable management.

Im Untergrund…

Soeben fährt die U-Bahn in Richtung „Theresienwiese“ ab… es wird still im U-Bahnhof und ein leichter Wind weht. (Es weht übrigens in jedem U-Bahnhof ein leichter Wind – aber wollte das doch nicht unerwähnt lassen).

So ganz unschuldig und still setzt eine Papierserviette und ein Getränkebecher von BurgerKing sein Dasein fort. Warum wohl? Wer hat dies da hingestellt? Und wann? Was hat die Person alles konsumiert? Und warum in aller Welt macht ein Fotograf davon ein Foto?

Ein Foto entsteht – München erwacht

Irgendwo in München war ich unterwegs, kurz nach 7 Uhr in der früh – an einem Samstag Morgen. Eigentlich wollte ich in Richtung Hauptbahnhof als ich da den Getränkebecher und die Serviette am Boden sah. So kam es, das die U-Bahn ohne mich zum Hauptbahnhof fuhr.

Für mich wieder eines der alltäglichen Motive, an welchem wir achtlos vorbeilaufen. Für mich ist es das spannende ein solches Motiv interessant in Szene zu setzen.

München erwacht, die ersten Menschen sind unterwegs, fahren mit der Rolltreppe in die U-Bahn oder sind auf dem Weg nachhause.

Während ich die Kamera einstelle, das Motiv fokusiere und das Foto mache, sind auch andere Menschen im Bahnhof – aber weniger achtlos als beim Abfall beobachten sie meine arbeit. Vielen Dank für die Aufmerksamkeit. Egal in welcher Stadt ich unterwegs bin, sei es Mailand, München, Paris oder Zürich; ich bekomme immer relativ viel Aufmerksamkeit von den Menschen geschenkt. Warum wohl?

Ich darf es ja fast nicht sagen, aber irgendwie war ich da froh hat jemand den Abfall weggeworfen… danke für das Motiv an die unbekannte Person.

Nun fährt die U-Bahn ein. Jetzt geht’s zum Hauptbahnhof…

West Memphis police busted eight members of Wu-Tang’s Clan’s entourage during a traffic stop for speeding. DJ Mathematics and Streetlife were among those arrested. The Drug Task Force seized 18 bags of weed, 110 Ecstasy pills and $8,615 on the smoked-out tour bus.

The arrestees are:
• Ronald Bean (a.k.a. DJ Mathematics), 38, of Burford, GA
• (left) Patrick Charles (a.k.a. Streetlife), 37, of Perth Amboy, NJ
• Gregory Springs, 41; Joshua Torres, 21; Tyquan Brooks, 18; Arron Torrez, 28, all of Staten Island, NY
• Nathaniel Vereen, 39, of New York, NY
• Tremayne Jackson, 33, of Brooklyn, N.Y.

Each was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to sale or deliver.
The bus driver, who was clocked at 70 mph in a 65 mph zone, received a speeding ticket. The bus was en route to the Snoop Dogg show featuring Wu-Tang member Method Man in Tunica, Mississippi when it was pulled over at 9 pm on Nov. 9 at Exit 276 on I-40 in Arkansas.

While on the way to the Snoop Dogg show with Method Man, The Wu Tang crew were caught speeding going down the I-40. Police are comparing the tour bus to a Cheech and Chong movie. Unfortunately, The Drug Task force found 18 bags of weed, 110 ecstasy pills and $8,615 in cash those arrested were:

The old saying to watch the company you keep is ringing true once again. Two affiliates of the legendary team Wu are finding themselves in jail after being arrested in Arkansas. DJ Allah Mathematics and Streetlife were arrested Tuesday after police found weed on their tour bus. According to the police report, the officers opened the bus door and “could immediately smell the odor of burnt marijuana coming from the interior of the bus.”

Cops also noted that there were blunts and residue in plain sight but the nail in the coffin was when they found over 100 ecstasy tablets hidden inside a can and over  $8,000 in cash.

Eight other men on the bus were arrested. The bus driver was given a citation for speeding.

These tour bus searches are just bad business for rappers. Someone tell these tour bus drivers to slow down STAT!

Wochenende; die Tage in der Woche, auf welche die meisten Leute am sehnsüchtigsten warten… Es sind die Tage mit guter Laune, Partystimmung und erhöhtem Prozente-Konsum; und ich meine nicht etwa den Sommer-Schluss-Verkauf.

Vom Regal auf den Boden

Auch diesen Wochenende strömen wieder unzählige partybegeisterte Menschen in die Amüsier- und Disco-Zentren der Grossstädte. Warum auch nicht, die letzte Fete liegt immerhin 7 Tage zurück. Was dabei nie fehlen darf (man könnte sogar meinen es sei ein „Grundnahrungsmittel“ an den Wochenende) ist „Hochprozentiges“. Manchmal habe ich das Gefühl, es kommt weniger auf die Marke und den Geschmack an, sondern vielmehr auf die Zahl vor dem Prozent-Zeichen – je höher desto besser. So wechselt eine Flasche Vodka Gorbatschow (ca. 40%) den Besitz vom Laden zum Partyfolk. Der Inhalt der Flasche wird weniger und weniger… die Fähigkeit geradewegs auf ein Ziel zu laufen schwieriger und schwieriger… Und wie die Menschen heute so sind, wird die Flasche schnell entsorg – auf dem Bürgersteig. Die Flasche fällt zu Boden, zerbricht und ein paar Scherben markieren das Wochenende. Wie z.b. auf der Reeperbahn – ein Datum zu schreiben ist wohl überflüssig da es wohl alle 7 Tage den ungefähr selben Anblick geben wird.

Was vom Wochenende übrig bleibt…

Für die einen sind es die Erinnerungen an ein paar Entspannte Stunden, ein Ausflug aufs Lande und für andere? Ja andere ist es ein Schädel der Brummt wie die Anflugsschneise des Frankfurter Flughafens, ein leerer Magen, nach Rauch riechende Kleider. Scheinbar muss so ein „Flughafen-Schädel-Gefühl“ (wenn man das noch „Gefühl“ nennen darf) ja sowas von toll sein, oder warum wir dieses Ritual alle 7 Tage wiederholt – und das schon bei Menschen welche noch ein paar Jahre vor Ihrem 20. Lebensjahr haben?

Schlussendlich sind es ein paar Scherben die mich zu einem Foto bewegt haben, ein paar Scherben die mir zum Nachdenken geben. Eben „was vom Wochenende übrig bleibt…“.

A sunny day in Monopoli (a little city by the sea in my region, Apulia, in the south of Italy). During my tour of the city I “captured” this image (postprocessed in Photoshop). I’m from Apulia, exactly 60km far from Monopoli, but I’ll never get used to these scenes on public streets.

I suggest to visit this city where it is possible to have wonderful meals with all the tradional ingredients of that area (sea food, pasta, fish or meat). Other words are necessary to describe the sea… maybe another time. Click on the title of the photo to be redirected to its page in my website.
