Borussia Dortmund striker Robert Lewandowski has said that Cristiano Ronaldo can keep this season’s Champions League golden boot as his sole focus is to get his hands on the trophy with a victory on Saturday.

The Poland international, who has been linked with a move to BVB’s opponents at Wembley Bayern Munich this summer, is on 10 goals for the current campaign and a hat-trick would see him move above the Real Madrid forward, who is on 12.

“I know that, but to lift the Champions League I do not care who scores the goals,” he told Tuttosport. “I’ve scored 10 in this tournament, two fewer than Ronaldo – I’ll willingly let him have the top scorer [to lift the trophy instead].”

Lewandowski’s performances in the past couple of seasons have caught the attention of a host of Europe’s top clubs and he is believed to be manoeuvring for a departure from Signal Iduna Park, though he declined to discuss a transfer with the cup final around the corner.

“The Champions League is a trophy too important, I’ll sort out the rest of my career after it,” he added. “Now I only have the final in mind.

“For me, the transfer is not an issue: I do not know where I will play next season, I hear talk of Bayern and Real Madrid, but I swear I am concentrating on Borussia, with whom I still have a contract, and the final at Wembley.

“For the future we must wait a little longer – at the end of the season everything will be clear.”

Lewandowski is expected to lead Jurgen Klopp’s line at Wembley against the Bavarians, with kick-off at 20:45CET.

This is a great game to practise with all ages. It is all about using target men to set up attacks. Neither team can score without utilising the target man, so this is a great game to teach link-up play in the final third and reminds players not to be greedy.

It also rehearses the art of playing through opponents, and only positive and well-organised supporting runs will be rewarded with goalscoring opportunities.

How to set it up:

• Create a playing area measuring 35×25 yards.

• Within that, create two end zones, each 10 yards in from the goal lines.

• There are two goals – one at each end – and keepers in place.

• This game is best played with two teams of four outfield players.

Getting started:

• This game has no offsides, and if the ball leaves play, you have a few different restart options:

1. You pass a new ball onto the pitch.

2. Players take a roll-in.

3. Players take a throw-in.

4. Players make a pass-in.

5. Players dribble the ball in.

• Each team selects one player to be the "target man". This player stands in the attacking end zone.

• The aim of the game is to make a pass to the target man, and then for a supporting player to receive a lay-off pass to shoot at goal.

• When the target man receives the ball, only one defender can come back to attempt to break up play.

• After a shot is made, the shooting player swaps position with the target man.

• If a tackle is made before the ball goes through to the target man, the other team can attack in the opposite direction.

• Restart after a goal or if the ball goes out of play.

• The game is played for a set time period of 15 minutes.

The 20 year old striker from Auxerre is out of contract at the end of this season. It is no surprise that Arsenal have gotten his services especially as Wenger is known to be  the best “wheeler and dealer ” in the transfer market by getting quality for little to nothing.

The problem with a signing like Sonogo is that firstly he is young. Right now, Arsenal should be signing more experience players who have 3-4 years more than Sonogo. Secondly, he so similar to Chamakh and Adebayor. He has decent aerial ability like Chamakh and his footwork is similar to Adebayor but less refined and both strikers had decent first seasons but faded off in the end. Finally, he is from Auxerre, which is where Diaby started his career. As talented as Diaby is, to have another injury plagued french player who has been from injury after injury is not what Arsenal need right now.

On the other hand, he has scored 9 goals this season in 12 games which is definitely a good return on goals.

Even with a good goal return, all the negative signs are there about Sonogo. Arsenal need goals for next season and Sonogo is not it, YET. At just 20 years old if Wenger is looking for squad depth, then he would not be a bad signing to replace Bendtner, Park or Chamakh. But, Arsenal fans will be hoping that this potential signing, turns out to be one another “diamond in the rough” for Wenger.

Carlton Cole will leave West Ham.

The striker, who has been with The Hammers since 2006, will not sign a new contract with the club after his current deal expires in July.

Carlton Cole has always divided opinions amongst West Ham fans but no one could ever knock his commitment, passion and love for the club. I for one will miss watching Carlton Cole at Upton Park.

Carlton admitted himself he was not only a West Ham player, but a fan. A loyal servant during very difficult times at Upton Park, Cole has always put in 100% and enjoyed some great spells at the club particularly under Zola where he thrived and showed what he really can do.

Cole showed spells of the sort of quality that attracted so much interest as a youngster, and really for me could have gone on to do so much more. He is certainly not a striker that will set the world alight but he is the sort of striker that most sides would love to have in their squad… He will be sorely missed but maybe it is probably the right time for Cole to move on and get football week in week out once again, and I’m sure that I am not the only one who will wish Carlton all the best in the future.

Looking to the future this leaves us with one recognised striker… Maiga surely that means the arrival of at least two more strikers before the end of the summer… Hopefully Carroll then would love to see who else. Personally I expect the money that we would have been paying Cole to be spent on AC’s wages. COYI

Sanogo has electric pace and stupendous strength. If I were to compare him to another top player I would say that Sanogo players similarly to Aston Villa’s Christian Benteke. Sanogo has a very adept first touch and can hold the ball up well, much like Olivier Giroud, but Sanogo is then able to use his pace and power to burst away from defenders, something that Giroud lacks.

Sanogo has a record of 16 goals in 24 games which would be enough to get any fans excited about a new signing, but when you realise that comes after four seasons of football there are reasons to be sceptical. Sanogo is a very injury prone player but always comes back strong. He has a had a few bad injuries which include a broken leg. Hopefully Sanogo will be able to stay injury free and fulfill his full potential.

Sanogo has made 11 appearances for Auxerre this season and has notched a very impressive 9 goals. 4 of the goals came in a game against Laval FC where Sanogo put in an inspiring performance. Sanogo clearly has the talent to become one of the most deadly strikers in the world but he will have to stay as fit as possible.It must also be noted that Sanogo has an impressive record for the French youth squad, he has played for France at U16′s, U17′s, U19′s, U21′s side, he has scored 29 goals in 45 games. If Sanogo completes his move to Arsenal, Wenger will hope that he has unearthed another French gem for no price at all.
