Birdman stops by The Morning After with Angela Yee and says he’s still waiting for his letter to find out if he’s getting cleared from the NFL to own part of the Miami Dolphins. Then for the first time he ever, he talks about some of the artists he could have signed but didn’t get the opportunity for whatever reason (Keyshia Cole, Young Jeezy, T.I.) they discuss how difficult it is to have women signed to a label, but how great it is to have Nicki Minaj and Shanell on the team.  Check out part 2 and 3 after the jump,

Birdman says he was forced to rap, and goes on to explain the White Boyz mixtape he has coming out with Mack Maine. He discusses how much he loves white everything, but has never had a white woman. Baby says he has never gotten caught up in a woman and it will never happen.

Birdman says his main focus in life is to be a billionaire. He says he wants to produce movies with Cash Money Films. He lists artists he likes other than Cash Money signees including Rick Ross, Ne-Yo, Trey Songz, Gucci Mane and Brick Squad, including Waka Flocka.

When asked if he is planning a documentary, he agrees that it would be a good idea but admits that it is difficult to bring up the past, because you try to put your past behind you when you’ve lost so much. Birdman reiterates that R. Kelly was one of his biggest mistakes having wasted 2 summers with him.

My buddy Stunna is having a show this weekend.  You can see me, Grand Marquee, Alfonz De La Mota, Midway and Place 42 play at an all dnb gig this saturday June 26.  Yes I repeat Chicago another all dnb gig.  I know these are so few and far between that we’ve forgotten what they are but I’m so excited to hang out with my friends, play some music and listen to some dnb.  I miss that so much.  If you’re in Chi please come and hang out with us.  It’s going to be lovely.

I’ve been listening to some awesome mixes at the gym and on my walks to work.  Thank god for Bassdrive.  I don’t have as much time to search for new mixes so I just download an archive and I’m good to go.  Lots of good tunes out as usual.  I’ve been hearing some pretty wicked darker/rowdier ones that I’ve been digging…  Yes you heard correctly,  Liquid Funk Kiki is digging more and more rowdy tunes. *shrugs*  What can I say, I’m not laying around my flat pondering my life as much anymore so a rowdy tune here and there while on the go definitely gets me excited. 

I hope I get a chance to write again soon but I can’t guarantee it.  I have a long stretch coming up with no days off again for a minute.  We’ll see.

Lost series finale was yesterday.  I wasn’t as pissed as everyone else seemed to be.  I liked it.  I’m a sucker for happy endings.  I don’t really care about the unanswered questions.  My life will continue just fine.

I also worked my first Smallbar big football game shift this weekend.  It was the Champions League final and it was insane.  Crazy busy, a lot of drinking.  I remember I looked at the clock and it was 1230 and then when I looked again it was 445.  I didn’t even know who won.  LOL.  (Inter Milan did if you didn’t already know)  World Cup there is definitely going to be interesting.

I’m making an executive decision and doing my end of year top tracks today.  I’m going to Philly today and then I’m not taking my laptop with me to NY tomorrow so that really leaves me no time to write.

My list is always going to be kinda bogus.  LOL.  The tunes I blogged about towards the end of the year are still fresh in my mind and therefore get more attention than the ones I blogged about back in the beginning of the year cuz I’m not sick of hearing them yet.  The list is in no particular order.  I have been told that I have strange taste in some dnb track so my list means absolutely nothing.  It’s just a compilation of songs that I personally liked over 2009.  We also must take into account that the latter half of the year I wasn’t as diligent about writing tracks down due to the loss of my job so I’m not as up on new tunes as I used to be.  This list is just of tracks that I would have been happy to keep on my ipod for the past 365 days.

Back when I still listened to loads of mixes and radio shows Stunna‘s Green Room show on BassDrive was always on my list of downloads. In all honesty I haven’t listened to one in a while but seeing this new archive on-line might spur me on to getting back into it.
