Los que me han tocado alguna vez en sus vidas se habrán dado cuenta de que tengo una de las pieles más suaves del Mundo Mundial. Es una suavidad natural, porque mi único truco ha sido no ponerme ningún potingue en mi cara de pan en los 27 años de vida, exceptuando aquella vez que me disfracé de payaso en 1991.

Hablando el otro día delante de la fotocoimpresora en la oficina, surgió una de esas conversaciones en las que todas las mujeres de cinco despachos a la redonda levantan la cabeza y terminan acercándose para opinar. Yo les explicaba que no uso ninguna crema hidratante, ni de día ni de noche. Tengo un bote de crema de la marca delipús que me pongo después de ducharme cuando la piel queda muy tirante; y eso es todo.

Empezó la ronda de testimonios. Algunas testificaron sin arrepentirse que usan cremas que cuestan más de 70 euros. Otras, hablaron de sus limpiezas faciales, entonando el mea culpa porque les tocaba el mes pasado y no fueron. La mayoría contó que necesitan colágeno, microtensores e inositol. Yo solo escuchaba y al final, me he dado cuenta de que a primera vista existe cierta correlación: aquellas chicas de mi oficina que no tienen arrugas a pesar de tener varios lustros más que yo son las que se ponen crema hidratante por la mañana y por la noche.

Así que vuestra Mirichán se acercó a una perfumería y me compré un tarro de crema hidratante para pieles sensibles de la marca Olay. Me costó 10 euros. Al parecer es una crema estupenda, porque tiene protección solar además de camomila y vitamina E. Ya me la he puesto cuatro veces y no me noto más joven, pero tampoco más vieja. Es una crema detenedora del tiempo.

Y como una de las frases más repetidas fue esa de “si quieres saber como será tu piel cuando seas una mujer madura, mira a tu madre”, le compré otro tarro de crema hidratante a mi madre. Ella no tiene arrugas casi, pero cuánto más joven esté ella, más joven estaré yo! (Ahí, Mirichán, atacando el problema de raíz!)

Umedeceu a panela, depois pegou uma colher maior e raspou o que estava no fundo. Largou a panela no tanque. Abriu a porta da cozinha e foi até o quintal ver como estava o céu. Seu dia estava começando.

A velocidade era a mesma dos dias anteriores e isso foi como, percebendo naquele instante, como se estivesse acontecendo pela repetição tudo ao mesmo tempo: passado futuro presente: ela inerte nessa percepção, ainda ali no quintal. Voltou ao tanque. Olhou bem o que tinha de fazer. Não fez. Saiu da cozinha, ligou a TV. O que só fez aumentar aquela nova sensação. Ele havia saído pro trabalho como em todo dia. Ela ficou. Os cuidados com a casa era sua responsabilidade. Não havia responsabilidade alguma. Desligou a televisão. Vestiu uma roupa e decidiu sair naquela manhã e ver como era largar tudo.

Conseguiu voltar antes do marido. A casa então havia tomado uma nova forma. Ele chegaria e a encontraria com a casa do mesmo jeito que havia deixado. A panela no tanque, a porta da cozinha ainda aberta, a roupa de cama por fazer, o banheiro por lavar, a casa levemente suja, Oo fogão com vestígios do jantar passado.

“É, acho que é isso!” pensou, meio vagamente. “Direi que estive indisposta” concluiu.

Deitou-se no sofá, ligou a televisão e ela pareceu divertida.

O marido chegou. Ela falou o premeditado. Ele aceitou de tão cansado. Mas ainda sim foi até o tanque e lavou as louças e depois ainda o fogão, com calma e cuidado. E pra ela foi como uma folga. E foi dele o jantar.

Do ponto de vista da casa vazia foi mesmo essa sensação de suavidade no acontecido, como parece. Nos dias subseqüentes à descoberta de promiscuidade da mulher e da nova servidão do marido iniciou-se o ruir de vez.

- Sabe, minha mulher preferia que não te contasse… Mas ontem ela viu algo que você não gostará de saber…

Sendo que no fundo já sabia.

E ela que meses antes imaginava gravidez e felicidade e ele descansar na nova vida.

Just to be clear:  We aren’t professional critics.  We are amateurs.

One night while speculating in Wal-Mart about the difference in energy saving light bulbs versus regular light bulbs, we came to the realization that the only fair way to settle the issue was to test both light bulbs and see how much longer the energy saving ones actually lasted.  Then inspiration hit.  Why not try this for other products and then blog about our very unscientific results?  We could test not only energy saving light bulbs versus regular bulbs, but also name brand products versus generic ones, and then post about any differences we find.  Or try different restaurants and let people know what we thought about those. And that’s how The Common Consumer was born.

We aren’t professional critics. Our tests will probably have plenty of flaws.  But nevertheless, we are going to push forward into unexplored territory for the good of all average consumers, and answer questions that have forever plagued those shoppers who pondered over whether Sam’s cola was REALLY as good as Coke, or whether Suave is really as good as Oil of Olay.  Our results will be posted here for all the world to see, and then you can decide whether to follow our advice, or take a chance on your own.  We aren’t being sponsored or funded in any way.  We are just common consumers with curiosity and a keyboard.

Have you ever taken a class, heard a sermon, gotten some wise advice, or attended an event that totally changed your outlook or your life? I have, and the latest life-changing event that I attended was the Blogalicious Weekend Conference here in Midtown Atlanta at the W Hotel.

A consortium of women bloggers crowded the second floor of the swank W Hotel in Midtown Atlanta this weekend. An array of races in varying hues bustled excitedly from room to room soaking up the meals of blogging knowledge that this conference served up on a sparkling silver platter.

The event founders cleverly call themselves the Three Justices, three savvy, smart, and gracious young women with a passion for blogging and social media and helping others fulfill their dreams of successful blogging. Justice Fergie, Justice Joesie, and Justice Ny provided a wealth of information using some of the best bloggers in the business as the conduit. It was phenomenal. The Justices are all attorneys,  mothers, and wives. Between the three of them they have seven kids, hence the special theme of the conference, which was blogging women of color. Most of the speakers were mothers who passionately split their time blogging, wearing their Supermom capes, and being wives.

I started blogging about three months ago. At The Leisure Living Blog, I write about my biggest passion, blooming prosperous souls mentally, physically, emotionally, and financially through Yoga, cognizant positivity, and spiritual inspiration. The Writing Land is a more personal blog about my non-fiction, creative, and technical writing journey, goals, setbacks, and accomplishments. With being such a novice blogger, the conference was like a huge gift box with tons of prizes stuffed inside. Every layer that I unwrapped contained an even better prize than the previous layer. The sessions that I enjoyed were: Upgrade You, Taking Your Blog to the Next Level, Style Online & The Multicultural Blogger, The Art of Small Business Blogging, and Secrets of a Successful Blog. Mama Niri, Cordiva from SheGeeks, Frugalista, and Xochitl Gonzalez from Always a Blogs Maid are some of the blogger panelist that I got to meet and enjoy at the conference.

With the assurance that you will attend the 2010 conference, which will be in sunny Miami, I want to share some tips that I learned at the conference:

1. Be passionate and authentic in your writing. Every speaker stressed the importance of being honest, transparent, and enjoying what you blog about.
2. Do your research. Check your facts.
3. Be consistent. Make a schedule and post regularly so that your readers know when to expect new information.
4. Share. Link to and refer readers to other blogs. There is enough fame and fortune on the information highway for us all.
5. Comment. Leave comments on other people’s blogs. You want comments on your blog, so reciprocate. Pay it forward.
6. Set goals for where you want your blog to go. Use your own personal definition of success to track your progress.
7. Use Social Networking Tools and Media, for example, Twitter and Facebook, widgets and plug-ins.
8. Write Right. Grammar and spelling errors can be distracting, which will detract from your intended meaning. Use correct grammar and spell check.
9. Develop your own brand and design that represents you, your blog, and subject matter.
10. Be creative. Don’t mimic others; instead, use others as examples, and build your own blogging landscape and presence.
11. Find your own voice. It’s more work to pretend, so just be you. Have your own sound.
12. Know who your audience is and know what they seek. Then speak to them when you write.
13. Keep abreast of the technology that is available to bloggers.

In addition to these tips, the speakers provided us with tons of technology and software suggestions to help us take our blogs to the next level, streamline the process of updating content in multiple places (single sourcing), and get site statistics.

We received an array of gifts from the conference sponsors. Even the table centerpieces at breakfast, brunch, and dinner were composed of free gift elements that the sponsors encouraged us to take. These women did a wonderful job.

Blogalicious was informative, but it was also inspiring. The dedication and determination of the experienced bloggers was impermeable. The speakers’ transparent stories about where they were then and where they are now lent validity and plausibility to the thoughts and dreams I’d had about blogging and being an Infoprenuer. They all had the attitude that “If I can do it, You can too…and here’s what you need to do to get started.” Inspiring! In her Keynote speech, Karen Walrond encouraged us to “make our different beautiful.” She chronicled her blogging experience and gave us tips that’ll keep us from stumbling on our own journey. Author Denene Millner’s took us through her personal journey, reminding us that divine intervention is present at every turn. 

Already I’ve updated the design on my blog site, created a brand, set a posting schedule, and started a Twitter account. I was so pumped when I got home, that what I could immediately do, I did.

I really enjoyed meeting the other bloggers, networking, making connections, and hearing success stories. I didn’t meet not one person that wasn’t eager to learn or eager to teach. It was spectacular. We swapped knowledge, stories, and smiles. And that’s what it is all about, exchanging information and bringing along others as you climb. I want to thank the Justices for the best conference that I’ve attended in the last couple of years. The entire conference was deftly structured, organized, professional, and fun. I welcomed the contagious kinetic energy coursing in every room. The Food was delicious. The staff was gracious. The information was priceless. The inspiration is long lasting. Keep your online ears to the screen for information about Blogalicious 2010 in sunny Miami, Florida. You don’t want to miss it.

El jueves pasado muela 36 y yo fuimos al dentista. Así que desde entonces llevo comiendo con cuidadito y casi exclusivamente cosas blanditas o muy troceadas. He tenido suerte, porque no me duele absolutamente nada (incluso después de que se me pasara la anestesia no sentía dolor). Pero aún así hay que tener cuidadito y dejar que ese lado de mi encía recobre toda su fuerza. Así que hoy, desayuno blando postdentista.

En el bol hay dos yogures de plátano (mi devoción) y en el plato un poco de pavo y un quesito de burgos. De postre, un par de onzas de chocolate… porque aunque son duras, se me da increíblemente bien chuperretear y no es incompatible con la visita señor odontólogo!

¿Os habéis fijado en que como el plato es transparente parece que no existe realmente y que podría estar pintado en el suelo? ¡Me di cuenta al ver la foto! Entre ilusión perceptiva e ilusión perceptiva, he reflexionado sobre la cantidad de cosas que no están nítidamente en mi vida pero que siguen ahí, sosteniéndome como si yo fuera una loncha de pavo. A veces creemos que las cosas que tenemos las hemos conseguido solos, pero debajo de cada uno de nosotros hay un plato transparente que está ahí sujetando. Más nos vale tener cuidado de que no se rompa…

Kate Walsh at the 2009 Emmy Awards

For last night’s Emmy Awards, “Private Practice” star Kate Walsh wore a strapless, flowy J. Mendel dress, Louis Vuitton shoes, jewelry from the Stephen Russell Contemporary Collection.  But what surprised me was when Kate showed E!’s Guiliana a $30 clutch and that she used SUAVE hair style products.  Now Suave…that was smart advertising!  It just got a major plug at the Emmy’s.  When would Suave ever get mentioned at an awards show?  Kate also mentioned that besides using Suave hair products, her look wasn’t her choice.  Instead, frugalistas voted for which hair style Kate would be wearing on television’s biggest night.

Here were their choices:

Obviously, she chose the modern bob in the middle, and I think it looks sexy and fresh!  I also think it’s sexy and fresh to choose a high-low mix for an awards show.  It’s how real people dress anyway.  Well, maybe not that HIGH.  But I definitely like to mix a Chanel bag with American Apparel and J. Crew.  Before words like “recessionista” and “frugalista” came into our post-recession vocabulary, I think truly stylish, and of course, girls without trust funds, always dressed this way.  But now, it’s fashionable to be frugal.  I wonder who else dressed for the recession at last night’s Emmy Awards.  And what do you think of Kate’s economical elegance?

Last night I answered an advertisement for a paid panel discussion about deodorant.  It pays $110 for one hour of discussing your pits.  Where does the study take place?  I don’t know.  I imagine it is in some Silent of the Lambs-esk basement.  It still seems worth it to someone who needs to pay off new tires by the end of the month.  I just hope they pick me.  I doubt I will be chosen.  Just like the school play and the cheerleading squad and every dream job I’ve every applied for, I never make the cut.  I just want to be paid for talking about arm pits.  I am great at talking and I have good hygiene, so I’m basically the perfect candidate.  But, maybe this is one job that is meant for the smelly kid.  I’ll just have to sit back and wait to learn if I have been selected.  The anticipation is making me perspire.

Michael John Douglas (born September 5, 1951), better known as Michael Keaton, is an American actor, well known for his early comedic roles in films such as Night Shift, Mr. Mom, Beetlejuice, and for his portrayal of Bruce Wayne/Batman in Tim Burton’s Batman and Batman Returns, as well as lead roles in other films including The Paper, Jackie Brown, and White Noise.

An unsuccessful attempt at stand-up comedy led Keaton to working as a TV cameraman at public television station WQED (TV) in Pittsburgh. Keaton first appeared on TV in the Pittsburgh-based public television program Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood (1975), as one of the “Flying Zucchini Brothers.”  He also served as a full-time production assistant on the show. (In 2003, following Rogers’ death, Keaton hosted the PBS memorial tribute program, Fred Rogers: Everybody’s Favorite Neighbor.)

Before his big break (while still credited as Michael Douglas), Keaton did a billboard ad for the Architect Jeans Company. In an interview in 2003 for Live from Baghdad, Keaton recalled how he and the director of the Architect commercial, Spike Jonze, became fast friends.

Keaton left Pittsburgh and moved to Los Angeles to begin auditioning for various TV parts. He cropped up in various popular TV shows including Maude and The Mary Tyler Moore Hour. Around this time Keaton decided to use an alternative surname to remove confusion with well known actor Michael Douglas, as well as satisfying SAG rules, and after reading an article on actress Diane Keaton, he decided on “Michael Keaton.”

His next key break was working alongside James Belushi in the short-lived comedy series Working Stiffs, which showcased his comedic talent and led to a co-starring role in the comedy Night Shift directed by Ron Howard. His role as the hilariously fast-talking schemer Bill “Blaze” Blazejowski alongside nerdish morgue attendant Henry Winkler earned Keaton some critical acclaim, and he scored leads in the subsequent comedy hits Mr. Mom, Johnny Dangerously, and Gung Ho.

Keaton’s role as the title character in the 1988 Tim Burton horror-comedy Beetlejuice, which co-starred Alec Baldwin, Geena Davis, Catherine O’Hara, and Winona Ryder, earned Keaton widespread acclaim and boosted him to movieland’s A-list. He was originally turned down for the title role in Beetlejuice but was reconsidered by director Burton. Keaton now considers Beetlejuice his favorite of his own films.  That same year, Keaton also gave an acclaimed dramatic performance as a drug-addicted businessman in Clean and Sober.  Newsweek featured him in a story during this time.

Michael Keaton’s career was given another major boost when he was again cast by Tim Burton, this time as the title superhero of the 1989 blockbuster Batman. Burton cast him because he thought that Keaton was the only actor who could believably portray someone who has the kind of darkly obsessive personality that the character demands.  Warner Bros. received thousands of letters of complaint by fans commenting that the comedic Keaton was the wrong choice for Gotham City’s creature of the night, given his prior work in comedies and the fact that he lacked the suave, handsome features and tall, muscular physicality often attributed to the character in the comic books. However, Keaton’s dramatic performance earned universal acclaim from critics and audiences alike, and Batman became the highest-grossing film of the year.

According to Keaton, he was astounded when he was first considered as Batman since he was only familiar with the 1960s Batman television series starring Adam West, but it was not until Burton introduced Keaton to Frank Miller’s Batman: The Dark Knight Returns that Keaton really understood the dark and brooding side of Batman that he portrayed to much fan approval. Keaton wore the cape and cowl again in Batman Returns (1992), which was another financial success, though controversial for being darker than the original.

Keaton was prepared to return for Batman Forever (1995), even going so far as to show up for costume fitting. However, when Burton was dropped by Warner Bros., Keaton left the franchise. He was reportedly dissatisfied with the screenplay approved by the new director, Joel Schumacher, which Keaton considered to be lighter in tone than the past two Batman movies. According to the A&E Biography episode on Keaton, after he had refused the first time (after meetings with Schumacher), Warner Brothers offered him $35,000,000 (one of the highest salaries offered to an actor at the time), but Keaton steadfastly refused. He was subsequently succeeded as Batman by Val Kilmer and later on by George Clooney in Batman & Robin (1997), which became the least successful Batman film both critically and commercially. It was not until the success of Batman Begins (2005), a reboot starring Christian Bale as the Dark Knight, that the film series was continued.

Keaton remained in demand during the 1990s, appearing in a wide range of films including Pacific Heights, One Good Cop, My Life, and the star-studded Shakespearian story Much Ado About Nothing. He also starred in another Ron Howard film, The Paper, as well as with Andie MacDowell in Multiplicity and twice in the same role, Elmore Leonard character Agent Ray Nicolette, in Jackie Brown and Out of Sight. The actor also made Jack Frost and the thriller Desperate Measures.

Keaton starred in Speechless with Geena Davis (his co-star in Beetlejuice) and Christopher Reeve, as a political candidate’s speechwriter. As with Keaton and Batman, Christopher Reeve had gained notoriety for playing an iconic comic superhero, in his case Superman. Out of Sight starred George Clooney, who succeeded Keaton in the role of Batman in Batman & Robin.

Since 2000, Keaton has appeared in several films with mixed success including Live From Baghdad for which he was nominated for a Golden Globe award, First Daughter, White Noise, and Herbie: Fully Loaded. While he continues to receive good notices from the critics (particularly for Jackie Brown), with the exception of Cars, in which he played the part of Chick Hicks, he has not been able to approach the box-office success of Batman. On New Years Day of 2004, he hosted the PBS TV special Mr. Rogers: America’s Favorite Neighbor. It was released by Triumph Marketing LLC on DVD September 28 that year.

In 2006, Keaton starred in an independent film called Game 6, a semi-thriller based around the infamous 1986 World Series bid by the Boston Red Sox. He had a cameo in the Tenacious D short film, Time Fixers, an iTunes exclusive. The 9-minute film was released to coincide with Tenacious D in: The Pick of Destiny. Keaton was announced to be the lead in Media 8 Entertainment’s film Reaper, a supernatural thriller. He reportedly agreed to star as John Target in the Matt Evans scripted No Rule To Make Target, and he has directed a drama, The Merry Gentleman.

Keaton reportedly was cast as Dr. Jack Shephard in the series Lost, understanding that the role of Jack would be a brief one. Once the role was retooled to be a long-running series regular, Keaton withdrew. The part was given to actor Matthew Fox.

Keaton starred in the 2007 TV mini-series The Company, set during the Cold War, in which he portrayed the real-life CIA counterintelligence chief James Jesus Angleton. The role garnered Keaton a 2008 SAG nomination for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Television Movie or Miniseries. The Company also starred Chris O’Donnell, who portrayed Batman’s crime fighting sidekick Robin (the Boy Wonder was absent from the two Batman films that Keaton starred in) in Batman Forever and Batman & Robin.

Keaton is slated to join the Toy Story animated film’s cast for the upcoming Toy Story 3, providing the voice of Ken, Barbie’s friend.

Trivia:

When he realized he needed to change his name, he remembered an article he had read with a nice picture of Diane Keaton. He chose her last name with the intention of changing it later. However, the name stuck. Years later, he phoned her and thanked her. The two have never actually met.

Has a son, Sean Maxwell Douglas (born May 27, 1983), with ex-wife Caroline McWilliams.

Decided to change his name when he began acting because there was already a Michael Douglas in movies and a Mike Douglas in broadcasting. While he uses a stage name, he has never legally changed his name to Michael Keaton.

One of only two actors to reprise the role of Batman in major, live-action films (Batman (1989)/Batman Returns (1992). Adam West did only one movie (Batman (1966)) as Batman (along with the live-action TV series “Batman” (1966) and voice-work) and Kevin Conroy has only done voice-work as Batman. Turned down the role of the ill-fated mad scientist Dr. Seth Brundle in David Cronenberg’s remake The Fly (1986). The part eventually went to Jeff Goldblum.

Is a Second City alumni – a member of the Los Angeles branch.

According to Mike Myers on “Revealed with Jules Asner” (2001), Keaton saw the comic actor perform at Second City Toronto. After the show ended, Keaton went to personally congratulate Myers and said, “Keep up the great work.” Myers would soon work with Keaton on an episode of “Saturday Night Live” (1995) when Keaton was guest host.

His son Sean plays keyboard for a band called The Hatch.

Was originally slated to play Jeff Daniels character in Woody Allen’s The Purple Rose of Cairo (1985) and actually did film some scenes, but Allen decided it wasn’t working and replaced him with Daniels.

Appeared with the late Christopher Reeve in Speechless (1994). Keaton and Reeve played DC Comics two most iconic characters, Batman and Superman, respectively.

He was originally to play the role of Dr. Jack Shephard in the TV show “Lost” (2004), with the understanding that the character would be killed off early on in the show. Keaton later had to walk away from the part when the creators decided not to kill off the doctor. Matthew Fox ended up playing the character.

A Universidade Positivo fica na puta que pariu. No dia em que o curso começou tive, cedo, outro curso no bairro Santa Cândida. Naquele dia, praticamente fui de um ponto de Curitiba a outro, sem muitos intervalos para descanso e de ônibus.

Mas era uma oficina sobre crônicas, coisa que gosto tanto… O esforço deveria valer a pena. E valeu.

Na quarta-feira a Sindy foi comigo. Entramos, sentamos, ouvimos. O palestrante? Antônio Torres. Vá procurar no Google se quiser saber mais sobre o cara. Aposto que vai gostar. Ele, baiano, tinha o sotaque típico. Lia uma ou outra crônica, falava sobre a origem do estilo e a sua relação com jornalismo e literatura. Bingo! “A crônica é um olhar”, falava ele sobre o assunto, com poesia.

A sala estava cheia de desconhecidos. Eram jornalistas, escritores, professores, psicólogos, estudantes…

Eu e Sindy precisávamos sair mais cedo naquele dia. Iríamos entrevistar o Dr. Salmo Raskin, o primeiro brasileiro a participar do projeto Genoma Humano.

Aí uma das participantes, jornalista de tv só pelo jeito como leu um texto, falou, como que querendo reconhecimento do autor “Duvido que algum professor de comunicação seja melhor do que Antônio Torres”. Pensei em dizer, “Vá à merda!”, mas sai da sala.

O ônibus foi o mais lotado que peguei na vida. Cada rotatória era um exercício de musculação para braços e pernas. O engraçado é que todo mundo no ônibus ria, como se fossem crianças encantadas com uma novidade. Eu, por incrível que pareça, ri também. A proximidade com as pessoas era tanta que conversávamos. Já que estávamos tão perto uns dos outros, não custava fazer amizade.

O entrevistado, naquele dia, atrasou 45 minutos. Deve ser o trânsito que, entre seis e sete, é uma merda. O que importa é que ele foi e que a entrevista foi muito proveitosa, eu diria até que mágica.

Na quinta-feira eu estava já de férias. Acordei tarde, almocei e fui, novamente, para a oficina. Desta vez, Sindy não me acompanhou.

Uma volta pela Bienal, um suco para aliviar o calor, um sanduíche natural.

Crianças estavam por todos os lados, em visitas escolares. As professoras caçavam um aqui, outro acolá, descabelavam-se para, em vão, tentar manter a ordem.

Fugi do que parecia ser o limbo, cheio de pestinhas não batizadas, correndo de um lado para o outro, e entrei na sala com ar condicionado e jazz. Jazz.

Antônio começou a aula falando sobre a importância da música, sobre músicas que são interpretadas, não apenas tocadas ou cantadas. Sintam esse piano, ele dizia. Por alguns segundos, fechei meus olhos e fiz o que se pedia. Senti o piano.

A moça que é, de fato, jornalista de tv, sentou ao meu lado. Além de ser incrivelmente bonita, parecia, naquela quinta-feira, ser bastante simpática.

Todo mundo participava com leituras, comentários, risadas…

Um dos meus participantes favoritos foi um jornalista também. Ele lia e sua voz parecia ser feita sob medida. Era grave e suave ao mesmo tempo. Era bonita.

A surpresa da quinta-feira foi um jovem participante que resolveu criar uma relação entre o jazz e o modernismo. Quando ele terminou de falar, todos aplaudiram. O aplauso se deu porque estávamos diante de uma criança. Um pequeno gênio.

Mas, como era ainda uma criança, sabia pouco sobre humildade e deixou-se encantar pela vaidade. Aí ele falava, falava, falava. Enchia o saco. Ele sabia que era inteligente. E queria que todos soubessem também.

Um garoto de cabelos compridos e costeletas resolveu ler uma crônica que produzira. O texto falava sobre uma moça loira, de curvas perfeitas e vestido verde, a pegar um estojo que caiu no chão. Era um texto hormonal e tão bom como tudo que assim é.

Depois… Opa… Existia uma loira da maneira por ele descrita. E ele confessou que havia feito o texto para ela.  Eu gosto de histórias românticas. Aquilo me encantou…

A mulher mais interessante, que participava também de oficina, chamava-se Dagmar. Era linda, falava brilhantemente e confessou que foi tomada por uma onda de sentimentos e sensações sexuais quando ouvia aquele jazz. Eu queria ser jovem hoje, ela disse. “Por que será que a gente é jovem quando não sabe ser jovem?”, terminou.

Ela foi convocada a produzir um texto sobre aquela sensação de ouvir jazz.

Na sexta-feira todos chegaram querendo saber de Dagmar. Onde estava? Será que não viria?

O garoto prodígio levou um texto para ler. O texto era brilhante, assim como ele. Ao final perguntamos a sua idade. 13, respondeu. 13 anos, meu Deus! E falava já sobre Paulo Leminski, modernismo, amor e romance? Esse vai ser dos bons, disse a moça jornalista de tv.

Aliás, na sexta ela também leu um texto. Falou sobre o romantismo existente no garoto que escreveu sobre a loira. Falou bonito. Escreveu muito bem.

O outro jornalista, da voz suave, leu também uma crônica sobre o mesmo tema: a surpresa que foi a presença do rapaz galante a flertar de forma antiga com a moça loira.

Dagmar chegou com atraso. Todos aplaudiram, como se ela fosse a estrela do dia. E era.

Leu seu texto e envolveu a todos com sua brilhante narrativa. No texto, confessou ter seus sessenta e poucos anos. Não parece. Não parece mesmo. Quero ser assim como ela, pensei. Irradiava juventude, amor, sensualidade, alegria, inteligência. Era uma combinação afrodisíaca que poucos conseguem ser.

O texto falou sobre sua experiência com o jazz e a surpresa que isso significava na vida dela: mãe, viúva, mulher. Ela dizia sobre o suor dos homens negros tocando piano, sax, baixo… Dizia de sua vontade de dançar com uma echarpe branca. E estava, de fato, com uma echarpe branca.

Eu me arrepiava. Olhava para os lados e todos pareciam sentir o mesmo que eu. Aquilo tudo tinha uma energia que parecia ter cor. Eu, sentada, admirava tudo como se estivesse conversando com Deus.

Tudo combinava. Era uma experiência muito mais do que acadêmica. Era uma coisa de vida.

A professora de inglês, Rita de Cássia, lia um texto sobre Antônio. Mas ela encenava também, como se aquilo fosse ensaiado…

Eu batia palmas com força, talvez com mais força do que os que assistem a espetáculos da Broadway.

Foram seis horas, divididas em três dias, de aulas sobre crônicas, se alguém vê de fora.

Foram momentos mágicos, de aulas sobre a vida, para quem teve a oportunidade de participar, como eu tive.

Arte em tom suave e romântico. O Rosa chá dá um toque de classe e fica lindo em puro linho.

O branco tem a sua nobreza, mas é bom bordar em tecido colorido de vez em quando. Dá a impressão de renovação. Os motivos vão surgindo e tomam um efeito diferente.

Não tenha medo de ousar, de combinar motivos e acabamentos. Nessa toalha, por exemplo, usei um bico branco.  Achei interessante o resultado. Ficou leve, distinto e diferente.
