Subaru is shuffling options and trim lines for the 2010 Tribeca, the automaker’s largest SUV. A 2010 Tribeca 3.6R carries an MSRP of $31,190 including destination, $500 less than a 2009 Tribeca with third-row seating. All 2010 Tribecas seat seven passengers.

All Tribecas are powered by a 256-hp six-cylinder engine mated to a 5-speed automatic and, of course, have AWD. Whether you choose the Premium, Limited, or new Touring model, fog lights, 18-in. wheels, power driver and passenger seat, heated front seats, and third-row seating — a $1000 option on 2009 models — are standard equipment.A 10-speaker harmon/kardon audio system, Bluetooth, leather, a moonroof, and a navigation system are also available options. Packages are $200 less expensive than before, whether you buy the $2200 navigation system or couple the nav with the rear seat entertainment system for $4000.

The new $36,490 Touring model is the top-of-the-line Tribeca, with HID headlights, monotone paint, silver roof rails, a 3.5-in. backup camera display, and an auto-dimming mirror. The $30,000-40,000 SUV segment is crowded, but with Subaru’s niche status, it’s possible these minor updates are all the Tribeca needs to carry it until a redesign.
