Lets go get a car loan. Yes you and me. You don’t want to go? Why? O because you have no idea

Lets go get a car loan. Yes you and me. You don’t want to go? Why? O because you have no idea where to even start with getting a loan? I figured!

Well before we can get a loan, we need to know how much you can afford. So, let me see your monthly budget or lets sit and prepare a budget. You don’t know how? I figured!

When my parents were in high school, there was a class called personal finance. However, most schools no longer offer this. What an invaluable resource! How can this class be justifiably removed from the curriculum? I’m sitting in my office and I have a 22 year college student who has no idea about her personal finances. Luckily, she has seen that she doesn’t understand how to handle money properly and recognizes she will need to improve these skills. (Even stating she wished college offered a personal finance class)

This is my to-do list for students who need help:

1.) Make a personal budget- For one month, write down everything you spend your money on. A pack of gum, write it down. Getting gas, write it down. EVERYTHING! Now that you have it all written down, Write down how much money you made in that month at the top of a blank sheet. Now, start subtracting. Start with your fixed cost (rent, car payment, insurance, cell phone payment, etc.) Now that you have your fixed cost covered, start writing down the variable cost (gas, food, misc. purchases, etc). Bam, budget! simple. Now its time to start combing through what you have spent your money on. You ate out 15 times in that month, maybe cut that down to 5. You spent $200 at the bar, maybe cut that down to $80. Look for spikes in your spending that you could avoid that could add up to big gains in savings.

2.) Learn how to get a car loan, house loan, student loan. Learn the difference between getting a 5% loan and 6% loan. (5% interest rate could put your payments within reason, 6% may knock it out). On a house loan, the small difference in an interest rate is much more dramatic.

3.) Learn some tricks from people who are good with their money. Ex: Did you know? On a 30 year house loan (typical), by making one extra payment a year (could use tax return money), you will cut your 30 year house loan down to 19 years. That is 11 years of no payment!

4.) You know the different between right and wrong, use those same morals when making purchases. Question every purchase as a want or a need and start minimizing wants.(Those $120 Ugg boots are a want! remember that)

I have been fortunate to have parents who were responsible with their money. They taught me the value of a dollar (i know, im a grandpa). I was educated on what credit is, how to balance my personal finances, how to get a car loan without a cosigner, and many others that im forgetting. But the fact still remains, if you want to be better off financially, you need to know what your doing.

2 No One Has

3 Get Used/Replaced

4 Price for Profit/Sale

5 In a position to make % off every sale

If your business have these criterias, you will have a higher chance of a successful business. Just take any products/services and make sure they meet those criterias.

For example: Take Toilet Paper

1 Does everyone need Toilet Paper? (I hope so – Pass

2 Does everyone has a Toilet Paper Factory in their back yard? – Pass

3 Does it get used up or need replaced? (hahhaha) – Pass

4 It is priced for profit or sale? Can you imagine if toilet paper cost $10/a roll. We’ll all be using tree leaves. – Pass

5 Is the owner of Charmen in a position to make a % off every sales. – Pass

Summary of Life

GREAT TRUTHS THAT LITTLE CHILDREN HAVE LEARNED:

1) No matter how hard you try, you can’t baptize cats..
2) When your Mum is mad at your Dad, don’t let her brush your hair.
3) If your sister hits you, don’t hit her back. They always catch the second person.
4) Never ask your 3-year old brother to hold a tomato.
5) You can’t trust dogs to watch your food.
6) Don’t sneeze when someone is cutting your hair.
7) Never hold a Dust-Buster and a cat at the same time.
You can’t hide a piece of broccoli in a glass of milk.
9) Don’t wear polka-dot underwear under white shorts.
10) The best place to be when you’re sad is Grandpa’s lap..

GREAT TRUTHS THAT ADULTS HAVE LEARNED:

1) Raising teenagers is like nailing jelly to a tree.
2) Wrinkles don’t hurt.
3) Families are like fudge…mostly sweet, with a few nuts
4) Today’s mighty oak is just yesterday’s nut that held its ground..
5) Laughing is good exercise. It’s like jogging on the inside.
6) Middle age is when you choose your cereal for the fiber, not the toy.

GREAT TRUTHS ABOUT GROWING OLD

1) Growing old is mandatory; growing up is optional..
2) Forget the health food. I need all the preservatives I can get.
3) When you fall down, you wonder what else you can do while you’re down there.
4) You’re getting old when you get the same sensation from a rocking chair that you once got from a roller coaster.
5) It’s frustrating when you know all the answers but nobody bothers to ask you the questions.
6) Time may be a great healer, but it’s a lousy beautician
7) Wisdom comes with age, but sometimes age comes alone.

THE FOUR STAGES OF LIFE:

1) You believe in Santa Claus.
2) You don’t believe in Santa Claus.
3) You are Santa Claus.
4) You look like Santa Claus.

SUCCESS:

At age 4 success is . . . . not piddling in your pants.
At age 12 success is . . .. having friends.
At age 17 success is . . having a driver’s license.
At age 35 success is . . .. .having money.
At age 50 success is . . . having money.
At age 70 success is . … . having a drivers license.
At age 75 success is . . . having friends.
At age 80 success is . . . not piddling in your pants.

Pass this on to someone who could use a laugh.

Always remember to forget the troubles that pass your way;
BUT NEVER forget the blessings that come each day.

Have a wonderful day with many *smiles* !

Take the time to live!!!
Life is too short.
Dance naked. woo-hoo!

What do you do everyday? Do you have any habits? What about in a week? Anything you do every week?

Habits are ways for a us to start a cycle of doing something everyday, every week or every month even. Most think that people who have these daily plans are boring, not the vagabonds of inspiration. If you can think as a realist for a second, having a daily plan can do more for someone than anything else. Plan to sit and be creative (If you are a blogger, plan to blog once a day or twice a week or whatever you feel is worthy. An artist, paint once a week. A college student, read for an hour once a day) you get the picture.

What time do you get up? 10am

Wake up at 6am and you have added 4 hours of time to be productive

Go to bed at 1am

Go to bed at 10pm, added 3 hours of productive time.

That’s just a simple analogy but the outcome is still the same. Find out what you spend your time doing and then judge if it is worth your time doing.

Want to start working out? Do it, TODAY! start a routine. Find a routine and start it. If you like it, keep doing it, if not find a new one. Want to be more social? Make an effort to talk to new people everyday. Face your fear.

You never get better at doing anything by just sitting and thinking about doing it. Once you start doing things you will figure out how to be even more productive by doing each habit better, faster, stronger (is Kanye blogging?).

What have i done that is habit forming? I started working out in the morning. For the past 3 weeks i having been going. Not consistent like i am striving for, but that’s all part of the habit forming process. Now i”m to the point that i feel bad to miss a workout.

What do you want to do, try?

Dear Kevin:

What the?! It “had” to be something more than just eating only two meals in the day, resisting the urge to eat near bedtime but rather drinking 12 oz of Mangosteen water…yet the scale this morning showed 239.5 instead of the 245 it showed after my shower the preceding day.

Understanding God’s science and how it works in “our temple” is VERY HELPFUL in making the changes needed for a slim healthful life style. Understanding who the real fight is against is very helpful to me too. It’s no commercial but it is one more person joining the ranks.

Let’s see if today is the first day I flip for life.

Off to church now but will set up the system of notes and calendar through my yahoo when I return later today.

Yesterday my dear husband and I made another attempt. We are hoping to get pregnant. From the books I’ve read, the missionary position is the method that increases odds of conception. Plus, I just wanted to be able to say that a traditional position and a position that is suppose to allow for more intimacy wasn’t creating the wall. I could understand if I was trying some of those positions that you hear from word of mouth that requires flexibility and practice.

It took us 3 hours, but we did it. It took a lot of breathing and I found that if he gave me control with guiding that there was more sucess. As I breathed and got more comfortable, I told him to slowly lift up and slowly lower and eventually when I felt like he was in the whole way with a level of 1-2 discomfort, I was able to release control. I had to stop a few times with the body memories, but it felt great to get past the wall that has been there.

Now with any hopes we can start a family. I’m continuing the physical therapy. My Pelvic floor muscles seem to be in a constant state of contracting. So my next goal is to get to the point where I’m not dealing with the pain from the contracting muscles or tight pelvic floor.

THIS WOULD BE A PUSH FOR THE BOOKIES BACK IN THE DAY AND WOULDNT SHOW ON THE FOOTBALL CARD. TO CLOSE TO CALL? I THINK SO. I AM A PATS FAN BUT ALSO A FAN OF MANNING OR IS HE A REINCARNATION OF ELVIS? THANK YOU VERY MUCH. HERE IN NEW ENGLAND WE ARE SPOILED WITH ALL THE SUCCESS OF OUR SPORTING TEAMS AND THIER FRANCHISES. SOMETIMES IT DIFFICULT TO APPRECIATE OTHER CITIES TEAMS,BUT IN THIS CASE WE ALMOST HAVE TO. WILL MARONEY SAVE THE DAY OR WILL THE COLTS DEFENSE BE FOOLISH ENOUGH TO HAVE SINGLE COVERAGE ON MOSS. WHATEVER HAPPENS ITS GONNA BE A DOOZY. I HAD TO PICK THE PATS IN THE POOL BECAUSE IM A HOMER. BUT IF I WAS A BOOKIE THIS GAME WOULD NOT BE ON THE CARD. A PUSH JUST ANOTHER PUSH. GOOD LUCK EVERYONE BIG LOU

After careful reflection, I have compared the painful events where there was partial sucess and the

After careful reflection, I have compared the painful events where there was partial sucess and the one sucess episode. When I was given the homework assignment by my Physical therapist to attempt at sex for informative purpose, I know I was told that I needed to be in the mood and that I had to be relaxed. I think having the homework assignment and feeling like it was important to get data, may have made it be more difficult to relax and be in the mood so to speak.

It is funny. Well not funny, but the irony is I thought I wanted it. I desired to be normal. I guess normal isn’t the right word, but I desired the physical intimacy that a lot of married couples experiences. I wanted to see progress, even if it meant suffering a low level pain. I think I put so much stress and emphasis that I made for a more painful situation.

I’ve learned from that mistake. Although I say I’ve learned, I can’t control my body because sometimes the natural desire and interest can sometimes not match. You can sometimes fool yourself into thinking that your in the mood and not realize that there are other things that impede it, but I have a better understanding that if something isn’t sucessful does not mean immediate regression.

This was something I was reflecting because in one of the support groups I’m in this discussion came about. I think soo many times with the natural difficulties and blockks to a natural healthy sex life, and using of tampons. Many of us jump on “there goes my pelvic muscles” or I’ve regressed as opposed to thinking about our current state of mind. Especially with individuals with vaginismus, the natural need for foreplay and being in the mood is soo important.

You have to have sex when you desire it and not when others want you to have it. If there is pressure from your partner and your not in the mood, it may result in a painful or unsucess. I have learned to be more open about really where I am mentally in the process.

I’m over the swine flu, and while I want to make another attempt with my husband, I’m not going to run to bed until I know that I’m ready and in the mood. I want it to be sucessful. That doesn’t mean I’m going to wait weeks, but I want to make sure that when I make another attempt I have the time to put into the process.

I do hope that someday that I can have what people call “quickies” or maybe that really doesn’t exist. Right now my goal is to have continued progress in the bedroom and to eventually get to the point where I can enjoy myself in the bedroom. I hope that this isn’t an unrealistic goal or dream.

Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway by Susan Jeffers is a book that helps people to accept fears and live

Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway by Susan Jeffers is a book that helps people to accept fears and live their life the way they want to live it. So that they can get away from pain, paralysis & depression… start living with power, energy, and enthusiasm.

First of all we need to meet our fears – “Fear is holding you back from experiencing life the way you want to” then categorize it as per three levels of fear

1) Level One Fears: Fear that permeates many areas of our life (Those that “Happen” – aging, becoming disabled, etc. and those that “Require Action” – changing careers, loosing weight, etc.)

2) Level Two Fears: These fears have to do with our “inner state of mind” rather than our exterior situations – rejection, success, failure…

3) Level Three Fears: I can’t handle it! (At the bottom of every one of our fears is simply the fear that we can’t handle whatever life may bring us).

Secondly we need to realize Fears never go away - Basic truths of fear are…

Truth #1 – The fear will never go away as long as you continue to grow.

Truth #2 – The only way to get rid of the fear of doing something is to go out and do it.

Truth #3 – The only way to feel better about yourself is to go out…and do it! Make deposits into our self-confidence bank.

Truth #4 – Not only am I going to experience fear whenever I’m on unfamiliar territory, but so is everyone else.

Truth #5 – Pushing through the fear is less frightening than living with the underlying fear that come from a feeling of helplessness.

Some quick checklist for all …………

We don’t blame others for anything we are being, doing, having, or feeling

We do not beat up on ourselves

We are aware of when we are not taking responsibility so we can change

We are handling the “chatterbox” in our head

We are aware of the payoff that is keeping us stuck

We are setting goals and working towards them

We understand that we have choices in any given situation

When we learn to handle our fear, we move from a position of pain to one of power!

If you are positive you attract positive people.

Seek out for mentors & friends

Strive for healthy assertiveness..

Appreciate others when they are supporting you & help you grow.

Be your own best friend.

Learn to trust that we will survive, no matter what happens.

Create richness for yourself that nothing can ever take away your basic sense of completeness.

Consciously accept what is happening in your life.

Tune your subconscious mind

Best of all Be Patient

Last but not least!! Be the kind of person you would want to surround yourself with.

Give Away Thanks

Give Away Information

Give Away Praise

Give Away Time

Give Away Money

Give Away Love

Cheeeeioooooooo………….

Back when I first started in the world of press photography I was working for a lovely little weekly

Back when I first started in the world of press photography I was working for a lovely little weekly paper the Coventry Observer. The paper was really a training ground for me and allowed me to get my feet wet in all sorts of different situations and events.

One of the highlights of working in Coventry was the local team Coventry City FC. It is a fairly large team in Uk football, but one that suffered a few poor seasons while I was there.

Taking pictures at an average sport job is a fairly simple affair, you generally turn up, mention who you are (if there is a gate) and stand somewhere along the side of the pitch and hope it’s not too cold.

Taking pictures of Coventry City was a different matter altogether. First issue is where to park as parking generally costs a small fortune. One option was the local retail park, which was perfect for those days where I had shopping to do, or I was only attending for one half of the game due to other jobs on the day. The other options was to park miles away and walk in or pay for the parking. After a while I got to know the owner of a local pub who gave me parking almost a stones throw from the ground in return for a few shots from the game.

Once arriving at the ground you then travel to the main entrance to the Ricoh Arena (conveniently located as far as possible from you) to pick up your pass from the media reception, and then travel back round to the other side of the ground to get inside the ground proper. This is sometimes more tricky than others, as on occasion I was forced to arrive for only the second half, and by this time there was no one manning the gates forcing me to hammer away in the hope that people will hear.

Once you are inside the ground, you are on the floor faced with the pitch in front of you and thousands of fans taking their seats around you. You move into a maze of passages below the stands where you find the photographer’s room (not an easy task first time). The photographer’s room is a tiny little box of a room where you find a bib, programme, team sheet and several other photographers from local and national newspapers agencies and me who hasnt got a clue what is going on.

This is the work involved in getting onto the pitch, once their life gets much easier. You find a spot along the touch-line you are happy with, where the team you are shooting will be attacking, set up a little camp stool (no chairs for photographers and no standing either) and settle in for the game.

As far as taking the shots go, im no expert but it involves predicting the plays, keeping focus as best you can and a little bit of luck that events go your way. I was always a little short on kit at these games, as most photographers carried at least two camera bodies, one with a really long lens, another for close in action and possibly a third on a remote behind the goal. I had one body with an 80-200mm lens attached meaning that I could shoot about a quarter of the pitch, as a result I was often seen on Sky Sports looking a little bored when the action was out of my range.

The following shots were taken at an away game visiting Manchester United at Old Trafford. This was a very different experience, not just because the ground was so much larger seating over 76,000 people but also in the media rooms. The photographers room for example was not just a cupboard but a large room with internet access, power points, plus free food and drink. Also we had benches on the pitch! nothing fancy just a piece of wood with photographer printed on, but this was luxury. The final score? Coventry won 2-0!

The nose has a left and a right side; we use both to inhale and exhale.

Actually they are different; you would be able to feel the difference. The right side represents the sun, left side represents the moon.

During a headache, try to close your right nose and use your left nose to breathe. In about 5 mins, your headache will go.

If you feel tired, just reverse, close your left nose and breathe through your right nose. After a while, you will feel your mind is refreshed.

Right side belongs to ‘hot’, so it gets heated up easily, left side belongs to ‘cold’.

Do you notice the moment we wake up, which side breathes faster? Left or right? ?

If left is faster, you will feel tired. So, close your left nose and use your right nose for breathing, you will get refreshed quickly.

This alternative natural therapy without medication is something that he has experienced.

So, why not give it a try?

Theseguysblog Challenge – Hit up Connaught place with a 100 rupee note in hand and come home with the following four DVD’s:

Surrogates – B-Weasy acts the shit out of this movie, one of his finest films. The premise revolves around the idea that Bruce buys a bunch of robotic replicas of Bruce … meaning quadruple the Bruces.

Land of the Lost – Most people hate Will Ferrell based on the fact that they think too many people like Will Ferrell. Those people are idiots; his shitty movies are guaranteed for 12 giggles at a minimum.

Life is all about giggles, if I don’t get my fix of at least 50 giggles a day I become a dangerous man.

Year One – This movie is sure to further feed my sick sick addition with Michael Cera.

The Hurt Locker – Arguably the only legitimate movie I was in the market for.

After filtering through hundreds of pirated American DVD’s I could only find two out of the four. My half ass attempts at lowballing these dirtbags, at a fraction of the market price, were failures forcing me to move on. Before I knew it, close to two hours had gone by and my goal was far from achieved.

My patience was running thin but after thinking of how I would feel post-Michael Cera film, I gathered the motivation to dig down deep into my energy reserves. The pickings were slim seeing as we had visited nearly all of stores, but out of nowhere this one fellow caught my attention. We made eye contact and he spewed out broken English offering me games, DVD’s and CD’s.

The merchant motioned for me to follow him to his co-workers store (all these dudes work in cahoots each managing a couple different shops). I followed the merchant to his other store but as soon as the other owner saw my face I could tell something had gone wrong. I was told to leave.

My luck had run out, with my recently shaved head and unchanged white skin, I was easily remembered as the skinheaded, sleaze-bagging low baller. I somehow managed to get blacklisted from the underground pirated movie hub. I mean that’s talent people, to out slime the skeezies shows some serious tenacity and balls, half you jokers out there couldn’t do what I did.

Through association Arvil was blacklisted but that also might have been attributed to the fact that he low bagged this one dude so badly that even me, the king of the low ballin’ scumbags was surprised by his offer.

Twelve DVD’s for 300 rupees, Arvil pulled an offensive, spinless yet ballsy move and I have to respect him for it.

Although no DVD’s were purchased Arvil did buy:

Rolex – 100 rps – originally: 250 rps.

Shantanaram (novel) – 200 rps – originally: 700 rps.

A strawberry milkshake with whipcream toppings – 80 rps.

Right before he chuggled the shake, Arvil said in a high pitched voice while limping his wrists:

“I am such a bad boy, I shouldn’t”

India’s Zagat street side vendor winners have been announced. Once again theseguysblog.wordpress.com are the first with the results.

Best Barber: Harkirishna Gupta

When your payout is the tightest Guido fade imaginable then sometimes it’s worth being cut up by rusty unsterilized razors. Harkrishna Gupta is his name and all day long the Gupster (Goop-ster) hooks brothers up with the fade that’s ganna get you laid. I can’t even count how many times he gave me a tight ceaser dew which resulted in a morning trip to planet parenthood.

Harkrishna Gupta on the job

Guppy (Goop-ey) has been cutting hair ever since he saw Barbershop 2, staring Ice Cube … classic. The Gupster refined his skills at Blaine Beauty School in Waltham, Ma. He graduated second out of his class of 15, edged out by none other than Papa Lote (Grande Ligas – Framingham, MA).

Best Shoe-shiner: Suneet Mehta

Shining shoes aint no walk in the park, the amount of forearm strength required to buff out a pair of alligator oxfords is insurmountable.

Suneets mother was a dirty Mongol and his father was a shiesty shoe salesman who often worked long hours. Their house was constructed solely out of shoeboxes; in fact Suneets crib, as a child, was composed out of an air force one shoe box (white on whites of course).

Suneet the shiner

After watching the Karate Kid on loop for four straight years, little Suneet had perfected the wax on wax off motions. When he hit puberty Suneets forearm strength tripled … for obvious reasons.

He has beaten Mariusz Pudzianowski, Ving Rhames and Sanjays moustche in best of five arm wrestling matches.

To this date, Suneet has yet to have an unsatisfied customer.

Additional info: Suneet moonlights as the owner of a roadside Z-Job factory.

Best Sauce: Dees Ahswhol

Dees Ahswhol sucked at pretty much everything when growing up … completely inadequate at life. He was terrible at basic math, hopeless at making friends and had the tiniest penis. Fortunately he was lucky enough to land a gig clipping Julia Child’s toenails.

While working with Julia he stole one of her famous sauce recipes and moved back to India. Now every day Dees sells roughly 70 gallons of his sauce. He has the tastiest sauce in Delhi, his sauce is so good, the best sauce a man could wish for, you must taste his sauce. His sauce is kept extra warm in his stainless steel canister.

Is the year 1935? Did I just get time warped back to the Third Reich? This must be some sort of sick

Is the year 1935? Did I just get time warped back to the Third Reich? This must be some sort of sick twisted dream … Today when leaving my house I noticed dozens of swastikas lining the stairs of my building. Immediately the Ann Frank in me began looking for an out and I formulated a plan to hide in the attic till shit blew over. I was later reassured that the swastikas hold a religious significance to Hinduism and are common during this seasons headlining holiday.

Today is Diwali, it’s the most visibly celebrated holiday in India, representing the victory of good over evil via an insane amounts of fireworks.

Think of it as a crossbreed between Christmas and the 4th of July. Children are showered with presents and six year old slum children recklessly light off pitakas (fireworks). Kinda like the way overpriced Halloween stores open up every October in the states, here a million different underpriced firework stores pop up around every corner.

Back in the states it would cost you 50 bucks to buy anything that flies up 200 feet, but here I purchased 10 Kaliswari Bullets for 50 rupees (roughly a buck); for under 300 rupees you can get rockets that skyrocket hundreds of feet in the air … dirt cheap.

Tonight as the sun fades, every kid that’s far too young to be lighting off sparklers will be blowing up rockets. Chaotic awesomeness, I plan on blowing up a couple packs of stray dogs, one of Raju mamas servants (he has plenty to spare) and maybe Jeet Sodhi’s roadside banana stand.

Jeet and is nana stand

Arvil, Rithlal and I just went topside to test out a couple rockets. I thought it would be a great idea to strap some Kaliswari bullets to the rockets, increasing our chances of permanent mutilation. Luckily we did not injury ourselves but seeing as the bullets did not blow up until they hit the ground a few hundred yards away, we cannot be positive that there were no casualties.

Tonight Kaku is coming over with another friend who is bringing more explosives to add to our arsenal. We plan on increasing our assets and minimizing our liabilities by having Rithlal do the igniting.
