The Sumiko Pearl is an underrated cartridge, at least here in Germany. It is a very clean sounding cartridge without sounding thin like a Denon DL-110 or being too boomy or uncontrolled in the bass. The midrange doesn’t fall short either. Someone in a forum discussion once described it as liquid sounding and I can only agree with that. You can listen to music for hours with the Sumiko Pearl without getting tired of it.
