2350 Red Pine

This 6-bedroom mountain home is a short distance from the Canyons Resort gondola, where lift-served mountain biking, hiking, discgolf and many other adventures await. The resort offers kids’ camps, Zip Line rides, a family miniature golf course and even pedal boats. Twice this summer, Sundance Insitute will host complimentary screenings of prior years’ films at the Resort Village.

Located a block from Main Street, this 4-bedroom home lets kids walk or ride their bikes to parks, shops, the Park City Library and other hangouts. Every Sunday, the Park Silly Sunday Market brings kids’ activities, food and live music to Lower Main Street for a lively scene right next to the home.

Park City Arts Festival 2011

If you’re staying at Silver Lake Accommodations on the weekend of August 5, 6 & 7, you have the opportunity to enjoy the 42nd annual Kimball Arts Festival in Park City. Artists, collectors and art lovers from around the world come here sell, buy and observe some of the best artists around the world. Last year, almost 50,000 people descended upon the city to participate in the weekend’s opportunities. This 3 day event offers a multi-sensory artistic experience for observers including visual-art exhibitions, live music performances, interactive art demonstrations, kids art area, cuisine related activities and art focused film screening.

“We’re showcasing the most talented artists in their respective fields to bring to our annual Arts Festival and raised the bar on programs like Taste of Art and Festival After Dark. As the largest three-day event in Park City during the summer, we work year-round to come up with innovative ways to create a multi-sensory experience for all of our patrons,” noted Robin Marrouche, Kimball Art Center, Executive Director.

Things to do in Park City over the summer

This time of year in Park City you often hear, “I moved to Park City for the winter but decided to stay because of the summer.” Summer is a fabulous time in Park City with cool mountain days, live music, restaurant discounts, food and wine festivals, farmers markets, gallery strolls, and much more.

This blog was created to be a resource for you. You might be a past guest of Silver Lake Accommodations, or maybe you’ve never even visited Park City. Either way, we hope that you will be inspired to come visit the beautiful mountain town of Park City.

Outdoor activities govern the life of most Parkites and visitors of Park City this time of year. People are dusting off their mountain bikes and breaking in their climbing shoes for the intense mountain sports that are offered around the area. If you’re visiting Park City, there are many places to rent bikes to take on a casual stroll around the town or more adventurous terrain in the mountains. We recommend renting bikes from Cole Sport and Jans.

If you’re wanting a more relaxed activity to enjoy this summer, I highly recommend attending a Deer Valley summer concert. Imagine this, sitting on a blanket with a picnic basket full of gourmet foods, wine glass in hand, listening to the tunes of the Eagles performed by the Utah Symphony and Opera. The Deer Valley Music Festival is an event that people from all over the nation come to enjoy, as well as locals and the folks around Salt Lake.

If concerts and outdoor activities aren’t enough, the great flavors of Park City restaurants will get anyone excited. Many Park City restaurants have summer discounts and seasonal specials. There are also a few great food events over the summer like the Food and Wine Classic, where local foods are paired with some of the best wines around the world, and Savor the Summit, where a dining table the length of Main Street gets set up featuring the best foods of the area.
