Ferrari’s most recent work of magic, the LaFerrari was recently spotted in a Maserati and Ferrari show room in Hong Kong. We can thank Icy J Photography for the “up close and personal” photos which got almost every angle of the LaFerrari sporting the classic Ferrari red.

So, the new model, named C7 is definitely better looking  that the C6  and C5. It seems a better car as well, the specs are better, the power is increased and the handling is better. So someone may ask what is wrong ?

As mentioned in the heading there’s nothing really wrong, besides the  four silly exhaust pipes at the back of the car every thing else is nice. But there’ is still a but… The bad – or should i say “but”- thing about the C7 is that is called Stingray. And that means that it must be compared to this one…

The wonderful folks over at The Drive Channel have uploaded this fantastic video that  gives insight into the newly unveiled Lamborghini Egoista. The single-seater concept is characterized by two fundamental aspects: its architecture, and the materials used. The cockpit, designed like a tailor-made suit for the driver, is a removable section which, once combined with the rest of the vehicle, creates a perfect technical, mechanical and aerodynamic unit. Not made for production but as an Homage car, it takes on a distinctly German Militaristic look. Designed by the Volkswagen Group.

Every once in a while – more so lately than ever – Ferrari goes about building some ridiculous race-going variant of one of their road-going models. They aren’t street legal but they look like they could be. They build the cars, sell them, and offer track days to go with ownership. This car is eligible for Ferrari track events all over the world.

The 599XX is the balls-to-the-wall track variant of the 599 GTB Fiorano. This version was produced for 2009 and 2010 while the Fiorano was built from 2006 through 2012. In 2011 Ferrari would up the stakes even more by offering an “Evolution” package for the 599XX. But let’s stick with what we’ve got.

And what we’ve got is the 6.0-liter V-12 with horsepower upped to 720. Ferrari threw everything they had at this car to make it faster around the track. It was faster around the Nürburgring than the Enzo and faster around Ferrari’s test track than super-Enzo: the FXX. It was about as fast as Ferrari’s Formula One lap record at the Nürburgring from the 1970s.

This car is eligible for the Evo upgrade and is a one owner car that has seen a track only once. In fact, it has been stored at the Maranello factory its entire life. It is one of only 29 built and it’s basically brand new. The brand new price for a 599XX in 2010? $1,500,000.  The pre-sale estimate? $1,000,000-$1,400,000. Many automakers talk of building driver-focused machines; for its 50th birthday, Lamborghini is taking that idea to its logical extreme through the Egoista Concept. The commemorative supercar centers on a cabin that only allows room for the driver and a bare minimum of instruments, eliminating pesky distractions such as passengers and stereos. Lamborghini isn’t exaggerating when it likens the interior to a jet fighter’s cockpit — the pilot gets a heads-up display as a matter of course, and has to climb over the car body just to crawl inside. We’d certainly like to give the narrow-purpose vehicle a spin when there’s a 600HP, 5.2-liter V10 involved, although that’s sadly unlikely. As hinted by the self-centered name, the Egoista Concept is built to let the company toot its own horn, and won’t be sold — anyone who gets a test drive will be part of a very exclusive (and likely ecstatic) club, as you might gather from the video after the break. We’ll just have to make do with an Aventador, then.

Lambo Egoista

Whatever you call it, the Lamborghini Egoista is just what it sounds like – transportation for the guy who thinks he is a superhero.  And not afraid to let everyone know.

This slick concept vehicle produced to celebrate the iconic nameplate’s Golden Anniversary was unveiled this week in Bologna at Sant’Agata Bolognese.

The me-only cockpit was allegedly inspired by the Apache helicopter, and yes it does have an ejection button (a not-so-subtle nod to 007).

I don’t know if I will be wearing a tux or a Tony Stark exoskeleton while zipping around town in this fun-rocket.

Me? Ego? Naaa-aah.

All of those later comers are shown in the video below equipped with a police siren and exposed in the famous Dubai Mall (which happens to be the biggest mall in the world) This whole supercar shopping added up to a total of around 3,5 million dollars worth of Super Police Cars. What do they need them for? NOTHING! These supercars are just used to cruise around in the city center giving a glamorous and rich image to Dubai. Dubai Police Chief said that the public’s “amazing” reaction for the Aventador police car convinced him to add further exotics to the fleet. The Dubai Police department has officially the fastest police cars squad in the world.

Lamborghini has more than one way to celebrate their birthday. First, they introduced the Lamborghini Veneno, the most powerful, most exclusive and possibly the most outrageous Lamborghini ever built.

Soon after the Veneno, we saw the Aventador LP-720-4 50 Aniversario, a limited edition Aventador with 20 more horses over the standard model as well as some minor aerodynamic tweaks. These limited edition models are great and all, but the real way to celebrate the Sant’Agata car makers somewhat insane lineage of vehicles is to line the streets of Italy with 350 Lamborghini’s, which is exactly what they did to kick off their 50th anniversary tour.

The 50th Anniversary tour runs from Milan to Rome, then back to the carmakers factory in Bolognese. Over 350 Lamborghini’s attended the tour with examples of nearly every Lamborghini ever made turning up. The amazing convoy includes Miura’s, Aventadors, Diablos, Murcielago’s and more. Even the legend himself, Lamborghini test driver Valentino Balboni, showed up in a 350 GTS Spider.

Here is a video of 50 supercars entering the M6 tollway somewhere in the UK after a charity event of some sort (does it matter?). After 30 seconds or so we get bored with many web videos, but you end up watching this one to the very end…we were completely transfixed.
