Vijay’s 50th film Sura is progressing well and the latest news we hear from the Sura camp is that the film would be released on June 22nd, 2010 to coincide with the star’s birthday. Being a landmark film in his career, Vijay is leaving no stone unturned to make the film a great success.

Sura is highly expected by Vijay’s fans as it is said that the film will have some death defying stunts choreographed by Kanal Kannan.

The film is directed by SP Rajkumar and produced by Sangili Murugan. Vijay’s on screen pair is Tamannah. Others in the star cast include Sriman and Vadivelu.

Tamannah has turned out to be the lady with the golden touch! The actress is seen playing the on screen pair with some of the best and well established actors in Kollywood. While Padikadhavan she paired opposite Dhanush, in Ayan it was Suriya. She also has two more projects in the pipeline – one with Vijay (Sura) and the other with Jayam Ravi (Thillalangadi).

With the actress steadily climbing the professional ladder, she is keener on having her profile complete with a Rajinikanth and Ajith film. Tamannah has expressed her desire to be a part of Rajinikanth’s film, as she feels that it means reaching the pinnacle.

Ilayathalapathy’s 50th film Sura has kick-started under the direction of S P Rajkumar produced by Sangili Murugan. Tamanna will play his lady lead. While Sura is progressing as planned, talks about his 51st film have already begun. There are varied speculations about the producer and director for this venture.

Meanwhile, Udaynidhi Stalin son of Deputy CM M K Stalin, in a recent interview to a vernacular magazine said that Vijay may consider doing his 51st film with him.

However, nothing is finalized as of now. It may be interesting to note that the duo had already teamed up in Kuruvi under the direction of Dharani.

Vijay’s fiftieth film Sura, directed by SP Rajakumar, was kick started some time in September and has been progressing well. The film has Tamanna playing the female lead for the first time opposite Vijay. The cast and crew are gung ho about the film as it is a landmark project in Ilayathalapathi Vijay’s career and are reportedly giving their best.

A few scenes of Sura are to be filmed at Marakkanam in Villupuram district in Tamil Nadu, including a song, we hear. There are reports that the team had erected a huge set for the purpose in this coastal area.

Here we have a good news for all you fans of our Ilaya Thalapathy! With much ado created around his 50th film’s planning, it’s heard that his ‘Sura’ will be launched on September 18th. No confusions people, Vijay’s 50th film is titled as ‘Sura’ now.

Know what’s the spanking new avatar of Vijay for his milestone film? Well… Vijay will be seen as a fisherman! Yeah you read it right. ‘Sura’ directed by Rajakumar is a story of fishermen community and their life style.

So, the complete movie will be picturised in and around Chalakudi seashore. As we all know, the white beauty Tamannah will be romancing our fisherman Vijay.

We just wonder if Vijay will be a little away from his usual cool casual makeovers.

Vijay’s 50th  film Sura is rumored as  a remake of Malayalam super star Mohanlal’s Chota Mumbai (2007), directed by Anwar Rasheed. Sura is being directed by S.P. Rajkumar and produced by Sangili Murugan, But director S.P. Rajkumar has refused to reveal anything on the film’s storyline.

Ilaya Thalapathy’s ‘Sura’ is a giant that attracted a lot of limelight even before its launch. There were a lot of stories about this Vijay starrer’s baddie and its title politics. Now a new buzz has started to make rounds!

Sources say that the storyline of the film has leaked. It’s heard that ‘Sura’ will be a replica of the Malayalam movie ‘Chotta Mumbai’, director by Anwar Rasheed. Rajkumar had altered the character of the lead role in Vijay’s style. Close circle from Sura’s campus tell that this is a known news to S.A.Chandrasekar.

‘Chotta Mumbai’ is a story set in the Fort Kochi-Mattancherry area and about a few happy go-lucky guys from the Chotta Mumbai Street who are into anything for making money. Mohanlal made another realistic and sincere performance with great comic timing on screen through this one.

Now we have to wait for ‘Sura’ to come into the market to know its value…

L’acqua ha differenti origini e funzioni: l’acqua per le abluzioni, l’acqua del pozzo di Zemzem, l’acqua delle otri dei carovanieri, l’acqua dei pozzi nelle oasi e l’acqua delle fontane e dei rubinetti. Si puo’ leggere nella Soura dei Profeti: “Gli increduli non hanno visto che i cieli e la terra formano una massa compatta? Noi le abbiamo in seguito separate e abbiamo creato, a partire dall’acqua, tutte le cose viventi. Non credono loro?“  (I Profeti, XXI, 30). A riguardo dei dogmi musulmani e tenuto conto delle forti prescrizioni sull’igiene dell’Islam, l’acqua è presente all’inizio dei riti di sacralizzazione e purificazione. In questi insiemi simbologici il più importante è forse l’acqua sacra del pozzo di Zemzem, la cui sorgente è situata nella corte di Hijr, ai piedi della Kaaba, sempre impressionante per i pellegrini che vi giungono per l’annuale momento di preghiera collettiva. Ibn Battuta (1304-1377), geografo e viaggiatore tangerino (vedi anche alla Cat.Portraits), descrive una credenza dei suoi tempi secondo la quale l’acqua di Zemzem aumenta e gonfia miracolosamente tutte le notti dal giovedi’ al venerdi’. L’istoriografia musulmana avanza l’ipotesi che l’acqua di Zemzem zampilla sotto i piedi di Ismaël, figlio di Abramo, dopo che la madre Hagar, senza acqua per il figlio e per se stessa, la trovo’ tra due colline vicine alla Kaaba, chiamate Safa e Marwa. Secondo il grande storico arabo Tabari (838-923), è Ismaël che provoco’  il miracolo: “Ismaël si mise a piangere dopo aver visto l’uso che si faceva dei bambini che si trovavano senza la loro madre, e inizio’ a pestare i piedi contro la terra, come ancora oggi fanno i bambini, e una sorgente scaturi’ sotto i suoi talloni“. Se Zemzem ha una tale importanza nel dispositivo rituale del pellegrino, è perchè questo rappresenta e simbolizza al meglio la mitologia degli antichi arabi, che accordavano all’acqua un importanza smisurata. Ricordiamo anche la potenza maestosa che occupano i quattro fiumi Kawtar, Salsabil, Eufrate e Nilo. I primi due, chiamati fiumi interiori, sono dei Paradisi. Gli altri due, chiamati fiumi esteriori, sono appunto l’Eufrate e il Nilo. L’Eufrate scorre in Irak dove, con il Tigri, forma un immenso delta sul golfo arabico-persiano. Il Nilo è un fiume immenso con i suoi 6.671 km e attraversa il Kenia, Rwanda, Burundi, Congo, Etipia, Sudan e l’Egitto per gettarsi nel Mediterraneo. Dall’antichità (Plutarco già ne parlava) sino alla costruzione della diga di Assouan da parte dei sovietici nel 1958, le sue acque sono state devastanti per l’agricoltura egiziana e per gli abitanti. Nel paradiso musulmano, immenso giardino verdeggiante, scorrono Kawtar e Salsabil, due fiumi citati nel Corano, ma scorrono anche ruscelli di latte, di vino, di miele e d’acqua: ” Ecco la descrizione del Giardino Promesso a quelli che credono nel Signore: “ Ci saranno dei fiumi dove l’acqua è incorruttibile, dei fiumi di latte dal gusto inalterabile, dei fiumi di vino, delizia per chi lo berrà, e ancora dei fiumi di miele puro. E si troveranno ogni tipo di frutto e il perdono del Signore...” (Mohammed, XLVII, 15). Infine, per quanto idilliaco sia già dalla descrizione, bisogna aggiungere evocazioni di una natura lussureggiante, di oasi, di otri piene di acqua e caraffe d’argento dove cola un vino raro e misterioso. La benedizione dispensata dall’acqua è alle volte immediata (l’acqua mantiene in vita il carovaniere  nel deserto) e alle volte purificatrice, benefattrice e rigeneratrice. L’acqua opposta al fuoco, a volte alla Terra, rappresenta la parte fredda della natura umana ma sembra che l’islam non sia sensibile a questa dimensione, privilegiando al contrario, il suo zampillio, il suo movimento e il suo dinamismo. Non simbolizza  di fatto la natura rigenerata, la potenza divina, la misericordia di Allah?. Nella Sura n-Nour, il Corano attesta chiaramente che: ” Dio ha creato tutti gli esseri viventi a partire dall’acqua” (La Luce, XXIV, 45).

The incident took place while shooting for a Tamil film Sura in Kerala. The film features Tamil star hero Vijay and Tammana in the lead.

Huge crowd gathered at the shooting spot and some people in the crowd gone wild and started misbehaving with Tammana. The cops came into action and took the situation under their control.

Vijay completed his shoot for vettaikaran and he started his 50th film today. The name of the film will be ‘Urimai Kural’ or ‘Sura’. Tamanna is roped as his arm candy. Vijay’s new look for this film his revealed today. Vettaikaran is recently bought by Sun pictures and is ready to hit screens for Diwali.

so yesterday was Sura’s birthday! she’s finally twenty like the rest of us, haha. kesian, though. all we could do was take her out for dinner; Ashura, DK, Chia Yie and myself. we took her to Pines since that’s where she wanted to go. the food wasn’t so bad, really. some guy was randomly singing 마지막 인사, which we found amusing because that was the last song we heard in the car before heading up there. then after dinner, we found this gem of a place close by. Sura got something for herself and i regretted not having brought more money because..i really wanted some stuff from there. next time!

went to Patisserie to eat the cookies and brownies i made for her the night ended later than what my mom was happy with, haha.

how much more awesome can 2NE1 get? seriously, how much more awesome? just when i thought they were the most amazing girl group around, they go and do something that just blows me away. infinitely unbelievable.

anyway, i seem to be having a huge problem with my camera. it devours batteries insatiably and it’s so annoying. i pop in fresh batteries and after five pictures, it tells me it’s running out of battery D:

on the plus side, that means i get to bust out my old polaroid (:

i know they aren’t extremely recent pictures, but whatever, yeah? haha.

so life has been pleasing and satisfying in many ways. i’m pretty happy with the way things are and i really don’t want anything more or less than what i have right now.

perfect? ouf, not even close. i’m not one to start writing about anything deep because..i don’t really like sharing things like that in this way, but i will say one thing: whatever you choose to put us through, i really couldn’t care less because we’re much stronger and better than that. if anything, i’d like to believe that we’re invincible, but that’d be absolutely silly i’m humble enough to admit that i’m merely human, ok? haha.
