In general, silly season visitors have faded away, and we’re left with quiet beaches and you can head outdoors and enjoy beautiful walks all without the chaos of summer. Traffic is non existent, parking isn’t a problem ( its even free to park in many spots during the winter) and its so easy to get out and explore. Best of all you’ll find some great deals. Here at the Watergate Bay Surf Lodge we offer affordable accommodation at just £18p.p.p.n during the winter months. There’s still a whole host of great activities on offer too – The O’Neill Surf Academy are open 12 months of the year, and they’ll even come to meet you in the morning for your lesson here at the lodge. There’s also kiting, coasteering, rocky shore exploration and many other great activities for you to take part in.

It’s also a great time for visiting if you l’ve food. There’s lots of great local eateries that serve up some of the very best seasonal menus!
