Tapi secara praktek, agak susah &#8230; karena belum gw coba sendiri <img src='http://s.wordpress.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif' alt=':D' class='wp-smiley' />  .</p>

<p><em>Kesal juga rasanya kalo mengalami bocor ban. Apalagi bagi para pengguna motor bergaya supermoto yang sudah pakai pelek tipe jari-jari lebar dan mahal. Pasti sayang kalo dibongkar, karena bikin lecet atau rusak saat dicungkil tukang tambal ban pakai obeng khusus buatannya itu.</em></p>
<p><em>Solusinya? “Gampang. Pelek itu dibikin jadi tubeless aja,” anjur Samsul, mekanik Caos Custom di Jl. Pancoran Barat No.8, Jaksel. Lho emang bisa dan kuat? “Bisa. Saya udah terapkan di beberapa motor konsumen, tetap oke!” jaminnya.</em></p>
<p><em>Cara itu selain pelek jari-jari bebas rusak saat proses penambalan, juga kalo  ban bocor gak langsung kempis. “Apalagi kalau lagi turing keluar kota, berguna sekali,” tambahnya. Oke, kita lihat aja yuk, gimana sih, si Samsul bikinnya!</em></p>
<p><em>“Pertama siapkan silicone glass sealant, berikut tempat untuk lem yang berbentuk tabung ini, pemanas khusus untuk memasang kaca film mobil dan alat untuk meratakan lem itu (gbr.1),” ungkapnya.<br />

<p><em> Barang-barang itu bisa kita tebus di material dengan harga lem sekitar Rp 35 ribu satu botol, sedang tempat lemnya Rp 15 ribu. Setelah semua siap, langsung balur lem itu ke bagian pelek secara merata (gbr.2).</em></p>

“Kalo bisa, lem sebagian dulu sekitar 15 cm lalu diratakan dengan alat yang sudah disiapkan  (gbr.3), lalu disambung lagi sampai seterusnya,” saran pria berbodi kurus ini sembari bilang, pentil khusus ban tubelessnya juga dipasang. </em></p>

<p><em>Tujuannya, tentu agar pentil juga menempel dengan kuat. Sehingga angin ban juga enggak nyeplos dari peranti itu. “Oh ya, harga pentilnya sekitar Rp 15 ribu bisa didapat di tukang tambal ban atau toko ban,” ungkapnya lagi.</em></p>
<p><em>Nah, pemakaian lem itu untuk satu pelek ukuran sekitar 3-4 ½ inci bisa menghabiskan satu setengah botol. Karena pelek ukuran lebar tersebut diameternya pun sudah terlihat besar, berarti pemakaiannya pun lumayan banyak. “Tapi buat pelek standar  sih cuma satu atau setengah botol aja,” ujarnya.</em></p>
<p><em>Berikutnya pengeringan lem, bisa dengan tenaga matahari atau lampu tembak khusus buat ngecat motor. Tapi semua itu butuh waktu lama. Makannya Samsul pakai alat pemanas kaca film khusus mobil agar keringnya merata. Waktu yang diperlukan sekitar dua jam.</em></p>
<p><em>Keringkan secara merata sampai bagian dalam pelek dengan peranti yang sudah kita siapakan tadi (gbr.4). Lalu diamkan sekitar 15 menit untuk memastikan lem benar-benar kering. “Karena kalo masih basah, anginnya bisa bocor,” wanti Samsul. </em></p>

<p><em>Kalo yakin lem sudah keras, silakan pasang ban. Isi dengan angin, lalu cermati. Apa sudah oke atau ada kebocoran. Ngetesnya, bisa direndam dalam bak berisi air. “Kalau ada gelembung udara, berarti pengeleman perlu diulang agar tak ada bocor dan sempurna,” tutup mekanik yang sudah 8 tahun kerja di Caos Custom ini sembari menambahkan, konsekuensinya karena pelek dikasih lem, otomatis akan tambah bobot.</em></p>

<p>Safe Aim Mutual Sdn Bhd (SAM), event promoter for PETRONAS AAM Malaysian Cub Prix Championship announced its provisional race calendar for 2010, featuring another 10 highly action-pack rounds beginning from March till December next year.</p>
<p><!--more-->It’s going to be one race in each month for the 2010 season. The curtain raiser leg will kick off in Alor Setar, Kedah on March 19-20, followed by Kluang, Johor on April 17-18 and move up to Batu Kawan on May 8-9. Then Sepang Circuit (North) will play host on June 12-13, Kuala Terengganu on July 9-10 and next is Kota Bharu, Kelantan on August 7-8.</p>
<p>As usual the championship will take a break during the fasting month and also Hari Raya. The race will resume on September 25-26 at Malacca. The venue for Round 8 is yet to be confirmed but it will be held on 23-24 of October. Round 9 will take place at the Sepang Circuit (South) on 20-21 November while the season finale, in Penang on December 4-5.</p>
<p>Much alike this year, the opening leg and final round for next season will be held right in the heart of the city where the population is high.</p>
<p>According to Ron Hogg, Promotions Director for SAM, the event promoter are also eyeing for new venues to add into the race calendar. “Though at the moment we have 10 venues, we are still on the lookout for new sites to organize the Malaysian Cub Prix. It will spice things up as it offers a different set of challenge for the riders and their respective teams. Not just that, even the sponsors and fans hopes to see new locations as well.”</p>
<p>“For example, this year we introduced the Malacca International Motorsports Complex (MIMC), Pekan, Alor Setar and Penang tracks which made the event more interesting and exciting,” he said.</p>
<p>When asked if more rounds will be added to the Championship, Ron clarified, “We are at the maximum amount of rounds. To add more rounds we will need more venues, a high volume of riders, teams and sponsors. Therefore for now we will not be adding more rounds to the Championship but maybe in the future we might just,” concluded Ron.</p>

<p>Penganjur Kejuaraan Cub Prix Malaysia AAM PETRONAS, Safe Aim Mutual Sdn Bhd (SAM) mengumumkan kalendar Cub Prix tahun 2010 hari ini. Bermula pada Mac hingga Disember tahun hadapan, Kejuaraan Cub Prix ini dijangka akan mengegar Malaysia dengan 10 lagi perlumbaan sengit.</p>
<p>Berdasarkan kalendar 2010, satu perlumbaan akan dianjurkan pada setiap bulan. Pusingan pembuka tirai akan berlangsung pada Mac 19-20 di Alor Setar, Kedah diikuti pusingan seterusnya di Kluang, Johor pada April 17-18 dan Pusingan 3 di Batu Kawan, Mei 8-9. Litar Antarabangsa Sepang (Utara) pula akan menjadi hos pada Jun 12-13, Kuala Terengganu pada Julai 9-10 dan Kota Bharu, Kelantan pada Ogos 7-8.</p>
<p>Seperti musim-musim sebelum ini, Kejuaraan Cub Prix akan berehat seketika bagi menyambut ketibaan bulan Ramadhan dan juga Hari Raya Aidilfitri. Perlumbaan hanya akan bermula semula di Melaka pada September 25-26. Venue Pusingan 8 masih belum ditentukan tetapi tarikhnya adalah pada Oktober 23-24. Sepang (Selatan) memainkan peranan selaku hos Pusingan 9 pada November 20-21 dan perlumbaan penutup tirai akan diadakan di Pulau Pinang pada Disember 4-5.</p>
<p>Seperti musim ini, pusingan pembuka dan penutup tirai akan diadakan di tengah pusat bandar di mana populasi penduduknya tinggi.</p>
<p>Pengarah Promosi SAM, Ron Hogg berkata SAM kini di dalam proses mencari venue baru untuk ditambah ke dalam kalendar Cub Prix. “Walaupun pada waktu ini kami mempunyai 10 litar untuk menganjurkan perlumbaan, kami masih mengintai kehadiran litar baru bagi melipat-gandakan cabaran untuk pelumba dan pasukan. Bukan itu sahaja, saya yakin penaja dan para peminat Cub Prix juga ingin melihat lebih banyak venue baru,” ujar Ron.</p>
<p>“Sebagai contoh, tahun ini kami memperkenalkan trek baru seperti Kompleks Sukan Bermotor Melaka (MIMC), Pekan, Alor Setar dan Penang. Bukan sahaja ia menarik minat penduduk di kawasan tersebut ia juga menjadikan perlumbaan lebih menarik dan mendebarkan,” tambah Ron.</p>
<p>Apabila ditanya jikalau wujud rancangan untuk menambah jumlah perlumbaan, Ron berkata, “Kami kini berada di puncak dengan 10 pusingan. Jikalau kami berhasrat untuk menambah lagi, kami memerlukan tempat baru, jumlah pelumba, pasukan dan penaja yang lebih banyak. Walau bagaimanapun, kami tetap akan mempertimbangkan kemungkinan tersebut jikalau keadaan mengizinkan,” jelas Ron.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class='snap_preview'><p>There&#8217;s a strange habit among car manufacturers lately of producing some cracking looking luxurious saloons and pitching them anywhere and everywhere but the UK. Somehow we don&#8217;t seem to figure in their plans.</p>
<p>Well, that may be about to change with Suzuki and the new Kizashi. Here in the UK the Suzuki brand tends to bring up images of low-budget 4&#215;4s and small city cars. The Kizashi, a nice big luxury saloon is currently destined for Japan and North American markets.</p>

<p>Great, but will I be able to, say, pop down the road and find this<a title="new Suzuki in Sussex" href="http://www.birchwoodgroup.co.uk/suzuki/new-cars" target="_blank"> new Suzuki in Sussex</a>? Possibly&#8230; Suzuki have said that if this car is received well enough they&#8217;ll consider dropping it here. While that sounds like a bit of a politicians promise it is, strangely, promising and would do wonders for the company&#8217;s image here.</p>
<p>When launched it will powered by a 2.4 litre DOHC inline four-cylinder engine kicking out 185 bhp. Inside and Suzuki have gone all out for luxury with a list of creature comforts longer than your arm. But, unless it comes over here I won&#8217;t break a sweat getting too concerned as to whether the stereo is iPod compatible. It probably is.</p>

<p>El equipo Rizla Suzuki ha aprovechado al máximo el tramo final de 2009 para realizar un último entrenamiento en el circuito luso de Estoril. Durante tres días Álvaro Bautista y Nobuatsu Aoki rodaron sin parar acumulando un gran número de kilómetros a sus espaldas.</p>
<p>Álvaro sumó más de 200 vueltas al circuito portugués con un ritmo que fue mejorando jornada tras jornada. Bautista consiguió rodar a un ritmo de 1&#8242;38&#8243;5, tiempo muy cercano al de los pilotos del equipo durante su actuación en el GP de Portugal. Teniendo en cuenta las bajas temperaturas y el poco agarre del asfalto, con lluvia incluída el primer día, Álvaro probó nuevas especificaciones y componentes de motor, nuevas piezas aerodinámicas y nuevos sistemas de escape Akrapovic.<br />
Para Paul Denning, manager del equipo, Álvaro ha estado &#8220;<em>impresionante a lo largo de estos tres días, completando 212 vueltas sin ningún error. Su ritmo al final del entreno ha sido muy respetable, especialmente si tenemos en cuenta que sólo habían dos Motos en pista y que las condiciones eran muy frías, sin ser tan buenas como en la carrera del mes pasado. Ha congeniado muy bien con todo el equipo y se lo está tomando con mucha calma. A los mecánicos también les cae muy bien porque sus salidas son muy largas, un mínimo de 12 vueltas, así tienen la oportunidad de descansar</em>!&#8221;</p>

<p><strong>Jakarta, 26 November 2009 -</strong> Tak gampang bagi PT Mazda Motor Indonesia (PT MMI) untuk mewujudkan target penjualan varian hatchback New Mazda2 sebesar 300 unit per bulan dan menggenggam pangsa pasar 10 persen varian ini. Selain harus menghadapi sengitnya persaingan dengan Honda Jazz, Toyota Yaris, dan Suzuki Swift yang telah mendapat tempat di masyarakat, Mazda juga harus ekstra keras mendongkrak citra mereknya.</p>
<p><!--more-->“Saya rasa cukup berat bagi New Mazda2 untuk menembus pasar hatcback dengan target 10 persen pangsa pasar. Untuk menggiring existing customer Jazz, Yaris, atau Swift untuk switching ke Mazda kecil kemungkinannya. Mereka adalah para loyalis brand produk yang mereka pakai selama ini,” tutur Suhari Sargo, pengamat otomotif, di Jakarta, Kamis (26/11)</p>
<p>Sementara, kata Suhari, untuk menggaet konsumen baru Mazda juga harus bersaing ketat dengan para pesaing itu. Padahal, citra merek mereka – baik di varian hatchback maupun lainnya– sudah begitu mapan. “Dan kualitas brand itu kan bukan saja diukur dari teknologi, model, atau kemasan lainnya dari produk. Tetapi juga pelayanan baik mulai dari pemasaran, penjualan, hingga after sales service,” terang Suhari.</p>
<p>Bila merujuk pada beberapa aspek itu, maka nama Honda, Toyota, maupun Suzuki jelas lebih mudah diingat masyarakat ketimbang Mazda. Berapa jumlah dealer, bengkel, dan penjualan suku cadang Mazda disarankan tak usah jauh-jauh di wilayah Jakarta, Depok, Tangerang dan Bekasi yang merupakan 70 – 80 persen pasar hatchback di tanah air. ”Dan faktanya, orang memang lebih mengenal nama ketiga kompetitor Mazda tersebut. Brand awareness konsumen lebih tinggi ke Honda, Toyota maupun Suzuki,” terang Suhari.</p>
<p>Harga empat varian Mazda2 yang berkisar Rp 175 &#8211; Rp 200 juta bukanlah faktor penentu keberhasilan dalam menembus persaingan.</p>

It is scheduled to take place on December 3, 2009.</p>
<p><!--more-->There will be two test sessions for the day. The first will session kick off at 10am till 1pm while the second will begin at 2pm till 5pm. The fee is fixed at RM100 per bike for one session and is open to all the Cub Prix teams and privateer riders.</p>
<p>Unlike other venues in the Cub Prix calendar where the layout is narrow, more focused on technical skills and designed to match the capacities of ‘kapcai’ machines, Sepang (South) is intended more for machines with greater abilities, power, durability and speed.</p>
<p>Therefore the set up required to master this circuit is completely different from the ones used by teams for other venues on the race calendar- hence this is why the promoter, Safe Aim Mutual Sdn Bhd (SAM) is organizing the test session.</p>
<p>Mr. Ron Hogg, Promotions Director for SAM encourages Cub Prix teams to take full advantage of the opportunity given. He says it is utmost essential to make sure each and every element of man and machine is reviewed and tested before the race because the Championship is now at its crucial and final phase.</p>

In Round 5 that was held in the month of July this season, we were racing under the scorching sun but this time around, we might be racing under a cooler environment as it is rainy season now.”</p>
<p>“Therefore, I believe the test session will not only boost the chances of bagging good results but it will also help ensure the machine set-up is in top form. Furthermore, both the Expert and Wira epg titles are still wide open and I am sure the riders who are in the running for the title chase will want to collect as many points in Sepang,” added Ron.</p>

<p>In light of my great respect for the fine art of Kaiseki, Yuki&#8217;s mom decided that she wanted to take me out for another style. That woman loves me! Frankly, I can&#8217;t blame her. At any rate, a friend of hers had recommended Ushiyama in the Meguro neighborhood of Tokyo, so we gave it a shot last night. And what a shot it was! Slam dunk!</p>

<p>It started off with a plate of carrots, shiitake, and <a href="http://www.kitazawaseed.com/seeds_mibuna.html">mibuna</a> with grated apple. Who would have thought of putting grated apple on mushrooms? Ushiyama, that&#8217;s who. I&#8217;m damn he did, it was amazing!</p>

<p>After that came a dish of four. I ate them clockwise from bottom left. Ama ebi (sweet shrimp), raw sardines with thinly sliced onion that&#8217;s been soaked in cold water to remove the sharpness, warm salted ginko nuts skewered on pine needles on top of seitan (wheat gluten) cakes on top of grilled sweet potato that was shaped like a ginko leaf, and uni in a lily blossom. No, I did not eat the maple leaf in the center of the plate nor the pine needles.</p>

<p>Next was the soup course. I heavily bonito flaked dashi broth that was nice and smokey with a rinkon (lotus root) and mochi dumpling and a bok choy leaf with some yuzu zest. It ranks right up there with the best soups I&#8217;ve ever eaten, next to the one I ate a few years ago at Iron Chef Michiba&#8217;s restaurant.</p>

<p>After the soup course was the sashimi course. It consisted of suzuki (sea bass), melt-in-your-mouth tuna, and ika (squid). It must be ika season because the ika I&#8217;ve eaten on this trip is by far the softest and sweetest I&#8217;ve ever had.</p>

<p>Then they served us home-made soba noodles in a light soy-dashi with some thinly sliced negi (green onions) on top. I&#8217;m telling you, there is absolutely nothing like top quality freshly made soba noodles. I don&#8217;t know if I can go back to store-bought dried soba when I get home. I mean, of course I can, but it just won&#8217;t be the same. So chewy and clean tasting.</p>

<p>Next up was the grilled course. Sawara (a cousin of the spanish mackerel) grilled with yuzu-miso and served with yuzu-miso konnyaku and daikon that was cut into a flower with a small slice of red pepper. I&#8217;ve never had yuzu-miso before, I&#8217;m a huge fan!</p>

<p>After that was the simmered course which was kinmedai (<a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Splendid_alfonsino">splendid alfonsino</a>) in a ginger sauce. It was served with spinach and daikon radish with <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chawanmushi">chawanmushi </a>in the middle.</p>

<p>For the fried course we got a dish with some tempura. Shishito pepper and ebi imo (a kind of yam) served in a light dashi with <a href="http://www.sushiencyclopedia.com/sushi_condiments/momiji_oroshi.html">momiji oroshi </a>and chopped chives.</p>

<p>Then came the rice and miso course. The rice was a glutinous rice with chirimenjako (baby sardines simmered in saltwater, dried in the sun, and covered in a sweet soy marinade), sliced shiso, and served on top of a cherry leaf. The miso had mizuna greens in it. There was also some lightly pickled cucumber and daikon on the side (yes Nick, I even ate the pickles!).</p>

<p>Finally, for dessert we got sweet potato mousse. It was so soft and lightly sweet, it was really more like a light sweet potato cheesecake. Served with a sweet potato chip on top.</p>
<p>This Kaiseki was Kyoto-style which is considered to be the most sophisticated and delicate of all styles. Hard to argue as the food was simply magnificent! Plus, all of that food for only $50 per person! I challenge anyone to find a deal half that good for a meal of that quality prepared with that caliber anywhere in the states. <title><![CDATA[Viewpoints, Butoh, and Further Connections]]></title>

<description><![CDATA[Happy Thanksgiving (just about)!  It has been a busy month for me since my last update, but progress]]></description>
<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class='snap_preview'><p>Happy Thanksgiving (just about)!  It has been a busy month for me since my last update, but progress is occurring in almost every aspect of my life.  The last few weeks have been an exercise in trial and error and I have learned so much.  Now I have a chance to enjoy a break, savor some rest, and contemplate what I have learned.</p>
<p>This past weekend, I attended a <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Butoh" target="_blank">Butoh</a> Workshop at <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Warren_Wilson_College" target="_blank">Warren Wilson College</a> in Swannanoa, North Carolina.  This all came about because by pure chance, while researching Butoh for my structural analysis paper, I happened to find a link to an <a href="http://www.ashevillebutoh.com/" target="_blank">Asheville-based website devoted to Butoh</a>.  The three hour workshop fit my schedule and was a drivable distance, so I decided to go for it.</p>
<p>Julie Becton Gillum, a dancer with more than 40 years of experience behind her and who had studied in Japan with the living masters of Butoh this past summer, led about thirty of us students through the workshop.  We warmed up together and &#8220;danced.&#8221; It was a wonderfully freeing experience, because instead of being locked into the vocabulary of modern dance movement, we were free to create our own vocabulary.  No movement was restricted, and thus the only barrier on our ability to physically express ourselves was our own inhibitions.</p>
<p>This removal of a set vocabulary or system of movement, and this embracing of physical freedom, kept bringing me back to the training I had received this summer in Suzuki and Viewpoints with the SITI Company.  In particular, Barney O&#8217;Hanlon&#8217;s words kept echoing through my head: <strong>&#8220;Dance is simply conscious movement.&#8221;</strong> But the remarkable thing about Butoh is (and I couldn&#8217;t have grasped this from merely reading about it, I had to experience it) there comes a point during your dance where your movement is barely conscious.  At times during the workshop, I was becoming so in-tune with listening to my body, listening to the impulses that moved me from within on a visceral and even animalistic level (instead of an intellectual one), that I began to move in ways that surprised or even shocked my own senses.  I had a new Viewpoint.</p>
<p>Perhaps that seems a bit of a contrived tie-in to my research, but I will try to argue my point: Anne Bogart&#8217;s system of Viewpoints are a way of breaking down and experiencing time and space, theatrically, within the context of the ensemble.  To achieve the level of precision and specificity, on an individual and group basis, that Viewpoints requires, you have to get out of your own way.  You have to listen, you have to embrace all possibilities, and only then can you make a choice.  The conscious movement that Barney talked about at SITI was the product of all that precision, specificity, and listening &#8211; it was a conscious choice in reaction to infinite possibilities.  And through the Butoh, I found that my choices became easier and easier to make and (based on the reactions of the Julie and others in the workshop) more and more compelling.  I achieved a state of such careful listening that my body was one step ahead of my mind, and consequently, I was free to create with an unimpeded physical imagination.</p>
<p>This is a powerful and useful tool at the disposal of the performing artist &#8211; the ability to lead with the body, to kinesthetically respond instead of intellectually.  If the body leads, the mind will follow.  Because of this, my experience with Butoh has been phenomenally helpful in not only improving my acting and my appreciation for dance and movement, but also in my understanding of the efficacy of Viewpoints in building a dynamic and compelling ensemble of actors!</p>

Seconda vittoria stagionale per lui e 2009 che va in cantiere non senza colpi di scena. Daniel <strong>Pedrosa </strong>vince il GP della Comunità Valenciana davanti a Valentino <strong>Rossi </strong>e a Jorge <strong>Lorenzo</strong>.<br />
E&#8217; la seconda vittoria stagionale per lui sopo il successo di Laguna Seca; vittoria sicuramente resa più semplice dal grossolano errore di Casey <strong>Stoner </strong>nel giro di allineamento, nel quale ha esagerato con il gas a gomme fredde, cadendo e dicendo addio ai sogni di (probabilissima) vittoria.</span></span></p>
<p style="margin-bottom:0;"><span style="font-family:Verdana, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size:x-small;">Durante le qualifiche Stoner aveva messo in riga tutti e tutti si aspettavano che anche in gara Casey potesse fare un altro sport; dopo la <strong>caduta </strong>nel warm up lap però la vittoria è tornata in gioco e Pedrosa è stato il più lesto di tutti nell&#8217;approfittare di ciò.<br />
In partenza Dani non si fa pregare e parte a fionda mentre Rossi e Lorenzo vengono sopravanzati da <strong>Elias</strong>; i due yamahisti impiegano un paio di giri nel risorpassarlo ma intanto Pedrosa è già scappato.<br />
Il suo ritmo è insostenibile sia per Rossi che per <strong>Lorenzo </strong>il quale, dopo un rischio in uscita di curva, salta sulla moto e sbatte violentemente sul serbatoio andando per un attimo in confusione.<br />
Una volta passato il male Jorge riprende il ritmo e si riavvicina a <strong>Rossi </strong>ma Valentino riesce a rispondere e a garantirsi cosi la seconda posizione.</span></span></p>
<p style="margin-bottom:0;"><span style="font-family:Verdana, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size:x-small;">Dietro a Pedrosa Rossi e Lorenzo la gara ha visto un paio di lotte interessanti; la prima quella tra <strong>Edwards</strong> e <strong>Hayden </strong>per la quarta posizione e la seconda la risalita nel gruppo di Ben <strong>Spies</strong>, Campione del Mondo Superbike qui a bordo della Yamaha M1.<br />
Edwards per concludere in campionato davanti a <strong>Dovizioso </strong>doveva assolutamente raccogliere un risultato di rilievo e proprio come ha detto lui &#8220;arrivare primo degli umani&#8221;; Hayden nonostante ami Valencia non è riuscito a tenere il passo di Colin ma ha comunque corso una buona gara giungendo quinto precedendo Toni Elias, disoccupato di lusso per il 2010.<br />
<strong>Spies </strong>invece, dopo il nono posto in griglia, è partito cauto, prendendo il ritmo a mano a mano che i giri passavano e le lotte con i colleghi si facevano sempre più intense.<br />
E&#8217; riuscito a sopravanzare piloti vecchi e nuovi, fino a riprendere e a fulminare con una bellissima staccata Dovizioso, conquistando cosi la settima piazza finale.<br />
La sensazione è che ci troviamo di fronte ad un grande pilota, uno di quelli che nel 2010 dirà la sua nella lotta per il podio in svariate occasioni, anche se per pensare di infilarsi fra i <strong>fantastici quattro</strong> forse è ancora un pò presto.</span></span></p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class='snap_preview'><p>My brother Jay got some new tyres (Pilot Powers) and some new brake rotors from the USA, I picked up his GSXR1000 and dropped off my CBR1000RR to our mate Garths workshop as both bikes were being serviced one after the other. The new brakes look great, they look huge in RL, It will be good to see what Jay thinks at his next track day at Eastern Creek on the 12/12/09, with a service, new brake rotors, steering head bearings and fresh tyres.</p>
<p>My bike has gone in for a &#8216;major&#8217; service (24000k) and some new front brake pads. I can&#8217;t wait to have it back all serviced  and shit. I still have good tyres on so I can&#8217;t wait for a burn up putty road</p>

seorang anak yg pada usia 9 tahun telah mendirikan Enviromental<br />
Children&#8217;s Organization ( ECO ).</p>
<p>ECO sendiri adalah sebuah kelompok kecil anak yg mendedikasikan diri<br />
untuk belajar dan mengajarkan pada anak&#8221; lain mengenai masalah<br />
lingkungan.</p>
<p>&#160;</p>
<p>Dan mereka pun diundang menghadiri Konfrensi Lingkungan hidup PBB,<br />
dimana pada saat itu Severn yg berusia 12 Tahun memberikan sebuah<br />
pidato kuat yg memberikan pengaruh besar ( dan membungkam ) beberapa<br />
pemimpin dunia terkemuka.</p>
<p>Apa yg disampaikan oleh seorang anak kecil ber-usia 12 tahun hingga<br />
bisa membuat RUANG SIDANG PBB hening, lalu saat pidatonya selesai<br />
ruang sidang penuh dengan orang terkemuka yg berdiri dan memberikan<br />
tepuk tangan yg meriah kepada anak berusia 12 tahun.</p>

<p>Halo, nama Saya Severn Suzuki, berbicara mewakili E.C.O &#8211; Enviromental<br />
Children Organization<br />
Kami adalah kelompok dari Kanada yg terdiri dari anak-anak berusia 12<br />
dan 13 tahun, yang mencoba membuat perbedaan: Vanessa Suttie, Morga,<br />
Geister, Michelle Quiq dan saya sendiri. Kami menggalang dana untuk<br />
bisa datang kesini sejauh 6000 mil untuk memberitahukan pada anda<br />
sekalian orang dewasa bahwa anda harus mengubah cara anda, hari ini di<br />
sini juga. Saya tidak memiliki agenda tersembunyi. Saya menginginkan<br />
masa depan bagi diri saya saja.</p>
<p>Kehilangan masa depan tidaklah sama seperti kalah dalam pemilihan umum<br />
atau rugi dalam pasar saham. Saya berada disini untuk berbicara bagi<br />
semua generasi yg akan datang.</p>
<p>Saya berada disini mewakili anak-anak yg kelaparan di seluruh dunia<br />
yang tangisannya tidak lagi terdengar.</p>
<p>Saya berada disini untuk berbicara bagi binatang-binatang yang sekarat<br />
yang tidak terhitung jumlahnya diseluruh planet ini karena kehilangan<br />
habitatnya. Kami tidak boleh tidak di dengar.</p>
<p>Saya merasa takut untuk berada dibawah sinar matahari karena<br />
berlubangnya lapisan OZON. Saya merasa takut untuk bernafas karena<br />
saya tidak tahu ada bahan kimia apa yg dibawa oleh udara.</p>
<p>Saya sering memancing di Vancouver bersama ayah saya hingga beberapa<br />
tahun yang lalu kami menemukan bahwa ikan-ikannya penuh dengan kanker.<br />
Dan sekarang kami mendengar bahwa binatang-binatang dan tumbuhan satu<br />
persatu mengalami kepunahan tiap harinya &#8211; hilang selamanya.</p>
<p>Dalam hidup saya, saya memiliki mimpi untuk melihat kumpulan besar<br />
binatang-binatang liar, hutan rimba dan hutan tropis yang penuh dengan<br />
burung dan kupu-kupu. Tetapi sekarang saya tidak tahu apakah hal-hal<br />
tersebut bahkan masih ada untuk dilihat oleh anak saya nantinya.</p>
<p>Apakah anda sekalian harus khawatir terhadap masalah-masalah kecil ini<br />
ketika anda sekalian masih berusia sama serperti saya sekarang?</p>
<p>Semua ini terjadi di hadapan kita dan walaupun begitu kita masih tetap<br />
bersikap bagaikan kita masih memiliki banyak waktu dan semua<br />
pemecahannya. Saya hanyalah seorang anak kecil dan saya tidak memiliki<br />
semua pemecahannya. Tetapi saya ingin anda sekalian menyadari bahwa<br />
anda sekalian juga sama seperti saya!</p>
<p>Anda tidak tahu bagaimana caranya memperbaiki lubang pada lapisan ozon kita.<br />
Anda tidak tahu bagaiman cara mengembalikan ikan-ikan salmon ke sungai<br />
asalnya.<br />
Anda tidak tahu bagaimana caranya mengembalikan binatang-binatang yang<br />
telah punah.</p>
<p>Dan anda tidak dapat mengembalikan hutan-hutan seperti sediakala di<br />
tempatnya, yang sekarang hanya berupa padang pasir. Jika anda tidak<br />
tahu bagaima cara memperbaikinya. TOLONG BERHENTI MERUSAKNYA!</p>
<p>Disini anda adalah delegasi negara-negara anda. Pengusaha, anggota<br />
perhimpunan, wartawan atau politisi &#8211; tetapi sebenarnya anda adalah<br />
ayah dan ibu, saudara laki-laki dan saudara perempuan, paman dan bibi<br />
- dan anda semua adalah anak dari seseorang.</p>
<p>Saya hanyalah seorang anak kecil, namun saya tahu bahwa kita semua<br />
adalah bagian dari sebuah keluarga besar, yang beranggotakan lebih<br />
dari 5 milyar, terdiri dari 30 juta rumpun dan kita semua berbagi<br />
udara, air dan tanah di planet yang sama &#8211; perbatasan dan pemerintahan<br />
tidak akan mengubah hal tersebut.</p>
<p>Saya hanyalah seorang anak kecil namun begitu saya tahu bahwa kita<br />
semua menghadapi permasalahan yang sama dan kita seharusnya bersatu<br />
untuk tujuan yang sama.</p>
<p>Walaupun marah, namun saya tidak buta, dan walaupun takut, saya tidak<br />
ragu untuk memberitahukan dunia apa yang saya rasakan.</p>
<p>Di negara saya, kami sangat banyak melakukan penyia-nyiaan. Kami<br />
membeli sesuatu dan kemudian membuang nya, beli dan kemudian buang.<br />
Walaupun begitu tetap saja negara-negara di Utara tidak akan berbagi<br />
dengan mereka yang memerlukan.<br />
Bahkan ketika kita memiliki lebih dari cukup, kita merasa takut untuk<br />
kehilangan sebagian kekayaan kita, kita takut untuk berbagi.</p>
<p>Di Kanada kami memiliki kehidupan yang nyaman, dengan sandang, pangan<br />
dan papan yang berkecukupan &#8211; kami memiliki jam tangan, sepeda,<br />
komputer dan perlengkapan televisi.</p>
<p>Dua hari yang lalu di Brazil sini, kami terkejut ketika kami<br />
menghabiskan waktu dengan anak-anak yang hidup di jalanan. Dan salah<br />
satu anak tersebut memberitahukan kepada kami: &#8221; Aku berharap aku<br />
kaya, dan jika aku kaya, aku akan memberikan anak-anak jalanan<br />
makanan, pakaian dan obat-obatan, tempat tinggal, cinta dan kasih<br />
sayang &#8221; .</p>
<p>Jika seorang anak yang berada dijalanan dan tidak memiliki apapun,<br />
bersedia untuk berbagi, mengapa kita yang memiliki segalanya masih<br />
begitu serakah?</p>
<p>Saya tidak dapat berhenti memikirkan bahwa anak-anak tersebut berusia<br />
sama dengan saya, bahwa tempat kelahiran anda dapat membuat perbedaan<br />
yang begitu besar, bahwa saya bisa saja menjadi salah satu dari<br />
anak-anak yang hidup di Favellas di Rio; saya bisa saja menjadi anak<br />
yang kelaparan di Somalia ; seorang korban perang timur tengah atau<br />
pengemis di India .</p>
<p>Saya hanyalah seorang anak kecil, namun saya tahu bahwa jika semua<br />
uang yang dihabiskan untuk perang dipakai untuk mengurangi tingkat<br />
kemiskinan dan menemukan jawaban terhadap permasalahan alam, betapa<br />
indah jadinya dunia ini.</p>
<p>Di sekolah, bahkan di taman kanak-kanak, anda mengajarkan kami untuk<br />
berbuat baik. Anda mengajarkan pada kami untuk tidak berkelahi dengan<br />
orang lain, untuk mencari jalan keluar, membereskan kekacauan yang<br />
kita timbulkan; untuk tidak menyakiti makhluk hidup lain, untuk<br />
berbagi dan tidak tamak. Lalu mengapa anda kemudian melakukan hal yang<br />
anda ajarkan pada kami supaya tidak boleh dilakukan tersebut?</p>
<p>Jangan lupakan mengapa anda menghadiri konperensi ini, mengapa anda<br />
melakukan hal ini &#8211; kami adalah anak-anak anda semua. Anda sekalianlah<br />
yang memutuskan, dunia seperti apa yang akan kami tinggali. Orang tua<br />
seharus nya dapat memberikan kenyamanan pada anak-anak mereka dengan<br />
mengatakan, &#8221; Semuanya akan baik-baik saja , &#8216;kami melakukan yang<br />
terbaik yang dapat kami lakukan dan ini bukanlah akhir dari<br />
segalanya.&#8221;</p>
<p>Tetapi saya tidak merasa bahwa anda dapat mengatakan hal tersebut<br />
kepada kami lagi. Apakah kami bahkan ada dalam daftar prioritas anda<br />
semua? Ayah saya selalu berkata, &#8220;Kamu akan selalu dikenang karena<br />
perbuatanmu, bukan oleh kata-katamu&#8221; .</p>
<p>Jadi, apa yang anda lakukan membuat saya menangis pada malam hari.<br />
Kalian orang dewasa berkata bahwa kalian menyayangi kami. Saya<br />
menantang A N D A , cobalah untuk mewujudkan kata-kata tersebut.</p>
<p>Sekian dan terima kasih atas perhatiannya.<br />

<p>Servern Cullis-Suzuki telah membungkam satu ruang sidang Konperensi<br />
PBB, membungkam seluruh orang-orang penting dari seluruh dunia hanya<br />
dengan pidatonya. Setelah pidatonya selesai serempak seluruh orang<br />
yang hadir diruang pidato tersebut berdiri dan memberikan tepuk tangan<br />
yang meriah kepada anak berusia 12 tahun itu.</p>
<p>Dan setelah itu, ketua PBB mengatakan dalam pidatonya:</p>
<p>&#8221; Hari ini saya merasa sangatlah malu terhadap diri saya sendiri<br />
karena saya baru saja disadarkan betapa pentingnya linkungan dan<br />
isinya disekitar kita oleh anak yang hanya berusia 12 tahun, yang maju<br />
berdiri di mimbar ini tanpa selembarpun naskah untuk berpidato.<br />
Sedangkan saya maju membawa berlembar naskah yang telah dibuat oleh<br />
asisten saya kemarin. Saya &#8230; tidak kita semua dikalahkan oleh anak<br />
yang berusia 12 tahun &#8220;</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class='snap_preview'><p>Pada tahun 2010, Suzuki akan merayakan 25 tahun memproduksi seri GSX-R dan telah membuat<strong><span style="color:#ffcc00;"> edisi terbatas GSX-R1000 </span></strong>untuk acara ini. Disebut <span style="color:#ffcc00;"><strong>Suzuki GSX-R1000Z</strong></span>, edisi ulang tahun hanya akan menampilkan perbedaan kosmetik dibandingkan dengan standar GSX-R1000 K9 atau model K10 (mekanik tidak ada perbedaan antara dua model tahun lagi).</p>
<p><strong><span style="color:#ffcc00;">Hanya 1000 sepeda akan dibuat </span></strong>dan fitur emas atau krem bingkai, swingarm dan bagian-bagian hadiah dominan dikombinasikan dengan warna putih mutiara sebagai kado di perayaannya.</p>

<p><strong>Singapura, 23 November 2009 -</strong> Kualitas awal secara keseluruhan kendaraan baru di Indonesia telah meningkat dari tahun 2008, menurut J.D. Power Asia Pacific 2009 Indonesia Initial Quality Study SM (IQS) yang diumumkan Senin (23/11) kemarin.</p>
<p><!--more-->Studi yang berada pada tahun ketujuhnya ini menganalisa kualitas kendaraan baru dalam masa dua sampai enam bulan kepemilikan. Studi ini mengukur lebih dari 200 gejala masalah yang mencakup delapan kategori kendaraan: eksterior kendaraan; pengalaman berkendara; fitur, kontrol dan tampilan; audio, sistem hiburan dan sistem navigasi; tempat duduk; ventilasi dan pendingin (HVAC); interior kendaraan; dan mesin/transmisi. Masalah-masalah yang dilaporkan dirangkum dalam jumlah masalah per 100 kendaraan (PP100). Nilai PP100 yang lebih rendah mengindikasikan jumlah masalah yang lebih sedikit dan kualitas yang lebih tinggi.</p>
<p>Kualitas awal secara keseluruhan di Indonesia rata-rata 122 PP100 di tahun 2009, membaik 17 PP100 dari 2008. Diantara delapan kategori kendaraan yang dianalisa, jumlah masalah telah berkurang dalam enam kategori: eksterior kendaraan; pengalaman berkendara; audio, sistem hiburan dan sistem navigasi; tempat duduk; HVAC; dan interior kendaraan.</p>
<p>Hampir sepertiga (31%) dari seluruh masalah kualitas awal yang dilaporkan oleh pelanggan di Indonesia terkait dengan mesin atau transmisi kendaraan. Untuk tiga tahun berturut-turut, sulitnya memindahkan gigi adalah masalah yang paling sering dilaporkan oleh pelanggan.</p>
<p>Studi ini mengungkapkan bahwa 44 persen dari pelanggan yang melaporkan tidak mengalami masalah kualitas awal menyatakan &#8220;pasti akan&#8221; merekomendasikan model kendaraan mereka ke teman dan keluarga. Diantara pelanggan yang mengalami tiga masalah atau lebih dengan kendaraan mereka, hanya 27 persen mengatakan hal yang sama. Tingkat kecenderungan untuk merekomendasikan merek juga mengikuti pola yang serupa.</p>
<p>Studi ini juga menemukan bahwa 69 persen dari pelanggan mengatakan mereka menanyakan informasi merek dan model kendaraan kepada teman dan keluarga saat memilih kendaraan untuk dibeli.</p>
<p>&#8220;Mencapai tingkat kualitas awal yang tinggi dapat membantu pabrik kendaraan meraih kepercayaan pelanggan, yang bisa membuat produk mereka semakin diterima di pasaran,&#8221; menurut Rajeev Nair, senior manager J.D. Power Asia Pacific, Singapura. &#8220;Ini dapat memelihara kesetiaan pelanggan terhadap suatu merek dan juga mendatangkan pelanggan-pelanggan baru ke dealer melalui rekomendasi yang positif.&#8221;</p>
<p>Studi ini mencakup masalah yang dialami pemilik kendaraan dalam tiga kategori yang berbeda: masalah disain, kecacatan dan kerusakan, dan masalah lainnya. Lebih dari tiga dalam lima masalah-masalah yang dilaporkan pada studi tahun 2009 ini masuk dalam kategori kecacatan/kerusakan, dan hampir satu dalam empat berkaitan dengan masalah disain.</p>
<p>&#8220;Kegagalan disain dan kecacatan manufaktur berdampak sangat negatif pada persepsi pemilik terhadap kualitas keseluruhan kendaraan mereka,&#8221; kata Nair. &#8220;Pengertian atas masalah yang dilaporkan pelanggan dalam dua area tersebut dan mengurangi jumlah masalah dapat membantu suatu merek untuk unggul dari para kompetitor.&#8221;</p>
<p><strong>Hasil yang Dicapai Model Berdasarkan Segmen</strong></p>
<p><strong>Suzuki SX4</strong> meraih peringkat teratas untuk segmen premium compact car dengan nilai 72 PP100, diikuti oleh Toyota Yaris (85 PP100) dan Honda Jazz (87 PP100).</p>

<p><strong>Toyota Rush</strong> meraih peringkat tertinggi di segmen entry SUV untuk tiga tahun berturut-turut dengan nilai 103 PP100. Isuzu Panther (126 PP100) dan Daihatsu Terios (143 PP100) mengikuti dalam peringkat segmen ini.</p>

<p>Dengan nilai 60 PP100, <strong>Toyota Fortuner</strong> meraih peringkat tertinggi di segmen SUV. Model tersebut dibuntuti oleh Nissan X-Trail (74 PP100) dan Honda CR-V (115 PP100) dalam segmen SUV.</p>

<p>2009 Indonesia Initial Quality Study berdasarkan respon yang diberikan 2.034 pemilik kendaraan baru yang membeli kendaraan mereka antara Oktober 2008 dan Juli 2009. Studi ini mengevaluasi 33 model kendaraan penumpang dan utility vehicle dari sembilan merek kendaraan di Indonesia.</p>
<p>Indonesia Initial Quality Study adalah satu dari tiga studi yang berbasis konsumen yang dilaksanakan J.D. Power Asia Pacific di Indonesia. 2009 Indonesia Customer Service Index (CSI) Study, yang mengukur kepuasan pelanggan terhadap layanan purna jual, telah diumumkan pada bulan Juli 2009. 2009 Indonesia Sales Satisfaction Index (SSI)</p>

<description><![CDATA[Henry had his first recital this past Saturday. He&#8217;s still not actually playing his violin, so]]></description>
<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class='snap_preview'><p>Henry had his first recital this past Saturday.  He&#8217;s still not actually <em>playing</em> his violin, so he sang a song about the correct rest position to the tune of Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star.  In fact, Henry led off the concert.  He&#8217;s so self-possessed, he didn&#8217;t seem nervous at all as he sat in front of me waiting through the announcements until it was time for him to climb the stairs to the stage.  As he started singing, he flushed deep red (sorry about those genes, kid!) so I know he was aware that it was a momentous occasion, but he did such a great job.  My dad had asked Henry to make sure to sing loud so that he could hear him, and he did!  Loud, in tune, with confidence&#8230;it was maybe the most wondrous thing I have ever heard.  In fact, I&#8217;m bawling just writing about it, so you can imagine the Niagara Falls that occurred on the day.  I couldn&#8217;t have been prouder or more delighted for him.</p>

<p>Here&#8217;s the weird thing though &#8211; I choked up as each kid performed.  The girl that graduated her book and got a certificate.  The kid that had to restart &#8220;Go Tell Aunt Rhody.&#8221;  The boy on the cello who played a Breval piece that I still remember from my Suzuki days.  Each performer caused a fresh wave of tears.  And why shouldn&#8217;t I cry?  Music itself is so inherently moving, and for these young kids &#8211; Henry&#8217;s only four, for pete&#8217;s sake &#8211; to get up on stage in front of a full audience, even a a supportive one, is so brave and beautiful&#8230;well, let&#8217;s just say I was not the only one dripping salt-water all over the place.</p>

<description><![CDATA[The recession is technically over and before long, companies might actually start frakkin&#8217; hir]]></description>
<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class='snap_preview'><p>The recession is technically over and before long, companies might actually start frakkin&#8217; <em>hiring</em> people for <em>jobs</em> again&#8230;that is, if this isn&#8217;t just a financial bubble prefacing a <em>double-dip</em> recession. Naked short-selling aside, the auto industry is reaching into the future with great abandon, apparently unconcerned enough with the shakiness of the recovery to pump out some new, interesting, and in some cases, downright <em>spellbinding</em> new cars, trucks, and what-have-you. There will be new marques to choose from, as well as new forms of power. Here are fifteen such vehicles I&#8217;ve selected that I&#8217;m looking forward to. Complications notwithstanding, all of these should be on the road in the next year or two, if they aren&#8217;t already.</p>
<p><strong><a href="http://arapacis.wordpress.com/files/2009/11/regal.jpg"><img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-742" title="regal" src="http://arapacis.wordpress.com/files/2009/11/regal.jpg" alt="" width="200" height="115" /></a>1. Buick Regal -</strong> An old name gets slapped on a new, very German car that is gorgeous and may actually be fun to drive as well. Moreover, it apparently will be powered exclusively by four-bangers. Not only is a high-performance version possible, we <em>may</em> (fingers-crossed) even get a <em>wagon</em> version, which would be awesome and hilarious at the same time: Buick wants younger buyers, so is a relatively big FWD wagon the way to go? For me, maybe.</p>
<p><strong> </strong></p>
<p><strong><a href="http://arapacis.wordpress.com/files/2009/11/ctsc.jpg"><img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-743" title="ctsc" src="http://arapacis.wordpress.com/files/2009/11/ctsc.jpg" alt="" width="200" height="93" /></a>2. Cadillac CTS Coupe -</strong> The latest and perhaps best iteration yet of 21st Century Cadillac zaniness. Art + Science Fiction. And the first hard-roof coupe from Caddy in seventeen years. It looks like nothing else on the road and has that same concept car aura of the new Camaro. Because its a bit smaller than the sedan, it should be faster too&#8230;which brings me to the V-series version, which is also coming.</p>
<p><strong><a href="http://arapacis.wordpress.com/files/2009/11/cruze.jpg"><img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-744" title="cruze" src="http://arapacis.wordpress.com/files/2009/11/cruze.jpg" alt="" width="200" height="112" /></a>3. Chevy Cruze -</strong> Chevy wants a &#8220;flawless&#8221; unveiling for the replacement for the boring Cobalt and its clone, the Pontiac G5. Looks to get 40+mpg on the highway. GM going small and Direct Injection with engines. Forget the Volt, this thing is important. If Chevy can&#8217;t steal some sales away from the Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla with this, all is for naught.</p>

Ferrari 458 Italia &#8211; </strong>A new Ferrari is like a new American fighter jet &#8211; really expensive, unobtainable, and almost pointless even &#8211; the F450 hasn&#8217;t aged a day &#8211; but nevertheless more than welcome. It looks and sounds the business, and with tons of F1 tech in it, it will most certainly <em>drive </em>the business too.</p>

Ford Fiesta -</strong> It&#8217;s coming. How much different it will look from the European one isn&#8217;t known, but Ford has been without a small car since the Kia-based Aspire, which was pathetic. The Fiesta hopefully begins a trend of &#8220;cheap but not rubbish&#8221; small cars by American carmakers (unlike the awful Chevy Aveo, the only subcompact <em>any</em> of the Detroit 3 currently sell.)</p>

Fiat 500 -</strong> Fiat Group bought Chrysler, which is awesome because it means Italian cars that don&#8217;t cost six figures will again be sold here soon. In Europe, the 500 is extremely popular, and also re-skinned as a Ford Ka, but in America the Nuovo Topolino will be sold at Chrysler dealerships, giving that sinking ship a badly-needed small car. It should sell well to people who want a car that&#8217;s cheaper and cuter than a MINI and fresher and more fun than the aged VW New Beetle. Also, it&#8217;s Italian. &#8216;Nuff said.</p>
<p><strong><a href="http://arapacis.wordpress.com/files/2009/11/lfa.jpg"><img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-748" title="lfa" src="http://arapacis.wordpress.com/files/2009/11/lfa.jpg" alt="" width="200" height="71" /></a>7. Lexus LFA -</strong> The most interesting Lexus ever. Not saying much, but the amount of labor and attention to detail that went into this taut driving machine cannot be overlooked. Neither can the $375,000+ price tag. Lexus will still lose money on every one they sell. One of only two radial carbon fiber looms in the world weave the A-pillars together. A manically-anal-retentive gearhead&#8217;s wet dream, this.</p>
<p><strong><a href="http://arapacis.wordpress.com/files/2009/11/mahin.jpg"><img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-749" title="mahin" src="http://arapacis.wordpress.com/files/2009/11/mahin.jpg" alt="" width="200" height="123" /></a>8. Mahindra Pickup -</strong> This awkward, dowdy pickup will likely beat the Tata Nano as the first Indian vehicle sold in America. It runs on diesel engines, which I love, and is tough, durable, and no-nonsense (well, except the optional chrome grille.) It should also be cheap. Hopefully the government will permit their sale, because they can do the same farm and labor jobs as much larger American pickups but are far more fuel efficient and take up less space.</p>

Mitsubishi Outlander -</strong> If there was a Comeback Crossover of the Year category, Outlander would win it hands down. While its European cousins the Peugeot 4008 and Citroen C-Crosser were brought to market with bold, in-your-face looks, The Mitsu was plainer than white bread, and more forgettable too. That ends immediately with a menacing new face with an Evo-inspired grille, more power, upscale-r interior, and very untrucklike road manners. In other words, it&#8217;s better in every way.</p>
<p><strong><a href="http://arapacis.wordpress.com/files/2009/11/leaf.jpg"><img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-751" title="leaf" src="http://arapacis.wordpress.com/files/2009/11/leaf.jpg" alt="" width="200" height="127" /></a>10. Nissan LEAF -</strong> Though being heralded with far less pomp and circumstance than Chevy&#8217;s $40,000, four-seat Volt, Nissan&#8217;s electric car for everyone will likely beat it to dealers. It also aims to be cheaper and more practical. But yes, it does somewhat resemble a parrotfish.</p>

Saab 9-5 -</strong> The first all-new Saab seemingly ever, the new 9-5 flagship will go on sale when new sort-of owner Koenigsegg, figures out exactly how they&#8217;re going to make it. While there&#8217;s nothing groundbreaking here, the new 9-5 marks a return to more of that Saab quirkiness that was mostly lost during GM rule, when marketers thought comparing a TrailBlazer clone to a fighter jet would make people want to buy the 9-7x.</p>
<p><strong><a href="http://arapacis.wordpress.com/files/2009/11/iq.jpg"><img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-753" title="iq" src="http://arapacis.wordpress.com/files/2009/11/iq.jpg" alt="" width="150" height="91" /></a>12. Scion iQ -</strong> While not a 100% sure thing, it is likely Toyota&#8217;s teeny-tiny iQ will come to America as a Scion, since they&#8217;d prefer young, hip people buy it than the average Toyota customer, who is about 75. While perhaps not as miniscule as a Smart, the iQ is better packaged, has at least one back seat, doesn&#8217;t look as stupid, carries Toyota&#8217;s vaunted reputation for quality along with it, and won&#8217;t be quite as overpriced. Hopefully its axles won&#8217;t rust away after three years!</p>
<p><strong><a href="http://arapacis.wordpress.com/files/2009/11/kisashi.jpg"><img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-754" title="kisashi" src="http://arapacis.wordpress.com/files/2009/11/kisashi.jpg" alt="" width="200" height="106" /></a>13. Suzuki Kisashi &#8211; </strong>Suzuki&#8217;s had a bit of a raw deal in the U.S. as purveyors of stretched Equinox clones and dull-as-paste, chintzy Daewoos. The homebuilt SX4 shook things up, being the cheapest AWD car as well as the cheapest with satnav standard. They take it up a notchwith the very Japanesey Kisashi, a smart, Jetta-sized sedan that bucks the more-is-more trend and goes instead for driver involvement and all-around quality. Suzuki&#8217;s marketing sucks, but hopefully this will sell well, because it looks to be a fine car and a bargain to boot.</p>
<p><strong><a href="http://arapacis.wordpress.com/files/2009/11/ft86.jpg"><img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-755" title="ft86" src="http://arapacis.wordpress.com/files/2009/11/ft86.jpg" alt="" width="200" height="87" /></a>14. Toyota/Subaru Compact Sports Coupe -</strong> Pretty much nobody needs a sporty coupe more than Toyota, except for maybe Subaru, so the two decided to save some time and develop one jointly. I&#8217;m looking forward to their final results. So far we&#8217;ve only seen the Toyota version in concept form (and monkey-butt red metallic paint.) The Subaru will likely be larger and of course feature standard AWD. The last Subaru coupe was the epic-but-pricey SVX, while Toyota&#8217;s Celica died a slow death. Here&#8217;s hoping they have better luck with what will be far superior machines.</p>
<p><strong><a href="http://arapacis.wordpress.com/files/2009/11/tdi.jpg"><img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-756" title="tdi" src="http://arapacis.wordpress.com/files/2009/11/tdi.jpg" alt="" width="200" height="122" /></a>15. VW Golf TDI -</strong> What was the Rabbit became the Golf then the Rabbit again and now the Golf again. Golf Mark VI is more refined and mature Golf ever, and so is the TDI&#8217;s diesel engine. Not only that, the TDI is fun. Fun to dart around in. Which means even if you have to drive a little further to find a diesel pump, you&#8217;ll be grateful. And it gets 30 mpg in the city and 40 mpg on the highway.</p>
