Soi Fon est la capitaine de la 2ème division, une unité d’assassin que commandait autrefois Yoruichi. Froide et détachée, elle n’accorde que peu d’importance à la vie de ses subordonnés, surtout à celle de son vice-capitaine, Oomaeda. C’est dire ce qu’elle réserve à ses ennemis. Petite et agile, sa rapidité est grande, élément essentiel pour des attaques éclaires.

On apprend lors de l’épisode de la Soul Society que Soi Fon n’a pas toujours été si froide. Elle était plus calme, souriante et douce. La traitrise de Yoruichi a modifié radicalement son caractère. Soi aimait énormément Yoruichi (et réciproquement), qu’elle considérait comme une déesse (avec un fond d’amour). Mais quand elle fut chassée de la Soul Society pour avoir aidée Kisuke Urahara à s’échapper, elle partit sans prévenir sa protégée. Soi Fon lui en voudra à mort de l’avoir abandonnée. Elle aurait souhaité partir avec elle plus que tout. Elle s’est donc forgée une carapace mais est bien plus fragile qu’on ne le pense.

Son zanpakuto maintenant. Il lui correspond parfaitement. Il se nomme Suzumebachi (“Guêpe” ou “Frelon”). Quand elle prononce “Jinteki shakusetsu“, il se transforme en une sorte de dard sur son majeur.

Shikai: L’une de ses attaques consiste à frapper son ennemi au même point et ainsi provoquer la mort à coup sûr, le Houmonka. Le premier coup fait apparaitre un papillon et le deuxième “transforme” l’adversaire en papillon (=mort).

Bankai: il est totalement différent puisqu son dard se transforme en une sorte de bazouka, Jakuhou Raikouben (“Dard foudroyant de la guêpe”). Elle-même n’aime pas trop cette forme car elle ne colle pas avec sa personnalité et son unité d’assassins.

Personnage complexe, Soi Fon est l’une de mes préférées mais on ne la voit que très peu. Récemment, elle est repassé à l’attaque face à l’Espada n°2, Barragan.

Először is, keressünk egy tucat képet, hogy hogyan is néz ki az eredeti minta, amit követni kívánunk. (Nem volt könnyű feladat.) Néhány példa:

Másodszor, langyos, mosószeres vízzel tisztítsuk meg a felület, amit festeni kívánunk.

Mielőtt festeni kezdek, fel kell rajzolni a mintát, hogy egyforma legyen. Ehhez szükség van papírra és ceruzára a rajzoláshoz, a pontos szerkesztéshez pedig vonalzó és körző is kell.

Fogtam az A4-es lapot, és körbetekertem a hüvelyen. Ahol egybeért, ott bejelöltem, hogy milyen széles legyen majd az egész.

A kijelölt részre aztán megszerkesztettem a mintát, amit a screenshotokról néztem le. A minta hosszát találomra adtam meg, követni próbálva a képeken látható arányt.

A kész mintát kivágtam, és ráragasztottam a hüvely végére, aztán átrajzoltam. A különálló cikcakkcsíkot tikszóval/celluxszal ragasztottam a többi részhez, hogy a távolság állandó maradjon.

Ezután jöhet a festés. Készítsük elő az eszközöket. Kell festék, ecset, egy törlőrongy, vizestál. Én akrilt használtam, mert az szinte minden felületre felkenhető, és szépen fed.

Az akril vizesalapú, tehát vízzel lehet hígítani, ám száradás után vízhatlan lesz. A száradási idő 30 perc. Fél óra múlva tényleg csontszáraz!
Az ecsetet sose mártsuk közvetlenül a festékbe, mert szálak kerülhetnek bele. Én nyomtam egy kicsit az egyik tálkába, és onnan vittem fel a felületre. Két rétegben kentem fel, mert a kék eléggé átlátszott alatta.
Ilyen lett aztán végül készen.

Let’s talk about fan arrangement albums, and naturally the ones on OCReMix. I was thinking of listening to each and writing something of a review of them. Chronologially, starting from the first.

The first album on OCR is Relics of the Chozo (official site), a Super Metroid album. Protricity, the director of the project, has 9 remixes on the project, not counting collaborations. It’s safe to say it’s a Protricity album.

With varying styles, mostly orchestral vgm and atmospheric synth tracks, it’s an interesting album, fitting of the source.

The album is consisted of 19 tracks by, aside from Protricity, Adhesive_Boy, Avien, Children of the Monkey Machine, Daniel Baronowsky, Prophecy, Suzumebachi, Vigilante, and zyko.

It should be mentioned that the amount of protricitic tracks is IIRC due to the failure of other remixers to devote the necessary time and energy, or skill, to the project.

RotC is a good album with scary, alien music. While not all players can play .ogg files, which the project was released in, several of the tracks are available on OCR, and those should get you interested enough to find yourself an ogg player.

My lawyer didn’t, tho.

Since my lawyer had advised me not to speculate in the dealings of humongous companies with prepostorous resources and lawyers enough to fill an oil tanker, I thought I’d get back to OCReMix, since my lawyer suggested I focus on a “non-profit organization” with less legal resources. I’ve come to believe OCR is responsible for a significant amount of “music” that is meant to be felt while high.

It goes without saying that video game music has evolved from bleeps and bips to quality electronica, but here lies the crux. Trance artists like Blind make their living on recruiting “agents” among people who “want to help out another remixer” in an attempt to buy themselves some higher status through association with celebrated remixers in the inbred community. The result is that the artist gains gigs and fame, while his “agents” remain insufferable sycophants pestering others on the OCR boards.

Let’s test this hypothesis by listening to three random remixes from OCR. The first one is a Chrono Trigger piano piece by Suzumebachi, called Forever. The second one is a Breath of Fire piece by Ghetto Lee Lewis. The third is a Mega Man X4 remix by the artist formerly known as DJ Terra.

The mixes speak for themselves.

OCR has previously been accused of being a techno site, and is often found favoring electronica over, say, viking metal. No doubt numerous remixers rely on electronica to produce their works, but when the focus goes from audible harmonic vibrations in the air to vibrations in the floor and in the spines and hearts of all junkies soon to suffer from arrhythmia and whatever the drugs themselves cause.

I’ll give OCR one more chance to redeem itself, one last random remix. What does that tell you?
