Dalla Francia con amour bonjour à tout le monde!
Io sono Domenico, un ragazzo di 23 anni che il 24 luglio 2009 é partito per un mese esatto alla volta della Francia, più precisamente nella regione dell’ Aquitania (sud della Francia, ai confini con la Spagna), a Tarnos.
Motivo: partecipare ad uno dei tanti progetti EVS.
Insieme a me, c’erano altri 16 ragazzi, di cui 2 facenti parte del progetto a lungo termine (un ragazzo turco e una ragazza groenlandese), 7 a breve termine (dalla polonia, slovacchia, georgia, ungheria, portogallo, grecia, olanda e..ITALIA!). Inoltre vi partecipavano altri 8 ragazzi provenienti dalla Bosnia, che non facevano parte del nostro stesso progetto, ma che in realtà condividevano con noi le stesse attività, lavoro, ecc.
La comunità che ci ospitava era la comunità di Emmaus, fondata da un abate, l’ Abbé Pierre, qualche anno addietro. Questa comunità si occupa dei cosiddetti ’senza tetto’ (’sans abris’ in francese), ‘prelevandoli’ dalle strade e ospitandoli nelle varie comunità (una é presente in Italia anche). Emmaus é una delle comunità più importanti in Francia.
Noi ragazzi vivevamo in questa comunità, dunque, e condividevamo la nostra vita con i ‘compagnons’, gli ex senza tetto, appunto. Quando dico ‘condividevamo’, dico proprio che mangiavamo insieme, lavoravamo insieme, avevamo gli stessi diritti/doveri. E nel tempo libero, ci fermavamo a parlare un po’; conoscendo il loro passato; molto difficile; cercando di scrutare nei loro occhi uno spiraglio di gioia, in quanto finalmente qualcuno potesse considerarli come persone normali, indipendentemete dal loro passato. E devo dire che é stata una sorpresa, a volte ci siamo molto divertiti insieme.
Emmaus é una comunità immersa nel verde, distante qualche chilometro dal primo centro abitato. La nostra settimana era ben definita. Per quattro giorni si lavorava. C’era infatti un magazzino all’ usato, che sosteneva economicamente la comunità. Ognuno di noi ragazzi (così come i compagnons) aveva un incarico. Il mio lavoro, non per dire, era il più bello. Andavo con il camion per la regione, caricando un po’ di roba dalle case (cioè letti, armadi, libri, ecc..che avevavate capito?) e quindi la trasportavamo al deposito, che la rimetteva a nuovo, pronta per essere rivenduta. Il mio lavoro era bello perché ho avuto modo di conoscere la gente francese, abitudini e modi di vivere; e questo camion che scorazzava in ogni dove. Per un giorno a settimana, invece, preparavamo uno spettacolo che alla fine abbiamo messo in scena per ben 2 volte, l’ultima davanti a tutti i membri di Emmaus, il penultimo giorno.
Infine la domenica e il lunedì erano i nostri giorni liberi. In questi giorni abbiamo fatto delle escursioni e mini gite. In località di mare (anzi di oceano), come Biarritz (stupenda), St Jean de Luz, San Sebastian (sì, in Spagna). Oppure escursioni campestri; una volta abbiamo oltrepassato il confine franco-spagnolo a piedi (ricordo che tra la Francia e la Spagna ci sono i Pirenei..). Il territorio era bellissimo, e faceva parte della regione basca (i nomi di alcune località erano scritte in francese, spagnolo e basco).
Bé, non voglio dilungarmi molto. Perché vorrei che scopriste tutto ciò con i vostri occhi. Solo vivendoci si può capire meglio la magia di Emmaus. Vi posso solo dire che ne é valsa la pena e mi é piaciuto tantissimo. Oltre al fatto che adesso mi faccio bello con i miei amici, mostrando le mie amicizie internazionali su facebook.
Ma prima di tutto, in quel mese di estate ho capito/scoperto un mucchio di cose, e la mia visione della vita é cambiata. Ho capito cosa vuol dire vivere con una ragazza autostica. Scoprire tipo che in Georgia non esistono le cozze; e il ragazzo georgiano le scansava dal piatto pensando fossero dei mostriciattoli; oppure che in Groenlandia non esistono i temporali; e la mia amica groenlandese, ad ogni lampo/tuono/fulmine chiudeva gli occhi, pensando fossero fenomeni di una divinità francese un po’ nervosetta.. Ma soprattutto, ho scoperto che nel mondo, c’è sempre qualcuno che ha bisogno di aiuto; e tu devi essere pronto a dare un po’ di te, un po’ della tua personalità, anche con solo un sorriso. Questo ho capito in uno sperduto luogo nel sud della Francia..
PS: comunque ho già deciso, mio figlio lo chiamerò Emmaus

The project:

We want to invite you to participate in our long-term project in Wrocław in The Lower Silesian Association for Children and young people with Cerebral Palsy “Ostoja“.

Because of the special character of the work the volunteers should be flexible, patient, tolerant and responsible. They should be able to loose their emotional and psychical barriers and fear in contact with mentally disabled persons. The most important thing is that they are able to show the young people they will work with that each of them is special, worthy and unique and – through the activities they will perform – help them move from dependence to independence.

Tasks:
Your activity will start from 8.00am – 14.00pm (Monday-Friday). Weekends will be days off.

Volunteer will work with children group up 4- 24 years old, or with young adults group, over 24 years old.
Volunteer may also choose one or several of the workshops she/he would like to work in: physiotherapy, group or individual rehabilitation, personal abilities, computer usage, social skills, nature workshop, household workshop, arte therapy, music therapy, ceramic, psychological, speech therapy and the “room of the world experiencing”- the stimulation of all senses. All the workshop groups are not bigger than 5 clients and are led by one or two professionals. Volunteer will assist them and will be organizing activities for the group together with the staff.

The volunteer is very welcome to integrate his/her own ideas and projects into the program of the Centre.
And of course volunteer will have to prepare, final report and web report about your EVS experience.

Wroclaw is a capital of Lower Silesia region situated in south-west Poland. Here live 750 thousand inhabitants. A big part of our region is mountains and this is the most tourist attractive place, not far from Wroclaw. Wroclaw is one of the quickest developing cities in Poland. The reason is the geographical location- near to the German and Czech borders. It draws many western investors. Wrocław itself is a beautiful city with many historic sites and very friendly atmosphere. We have 14 Universities and Academies and very good developed cultural live. The city is located on the Odra river and is called Polish Venice.

We are looking for an EVS volunteer to 1st November deadline. Our hosting project theme is European Awareness and Youth information and we are looking for a youngster over 18 years old, with great comunicative skills and eager to work with youth and european projects. I would also like to take this opportunity to introduce you my Association: Spin Association for Exchange, Training and Cooperation among People is a Portuguese non profit, non governmental organisation whose main aim is to carry out cultural activities and to participate in local and international training, exchange and cooperation projects, especially targeted at young people and people facing social difficulties.

I am writing for a hosting organization in Switzerland, whose aim is to teach people techniques for saving energy and water, as well as finding resources where they are. This will be achieved by a theoretical intro on energy sources and presently used water treatment plants, followed by a workshop where participants will be able to practice building devices such as solar panels, and various home equipment. Emphasis will be put on reusing existing and easily available hardware.

The workshop should take place in and around a truck, which should then tour around Europe (and maybe further, who knows?) to show the world how easily we can greatly reduce our environmental impact.

If you like ecology, building things and getting into something unusual, “Capsule” is for you! But maybe you’re unemployed, lacking the motivation for abstract studies or just curious about how and why things work? Capsule is also for you.

Tasks: hosting the Internet Cafe and organizing events for the girls (Details in the database)

Requirements: female, outgoing personality that can easily encourage young girls (16-24 year old), basic German knowledge, in the schools experience with children or youth, at Bahnhofsmission high German knowledge. The volunteer should stay for one year which means from August 2010 until July 2011.

A drop-in- Shelter at the train station for counseling homeless people and helping any person who have different needs.

The After-School-Clubs are based on the premises of the primary schools. They open at 11 o clock. The children go there after class and get a warm lunch. Afterwards they do their homework and participate in different workshops such as music, theatre, gardening, sports… The volunteer will work from Monday till Friday from 11- 16.00. In the evening she or he will attend German classes.

Tasks: help in the workshops run for the children, help during lunch, looking after the children, help with homework, help running the holiday programme, it really depends on the volunteers interests.

Reguirements: Basic German would be necessary, interest in working with children, if possible experiences with children- or youth work. The volunteer should stay for one year which means from August 2010 until July 2011.

Sto svolgendo il mio SVE in una periferia di Parigi. Sono qui da quasi 3 mesi e tra poco questa meravigliosa esperienza sarà solo un ricordo…

uno dei più belli della mia vita. Tre mesi qui passano davvero in fretta ma sono talmente intensi che potrei scriverci un libro! Mi sento come travolta da un turbinio di emozioni, pensieri, immagini e suoni che prima non conoscevo! Non è facile fermare le emozioni su un foglio, scorrono troppo in fretta, inafferrabili, indescrivibili. Quando sono arrivata qui, non conoscevo nessuno, mi guardavo intorno e non vedevo niente di familiare: centinaia di visi sconosciuti, tutti uguali, mi osservavano come fossi un’extraterrestre; voci estranee si sovrapponevano producendo un brusio incomprensibile; i gatti miagolavano in modo strano (tanto che mi sono convinta che gli animali parlano diverse lingue); le vie, tutte così simili tra loro che avevo paura di perdermi; il sole, che non tramonta mai…  alle 22:00 la gente ti dice ancora BUONGIORNO (a questo non mi sono ancora abituata!!! ); e gli autobus… talmente puntuali da far paura!!!!! La prima settimana, ho provato timore di non riuscire ad ambientarmi, ma anche curiosità verso il nuovo mondo che mi circondava e voglia di e ntrare a farne parte. Vivo in un foyer, una specie di collegio universitario, ma abitato da ragazzi tra 18 e 26 anni che cercano lavoro o ne hanno uno poco remunerato. Loro sono stati davvero unici con me! Mi hanno subito coinvolta nelle loro vite, raccontandomi le loro storie e travolta di domande sul mio paese, le mie tradizioni, i miei interessi… sono stati i miei primi nuovi amici, le prime persone su cui ho potuto contare, i primi punti di riferimento. I primi passi verso l’integrazione li ho fatti insieme a loro. Siamo sempre insieme. Dopo il lavoro, nel fine settimana, organizziamo sempre qualcosa di divertente. Siamo come una grande famiglia, di quelle in cui non ti annoi mai!Le cene all’italiana, quelle “internazionali ( dove ognuno prepara un piatto tipico del proprio paese d’origine), le uscite a Parigi, le serate passate a suonare, cantare ( ecc… ) sotto la Tour Eiffel, le risate fino a notte fonda… già so che mi mancheranno da morire! E del “lavoro” … che dire? Un’esperienza irripetibile! Il mio luogo di lavoro è una foresta. “Forêt de Bondy” si chiama. È lì che passo le mie giornate dal lunedì al venerdì, svolgendo attività sportive e culturali con i bambini delle cités: quartieri popolari dove si vive di poco; dove, tra la disperazione e la rabbia negli occhi della gente, i sorrisi dei bambini, le loro voci allegre e i loro sguardi pieni di speranza sono le sole cose che ti spingono a non arrenderti, ad andare avanti e a lottare per fare in modo che quegli sguardi e quei sorrisi non spariscano mai dai loro volti. Quanto mi diverto con loro! Sono SUPER!!! La loro voglia di vivere e la loro gioia sono contagiose… io non so spiegarlo, ma passo otto ore al giorno ridendo ininterrottamente, per qualcosa che fanno, che dicono, che disegnano, che scrivono, che immaginano… o anche senza motivo, solo perché ne ho voglia, solo perché li guardo e sono felice! Adesso che tutto sta per finire, quel mondo così diverso dal mio, così lontano dalle mie abitudini e così sconosciuto al mio arrivo, è diventato casa mia… mi sembra di essere nata e cresciuta con questi amici, in questi  luoghi e tra questa gente… non li dimenticherò mai e sono sicura che in Italia non ci tornerò mai del tutto… Una parte di me resterà qui: il mio cuore!

ACTIVITY: The project will take place in Åazarz area – one of the central districts of Poznan (Poland), where the office of the organization Centre for Youth Initiatives Horyzonty is located. The Centre for Youth Initiatives Horyzonty is very highly involved in the district’s local life, especially in terms of the youth work. In cooperation with local Cultural Community Centre (Dom Kultury Krag) and two local primary schools we will provide interesting activities for children and youngsters in the neighborhood.
The regular activities of the volunteers will be:
1. The animation activities for children and youth in our neighborhood in cooperation with the Cultural Community Centre and schools. Five days a week the volunteers will organize workshops for the children and youth in local schools and Cultural Community Centre – the type of activity will be based on volunteers’ interests and skills (outdoor activities, linguistic activities, dance, multimedia, European club etc.) Everything depends on one’s creativity, skills and interests. The children and youth (10-18 years old) come from different social background, mainly we would like to involve young people who have economical or educational problems, who are considered as the youth with fewer opportunities.
2. The volunteers will support Horyzonty members in organizing short-term projects (local and international), they will have opportunity to decide in what concrete action they would like to be involved. For example weekend visits in the Children House in the Northern Poland and summer projects for the children.
3. The volunteers will be asked to get involved in EVS promotional activities in the schools and universities.

The volunteers will be offered:
- trainings and coaching support by Horyzonty member experienced in youth work, concerning the skills how to facilitate workshops, methodology, certain skills in cultural animation, knowledge how to organize youth projects as exchanges, training, workcamps.
- mentor support, who will help them in term of living in Pozna� (providing the opportunities to get to know the culture)
- linguistic support (Polish classes once a week).

PROFILE OF THE VOLUNTEERS: We are looking for 2 volunteers willing to work with young people to develop activities in the field of cultural animation, intercultural education. An experience in culture animation (for example music skills, art, theatre, media) and project management will be appreciated. The volunteer should be able to communicate in English.
We are open to work with volunteers with fewer opportunities, especially those disadvantaged because of social, economic or geographic reasons.

Eto ga, završio sam sa 4 chapterom knjige koju pratim, i dobio zadatak od Neosynthesista da složim kalkulator. I eto prvi (bez funkcija) sam složio sam:

Baš me privlači to programiranje
To je to za danas!

Eto pala obilna kiša i podosta rashladila zrak. Super je! Sada neka opet malo zagrije, još tjedan-dva za podvodni ribolov i onda može krenuti pravo jesensko vrijeme.
Sutra mi je zadnji dan na poslu, i je i nije šmrc…

Python ide dobro. Stigao do funkcija (prošao vrijednosti, varijable, operacije sa stringovima itd…), prilično sam zadovoljan.

… već mi je dojadilo. Ono ta vručina me ubija. Eto još radim 7 dana i onda mali odmor. Znam da ću se 2.9 dobrano naspavati
Sinoć gledao Transformerse 2 u kinu i samo mogu reći da je film ODLIČAN! (trailer – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pcz6yAYDT4g ). Znači same preporuke.

Što se Pythona tiče stao sam trenutno na input vs. raw_input. Pomalo idem naprijed, ali uživam sada u zadnjim danima ljeta pa to nastavljam samo ako stignem navečer, tj. nisam umoran.  Nadam se kada počne škola da će onda biti Python svaki dan
