Heehee okay a 2 month hiatus from blogging would usually be very bad on my behalf but since noone reads this sorry website i call my blog i figured noone would have missed it.

Things that have come and gone;

1. HSC – That bad boy has thankfully passed and has left me relatively unscathed *phew*, no need to worry about exams anymore till December 16th.

2. Formal – Yes I had my Year 12 on the 17th of November 2009 at Le Montage. First of all Cheryl Ho. Cheryl looked absolutely beautiful in her ice blue dress

Everyone looked so grown up in suits and dresses *sigh*. The food was good for the most part, for some reason the girls all got steaks while the guys got chicken…. yea wrong way around i know. The Entree was this cone looking thing with potato and cheese which tasted alright followed by the main either chicken or beef finished with a creme brulee that wasn’t REALLY a creme brulee. While the food was good the atmosphere was better. Everyone got their freaky freaks on and shredded the dancefloor to the “Nutbush”. All in all it was a great night  which we’ll all remember forever. 3. Sound Card – Yea i bought myself a usb sound card. Reason? dunno. I got a Creative Sound Blaster Play! which is around the same size a usb drive and basically just has an input for a microphone and an headphone/speaker output. The cool thing is that it upmixes all my stereo 2.0 signals to surround sound, you can definitely hear the difference!

4. My Cousin and her new husband came to visit from china. So being awesomely nice i drove them around for the days that they stayed with us. We went to The Rocks which very Victorian and beautiful, the day would’ve been perfect if it hadn’t been 41 degrees

Afterwards we headed towards the DFS Galleria which this exclusive Duty Free Store packed with asian tourists. Now the brands I saw in this store i’ve only ever seen or heard of in movies.

5. Steak – Yesterday night we headed off to black stump for some steak. Now having never REALLY had steak before i didn’t really know what to expect. I ordered the 500g grain fed rump steak done rare with pepper sauce, baked potatoes and salad. And well this photo best sums it up.

Nach langer Zeit hängen hier wieder mal die saisonalen Deko-Fahnen.

Die Beleuchtung hat was, ist mir persönlich als Beleuchtungsfan aber ein wenig zu schlicht…

…gibt es viele Figürchen, Pakete und viel Glitter. Sowie vereinzelt kleine Tannenbäumchen.

Subjektive Bewertung: Letztes Jahr sah’s besser aus, vor allem die Lichterketten an den Palmen!

Gewohnter Stil am Hauptbahnhof

Am ÜberHauptbahnhof gibt es hingegen keinen großen Überraschungseffekt.

Hier heißt es vielmehr: The same procedure as every year.

Der Hauptbahnhof hat innen wie außen seine eigenen, speziell für ihn angefertigten Deko-Leuchtsterne…

Natürlich darf zu dem Anlass auch ein neues Irrlicht nicht fehlen.

Nur auf den Swarovski-Baum wird schon zum zweiten Mal in Folge verzichtet, stattdessen gibt es wie schon 2008 einen kleineren, schlichteren Tannenbaum – hier steht er noch im Lager (gestern Abend).

Eine Stunde später wurde mit dem Aufbau angefangen, und heute ist er bereits komplett in der Mittelebene zu bewundern.

Since you all where so helpful – NOOOT! when I requested help with my christmas gift for boyfriend’s grandmother, I take it, you liked the bracelet just the way it was. So I kept it that way and just did some remaking in the way I attached the clasp. Instead of only the crimp beads that I used before, I now have bead tips for terminators (Kalotten), it looks more professional like this because you can’t see the wire anymore. You still have to use the crimps though, they’re hidden inside the tips. Now, I think the clasp is the pretty side up and I hope ol’ polish Gran will think so too.

The photo is lousy, I know. It’s not that ideal to photograph beads and pearls with photo booth, especially not on my imac because the screen is so darn light, the light reflects in the pearls and they all kind of turn into this white blur. This was the best pic actually – all the others kind of looked like this:

This whole project has turned out to be as much a test of my photography skills (almost nil, as you can see) as my ability to make jewelry.  But…did manage to make jewelry, take pictures, possess the mini-USB cable and the computer, download the pictures, and create this post.  GO ME!

So, here goes:

These earrings are made of really beautiful light green, circular swarovski crystal twist earrings.  These earrings also use sterling silver spacer beads and silver twist beads.  Additionally, these use lovely silver earring wires.  These light green crystals capture light wonderfully.

These earrings are very simple but quite lovely in their simplicity.  Approximately two inches long their length elongates the face and body of the wearer making them very flattering.  They are made of silver seed beads and beautiful, lime green oval jade stones.  They are hung on sterling silver earwires.

I love the funkiness (is that a word?) of these earrings.  They have a luminous shell look but are circular and glass.  The earrings incorporate sterling silver spacers and earwires.

This picture absolutely does not do these earrings justice.  They are made with gorgeous bright blue swarovski crystals and lovely sterling silver spacers.  They are wonderful!

This is a great little bracelet–it has really attractive symmetry.  It’s made with light green pearls, silver spacers, and silver seed beads.  They are fastened on stretch, elastic banding that makes is really easy and comfortable to wear.

As an aside, I used a bracelet just like this to try a really interesting practice that is designed to help enforce positive thinking.  Every time you have a negative thought about yourself, someone else, or something, you simply switch the wrist the bracelet is on.  This activity makes you acutely aware of your negative thoughts and helps you scale them back.  You could focus only on negative thoughts about yourself (for exmaple: “I look so fat.”) or complaining thoughts.  It’s an incredibly interesting and useful practice.

Ah, there are, in fact, more pictures but I’ll leave it here for now.
