Men’s watches were relatively unheard of during the 19th century. They are the ultimate expressions of a brutish pedigree, and although large and trendy, these chronographs can still manifest a sense of panache. The faces on sportswatches for men are more likely to be filled with multifunction subdials and functions such as stopwatches, barometers, and compasses.

And although you’re sporty by day, you’re still required to tone down the Sea Wolf and dress up to the nines at night with a men’s fashion watch. If you’re big-wristed, choose a larger dial and wider strap, regardless of whether it’s of brushed stainless or crocodile skin. Being mindful of the size of a man’s watch will keep it from looking too feminine and minuscule on your wrist.

What’s Your Age

It is also an unwritten rule that men need to buy watches according to their ages. For instance, a men’s luxury watch such as a Rolex GMT would be incongruous on the wrist of a 23-year old yuppie. Similarly, when you’re 35 or older, you should have already moved up from the Fossils and DKNYs to men’s dress watches such as the IWCs and the Baume & Merciers.

But as with any of your accessories, your best bet would be to purchase swiss made watches that best reflects your personality. Fashion gurus would tell you that a good first impression generally comes from the self-confidence, so don’t attempt to wear anything you wouldn’t feel comfortable with.

Bei Industriegütern gilt, dass mindestens 60 Prozent der Produktionskosten im Inland anfallen müssen. Bei Lebensmitteln muss 80 Prozent des Gewichts der Rohstoffe aus der Schweiz stammen. Info

Seit 2000 ist der Ausländer Anteil der ständigen Ausländischen Wohnbevölkerung über 20 % gestiegen, ohne Sands- Papiers und Asylanten. Wo Schweiz drauf steht muss auch Schweiz drin sein. Da stellt sich die frage, alle Besitzer mit einem Schweizer Pass müssten demzufolge zu 80 % Schweizer sein, mit Nachweis natürliche. Ansonsten ist der Schweizer Pass mit Kreuz zu  entziehen, und durch einen Nur Roten Pass zu ersetzen. Gerade mal knapp 40% der sogenannten Schweizer währen dann echte Eidgenossen ohne Zusatzstoffe. Wie zum Beispiel: Brauner Zucker usw…  

In der Schweiz ärgern sich viele Konsumenten über den Etikettenschwindel mit angeblich heimischen Produkten. Zahlreiche hoch gelobte und mit dem Schweizer Kreuz geschmückte Waren stammen gar nicht aus der Schweiz. Darunter auch Klassiker wie Schweizer Käse und Bündner Fleisch. Die Schweizer Stiftung für Konsumentenschutz (SKS) informiert regelmäßig mit einer “Beschissliste”.

Die aktuell publizierte Version der Produktliste enthält doppelt so viele Produkte wie die Juli-Liste. Die SKS hat zahlreiche Hinweise von Konsumentinnen und Konsumenten erhalten. Neu auf der Liste sind beispielsweise ein in den Niederlanden hergestellter Edamer von Emmi (Schweizerkreuz im Logo) und die Kosmetikfirmen Juvena (of Switzerland) und La Prairie (Switzerland), die in den USA oder Deutschland produzieren lassen.

Wer aktuell durch einen deutschen Supermarkt geht (führend in meinen Augen ist hinsichtlich des Schweizer Sortiments EDEKA), stoplert auch immer wieder über das Schweizer Kreuz.  “Swissness” zieht eben beim Kunden – auch und gerade in Deutschland.

Für einige Rohstoffe, die zwar zu 100% in der Schweiz verarbeitet, aber dort nicht angebaut werden können, wie z.B. Kaffee oder Kakao, wird durch die SKS eine Ausnahmeliste geführt. Weiterhin soll es möglich sein, mit «Made in Switzerland» zu werben, wenn das Produkt zu 100% in der Schweiz hergestellt wurde. Mit dem Schweizerkreuz, mit Wilhelm Tell oder dem Namen Schweiz sollen die Lebensmittel aber erst beworben werden dürfen,  wenn auch die Rohstoffe aus der Schweiz stammen.

Im Kaffi Schopp Sortiment findet sich aktuell nur eine Rösterei, die mit dem Schweizer Kreuz wirbt, nämlich La Semeuse. Allerdings finden sich in den Logos von Blaser Café und der Schaerer AG auch das Schweizerkreuz als Teil des Logos.

Dennoch können wir uns darauf verlassen, dass die Kaffees und Schokoladen im Kaffi Schopp 100% Swiss Made sind – wobei die Rohstoffee Kaffee und Schokoladen natürlich nicht aus der Eidgenossenschaft stammen.

The case and bracelet (what little of it is actually metal!) is done in 18k white gold while a dizzying collection of 176 diamonds on the case and another 94 diamonds on the bracelet that crowd the design of the watch like a bunch of too many densely packed wealthy neighbors. The entire watch has 59 carats of pure glitzy glory.

Likewise the timepiece is known as the Superstar, or GraffSuperstar. Whatever the title, this watch is is certainly a statement about the woman wearing it. However that statement might be “I enjoy rubies and emeralds in my breakfast cereal.” Sorry gentlemen, we will have to settle for a less diamond studded version. Stones on the Superstar watch are in trilliant and trapeze cuts that gives a very modern and angular shape that is also quite cohesive. Round cut stones make for good decor, but these more angular cuts allow for a more tiled look that enhances the “total diamond watch” style that Graff is going for. My instincts tell me that the movement inside the watch is Swiss quartz. The dial of the watch is no testament to legibility, but should be readable – a nice trapeze cut emerald is the only non-diamond stone of the bunch and serves as the 12 o’clock marker.
