<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class='snap_preview'><p>Tänään oli kiire päivä. Heräsin hyvissä ajoin ehtiäkseni proteesipajalle kävelyharjoituksiin, mutta sitä ennen piti saada lakanat pesukoneeseen. Suihkutin ja lähdin. Pajalla askelsin fysioterapeutin kanssa ja uutena astuin yhden rappusen ylös ja alas. Tunnin session jälkeen proteesimestari asensi Oscarille uuden jalkaterän, joka  samalla nosti sen korkeutta puolisen senttiä. Uusi jalkaterä on napakampi ja vähän painavampi kuin ensimmäinen.</p>
<p>Kiireesti takaisin kotiin, koska F oli tulossa kahdeksi tuomaan puolestani ostamansa kaupan tuotteet. Nyt mulla on jo yhdet joululahjat veljien lapsille. Joimme pikaisesti kahvit ja hän mennessään otti jätepaperit ulos.</p>
<p>Monivuotinen pikku kiinalaiseni tuli kolmeksi. Hänen kanssaan teimme kotitöitä tunnin verran. Puhtaat lakanat narulle ja toiset vuoteeseen ja sen semmoista. Mennessään hän nappasi bio- ja sekaroskat. </p>
<p>Minä lähdin neljältä Stadiin. Keikuin rollaattorin kanssa ensin hammaslääkäriasemalle maksamaan laskuni. Sieltä Stockmannille, koska kaipasin huulipunaa tai siis vain halusin helliä itseäni. Vihdoin puoli kuudeksi Keskuskadun ravintolaan, jonne oli varattu seitsemänhengenpöytä. Jees. Meitä oli seitsemän vanhaa swissairilaista daamia, jotka vihdoin tapasimme. Söimme hinta- laatu-suhteessa hyvin ja paikkahan valittiin, koska sisään ei ollut rappusia. Taisimme olla aikamoinen seurue? Puhuimme suomea, ruotsia ja &#8220;en guete&#8221; Sveitsin saksaakin kaikkea sekaisin. Muisteloista meidän kaikkien upeimmasta työpaikasta ei meinannut tulla loppua, mutta kaikki hyvä loppuu aikanaan. Oli ihana nähdä kaikki eikä mikään ollut muuttunut. Näkemisiin tammikuussa ladyt.    </p>
<p>Noustessani seisomaan lähteäkseni taxiin oli Oscar puutunut.</p>

<p>Segundo o meu professor de finanças e de economia Milton, saiu uma pesquisa feita no Brasil, na qual empresas/marcas que são abertas hoje, tem uma expectativa de sobrevivência no mercado muito pequena. Mais que a metade das empresas abertas, fecham as portas no máximo em 2 anos, devido a dois fatores:</p>
<p>1. Empresa despreparada ou com falta de competência administrativa dos profissionais;</p>
<p>2. Falta de recursos.</p>
<p>No mercado não se pode brincar, uma jogada errada pode condenar a empresa para sempre, não importa se é uma empresa inovadora ou uma empresa de tradição de muitos anos, não tem perdão. Fiz uma lista de algumas empresas/marcas famosas já falidas. Veja como elas foram a falência e se você lembrar de uma empresa/marca que não foi colocada abaixo, por favor acrescente nos comentários.  </p>

<p>Tempo de vida: 1873 – 2003 (130 anos)</p>
<p>Motivo da falência: Em 2003 a fusão da Konica Corporation e da Minolta Co. formou a empresa Konica Minolta, resultando no desaparecimento da marca Konica do mercado. Em 2006 a divisão de fotografia digital, que produzia suas câmeras digitais, foi desativada passando a ser controlada pela Sony. No mesmo ano, ao se retirar definitivamente do mercado fotográfico, a empresa demitiu 3.700 empregados.</p>

<p>Motivo: A BCP telecomunicações iniciou suas operações em maio de 1998, e usava a tecnologia TDMA, onde hoje não se usa mais. Em 2003 foi vendida para o grupo mexicano Telmex, muito forte na América Latina, e hoje faz parte da operadora Claro controlada pelo grupo América Móvil.</p>

<p>Tempo de vida: 1913 – 1999 (86 anos)</p>
<p>Motivo da falência: O Mappin teve o lamentável encontro com a crise e com a má administração que culminaram na sua falência em 1999. Junto a ela as lojas Mesbla que haviam sido incorporadas ao Mappin, em 1996, também tiveram o mesmo fim. Fato curioso, segundo a coluna de Mônica Bergamo em 3 de junho de 2009, Ricardo Mansur (último proprietário da rede), estaria supostamente interessado em reabrir o Mappin. Mansur teria encaminhado um pedido ao juiz de seu processo de falência e estaria tentando captar dinheiro com investidores internacionais.</p>

<p>Tempo de vida: 1927 – 1991 (64 anos)</p>
<p>Motivo da falência: Em 1985, A PAN AM vendeu à United Airlines, por US$ 750 milhões, todas as rotas da empresa para a Ásia, Austrália e ilhas do Pacífico, além de 18 aviões para quitar as dividas acumuladas ao longo dos anos. Com isso, a PAN AM encolheu 21%. No dia 21 de Dezembro de 1988, um fato decisivo ocorreu para a empresa: um pedaço de explosivo plástico dentro de um Walkman que estava em uma mala, explodiu dentro do avião em Lockerbie na Escócia. Todos culparam a PAN AM pelo ocorrido, mas técnicos da aviação admitiram que não há muito o que fazer para prevenir uma coisa destas. Existiu um plano de se manter a PAN AM operando nas rotas para o Caribe e América do Sul, como uma subsidiaria da Delta Airlines, mas este plano logo desmoronou. Além disso, a Guerra do Golfo, em janeiro de 1991, reduziu ainda mais o número de passageiros da companhia aérea. Desesperada por capital, a empresa vendeu suas rotas transatlânticas, parte para a United, parte para a Delta. A empresa sangrava: perdia US$ 3 milhões a cada dia. A Delta ofereceu US$ 416 milhões em cash e assumir US$ 389 milhões em dívidas, porém quando os executivos da Delta tiveram acesso ao caixa da PAN AM, descobriram um buraco de US$ 1.7 bi. A Delta saiu do negócio. Sem capital para continuar operando, a empresa teve sua falência decretada em 4 de dezembro de 1991.</p>

<p>Motivo da falência: Em 1990, o surgimento do Uno Mille, seguido por outros modelos de um litro, bem maiores e mais rápidos que o pequeno Gurgel, surgiu-se uma incômoda concorrência, pois custavam quase o mesmo. Atolada em dívidas e combalida no mercado pela concorrência das multinacionais, a Gurgel pediu concordata em junho de 1993 e acabou fechando as portas no final de 1994.</p>

<p>Tempo de vida: 1985 – 2002 (17 anos)</p>
<p>Motivo: A Enron Corporation foi vítima de fraudes contábeis, conspiração e lavagem de dinheiro e com uma dívida de US$ 13 bilhões, o grupo pediu concordata em dezembro de 2001. Na época, as investigações revelaram que a Enron havia manipulado seus balanços financeiros, com a ajuda de empresas e bancos escondeu dívidas de US$ 25 bilhões por dois anos consecutivos, tendo seus lucros inflados artificialmente. Em razão de uma série de escândalos financeiros corporativos foi decretada a sua falência.</p>

<p>Tempo de vida: 1947 – 1982 (35 anos)</p>
<p>Motivo da falência: Em 1979, a indústria automobilística estava em crescente expansão e novas marcas de motocicletas (japonesas) no mercado brasileiro influenciaram muito na decadência da marca. A Lambretta parou de produzir a motoneta (scooter) e passou por uma grande crise para tentar sobrevier no mercado. Lançou a Lambretta Br Tork nas versões 125P, 125T e de 150cc, voltado para o segmento de veículos populares com preços acessíveis, mas não resistiu e a fábrica faliu em 1982. Hoje a Lambretta ainda é produzida na Índia pela “S.I.L” ( Scooters India Ltd), porém somente o triciclo conhecido como “Tuk Tuk” tem a tradicional marca.</p>

<p>Motivo: A marca Swissair desapareceu dos céus do mundo em 1º de abril de 2002, quando deu-se a mudança oficial para a marca Swiss, resultante da fusão do que sobrou da Swissair com sua sucessora, a também suíça Crossair.</p>

<p>Tempo de vida: 1933 – 2005 (72 anos)</p>
<p>Motivo:  No início da década de 90, a Vasp foi privatizada e iniciou uma agressiva expansão internacional: Ásia, Estados Unidos, Europa e até mesmo o Marrocos. Aumentou a frota trazendo entre outros três DC-10-30 e depois nove MD-11. Criou o Vasp Air System, após adquirir o controle acionário da LAB, Ecuatoriana e da Argentina TAN. Não conseguiu sustentar o crescimento, deixou de pagar obrigações, salários, leasings e até taxas de navegação e as rotas internacionais foram canceladas. Em setembro de 2004, o Departamento de Aviação Civil (DAC) suspendeu as operações de oito aeronaves da Vasp. Uma nova companhia de aviação ingressou no mercado (Gol) e a Vasp operou em novembro de 2004 apenas 18% dos vôos programados.  No final de janeiro de 2005, a Viação Aérea São Paulo parou de voar quando o DAC cassou sua autorização de operação. Suas aeronaves hoje estão paradas por aeroportos de todo o país.</p>

<p>Motivo: A Kolynos foi comprada pela Colgate-Palmolive (empresa norte-americana) e envolveu uma transação de US$ 1.040 bilhão, sendo que US$ 760 milhões foram destinados ao mercado brasileiro. Na época, protestos das concorrentes, principalmente P&#38;G (Proter &#38; Gamble), grande interessada na compra, trouxeram à mídia uma série de discussões a respeito da lei antitrust e sobre a atuação do Conselho Administrativo de Defesa Econômica (CADE). Por isso, a Colgate-Palmolive foi obrigada a matar a marca por determinação do CADE. Um fato interessante, a marca Kolynos tinha uma força tão grande que apenas em 2003, quando indagados por uma pesquisa, que tinha o objetivo de tabular as marcas mais lembradas na cabeça do consumidor (TopofMind), a Kolynos perdeu a primeira posição pela primeira vez  para sua substituta, a Sorriso, um fato incrível já que desde 1997 ( 6 anos) a marca havia sido extinta</p>

Depois do término da parceria com a Igreja Renascer em Cristo, a Rede Manchete tentou sobreviver sozinha no mercado. No dia 8 de maio de 1999 foi anunciada, com aprovação do Ministério das Comunicações, a venda da Rede Manchete de Televisão e seus cinco canais para o Grupo Tele TV, de Amilcare Dallevo Júnior, o nome da emissora foi trocado para Rede TV!<!--more--></p>

Em 1970 a American Motors Corporation comprou a empresa, que mais tarde seria adquirida, em 1987, pela Chrysler Corporation. A marca acabou sendo absorvida e substituída pela Jeep.</p>

<p style="line-height:14.25pt;"><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Georgia,serif;">Lembro-me com clareza da primeira vez que vi o belo MD-11 da Swissair no aeroporto Internacional de Guarulhos, local que freqüento há muito tempo: eu estava no Mcdonalds, e aquele belo pássaro chegou e parou bem na minha frente. Desde aquele momento, passei a ter admiração pelo MD-11 e pela Swissair, que passou a ser uma de minhas aéreas favoritas. Infelizmente, devido a grande crise após o 11 de Setembro e à sua administração incompetente, a empresa deixou de existir. Hoje, ao entrar no site da Revista Flap, achei o link de uma bela matéria sobre a empresa suíça e sua presença em terras tupiniquins. O artigo, escrito por G. Betting, trás belas imagens e, em minha opinião, deveria estar em todos os “livros de História da Aviação”. Vale um clique&#8230;</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span>Finally, Chapter 10 “Turning geography into history” is the story of how every other industry is benefiting from off shoring services to India; the IT success story acted as a catalyst; Internet offered the wherewithal; the global mindset of average Indians today (thanks to demographic dividend) and the government policies fueled the growth. Once again the book traces the “long revolution” <span> </span>- Swiss Air starting a joint-venture with TCS though Airline Financial Support Services (APS) in SEEPZ Bombay in 1992; British Airways followed suit in 1996 (later becoming World Network Services (WNS); financial services major American Express and GE followed. Local entrepreneur jumped in &#8211; Raman Roy with SpectraMind, K Ganesh with CustomerAsset, Jerry Rao with mPhasis; later they were acquired by Wipro, ICICI and EDS respectively. In the process, Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) industry was born.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span>Interestingly R &#38; D outsourcing, starting with Pharmaceuticals R &#38; D led to a whole range of companies starting their R &#38; D arms India – GM, DuPont, Unilever, Volvo, Philips, LG and so on. IBM, GE, and Cisco were particularly focusing on large investment in R &#38; D in India. </span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span>Engineering Services was the next. Bechtel started modest operation in 1994 and the headcount has touched 600 by 2006. Indian companies Wipro and HCL Technologies cashed in this opportunity. </span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span>Knowledge Process Outsourcing (KPO) started in a big way; EvalueServe is a classic example that focused on patent related services. Management Consulting Services (including McKinsey) followed. Financial Services (Goldman Sachs) information Services (Thomson) and Legal Process outsourcing (LPO) followed – spanning a wide range of services.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span>In “Conclusion” the author talks of the role of the government – ECIL/ ITI / Government computer centers contributing to early technical staff of Wipro, DCM; IITs, NCST providing manpower. The restrictive follows hampering growth initially and supporting policies enabling spectacular growth. The challenge for the Indian IT industry is to sustain the growth – enter into products and technology in a big way. With the global meltdown and Satyam scam, the challenges have only increased. One hopes that the Indian IT industry will come out of those dark clouds with a renewed vigor and energy.</span></p>

Resultante da fusão da Ad Astra Aero com a Balair.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">   A companhai recebeu seus primeiros wide-body em 1971, com a chegada de 2 747-200, e mais tarde com o DC-10.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">   &#8220;A política expansionista mostrou-se desastrosa: o SAirGroup perdeu mais de 1 bilhão de dólares em apenas um ano (2000), levando à uma insurreição administrativa e queda de seus principais executivos, que foram substituídos. Tarde demais, já que estava com alto endividamento, além que de atentados de 11 de setembro de 2001 representaram um duro golpe em todas as companhias aéreas.&#8221;</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">    &#8221;A marca Swissair desapareceu dos céus do mundo em 1º de abril de 2002, quando deu-se a mudança oficial para a marca Swiss, resultante da fusão do que sobrou da Swissair com sua sucessora, a também suíça Crossair.&#8221;</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">    &#8221;Ao pousar em Zürich no dia 1° de abril de 2002, o MD-11 prefixo HB-IWA fazendo o vôo SR145 proveniente de São Paulo, encerrou definitivamente 71 anos de tradição, eficiência e respeito ao passageiro. O indicativo &#8220;SR&#8221; desapareceu, no entanto o Callsign Swissair e o ICAO-Code SWR foram tomadas pela companhia sucessora, SWISS International Air Lines.&#8221;</p>

<p>O <a href="http://www.ana.pt/portal/page/portal/ANA/AEROPORTO_PORTO/">aeroporto Francisco Sá Carneiro (ASC)</a> tem vindo a perder peso face aos três da <a href="http://pt.wikipedia.org/wiki/Galiza">Galiza</a>, tendência que se agravou em 2005, ano que as infra-estruturas espanholas acolheram 55,04 por cento dos passageiros que circularam nos aeroportos do noroeste peninsular.De acordo com o «<a href="http://www.jn.pt/">Jornal de Notícias</a>», a perda de primazia, contudo, data de 2003, quando os movimentos nos aeroportos de Vigo, Santiago e Corunha corresponderam a 50,81% do total quando, antes, os do ASC superavam os dos três galegos. Apostar no turismo e no transporte de carga de modo a complementar com a Galiza, diz um estudo do <a href="http://www.eixoatlantico.org/">Eixo Atlântico</a>, é a melhor solução para os interesses desta euro-região.</p>
<p>Na origem da quebra, defende o estudo «<a href="http://www.biblioteca.porto.ucp.pt/docbweb/plinkres.asp?Base=ISBD&#38;Form=COMP&#38;StartRec=0&#38;RecPag=5&#38;NewSearch=1&#38;SearchTxt=%22TI%20Sistema%20aeroportuario%20do%20Eixo%20Atl%E2ntico%22">Sistema Aeroportuário do Eixo Atlântico</a>», estão factores como as obras de ampliação do ASC, que comprometeram a sua capacidade entre 2002 e 2004, o encerramento da <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sabena">Sabena</a> e <a href="http://pt.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swissair">Swissair</a> e, ainda, a «política de concentração do tráfego da <a href="http://www.tap.pt">TAP</a> em Lisboa», desde 1999. A estes factores junta-se o 11 de Setembro, que, no entanto, afectou todos.</p>

<p>1. Wuffli war über Nacht weg, dabei hatte er eine gute Vorlesung gehalten an der HSG. Ich habe ihn sogar live gesehen, als Studi.</p>
<p>2. Marcel Ospel war schneller weg als man dachte.</p>
<p>3. <a href="http://online.wsj.com/article/SB122413491899139953.html?mod=rss_whats_news_us">Und jetzt kauft der Schweizer Staat der UBS AG den Ramsch ab und investiert weitere Milliarden</a>.</p>
<p>bin gespannt was noch alles auf uns zukommt. Mein Konto bleibt vorerst noch bei der UBS. Wir haben ja jetzt eine Staatsgarantie, das was die Swissair nie erhalten hat. Mehr OpenSource täte der UBS AG nur zu gut. Aber diese Garantie übernimmt ja jetzt auch der Staat. Es wird jetzt wohl ein paar Politiker geben (das kann ich nur hoffen), welche die Bücher der UBS durchleuchten und an die Öffentlichkeit bringen.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class='snap_preview'><p>obwohl das wetter derzeit hier mehr an november denn an august erinnert, bin ich momentan in hochstimmung. warum? &#8211; ganz einfach: meine 2 verschollenen koffer sind aufgetaucht. und das obwohl ich nicht wirklich mehr daran geglaubt hatte. lange hats gedauert, bis ich mein ganzes zeug wieder in händen hatte.</p>
<p>intelligenterweise hatte ich im handgepäck nur meinen laptop (ohne netzgerät), eine trompete (bleibt logischerweise immer am mann!), einen ipod und eine kamera.  kein platz wurde an so unwichtigkeiten wie reservekleidung, waschzeug u.ä. verschwendet- sehr intelligent.<br />
und so besaß ich an kleidung nur das, was ich am körper trug. <br />
da mir aber die nette kollegin am gepäck-schalter von swiss international/boston versicherte, dass die koffer im laufe des kommenden tages nachgeliefert wurde, machte ich mir erst mal keine sorgen.<br />
gedauert hats dann tatsächlich 2 tage &#8211; mittlerweile waren sowohl der laptop akku leer, als auch jener vom fotoapparat. ein neues sortiment waschzeug und einige neue kleidungsstücke wurden fällig, um eine komplette verwahrlosung  zu verhindern.<br />
nach unzähligen, tlw. erfolglosen anrufen am flughafen, und ergebnislosen nachfragen bei der rezeption des ywca (die damen dort kannten wohl am ende schon mein anliegen auswendig, und schüttelten schon vorbeugend bedauernd den kopf, sobald ich nur in sichtweite kam), hatte ich die hoffnung fast aufgegeben &#8211; doch dann nahm es doch noch ein gutes ende. es war fast wie weihnachten, als ich meine 2 geschenke &#8211; ähm koffer auspacken durfte.</p>
<p>diese verzögerung war auch der grund dafür, dass mein weblog in der zwischenzeit nicht aktualisiert wurde.<br />
nun ja, was gibts sonst so neues &#8211; meine unterkunft ist wie schon erwähnt gänzlich unluxuriös, aber nach kurzer eingewöhnungsphase ganz ok.<br />
als es allerdings zum ersten mal ans frühstücken ging, wurde ich schon ein wenig nachdenklich.<br />
sehr vertrauenserweckend sahen die küche, in der die gaumenfreuden zubereitet werden, und auch die akteure darin nicht aus. aber es war dann alles halb so schlimm. nach wie vor gewöhnungsbedürftig für oberösterreichische geschmacksvorstellungen ist das batzweiche &#8220;brot&#8221; und die gesalzene butter.<br />
dafür laut auskunft von einem dieser küchenschergen &#8220;without any trans-fat&#8221; &#8211; ist doch was!<br />
abendessen ist auch sehr ok, auch wenns nicht immer so aussieht. anscheinend isst das auge doch nicht mit&#8230;.</p>
<p>habe gestern und heute teils zu fuss, teils mit verkehrsmitteln ein wenig die stadt erkundet.<br />
gefällt mir bisher sehr, sehr gut &#8211; vorallem die charakteristischen roten ziegel-fassaden schauen lässig aus. irgendwie irisch - ist ja anscheinend auch die europäischste aller us-städte.<br />
tolle parks gibts hier, und eine faszinierende mischung aus alt und neu dicht nebeneinander.<br />
fotos gibts aus oben erwähnten gründen leider noch keine neuen, werden aber nachgereicht.</p>
<p>wetter ist sehr wechselhaft, und bei regen und wind kanns tlw.kühl werden. allerdings gibts auch wieder sehr schöne phasen &#8211; hoffentlich überwiegen diese zukünftig.</p>
<p>ach ja, letzte nacht (1:30 am) gabs einen feueralarm im &#8220;hotel&#8221;. dauerte etwas, bis ich, &#8220;tramhappert&#8221; wie ich war,  realisiert hatte was los ist. pflichtbewußt trottete ich über das stiegenhaus 7 stockwerke nach unten in die lobby (=sammelpunkt), wo auch schon die mannen der ff boston eintricksten. ihre lässigkeit und der fehlende brandgeruch bzw. rauch ließen vermuten, dass es sich wohl um einen fehlalarm handeln musste. so war es dann auch, und wir konnten getrost wieder in unsere suiten zurückkehren. außer spesen nix gewesen &#8211; zum glück.</p>
<p>an dieser stelle möchte ich mich einmal für die bisher getätigten kommentare bedanken! &#8211; interressiert also anscheinend doch wen.</p>
<p>ich hoffe, ich kann euch in den nächsten tagen wieder interessante beiträge liefern.<br />

A sa tête, Astrid Fischer, une passionnée tombée amoureuse du Liban aux pires heures de la guerre civile. Trajectoire.</p>
<p>Passions, risques et aventures, coups de foudre et de cœur, la vie d&#8217;Astrid Fischer est un roman. Soleuroise de père et jurassienne de mère, ce petit bout de femme à la cinquantaine flamboyante vient de lancer à Beyrouth « Les amis de la Suisse », un club qui avait connu une première mouture par le passé mais dont la guerre avait sonné le glas dès 1975.<!--more--></p>
<p>Aujourd&#8217;hui, la nouvelle société ambitionne de devenir une vitrine culturelle de la Suisse. Concerts, expositions, projections de films, conférences, excursions et randonnées permettront aux Libanais de mieux connaître notre pays et de raffermir les liens entre les deux peuples.</p>
<p>Lancé à l&#8217;instigation du consul de Suisse Mauro Gobbo, et avec le soutien actif de l&#8217;ambassadeur suisse François Barras, «le plus dynamique des ambassadeurs que j&#8217;ai connu depuis 18 ans au Liban», insiste Astrid, le Club envisage même à terme d&#8217;organiser des échanges d&#8217;enfants entre des familles suisses et libanaises durant les vacances. Un projet des plus ambitieux donc, mais il n&#8217;en fallait pas moins pour intéresser Astrid Fischer.</p>
<p><strong>Rêves d&#8217;aventure</strong></p>
<p>C&#8217;est que la libano-suisse n&#8217;en est pas à son coup d&#8217;essai en termes de défis. Curieuse et passionnée, Astrid Fischer est tombée sous le charme du Pays du Cèdre en 1979 alors qu&#8217;il s&#8217;enfonçait toujours plus profondément dans une guerre commencée 4 ans plus tôt.</p>
<p>«Je venais de terminer mes études de lettres et mon école de recrue dans le repérage d&#8217;avions, raconte Astrid. Je rêvais d&#8217;aventure et j&#8217;ai vu une annonce de la compagnie d&#8217;aviation libanaise Middle East qui cherchait des hôtesses.» Peu impressionnée par l&#8217;écho des combats qui ensanglantaient déjà Beyrouth, Astrid se jette alors sur l&#8217;occasion au grand dam de son entourage.</p>
<p><strong>Baptême du feu</strong></p>
<p>Elle connaît son baptême du feu dès la première année à Beyrouth-Ouest, dans un hôtel Beaurivage subitement noyé dans les combats. Les trois années qui suivent se passent toutefois sans trop d&#8217;encombres jusqu&#8217;à l&#8217;invasion israélienne de 1982 et son cortège d&#8217;horreurs.</p>
<p>«J&#8217;ai pensé à ce moment-là que j&#8217;avais peut-être un peu trop tenté ma chance et j&#8217;ai quitté la MEA pour entrer chez Swissair, raconte Astrid. Mais au fond de moi je savais que c&#8217;est au Liban que je voulais vivre.»</p>
<p>Abonnée aux longs courriers vers le Moyen-Orient, Astrid vit alors une décennie de rêve au sein de Swissair. «Ce fut une époque formidable, s&#8217;enflamme-t-elle. Nous étions la meilleure compagnie du monde. Nous étions respectés pour cela et on le méritait. » Une pointe de tristesse dans la voix, elle confie éprouver encore « beaucoup de nostalgie » pour cette compagnie depuis son catastrophique « grounding».</p>
<p><strong>Kidnapping</strong></p>
<p>Les années passées chez Swissair lui permettent de s&#8217;offrir en 1989 une petite maison à Batroun, petite ville historique en bord de mer au nord de Beyrouth. Son destin libanais est désormais scellé. La même année pourtant, la guerre la rattrape d&#8217;une manière inattendue.</p>
<p>Alors que deux délégués du CICR sont enlevés à Saida, elle est elle-même kidnappée par une milice travaillant avec les services secrets syriens. « Ils m&#8217;accusaient d&#8217;espionnage au profit d&#8217;Israël et de trafic de drogue, se souvient Astrid, ça partait dans tous les sens et je ne savais pas ce qui m&#8217;arrivait. Ils menaçaient de m&#8217;envoyer dans un centre de torture si je n&#8217;avouais pas. »</p>
<p>Finalement, l&#8217;hôtesse de l&#8217;air est relâchée au bout de 10 jours d&#8217;enfer sans autre explication. Mais l&#8217;affaire est très médiatisée et, pour Swissair, plus question d&#8217;inscrire Astrid sur les vols à destination du Moyen-Orient. Lassée, elle donne donc sa démission et repart pour&#8230; le Liban où elle s&#8217;installe cette fois définitivement en 1990 alors que la guerre fait toujours rage.</p>
<p>Une succession de petits boulots dans l&#8217;enseignement lui permettent de vivre les premières années jusqu&#8217;à ce qu&#8217;elle trouve enfin sa place, en 1997, au Centre culturel allemand où elle travaille toujours. C&#8217;est aussi l&#8217;année où elle rencontre Ghassan, un général d&#8217;aviation libanais dont elle aura trois enfants.</p>
<p>Depuis lors, Astrid est aussi devenue la personne de contact de l&#8217;ambassade suisse pour le Nord Liban. En cas de problème, elle a donc pour mission d&#8217;accueillir les ressortissants helvétiques en difficultés. «Lors de la guerre de 2006, précise-t-elle, c&#8217;est surtout ma collègue du Sud qui a été mise à forte contribution.»</p>
<p>Pianiste émérite, elle veut pour l&#8217;heure donner une composante musicale importante aux activités du Club qu&#8217;elle préside désormais et qui organise mercredi soir le concert d&#8217;un quartette libano-suisse à Beyrouth pour célébrer sa naissance.</p>
<p>Parallèlement, Astrid planche déjà sur l&#8217;organisation des festivités du 1er août prochain. Reste à espérer qu&#8217;en ce Liban à l&#8217;avenir encore incertain, cette deuxième mouture des «Amis de la Suisse» ne sera pas elle aussi reléguée aux oubliettes à la force du canon.</p>

De la faillite du fleuron de l’Helvétie aérienne en 2001. Du plus médiatique procès économique jamais tenu dans le pays de janvier à juin 2007. Et surtout du verdict pour les 19 accusés ce fameux 7 juin 2007: acquittés !!! Si, si acquittés !!! De vrais innocents les Mario Corti, Philippe Bruggisser et autres Lukas Muehlemann.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">Vous avez été écoeurés par ce verdict surprenant, mais si attendu, vous n’avez rien compris à cette issue pourtant convenue dans le monde économico-politique actuel, vous ne comprenez plus rien aux décisions de la justice. Après une enquête fine et fouillée, la solution à cet imbroglio sans dénouement crédible est enfin apparue. Grâce à l’intervention fort à propos de la justice… australienne.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;"><!--more--></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">Vous êtes perdus? Remontons 66 jours en arrière, dans le courant du mois d’avril 2008 pour être précis. C’est alors qu’a commencé un grand procès à <a href="http://www.cityofsydney.nsw.gov.au/" target="_blank">Sydney</a>, une audience certes moins tendue que celle de Bülach en 2007, mais néanmoins importante dans la ville. Il s’agissait du procès de deux hommes qui risquaient la perpétuité pour trafic de drogue.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">La procédure a également coûté cher aux contribuables australiens: pas la perte de leur si chère compagnie aérienne, mais l’équivalent approximatif d’un million de francs. Donc pas des cacahuètes, mais rien à voir avec Swissair.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;"><a href="http://alenvers.files.wordpress.com/2008/06/sudoku1.jpg"><img class="alignleft size-medium wp-image-231" src="http://alenvers.wordpress.com/files/2008/06/sudoku1.jpg?w=240" alt="" width="240" height="167" /></a>Et, après 66 jours d’audience, plusieurs jurés, qui semblaient prendre religieusement des notes depuis le début, ont été surpris en train de jouer au <a href="http://www.mots-croises.ch/Sudoku.htm" target="_blank">sudoku</a> pendant les débats!!! Le juge a donc décidé d’annuler le procès des deux hommes et un nouveau commencera dans quelques semaines.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">&#8220;Cela m&#8217;aide à garder mon esprit concentré&#8221;, a admis le juré principal, qui a reconnu devant le juge que quatre à cinq des membres du jury avaient quasiment passé la moitié du procès à jouer au Sudoku. &#8220;Certaines des preuves sont plutôt compliquées et je trouve difficile de maintenir tout le temps mon attention et cela ne me distrait pas trop de la procédure&#8221;, s&#8217;est-il justifié. Et toc!</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">Dans une transposition, on le concède peut-être un peu hasardeuse, imaginons le procès Swissair avec des juges tout aussi attentifs. On les voit sans peine s’adonner gaillardement à des sudokus, ou alors des mots croisés, des mots fléchés, au game boy ou même lire un magazine osé. Il y avait forcément quelque chose et cela explique tout. L’affaire devient limpide, le verdict compréhensible.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">Dire que si le génial <a href="http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sudoku" target="_blank">inventeur des sudokus </a>n’avait pas décidé de se lever ce matin-là, le quidam de la rue de Berne ou de l’avenue de Lausanne aurait eu l’impression de ne pas avoir été pris pour une bille par les sages de Bülach. Cela n’aurait rien changé à sa paisible vie, mais il aurait assurément eu un petit sourire aux lèvres. Mais non le sudoku a brisé net la justice zurichoise et a servi les intérêts de gros bonnets si doués pour jouer les filles de l’air avec le droit suisse.</p>

So well done to the Hurdy Gurdies. Incidentally this shot shows a Fokker 100. Don&#8217;t know why but I always wanted to fly in one of those.</p>

A crew full of Hannahs and they would have stormed it.</p>

Clearly they have learned from experience and crewed up with some &#8220;women of a certain stature&#8221; who would take no nonsense &#8211; plenty was offered.</p>
