Reconozco que soy un verdadero fanático del futbol, durante algunos años mi única obsesión era llegar a ser comentarista deportivo y reunirme con los otros “ases” del mundo del periodismo deportivo en las tertulias tipo “punto pelota”.

Lamentablemente de igual forma que mi locura por llegar a ser el nuevo “Manolo Lama” se esfumó, poco a poco voy perdiendo el interés por el futbol profesional. Hay una cosa que me irrita y que esta propiciando todo este desencanto anunciado: la falta de educación que muestran clubes y jugadores.

Veamos, antes recuerdo que pensaba en los jugadores como una especie de mezcla entre Tom Cruise en Top Gun y Sylvester Stallone en Rocky, es decir, personajes ambiciosos, luchadores y de buen corazón. Al menos en su mayoría. Los técnicos eran para mi algo así como Samuel L. Jackson en Coach Carter y mi abuelo Pepe jugando a las cartas, duros pero comprensivos, inteligentes y motivadores.

Entonces comencé a fijarme más en el día a día del futbol. Peinetas de técnicos a aficionados, insultos de jugadores a aficiones rivales, desamores de la grada hacia las estrellas acompañados de insultos denigrantes, peleas entre compañeros, malas artes…

Creo que el futbol había perdido muchos puntos para mi. Además lejos de recriminar actitudes como esa parece que cada vez se van viendo como algo más normal. ¿La ultima? Apoño, jugador del Málaga durante el encuentro que enfrento al Málaga y al Zaragoza llamó “negro” al jugador Ewerthon después de que el brasileño insultara a su madre.

En 20minutos.es tenéis la noticia entera, pero me deja “pasmao” como el jugador del Málaga se justifica. Sinceramente creo que va llegando el momento de que la FIFA tome medidas mas serias con el comportamiento de quienes representan el oficio de actores de este inmenso circo que genera tanto dinero y beneficios que es el futbol.

Se deben acabar las muestras de violencia desmedida por medio de entradas brutales, los insultos a rivales, compañeros, aficionados… la prepotencia de técnicos y dirigentes, la arrogancia de algunos cracks…

OJO!!!!

Entiendo que los clubes son empresas privadas que buscan maximizar beneficios, pero no deberían olvidar que el futbol lo hacen entre todos y que si quieren seguir llegando al público, ser los ídolos de los niños y en definitiva que yo “esporádicamente” me gaste mi dinero en ir a verles a algún estadio, deben crear alguna forma de control mas allá de las ridículas multas que cualquier profesional del futbol puede pagar hasta con los ojos cerrados.

Nadie espera que Messi sea un modelo de conducta, entre otras cosas porque es un chaval que lo único que hace durante el día es ir de entrenamiento en entrenamiento y de partido en partido, pero al menos que no vaya dando mal ejemplo a niños y mayores (que no lo hace porque el comportamiento del Argentino es muy bueno).

¿Hasta cuando tendremos los aficionados tener que seguir aguantando como este tipo de cosas siguen dándose en nuestro futbol?

Se dice que el futbol es el opio del pueblo, que sirve para tener tranquilos y doblegados a las masas e impedir que gasten las energías en cosas más importantes, creo que la cosa no es tan maquiavélica, que simplemente el futbol es algo pensado para mover dinero, con millonarios intereses escondidos en las espaldas de “supuestos cracks” que a veces firman contratos escapando de la miseria de sus países.

Sin embargo deberían empezar a preocuparse quienes  financian este negocio, entre amaños, estafas y “cosas feas” cada vez se va descubriendo un futbol mas alejado de el que nos quieren vender y eso al final repercute en “la pela” que es lo que mas les duele a los que mueven este percal.

I’ve often been asked what a Still Photographer does on the set. That answer is that we are hired to document the filming of a production from start to finish. Of course this includes recording what is going on in front of the camera but also what goes on behind it. We also do set stills, wardrobe stills, and makeup stills that are very important to the continuity of the film. Our work is used for all of the film’s marketing and advertising campaigns that will include posters, magazines, newspapers, billboards, books, and merchandise.

The best thing about the job for me was that you are a committee of one and very few people know what you are really doing there. Much of the cooperation and friendship that I have gotten over the years from the acting talent has come from the several 11×14 prints that I give them early on in the production. You would be amazed at how much that helps. For the most part, I always felt I had the best job on the set especially when I worked with Steve McQueen and Sylvester Stallone where I had full control over what I did and who saw it. It was a great job as long as you were completely prepared and paid attention to what was going on around you.

AKA: O PÁNICO NO TÚNEL É DEIXAREM O STALLONE A SOLTA.

Eis mais uma entrega de Mr. Sylvester Stallone num Disaster Movie. Se estão a perguntar se quando falo de Disaster falo do argumento ou do filme em si, posso responder que será um pouco de ambos. Após um roubo, normal, numa noite normal da cidade de NY, os fugitivos vão de encontro a um camião que transporta residuos tóxicos e também explosivos. Visto que o camião perde o controlo, vai de encontro as paredes do túnel onde se encontrava, provocando que o mesmo desabe. É então que Kit Latura (meu deus, mas quem escolhe estes nomes), condutor de limos e ex-chefe do departamento de controlo de emergências da cidade, decide resgatar o povo qu ficou aprisionado dentro do túnel. Filme catástrofe, com final feliz. Mas nas bilheteiras não rendeu o que dele se esperava. De Rob Cohen, com Sylvester Stallone, Amy Brenneman, Viggo Mortensen, Dan Hedaya, Jay O. Making The (Up) Grade: Rocky

While new Blu-rays of old movies are sometimes dubious replacements for prior editions (hence the need for this column), box sets released in the high-definition format have thus far been fairly helpful, at least in terms of shelf space: many or most of them forego a lot of the frills and flourishes of their standard-definition iterations in favor of more streamlined packaging. Unfortunately, that’s also sometimes extended to their extras, thanks in no small part to the legal entanglements of transferring commentaries and bonus content from one format to another.

Both Warner Brothers and Fox have faced this challenge a couple of times thanks to their ownership/ adoption of the libraries of MGM and United Artists, which until a few years ago issued their own releases. Rocky, which is one of United Artists’ premier franchises, was recently released on Blu-ray in The Undisputed Collection, a set that contains all six of the films in the series, but it remains to be seen whether complete also means comprehensive in this particular case.

What’s Already Available:

Rocky was previously released several times on DVD both as a standalone title and in Rocky-themed box sets. 2006’s Rocky Anthology featured remastered versions of the first five films (it was released prior to Rocky Balboa) and no extra content. Meanwhile, a Special Edition of the first film was released in December of that same year and featured three commentaries, a three-part making of documentary called “In The Ring,” seven featurettes, TV spots and trailers, deleted scenes and a collectible booklet.

What’s In The New Set: The Undisputed Collection features all of the films as well as a bonus that has more than three hours of extras and special features. Additionally, all of the films are presented in high definition with 5.1 DTS-HD audio tracks, or in Rocky Balboa’s case, English PCM 5.1 uncompressed audio.

What’s The Difference In The Movie Itself: Like many Blu-ray reissues of films more recently released or updated on DVD, the films basically feature the same transfers as their standard-definition version, albeit now presented in uncompressed high definition. Much like the DVD transfer for the ‘06 edition, Rockyshows its age (and its initial price tag) with picture presentation that has a lot of grain and soft detail, but with the exception of the new film, which was transferred to HD when it was originally put on DVD, it by far looks the best of the series.

According to online information the ‘06 Anthology set boasted remastered presentation of the other films as well, but here they’re all grainy and muted, with soft colors and a focus that quite frankly should be sharper in high definition. Meanwhile, in terms of the content of the films, they’re all the same as in previous sets, with no edits or changes implemented.

What’s The Difference In Everything Else: This set unfortunately is a victim, at least in part, of the same rules that kept the bonus materials for Robocop off of its Blu-ray release. None of the films have commentaries, which means that the first film lost all three of the existing ones, and the new ones, well, they never received (and one might argue, they never deserved) one. Further, almost all of the special features on Disc Seven are the same as the ones on the ‘06 Rocky Special Edition, which begs the question why the commentaries couldn’t also carry over in addition to the featurettes and other stuff.

That said, the material is all genuinely interesting – a featurette about Steadicam inventor Garrett Brown explores a footnote in filmmaking history that is virtually unknown to anyone outside the industry – but again it would have been interesting to see something new among these existing extras, or in lieu of that a sort of one-stop set that collected everything together.

What’s The Final Grade: C. The appeal of the Rocky series is mostly predicated on personal experience – all of the films aren’t great – so if you saw certain ones at important times in your life (at least cinematically speaking), then this set is a must own. But for folks on the fence, the transfers are definitely not terrific, and the slate of extras is incomplete, especially if you’ve already spent some money on making this palooka a winner.

I really like this photo becasue it embodies struggle. But I have always had the idea that struggle is the one constant on this earth that is always right. Next time you complain about how bad you got it here in America think about this guy (who kinda looks like Sylvester Stallone) and know that you could have it worse.

Formación MBA para deportistas

La historia es conocida, deportistas que después de haber ganado millones de dólares durante su momento cúspide perdieron su fortuna, ya sea por un mal negocio o malgastarlo de forma indiscriminada.

Según un informe de la revista estadounidense Sports Illustrated, 60% de los jugadores de la Asociación Nacional de Baloncesto de ese país (NBA), en su mayoría “bien pagados”, se quedan sin dinero a los cinco años de finalizar su carrera deportiva.

Un claro ejemplo fue lo que sucedió con el basquetbolista Scottie Pippen, seis veces campeón de la NBA, dos veces campeón Olímpico, integrante del mítico “Dream Team” del 92 y considerado uno de los 50 mejores jugadores de la historia. Ganó cerca de 120 millones de dólares, sin embargo los problemas económicos lo han atormentado.

El cine también ha sido espejo de esta situación. Este es el caso de la película “Rocky” donde su protagonista, un boxeador ítaloamericano (Rocky Balboa), encarnado por el actor Sylvester Stallone, logra ser campeón del mundo de los “pesos pesados”, acumulando una fortuna que perdería debido a los malos negocios.

Pero también hay casos opuestos: deportistas que gracias a sus acertadas decisiones en los negocios y asesorados por personas que se manejan en el mundo empresarial han sabido incrementar sus fortunas.

Shaquille O’Neal, conocido basquetbolista de la NBA, supo mezclar su talento con el reconocimiento mediático para amasar su fortuna en estratégicos negocios. En la actualidad se desarrolla como administrador de negocios en la Universidad de Phoenix.

En México también existen ejemplos: recientemente fue conocido el caso del volante de Monterrey, Luís Ernesto Pérez, quien ha iniciado un proyecto enfocado a los niños. Se trata del “Centro de Cuidado y Crecimiento“, una guardería con servicios de apoyo educativo y con la innovación que abre sus puertas las 24 horas del día.

Dentro de este contexto, la formación de posgrados se establece entonces como una buena salida laboral para deportistas de todas las ramas.

Entre el deporte y los negocios

Los deportistas de élite disfrutan de un éxito social y económico que han de saber gestionar adecuadamente en la finalización de su carrera deportiva. Quizás asistir a una escuela de negocios pueda ser el mejor impulso a su carrera.

Un deportista podría considerarse como un candidato perfecto para estudiar un MBA. Una de las principales ventajas es que las personas que han dedicado su vida al deporte tienen arraigadas algunas características como el liderazgo y el trabajo en equipos, aspectos esenciales para salir con éxito en el mundo de los negocios.

Cuando se combinan un gran nivel de la disciplina, trabajo y  una educación MBA se pueden alcanzar “excepcionales empleados y líderes de negocios”, asegura Jennifer Mae Shores, directora de admisiones en el MBA de UCLA Anderson School of Management.

Tan cierto es, que muchas universidades han comenzado a utilizar la estrategia deportiva como una materia más dentro de sus contenidos.

Sin embargo, muy pocos deportistas cursan estos programas, sin saber que para muchos, la educación empresarial podría marcar la diferencia entre mantenerse como millonario o ir a la bancarrota.

Los primeros casos

Conscientes de este potencial, la liga de fútbol americano de Estado Unidos (NFL) está reforzando la educación de sus jugadores, enviándoles a diversos programas de educación superior.

La Universidad Camilo José Cela de España, en colaboración con el Comité Olímpico de ese país (COE), también ha puesto en marcha diferentes acciones formativas orientadas a los deportistas, para que no pierdan la oportunidad de formarse y ampliar sus posibilidades de desarrollo personal.

El proyecto intenta ofrecer la posibilidad de realizar una carrera universitaria “a la medida”, que se adapte a sus horarios de entrenamiento, competiciones y viajes.

De forma autónoma, el COE desarrolla cursos de posgrado, donde dará facilidades para acoger a alumnos becarios en prácticas y cederá instalaciones para albergar conferencias y seminarios de este tipo, que incentiven a otros deportistas.

Por su parte, la Business Engineering School (BES) La Salle ofrece, desde el año 2004, el programa “Executive MBA in Sport Management”, que ofrece formación empresarial en la gestión de las distintas entidades relacionadas con esta materia, especial para ex deportistas.

En la misma línea, la escuela de negocios de Europa “EAE Business School”, reconoce en su sitio web la necesidad de una gestión económica en el deporte. “Nos hemos dado cuenta de que existe una deficiencia de profesionalidad en los clubes privados y en la gestión”, dice Óscar Coduras, director del “MBA & Sports Management de EAE”.

Girato nel 1984 con l’obiettivo dichiarato di essere un blockbuster “Rocky per adolescenti” (non a caso il regista è lo stesso del film con Stallone, John G. Avildsen), Karate Kid ha ereditato dal suo fratello maggiore cinematografico anche la colonna sonora. La canzone di Joe Esposito era infatti stata scritta originariamente per Rocky III, anche se alla fine è stata scelta The Eye of The Tiger per il terzo episodio della saga più famosa del cinema.
Due i riferimenti pugilistici e a Rocky in particolare nel testo: «History repeats itself» («La storia si ripete») e «You’ll reach the final bell» («Arriverai fino all’ultima campana»). Ma questi sono solo dettagli per gli storici: qui a Radio Rock quello che conta sono le emozioni e You’re the Best con la sua ritmica sincopata, il suo ritornello orecchiabile e il finale in crescendo è il simbolo di una generazione che vuole continuare a credere di poter cambiare le cose solo grazie al coraggio e che si può ancora stare dalla parte dei buoni e vincere. Perché se lo vogliamo veramente e se amiamo per davvero c’è un Daniel San in ognuno di noi.

“El par inesperado: Dios y ‘ Rocky ‘ Stallone”, así lo llamó un periódico en San Francisco. Sin embargo, a pesar de la sorpresa de los medios y muchos sectores cristianos la verdad es que Stallone ha declarado su fe cristiana y asegura que la nueva historia de Rocky VI posee una marcada influencia con la figura y las enseñanzas de Jesucristo.

“No importa el pasado. Si miras a Dios, puedes renacer”. Estas fueron las palabras que Sylvester Stallone pronunció en una teleconferencia con líderes religiosos, uno de los actos de la campaña de promoción de Rocky Balboa, que el actor ha centrado en un público cristiano que, como demostró el éxito de La Pasión de Cristo, sigue ganando peso en Hollywood.

Stallone –que creció educado en la religión católica antes de dejarse “llevar por la tentación”– abrió esa conversación con líderes religiosos recordando que el primer plano en el Rocky original es un cuadro de Jesucristo que parece mirar al boxeador. Y aseguró que Balboa vive siguiendo el ejemplo cristiano. “Perdona. No es amargo. Siempre pone la otra mejilla. Y es como si toda su vida la pusiera al servicio a los demás”, explicó el actor, que llegó a definir la iglesia como “el gimnasio del alma”.

Stallone firmó con la compañía “Motive Entertainment” para promocionar “Rocky VI”, la misma que ha promocionado películas cristianas como “Las Crónicas de Narnia” y “La Pasión de Cristo”. Para ello se ha publicado el sitio web www.rockyresources.com para promover la película, el sitio cuenta con recursos cristianos de enseñanza cristiana.

Es difícil imaginar cómo entrarán los valores cristianos en el discurso de Stallone cuando se meta el año que viene en la piel de otra de sus creaciones emblemáticas que también vuelve a la pantalla: Rambo. Difícil pero no imposible. Lo ha definido como “un guerrero cristiano”.

Looks official…..the cast line up is crazy

So I figured since we are already in the mood for Stallone with last blogs update on possible Rambo 5 plotlines-wait, Rambo movies have plots?!! Anyway I just saw the official trailer finally for The Expendables! The all star cast action movie that’s written and directed by Sly himself! This movie is a throwback to 80’s action flicks and is sure to deliver the goods! Lots of explosions, machine guns and one liners! I found out that the trailer has been up now for a week or so but I don’t care-I just saw it for the first time ( plus a couple weeks ago when I checked it was taken down for some reason) and it looks like alot of fun! I still can’t believe Van Damme turned this down-what a shmuck! check it out…

There are a lot of details out on the web right now about the changing course of the new Rambo movie. From this dork’s perspective, as the news developed there was a lot of happiness and a lot of sadness. This has been a roller coaster ride of action and suspense. But it appears that the most recent news is completely inconclusive…is Stallone caving to the pressure of fans and critics…why start now, you made Rambo IV for crying out loud. I believe this would have been a clear signal to film critics and business that you were not really interested in what they think.

So the questions are simple…Stallone…you gonna break?

Let’s paint a quick chronology:

First, 2008, the return…Rambo IV! Not sure what you other dorks thought about the last Rambo flick, but I felt it delivered in all the right departments in the Rambo Shopping Mall. You know like action, blood, death, flying body parts, jungles, steaming gun muzzles! If you have not seen this movie and dig action, I highly recommend it, here is a taste…

Second, August 2009, the announcement…Rambo V: The Savage Hunt! Hell, I think you can make the same movie 20 times and I will still dig it…I mean how can you screw up blood uncontrollable action. Just change up some villains, victims, and the sweaty scenery and you got a whole new 90 minute experience.

Apparently it was originally announced by Variety that Rambo V was going to be about John Rambo navigating his way through human traffickers and drug lords to rescue a young girl abducted near the U.S.-Mexico border. Sounds simple enough to me, and according to CNN there is no more a dangerous locale on Earth right now than at the U.S.-Mexico border and no more villainous scum as the drug cartel. If CNN’s Michael Ware reports from this place…it is like the most god forsaken recipe for death you could ever encounter.

Third, September2009, more details on The Savage Hunt! Stallone comes out with an announcement about part V being basically Predator with John Rambo in the Arnold part…yeah, you got it…a savage hunt for a beast! Here is the synopsis that was floating around the web…

John Rambo could track anyone – or anything – on earth. Now the military desperately needs him for a mission that his ultrasensitive instincts tell him he should refuse. A beast is loose somewhere north of the Artic Circle. It has already decimated a secret research facility and annihilated a squad of elite military guards. And the raging creature is headed south toward civilization, ready to wreak bloody devastation.

It’s a job that Rambo and his 22-year-old hunting partner, Beau Brady, can’t turn down, but they and a team of highly-skilled special forces kill team discover that the prey is a terror beyond their wildest imagination – a half-human abomination created by a renegade agency through a series of outlawed genetic experiments. It has man’s cunning, a predator’s savageness, and a prehistoric power that has transcended the ages. And even if Rambo and Beau survive its unrelenting hunger for human blood, they’ll still have to confront the grim reality that it may have grown immortal.

I realize that this kind of story can be pretty polarizing to the Rambo fan base (if there is one), but hell with them. I thought this concept was awesome. Kind of like if you had a couple parts Predator and Watchers and mixed it with some traditional Rambo bad ass action…and blood…and beasts! Yeah!

Fourth, November 2009, change of plans, WTF?!??! So it seems that the August announcement triggers some negative reactions among the fans and so Stallone comes out and releases this completely cryptic and uncertain announcement. According to MovieWeb.com, Stallone announced:

“I’m letting you know that Rambo has changed course and the story about hunting the man/beast will be done using another character in the lead. RAMBO himself will be heading over the border to a violent city where many young women have vanished”

What the hell does this mean? Is this going to happen in the same movie? How the hell do you pull that off? This sounds like to two places and two leads…that sure adds up two movies in my mind. And why the wavering on the original plot Sylvester? You chicken, can’t take it? I seem to remember this quote from Rocky!

“The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It is a very mean and nasty place and it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t how hard you hit; it’s about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward. How much you can take, and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done.”

Well, regardless, the movie got the green light to start up in the Spring of 2010 and is slated for a 2011 release. And maybe, just maybe, there will be another course correction by Stallone and he will try to get Weird Al for the lead role to complete the epic Rambo parody that started in UHF!

esta noticia fue dada por el mismo Sylvester Stallone en una reciente entrevista que le realizaran. Según lo que adelantó, el gobierno creará un programa para crear supersoldados, pero algunos de los resultados son aberraciones altamente peligrosas. Cuando una de estas criaturas escapa, es cuando su personaje interviene.

Creo que solo queda esperar el 2011 para ver que tanto puede dar Stallone en esta ultima entrega de Rambo.

Of course, I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention this week’s cheesecake.  The lucky lady this week is Julie Bowen currently starring on ABC’s breakout hit, Modern Family.  This is far and away the funniest new show on television and you’re doing yourself a disservice if you’re not watching it.  You may also recognize Julie from Boston Legal, Happy Gilmore or, most of the GonzoGeek staff’s favorite, Ed.

Stephe and I originally had Julie slated for cheesecake duty a couple of weeks ago, but had a hard time finding the appropriate picture.  We’re sure glad we waited.  I bet you are too.

Quick piece of Modern Family trivia.  According to Wikipedia, Ed O’Neill, who plays the family patriarch, Jay Pritchett, is  a black belt in Gracie Jiu-Jitsu.  You don’t mess with Al Bundy kids.

De acuerdo a lo que declaró Sylvester Stallone en una reciente entrevista, la nueva entrega de Rambo, que llevará por título Rambo: The Savage Hunt, tendrá elementos de ciencia ficción en la trama. Según lo que adelantó, el gobierno creará un programa para crear supersoldados, pero algunos de los resultados son aberraciones altamente peligrosas. Cuando una de estas criaturas escapa, es cuando su personaje interviene. La misma se espera pueda ser lanzada para el 2011, y estará arrancando la filmación para el primer trimestre del año próximo.

No hay mejor palabra que la primera, parecen haber pensado los responsables de Rambo V. Sylvester Stallone ha confirmado el nuevo giro en el argumento de su película, enésimo regreso a la gran pantalla del icónico personaje. Recordemos que Sly nos dejó a todos alucinados con una sinopsis en la que el veterano de Vietnam encabezaba la cacería de un monstruo creado por el gobierno, una historia que rompía con la tradición de la saga al tocar géneros como el terror y la ciencia ficción. Al parecer esa película se hará, pero con otro personaje como protagonista y tal vez con el propio Stallone involucrado en la realización del mismo. Rambo por su parte, vuelve a la idea original de esta quinta parte, que trasladaba al soldado a la frontera con México para rescatar a una joven secuestrada por un cartel de la droga local. Con esta sinopsis se presentó el proyecto y con esa se desarrollará finalmente con Sylvester Stallone como protagonista, director y guionista.

No mínimo é curioso ver Rambo. O carisma de Sylvester Stallone na  tela do cinema. A tradição deste ator na interpretação de um personagem muito exigente. Um personagem que, por sua vez, não exige muito de um ator. Estamos no campo do carisma pura e simplesmente. Não há muito o que dizer a respeito sobre o dom da performance dramática. Eis um tipo de coisa que se pode discutir somente quando o próprio filme a reinvindica.

Mas ainda assim estamos no campo do cinema e aqui, em particular, da evolução de um de seus maiores símbolos. Cunhado a princípio como um personagem, o vetereno de guerra do Vietnã, abandonado pelo seu próprio país e entregue a humilhação, assume diversas faces no decorrer de sua saga. Falarei de cada episódio mais adiante mas começando por este Rambo IV ou, simplesmente, John Rambo.

John Rambo é o título do filme. Começa destacando o herói-de-guerra como ser humano através de seu nome real. Está no centro do que existe na guerra entre os povos: a ajuda humanitária. Não é arma ideológica. A ficção violenta do cinema imita com perfeição as amputações, mutilações e assassinatos cometidos nas guerras do mundo real. Um verossímel herói-de-guerra que sobrevive a um lugar aonde milhares morreram termina assim como ele sempre foi. Um herói.

Este é o futuro de John Rambo. Que me desculpem os preconceituosos.

Hace unos meses comentábamos que la intención que tenía Sly acerca de la quinta parte de Rambo era llevarla a un campo nunca visto antes en la franquicia, más cercano a la ciencia ficción. Pues al parecer ha cambiado de idea, y parece ser que el argumento podría girar entorno al rumoreado en las primeras ocasiones en el que nos decían que Rambo se embarcaría en una cruzada personal contra los traficantes de seres humanos y los señores de la droga, para rescatar a una joven secuestrada cerca de la frontera que separa Estados Unidos y México.

Y es que el actor a declarado que «la caza del hombre-bestia se hará en cualquier otro momento», lo que puede significara que no solo piensa en “Rambo V” sino también en “Rambo VI”, ya que en esta ocasión «Rambo tendrá su punto de partida en la frontera de una ciudad violenta, donde muchas jóvenes mujeres han desaparecido»

Lo que si es seguro es que «habrá sangre».

Sometimes cable television is the best.  At 11PM I started watching Rocky II and didn’t stop til it ended much too late for a guy like me who has to get up at 6:40 to take care of 4 kids with his wife.

Mick, Rocky’s grizzled trainer loses patience with Rocky. Rocky knows his wife does not approve of his upcoming fight and he can’t focus. What does Mick do?

Tough love.

Go away, go back to the docks where you belong. You go back to bein’ a two bit nothin’.

But don’t you ever come back here again. Because I’m too old to waste my time tryin’ to train a no good loser like you. YOU BUM!”

There are times when you must channel the inner Mick to put your message across. Don’t mince words. Be like Mick.

AKA – ANTES DE SER RAMBO FUI GUARDA-REDES

Bem, misturar no mesmo filme nazis, prisioneiros de guerra, futebol e fugas parece impossível. Mas não o é. Sylvester Stallone é a estrela da companhia neste filme de, pasmem-se John Huston. Escape to Victory ou simplesmente Victory é um filme sobre futebol e sobre a vontade de viver. A acção do filme desenrola-se durante a II Guerra Mundial, num campo de prisioneiros, onde o passatempo do povo é jogar à bola. Durante uma investigação, por parte da Cruz Vermelha à morte de um prisioneiro que decidiu dar uma escapadinha até à casa de meninas mais próxima, perdão, decidiu fugir do referido campo e foi crivado de balas de metralhadora, um major da referida comitiva convida um capitão inglês a formar uma equipa de POW’s para se defrontar contra a equipa da Alemanha Nazi. É um filme onde vamos encontrar estrelas do futebol, tais como: Pelé, Osvaldo Ardiles, Bobby Moore, John Wark, Kazimierz, Lindsted e Van Himst e mais de metade da equipa do Ipswich Town F.C. Este filme é baseado no filme Két félidő a pokolban (Duas Partes no Inferno), de Zoltán Fábri, que se baseia na hístória verdadeira dos jogadores do Dinámo de Kiev que defrontaram a equipa Nazi na Ucrânia ocupada e que após a sua vitória foram enviados para campos de concentração e mortos. De salientar o erro relativamente ao campo onde o jogo decorre. Colombes foi realmente um campo de futebol, que albergava 45 000 pessoas e não as 50 000 referidas no filme. O estádio mudou de nome em 1928, o que implica que na altura da II WW, já não tinha esse nome. Para os tarados da bola, ficam as belas imagens do jogo de futebol, com planos em câmara lenta e a indicação que o verdadeiro estádio onde o jogo decorre é o Hidegkuti Nándor Statium em Budapeste, na Hungria. De John Huston, com Sylvester Stallone, Michael Caine, Pelé, Bobby Moore, Osvaldo Ardiles, Paul Van Himst, Kazimierz Deyna, Hallvar Thoresen, Mike Summerbee, Co Prins, Russell Osman, John Wark, Søren Lindsted, Kevin O’Callaghan e Max von Sydow.
