The free, feature-rich and popular S60 task manager, Jbak TaskMan, was just updated to V0.99. The nice point about this release is that now it can be installed on all S60 3rd Edition handsets as unlike its previous releases it is SymbianSigned. You can perform the following tasks using Jbak TaskMan:

Find and start the desired application by pressing “#” key and typing the first letters of its name.

Create shortcuts in the Launch Menu to start applications, open documents or execute specific tasks.

Get full information about running programs and free memory left on the phone (RAM, Phone memory and Memory card).

Switch to or Close any application — it can close Gallery & Music player too.

Run Jbak TaskMan by pressing and holding the Menu key (like the built-in Task manager).

Lock keypad from any screen.

Reboot your phone.

The application (which isn’t fully screen reader-friendly) is developed and maintained by the Russian Symbian programmer Juriy Bakunin. The 0.99 release is also available for S60 6.X, 7.X and 8.X handsets.

Hey Guys ,

sorry for not blogging too much lately , But Tests in College really makes you forget everything about anything !!!

Anyway , Updates From the Nokia Blogosphere this week :

Samir just released a YTPlayer , Enabling searching and playing Youtube Videos in Flash Lite 3 DE , Though i prefer till now m.vtap.com way of surfing on youtube . but lets wait and see next betas

Also Samir promised to release the final Version yesterday !! still not released , keep your eyes on bysamir.fr

Also Symbiansigned.com has been updated , i still don’t know the new ways of signing applications but here’s the Press Release :

Symbian Signed has changed. Three new and simplified signing options are available to developers, supported by a new (and lower cost) Certificate Authority.

Open Signed, has updated and replaced Developer Certificate signing, making it easy for developers to sign applications for limited deployment to known devices, either for testing or for personal use. The online-only option is coming soon.

Express Signed, a new option similar to Self Certification, is available to all developers, either directly (for those who own a Publisher ID), or via publisher partners (for those who do not).

Certified Signed, has updated and replaced the mainstream signing option based on independent testing by a Symbian accredited Test House.

TCTrustCenter is the Certificate Authority for Symbian Signed, responsible for issuing and validating Publisher ID digital certificates (but existing ACS Publisher Certificates issued by VeriSign will remain valid for Open Signed and Certified Signed)

Also , Nokia Released two applications that i adore and are very useful , the first one is channels from Nokia Beta Labs which basically brings newspapers like AlJazzera (Though it’s a TV Network ) and New York Times to the ultimate mobile version , making Newspapers a thing from the past , the application is still in beta but has some cool features like auto-rotation , if you’re interested download from here

and the other application “Nokia Activity Monitor ” is you’re new running buddy , it can calculate Energy burned in Kcal , Distance you run in km , and step count , a great application for those working out and running their heart out , Click here to download application

I was soo excited a month ago when i contacted WOM World and they Promised to send me a device to trial , though i completed every form they sent me , they didn’t reply back and a WOM World Blogger promised me to trial the N82 , <strike>but they didn’t contact me since , so no big reviews for now</strike>
