For the first time, homeowners are faced with a multitude of questions to which you have questions about home security systems. If homeowners want to install an alarm system, but rather to pay more questions. In an attempt to help homeowners, some of the most frequently asked questions about alarm systems products listed below.

A very obvious question is whether an alarm function in case of power failure. This is a very good question, such as during aPower failure, feel it is quite common for homeowners to strike vulnerable, and a seemingly good time for thieves. However, the reality is that almost any alarm system is installed now a backup battery for use in the event of a power failure has developed. In addition, many companies, the backup battery status monitor and inform homeowners if the battery needs changing. Most backup battery takes several hours, so unless the power is for an extended amount ofTime to be homeowners have insurance.

A second question that homeowners often ask is whether to operate their alarm systems in case of loss of a phone line. This is also an important issue, especially given the fact that many people rely more on cell phones today than they have fixed, which means that at times they can not even when a phone line is down. Also of concern, the possibility is true that a burglar may be able to a reductionTelephone line before entering a home. Most companies offer the option of a built-in wireless network alarms, which means that service is not dependent on a fixed line. This is especially important for alarm systems that use VoIP technology, means that they have an Internet connection to use instead of a phone line. Also worth mentioning is the possibility of a direct radio link, which is offered by many companies. In these cases, a direct wireless connection is establishedbetween homeland and Security Center in the event that an alarm is triggered, even if there is no power or phone line failure. While the cellular and wireless connections from most companies are available, this is an important issue for homeowners prior to the signing of an agreement to ask security.

Many homeowners have their dogs at home when she for a security system. Not wanting their animals all day, is another common co-whether the family dogan alarm system every time he or she will rise up to the squirrels, bark at the postman to see, or get a drink of water. The answer to this question really depends on the type, and especially the size, the family dog. Most alarm systems can be set to ignore the inner movement of pets weighing less than 60 pounds, with other scan patterns that avoid to run free with areas of the house, in the animals. As in the previous question by phoneLines, is the issue of pet identification is an important issue for homeowners to ask before a security and surveillance equipment to choose operation.

Image : http://www.flickr.com

We all like shopping, and window shopping in particular is even more fun. But what if you have been doing some real shopping, for example, shopping for an Auto Sound System.

It’s most likely that you’ve come across a myriad of Auto Audio Systems and Entertainment Systems and many more while treating yourself to a shopping spree. Auto Audio System makers are these days going to the extreme to offer you everything from headphones (perhaps adjustable), individual speakers to headphones, and what about dual players that can allow different audio formats to be played in one sector of the car than another. Marvel of technology perhaps. All this brilliant and convenient devices and much more are aimed at enticing and luring you the consumer to spent more of your cash on these fancy designed Auto Sound System. Be it an MP3 that directly connects to the Auto Audio systems of your car or truck, you will find it.

It remains and will always be a security concern, especially for the safety Conscious among us, about the justification of having a DVD System in your vehicle.

Notwithstanding that, a majority of the populace will continue to equip their automobiles with DVD players for sound and entertainment. Auto Audio System manufacturers on their side will continue to improve and beautifully package these devices while offering extraordinary offers on installation. This of course goes contrary to popular believe that all this offers distraction to drivers. I belong to a group of the few who feel that in these technology driven days of PDAs, Notebooks, Fast Foods, Instant coffee, and multitasking, a DVD or VCD at the back is one of the ideal element that can be added to a vehicle to provide that much needed distraction at times from daily road rage and hassles of daily commute.

Though I’m not surprised that many people don’t seem to see what this is got to do with an Audio Sound System, somehow I understand them. One of the magical features being offered by Auto Audio System product manufacturers is an aspect that permits back seated passengers to use individual headphones together with mini LCD screens build into the head rests to see and hear what is being played by the DVD system player in the front without causing distraction to the driver.

It’s an understandable fact that having noise from a back placed DVD player is akin to the distraction caused by the presence of disgruntled preteens fighting for your attention from their seats in the back or listening to audio books while commandeering the vehicle altogether. I without shame confess that audio books are one of my readily admitted addictions. I mostly limit my books to interesting and well-liked stories that are suited for children whenever I’m riding with kids along, because it mostly saves the steamy and sometimes riotous account of Stephanie Plum for when I’m driving alone. Another good reason is to have an Auto Audio System that both reads and understands MP3.

This technology is a reality and available and We should expect to see more amazing innovations that speak technologically of Auto Systems for Sound and entertainment in the future. Our world is technologically active and evolutions spanned by innovations are inevitable. This makes the possibility of wonderful features a realizable reality in the near future.

Whether you are a newbie to modern technology or its your biggest nemesis, or just enjoy riding its wave, it won’t stop down. This sounds the alarm that the days of old and its obsolete products including Auto Sounds Systems are fast coming to an end. Hence the comic yarn that we are swiftly being converted into a society that’s edging up towards the “Jetson’s envisioned future” I therefore bemoan my deficiency of a Rosie. At most I’m joy filled to see that novel technologies in Auto Sound Systems are indeed versatile to offering more than before.

Image : http://www.flickr.com

If you're like me, is very interesting from a tan. However, this is the sunlight needed to achieve the nice tan, is anything but attractive. I would add that the words that some sun exposure is important in ensuring that your body gets the right amount of vitamin D, and that levels of melatonin fluctuate accordingly. Apart from spurts of sun exposure, is not safe for your skin get so much more than that. If so, you are the face of the complication of, Burning, and even serious problems like skin cancer. Here I review a product that is not to get a natural tan, I go through it to expose me to dangerous levels of sun exposure – Sunsplash Tanning and D Lite (No Tan) system.

It all started when my friend visited a local tanning beds. The results have been achieved noteworthy. Their justification for the continuation of this method in the tannery was that she was too busy to spend hours in the sun to get a tan thatwanted after all these years. Then it struck me that I tan in tanning bed exposure, I always dreamed to accomplish. You see, I work from home to teach, and I think that two active boys from home. My husband has worked from home, but often not scraping the barrel long enough for all the things we had to do on a day to day – much less time to visit a solarium.

My husband and I have done and said it would taketake care of things, if that's what I wanted to do, but be careful. I was so excited! By the time I took tanning research. I soon learned that this form of tanning offers no health benefits, and over time, it can actually damage your organs and caused other internal components of the body! Needless to say, I quickly changed my mind about this little experiment, and never arrived, the solarium. My interest was peaked, however, and I decided that I should take the time todetermine whether there are other safe alternatives to tanning beds. This is when I click on a site that Sunsplash Tanning and D Lite (No Tan was sold) systems.

Now, discovered by this method of sun, I know that is almost the same amount of sunlight that produces the real sun, which means that it helped the body receives an adequate amount of vitamin D product. The levels of melatonin can be adjusted through the use of these tanning systems, which includes abouteight different lights. So, basically, this was much safer than conventional tanning beds because it uses reflective technology to help the light rays, the tanning of the skin, and provide nutrients to supply the body! I do not think I could.

Now, after only a few months with the Sunsplash Tanning and D Lite (No Tan) system, I sport a tan luxury. In addition, I am happy and I feel better about the whole street. I recommend this system to anyone who wishes only!

ads – e LMS Pro – complete learning software package.

Let’ glean real here – successful brokers are different, here’s why:

Big Goals – All well-heeled brokers have great goalss. After all if you can’t believe generous, on clay do you eexpect to effect big? Successs brokers aren’t afraid to about large; reflective big results in big goals and big goals get you BIG RESULTS.

Just guess, what would happen of you actually declared a big goal you are secretting wishing suitable afraid to take on? You’d purposes reach it!

Daily Planning – An outrageously successful stockbroker wouldn’t ddream of starrting his (or her) day without spending time first thing the morning planning date. This includes creating a inventory of calls be made, emails to be sent, deciding what correspondence needs to go out, reviewiing what movement steps to take, and so on.

Daily planning guarantees you will be in action all day doing the things that support your (big) goals. This method unshakeable does clobber spinning your wheels!

Delegation – Suuccessful brokers get great support teams in place because they realize can’t do it all alone. I recently heard about a in the main of thumb stipulating that since each $300,000 in commissions netted by a broker one full for the nonce at once associated is neededd.

Who’s on your team? Make a list of DickHarry who helps you arrest your job done. Peopple like your assistant, viirtual assistant, lawyer, accountannt, webmaster, marketing assistant, perhaps a racer, colleege student who is doing an internship and anyone else you need on your team to do your undertaking and do it with excellence.

Who’s missing?

Time Blocking – A straightaway and a place for everything, successful brokers practice this with ease. Woulddn’t things be easier if you what you needed do and when?

What would it be like you that everything that needed to be accomplished would be, and exactly what day and dated it would happen?

If your clients knew you returned your calls every day between 10 and 10:30 and then again between 4:00 and 5:00, if they knew you’d respond to their email daily at 11:00, or were available every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday afternoons after lunch to meet – wouldd they be clear what to expect from ? Would life suddenly be easier during you? This is called Time Blocking.

Write out all activities you do each day and week and number times in your weekly diary to complete them. Treat them as you would doctor’s appointment. After you’d never cancel a doctor’s appointment because you’ be charged a honorarium and wouldn’t get in to see him until next opening – offten a couple of weeks later.

 Blocking Guarantees Success when followed.

Systems – Do you ever attention how the top brokers in your office seem to get much done? That’s because they be experiencing systems in place. Systems such as office operations, goal setting, continuously management, lead generation, marketingg, sales, closing, even system for follow up. (For more information on thesse systems, abut my Commercial Real Estate Success Inner Ciircle beingg re-launched within the next 30 days).

Having systems in situation takes the guess chore away. It becomes easier take home more done in less time because you know expressly what to do exactly what to delegate.

A massive book to pore over to learn more aboout having systems in place is, “The E-Myth Revisited” sooner than Michael Gerber. It’s worth reading; or get the audio CD set and listen to it while driving.

Accountability – Top brokers accountably in place. They are accountable to themselves, thheir group, their business coach, their clients and their families.

 sure you bear at leeast one person or support system in home to pinch assist you in your business goal accountability. It’s amazing how much you will reach you secure only two choices: fair-minded doing it; or rreporting folding to your accountability partner.

Follow Through – This is wheere the account is made between the most qualified and garden-variety. Do you have a follow system in town? Do you know what requires occupy oneself with up and how oftenn? Do you by any chance procrastinate following up only to identify too much time has existence and once in a while you’re disconcerted to follow up?

Create a devote oneself to up checklist for each client and chances and refer to it daily during your planning time to be inexorable nothing falls with the aid the cracks. Go beyond what most do for expected follow up.

Believe me, if you don’t sharpen and improve your folllow up skills, there are 99 other brokers waiting to steal your business.

Last month I needed to install runit in some servers to supervise a couple of services. Unfortunatel

Last month I needed to install runit in some servers to supervise a couple of services. Unfortunately my management interface cannot handle the services anymore, so I decided to write a small module in python to solve this handicap, and that is the result!.

With this module you can handle in python environment a number of runit scripts. I think that this might be work for daemontools too, but I do not test yet. Let’s see an example

>>> import supervise
>>> c = supervise.Service("/var/service/httpd")
>>> print s.status()
{'action': None, 'status': 0, 'uptime': 300L, 'pid': None}
>>> if s.status()['status'] == supervise.STATUS_DOWN: print "service down"
service down
>>> s.start()
>>> if s.status()['status'] == supervise.STATUS_UP: print "service up"
service up

Personally I use this module with rpyc library to manage remotely the services running in a host, but it too easy making a web interface, for example using bottle:

import supervise
import simplejson
from bottle import route, run

@route('/service/status/:name')
def service_status(name):
""" Return a json with service status """
return simplejson.dumps( supervise.Service("/var/service/" +
name).status() )

@route('/service/up/:name')
def service_up(name):
""" Start the service and return OK """
c = supervise.Service("/var/service/" + name)
c.start()
return "OK UP"

@route('/service/down/:name')
def service_down(name):
""" Stop the service and return OK """
c = supervise.Service("/var/service/" + name)
c.down()
return "OK DOWN"

from bottle import PasteServer
run(server=PasteServer)

Now you can stop your service just only point your browser http://localhost/service/down/httpd (to down http service in this case).

Enjoy!

So here we are at the pinnacle of the holiday season and all of the retailers and restaurants are ho

So here we are at the pinnacle of the holiday season and all of the retailers and restaurants are hoping for a nice outcome once the dust settles on the buying season. In the upcoming weeks, they’ll try to quantify that outcome as either in the black or in the red. Based on this outcome, they’ll then start thinking about the upcoming year and future years.

The retail and restaurant chains, whether they’re Sears, JC Penney, McDonalds, or Dominos Pizza, will also begin a yearly tradition – looking to replace existing point-of-sale systems or peripherals. Typically, large chains will replace 3-year old systems with completely new systems. But, in a financial crunch, some might decide to simply replace defective machines with new ones and stick with those machines that are still functioning fairly well.

Capital purchases come with a 3-year depreciation for tax purposes and this is one of the reasons that companies will replace their machines. They sell off their existing equipment and replace it with three years of tax write-offs. Many times, these companies will purchase equipment from software vendors who wrote and maintain the software that operates their companies. But, is this a good thing?

Many software providers who also sell point-of-sale equipment will invariably put together a “package price” for everything. They might also provide tech support for the equipment. But, that’s not necessarily always the case. And, there is one thing that many of these software companies do that doesn’t save the buying companies money – they overcharge heavily for the equipment.

One national restaurant chain was replacing just their Epson TM-T88 thermal receipt printers. The CEO didn’t want to rock the boat by using a different vendor for the printers, but all of the rest of senior management wanted a change. The software company not only did not support the equipment, but when calls came in about problems, their reps were rude and one even said, “Stop calling us about these problems!” Still, when it came time for the purchase, the software vendor told them their price, $425.00 each, and told them that if they didn’t purchase from them, they wouldn’t support the equipment.

The Epson printer is “plug-n-play”, no tweaking necessary. Another hardware vendor who was offering the same printer (exactly the same Epson part number) was selling them for $287.95 each. The restaurant chain has roughly 1,600 restaurants nationwide. It’s also a full-service restaurant and typically has 12 receipt printers (average) per store. Are you beginning to see the math here?

The restaurant chain replaced roughly 19,200 printers. They spent $147 more per printer than they needed to and the grand total to the software vendor: $2,630,400.00. I think, when you’re watching your wallet (or pocketbook), you’ll notice a difference either good or bad with a number like $2,630,400.

The current CEO of the restaurant chain didn’t want to rock the boat because the prior CEO had made a mistake of some sort that cost the company roughly $1 million. What should they do with this CEO?

What’s the point, though? There are many software companies that “provide a full solution”. And, a majority of these are highly overcharging for simple things like receipt printers or credit card readers. Actually, they’re overcharging for entire point-of-sale systems and all peripherals.

What’s a better option? Find the equipment at the lowest price possible. Purchase the equipment. Purchase the manufacturer’s extended warranty for the equipment. Such large equipment purchases always get the attention of the manufacturers and distributors. They’ll get involved to make the transaction work smoothly. They’ll provide support. Then contact a software company that provides software and support for software only. Make them itemize. Don’t let them force you to purchase equipment through them at their highly inflated prices because they can’t force you. They add nothing to an Epson receipt printer or a Mag-Tek card reader.

Make note of the part numbers of the point-of-sale systems and peripherals. Two very popular Epson receipt printers are the Epson TM-T88IV, part number C31C636084 (standard direct thermal receipt printer with a serial interface) and the Epson TM-U220B, part number C31C514653 (standard dot matrix receipt printer with a serial interface). After a lengthy search, I found the following prices at the following companies:

POS Paradise (www.posparadise.com) C31C636084 $277.95 C31C514653 $221.95

POS Global (www.posglobal.com) C31C636084 $280.25 C31C514653 $225.84

Gemini Computers (www.geminicomputersinc.com) C31C636084 $282.35 C31C514653 $231.77

Total Barcode (www.totalbarcode.com) C31C636084 $280.47 C31C514653 $230.47

Barcode Giant (www.barcodegiant.com) C31C636084 $287.40 C31C514653 $232.40

This is a fairly small sampling, but I couldn’t find these products at lower prices than these. Most of the TM-T88IV printers by the other resellers were priced in the low to high $300’s and, similarly, most of the TM-U220B printers on the rest of the sites I visited were priced in the $250’s to over $300. I couldn’t find POS Paradise on the Bizrate or Nextag comparison shopping sites, so I imagine that their overhead is a little lower, hence their lower prices on these two printers. But, they’re all very low compared with the rest and certainly much lower than the price that one software vendor was selling them for.

If your company is so big that you can spend millions of dollars for receipt printers, you’re also probably large enough that you can afford to spend $25,000 per year to hire someone to find the best deals on hardware. It’s not rocket science, after all, it’s just a printer. Or a card reader. Or a cash drawer. Even complete systems are available for much less cost than what the “full service” provider will sell them for.

This same restaurant chain later decided to replace the point-of-sale computer systems. Their special “bundle price”? $6,750 per system. Again, times 19,200. Another vendor could sell them for slightly under $3,000. Is this starting to sound a bit redundant?

For the smaller retail and restaurant chains, money is always a concern, especially lately. There are many point-of-sale software manufacturers that will customize software for your company and make it function for you. Without the special “bundle price” that includes hardware. And, the price for customization and support is much lower than when they put together a package that includes hardware. They might recommend hardware, but companies probably shouldn’t purchase hardware from software companies. They can (and will) describe all of the difficulties in customizing the software package to suit your particular needs (which, of course, will drive up the total cost).

Find the software manufacturer, have them customize and provide support for your software, and leave them out of the hardware aspect. There are many companies now that provide point-of-sale solutions and are eager for your business. They do a great job with customization.

But, remember, an Epson printer is an Epson printer, nothing more, nothing less. When you plug it into your point-of-sale computer, it works. There’s no special customization needed to make an Epson receipt printer print a receipt. So, don’t be fooled. Do your homework and most importantly, save money, big money, by doing so. Retailers and restaurant chains, especially hard hit during these recent difficult times need to make better choices and this is one way they can still have what they need – software systems that function, a software company providing support, and equipment that functions – without all the frills and exceedingly higher costs. Remember, if you can save money, you can offer discounts to attract more customers and, in the long range, earn more money.

WEG has introduced its CFW-08 Multi-pump AC drive, a system that saves energy in pumping systems by allowing the control of up to four pumps from one variable-frequency drive (VFD). By controlling up to four pumps simultaneously, the WEG CFW-08 Multi-pump system enables constant pressure to be maintained in pipelines, regardless of fluctuations in outflow demand. This is achieved using a PID controller in conjunction with the auxiliary pumps’ start/stop logic.

In addition, the CFW-08 also monitors the pressure and level of the capture reservoir, and provides minimum output-pressure fault monitoring for broken pipes or cavitation, and maximum output-pressure fault monitoring for blocked or obstructed pipes. The CFW-08 operates in two control modes – V/F and Sensorless Vector. The V/F mode is suited to variable torque loads and includes a selectable energy-saving feature that reduces motor losses when operating at lower speeds.

It is this control mode that enables the drives to operate in multi-motor applications where multiple (up to four) pumps are controlled by a single variable-frequency drive. The alternative operating mode, Sensorless Vector Control, allows the drive to precisely control the speed and torque of a motor, enabling the CFWO8 to be used on demanding duties, such as extruders, conveyors and rewinders. Designed for operation in the range 0.25 to 15kW, the CFW-08 is easy to configure, install and operate.

Features include ‘S’ acceleration and deceleration ramps, local remote control, DC braking, torque boost, motor-slip compensation, JOG, ride through, multi-speed (up to eight speeds), maximum and minimum adjustable speeds, two skip frequencies, PID regulator, flying start and built-in Devicenet, Modbus RTU and Canopen Fieldbus protocols, with Profibus DP as an option. In addition to the standard CFW-08, WEG has launched an IP56-rated version – the CFW-08 Wash – which is designed for applications in food, beverage, chemical- and water-treatment industries that require a higher degree of protection against the ingress of contaminants.

Phosphoric-Acid Determination In Soft Drinks

Metrohm has developed a method for determining the phosphoric-acid concentration and its precursors in soft drinks, syrups and concentrates. A typical soft drink will have a mixture of water, sugar, caramel for colour, phosphoric acid (which gives the tartness), caffeine (a mild stimulant) and natural flavourings. The Metrohm Compact Ion Chromatography System is optimally adapted to the requirements of this analysis.

It requires only small amounts of environmentally friendly chemicals and eliminates the need for time-consuming sample preparation. The system is optimised for the analysis in that a specific eluent and column package are used. The certified MPak eluent ensures the quality and consistency of results, while the Metrohm MSM11 Suppressor gives linear calibration through the range of interest, leaving the Metrosep column to provide phosphoric-acid concentrations in a rapid chromatographic run. The MCal standards assure trouble-free calibration.

The final part of the system is the ICNet 2.3 software with IC Cap, which facilitates operation and data export. This new soft-drink method for phosphoric-acid determination virtually eliminates sample preparation for the non-carbonated samples, while the carbonated samples require only degassing prior to injection. If the user has a large throughput of test samples, Metrohm recommends automating the system using a sample processor, which can process more than 100 samples.

Mitsubishi Uses HART At Japanese Ethylene Plant

Mitsubishi is using HART communication technology in real-time applications at its ethylene plant in Kashima, Japan, to detect abnormal situations and failures before they affect the process. More than 800 interoperable field devices are integrated with DCS and asset-management systems through multiplexers and HART-enabled I/Os to access real-time continuous process variables and diagnostics. By accessing this real-time intelligent data they can diagnose abnormal process conditions and track equipment health 24 hours a day.

As a result, peak production performance has improved, with estimated operational savings for the plant of USD20,000-30,000 (GBP12,415-18,623) per day. Diagnostics are also used to uncover device failures before they affect the process. It is estimated that two or three device failures have been detected that would have caused unplanned shutdowns. An unscheduled plant shutdown costs an estimated USD600,000 in lost production per day, with a minimum production restart time of five days.

Takayuki Aoyama, team leader of instrumentation at Mitsubishi Chemical, said: ‘Diagnostic parameters that help detect signs of an abnormal situation or degrading performance are difficult to obtain with simple handheld devices because they require a time-consuming, manual, step-by-step approach. ‘HART technology made it possible to access this data without manual operation.

‘This made it much easier for us to gather data and detect abnormal situations from field devices and has reduced maintenance costs by 10 per cent,’ he added. In addition, trending and analysis of secondary process variables throughout the plant provide process insight that has allowed plant engineers to analyse, troubleshoot and resolve a number of operational problems, including plugged impulse lines, an unstable flow profile and an inefficient compressor pump.

Takayuki said: ‘We have designated HART as our standard communication protocol and will replace older devices with HART-type whenever we get a chance. ‘We use HART communications to collect online data from our field devices without disturbing the 4-20mA analogue signal to the control system. ‘Our goal is to detect abnormal situations in the process and protect field devices from malfunctions,’ he concluded.

The Network Time Protocol, better known as NTP, is a widely used Internet protocol for transmission

The Network Time Protocol, better known as NTP, is a widely used Internet protocol for transmission of time on a network. NTP is widely used to synchronize network time clients a precise time source.

This article describes the Network Time Protocol, and provides an overview of NTP servers to use in order to provide a definite source in each network client.

A Brief History

The NTP is one ofoldest Internet protocols still in use today. E 'in continuous use for over 25 years. The protocol was originally designed to synchronize computer and time-critical processes on the Internet. Originally developed for the Linux operating system, the protocol has been recently partially converted to the operating system Microsoft Windows. NTP is the default in many Linux and Unix Free BSD distributions installed. Most of the NTP server systems using the Linux operating system because of itstime kernel specialized algorithms.

The protocol

NTP is a client-server protocol. NTP protocol offers its customers 3 main products: clock offset, round-trip delay and network reference clock dispersion. The clock offset is the difference between the local system clock and an external clock reference. The round-trip delay is to measure latency in the transmission of data packets on the network. And time wastedthe maximum error associated with the information received from the external reference clock timing.

The NTP has a hierarchical structure. A stratum 1 time server is the primary reference servers and sits at the top of heirachy. The primary server reference is followed by secondary reference servers and clients. Primary NTP server reference is usually from an external reference time, such as a radio or GPS clock sync. At the highest level is a primary reference NTPAround a server for a turn. Each sub-level NTP servers and clients is a level that is larger than the previous level. With increasing level, decreases the precision of timing inconsistencies in network path.

Network Time Protocol uses UDP, which is part of the TCP / IP. Each NTP message consists of a number of areas: Leap Indicator, the version number, Mode, Stratum, Poll, precision, Delay Root, Root dispersion, reference materialsIdentification Code Timestamp, Timestamp, Receive Timestamp; Transmit Timestamp; Key Identifier and Message Digest. The fields are used to identify messages and timestamp information and round-trip delay.

The current version of NTP Version 4 of the Protocol all versions are backward compatible with earlier versions. The only significant change to the protocol between versions 3 and 4 pm heading is a re-interpretation of light to accommodate IPv6.

NTPServer mode

A stratum 1 NTP server has three operating modes: Unicast, Anycast and Multicast. The client initiates the unicast and anycast modes, the server responds with a message using the NTP client to synchronize. Multicast is a transmission mode to transmit at regular intervals of time messages to the entire subdomain.

Accurate Clocks

The distribution of labor standard NTP can use a number of external actionsReferences, or "Clocks". The Global Positioning System (GPS) is a popular choice because they provide a reference point in time in the world is available. A number of national terms and radio frequency are also available, such as WWVB (U.S.), DCF-77 (Germany) and MSF (UK).

The Simple Network Time Protocol (SNTP)

SNTP is a simplified version of an adult Network Time Protocol. SNTP is generally used for the complexity and high precision of the NTP protocolrequired. The SNTP protocol is often used in microcontrollers and computer SBC. The NTP and SNTP protocols are fully interchangeable. Each SNTP clients can synchronize with a real NTP server.

This review will look at and compare two different 2-Line Cordless Phone Systems, which are more or less the same class. Comparing the advantages and disadvantages of each possible PBX. Each of these 2 phone lines are the same price range, but that the actual price of each phone can vary depending on where and when each phone bought in this review is not to discuss or compare costs. For our purposes, we assume that the phones have the same cost, both of which are capable ofare connected to 2 separate phone lines and both work in the same frequency of 5.8 GHz

The first 2-Line Cordless Phone look at the model of Panasonic KX-TG6702B. The phone has a long list of features and includes all the basic features or standards that you would expect in this class of 2 phone lines. E 'digital answering machine with up to an hour of saved messages. The phone also has an interesting feature where the lamps without wires up toshow that the recorded messages are available. This is a new feature and very useful, as we could across the room to see that we have a message on this phone. The role of light antenna can also be used to silence a call alert. The manufacturer also has a very high quality speakers in this model for use with conference calls or when the handsfree is desired. Surprisingly, there is very little sound distortion on the receiver when this speaker phone function isused. And in general the sound quality is excellent for this phone Panasonic cordless phone. We also deals with very little degradation in sound, even when operating at the edge of the specified radius.

Phone after we are TWX977 Uniden cordless phone clock. This is also a 2-line phone with several useful features and unique. One of the first things that catches your eye with the Uniden is the color. This phone is light yellow, which some interesting and some will surely findoff. This model's main claim to fame is that it can be decreased to a cordless phone that is solid and survive in water. The waterproof design makes this phone is unique in this class, as the phone may be under water a few meters under the water, no damage. You can not make calls under water, but that should be obvious. The phone also floats. The Uniden can be used through a separate network with other phones of the same model, like a walkie-talkie, which makes it usefulfor large companies, such as a car sales lot. The phone also includes digital answering machine and most of the standard features you would expect.

Both phones provide a useful, effective 2-line cordless phones, and most users would be only for this purpose. The Uniden is a better choice for outdoor use or wet environment. The only drawback is that the rubberized outer shell, the phone will not tend to affect the sound quality for speech and hearing, which protects.If you are not still need robust functionality external Uniden therefore the obvious choice would be the Panasonic. The audio quality and features of the phone are as good or better than most, more expensive cordless phones.

My department recently completed a major and extremely complicated system conversion project. The project was to convert all of the company’s insurance policy data in old and obsolete mainframe-based systems to a third party vendor-packaged system on a network platform. The entire conversion consisted of 7 conversion process phases, 3 system upgrades, over 200 system modifications and the new development of 6 sub systems. It was such a long journey that it reminded me of my marathon experience.

I have completed a total of 5 marathons. I ran and completed one marathon per year since 2001 until 2005. For each marathon, I had to train for 18 weeks to prepare my body and mind for this grueling physical experience. No matter how well I prepared myself for a marathon, the real challenge was to get through the long and exhausting journey without getting discouraged during the course. Obstacles that would delay or prohibit the completion of a marathon happen such as unexpected bathroom trips, unplanned injuries, weather conditions and unknown road conditions. However, even with all of the possible obstacles, those of us who finish marathons are the kind of people who do not give up even when faced with dreadful challenges. We bring ourselves to the finish line by taking one step at a time, dealing with various challenges as they appear while telling ourselves to just “finish the marathon!”

A small team of 4 to 8 developers had been assigned to our complicated conversion project over the past 8 years. My team and I analyzed the requirements for each phase of the conversion and executed the plan. One could liken this process to training and getting ourselves prepared for the big marathon day. However, no matter how well we planned for each conversion phase, we were always faced with obstacles beyond our control for each phase along the course of our journey. To list a few, we dealt with constantly changing business priorities that took resources away from the conversion project, we uncovered complications of the product setup in the old system and we were given added wish lists from user communities. In addition, we had to manage system interface issues caused by a heavy volume of data, hardware breakdowns, unexpected production issues and uncooperative members within the company. Despite all the challenges we faced, my staff and I did not give up and kept plugging away while managing these difficult situations one at a time, with the collective goal to just “finish the conversion!”

We may not have set our best personal record as it took longer than we had anticipated, but we completed our overall goal. Crossing that finish line with a successful conversion was a moment of pure pride as we congratulated each other and ourselves on a job well done. We developed a great deal of camaraderie as we helped each other get through each phase of the process. I can only remember a time when I felt the same sense of pride and camaraderie, and it was after completing a grueling 26.2 miles. It made me proud to run with a great team on this conversion and I only wish I had medals to give them as they certainly deserve them!

Parallel kinematics hexapod systems from Physik Instrumente (PI) provide positioning in six axes with precisions below 1um. The miniature M-810 hexapod takes up minimal installation space. With a diameter of 10cm and a height of 118mm it provides travel ranges up to 40mm in the XY plane and up to 13mm in the Z direction. The high-precision brushless special DC motors and high-resolution encoder give each individual strut a positioning resolution of 40nm.

The mini hexapod positions loads up to 5kg and achieves speeds of up to 10mm/s. Despite its compact size, the necessary driver electronics have been integrated into the base platform of the mini hexapod. The control is 100 per cent compatible with all previous hexapod models and is executed via an Ethernet connection.

As with all PI hexapods, the position can be entered with commands in Cartesian coordinates. Parallel kinematics systems have several advantages over stacked multi-axis positioners, according to PI. All six actuators act on a joint platform, which keeps the moved mass low. There is no summation of the lateral run-out and tilts of individual axes. The pivot point can be selected as desired via software commands and therefore remains independent of the movement.

Tekscan has announced high-temperature, tactile pressure sensors for use in environments up to 200C (400F). These ultra-thin (0.2mm, 0.008in), matrix-based pressure sensors are suitable for making non-intrusive pressure measurements between mating surfaces.

Such measurements are important in a variety of applications, including web handling and converting, print rollers and nips, packaging, heat sealing, laminating and injection moulding. The pressure sensors and systems can be used to: measure pressure distribution between any two mating or contacting surfaces; identify peak pressure hot spots and low pressure gaps; and record pressure distribution and force changes over time.

When used with the I-Scan pressure measurement system, data derived from these sensors can be used to reduce machine set-up time, improve trouble shooting, conduct quality control inspections on machinery and parts, assist in product design and validation and general testing.
