According to Koreaboo, Core Contents Media has denied news reports that T-ara’s Soyeon has been offered a role for the drama, “Iris 2.” 

The production behind “Iris 2″ considered Soyeon to join their official cast line-up,  However, Core Contents Media immediately clarified that “Iris 2″ never offered the role to Soyeon and the casting reports were untrue.

According to Koreaboo, T-ara’s Eunjung sent in an official request to the Korean Management Entertainment Association (KEMA) to withdraw their plans of boycotting the production of the drama “Five Fingers.”

Eunjung revealed she wants to forget everything related to “Five Fingers” and has asked the organisation to withdraw the boycott and pretend the incident didn’t happen.

T-ARA‘s “Sexy Love” music video teaser that was released is very reminiscent of Wonder Girls and Girls’ Generation.

The teaser trailer at the end of the August 30 broadcast of Mnet “M! Countdown” gained much attention.

The beginning of the trailer starts with T-ARA in boxes, looking like dolls. They rip the plastic and come out from the boxes dancing like robots. They wore black and silver outfits, giving off a cyber look. This is similar to Wonder Girls’ song, “Like Money,” that was released in July. 

In the middle of the trailer, T-ARA members are wearing cute and colorful outfits and going for a doll concept. This is similar to Girls’ Generation’s “Gee” music video from 2010.

T-ARA will be officially be making their comeback on September 6.

According to Koreaboo, T-ara revealed the first video clip for their upcoming music video for the track “Sexy Love.”  T-ara will be releasing their 7th mini-album, “Mirage,” and will promote their new title track, “Sexy Love,” on September 7th.

There’s been a lot of controversy surrounding the group T-Ara, member Hwayoung’s contract was terminated, now to add another spin to group  many fans have demanded that Eunjung be removed from the cast of “Five Fingers.”

The SBS drama has revealed that shooting will continue as scheduled. They expressed they have no plans to cut off Eunjung.

Korean girl group T-ara has been struck by a wave of negative rumours as of late which has shockingly ended with member Hwayoung leaving the group. The 19-year-old was one of the newer additions made to T-ara’s lineup and has been with the group for almost two years.

Prior to Hwayoung’s departure, cryptic messages posted on the personal accounts of T-ara’s original members, including Jiyeon and Hyomin, led to speculation that the members were dissatisfied with Hwayoung’s attitude towards being a performer. This was followed by rumours that she was being bullied by her fellow members. This issue surfaced after Hwayoung performed at one of their Japanese concerts while seated on a chair due to a leg injury.

In a statement issued to the press at 1pm KST (12pm local time) today, Core Contents Media (CCM) announced that they would be terminating Hwayoung’s contract with immediate effect. In the statement, they expressed ‘regret’ for her departure but have stood firm on their ground that the decision was made after careful consideration and is for the best interest of the group.

It stated that they have decided on the matter based on the complaints of 19 staff members regarding Hwayoung’s attitude and denied all rumours of bullying within the group.

In the statement, CCM also claimed that the posts by the members were misinterpreted and in fact not directed at Hwayoung – contrary to the statement that they had issued immediately after the tweets surfaced, which claimed that the girls’ accounts were hacked into simultaneously.

Following the announcement, Hwayoung posted a vague message that reads: ‘facts without the truth’ on her personal Twitter account, which netizens believe was a hint that CCM’s statement omitted vital information.

CCM then issued a follow-up statement, claiming that Hwayoung had acted out on numerous occasions, exhibiting diva-like behaviour towards her fellow members and even in front of fans and members of the press.

QUEEN’s (name for T-ara’s fans) have been divided over the issue following CCM’s announcement, with some condemning the termination of the contract and pointing fingers at the remaining members while others have stood by the girl group. About 6,000 fans have left their official fan café after the announcement, triggering alarm that this may lead to their downfall as a group.

As many of the happenings leading up to Hwayoung’s departure are unlikely to publicly clarified, a negative cloud of rumours is likely to continue swirling around T-ara ahead of their concert in Seoul, which will be held on August 11.

Already a familiar face in the drama realm, T-ara‘s Ham Eun-jeong has been cast in another new role for the upcoming drama “Five Fingers“.

Ham Eun-jeong was a name on the list for the role, but confirmations weren’t made. Until now. Core Contents Media confirmed on June 29th that the idol star will be playing the role of Hong Dami, a girl that is forced to give up on her own personal dreams due to difficult family circumstances.

“Five Fingers” is about youth that struggle to overcome their tragic pasts and obstacles, fighting to reach for the stars and see their dreams come true. Joo Ji-hoon is another name confirmed; he will be playing the main male lead.

Ham Eun-jeong was debating on whether she should take the role or not, due to plans for T-ara‘s new album and ensuing promotions slated for the near future. However, she has decided to juggle both acts.

Ham Eun-jeong‘s previous drama projects include “Dream High” and “Coffee House“.

“Five Fingers” will start airing on August 4th, following the currently running “A Gentleman’s Dignity“.

Recently, it was revealed that T-ARA’s Bo-ram have been hospitalised in Japan for acute gastritis.

According to a report on T-araworld, on 6 June, Core Contents Media revealed that the singer was not able to attend the group activities on 5 June due to acute gastritis. T-ARA has just successfully completed their Thai concert and they will be flying to Japan next to carry out the rest of their scheduled activities there.

The label’s representative stated, “We took her to the hospital immediately and take an examination. She is now hospitalised and receiving treatment.”

The rep added, “She must’ve been nervous because there were more overseas activities lined up after their Thai concert. She must’ve had problems with something she ate while in Thailand, and combined with the stress she was under, it laid undue stress on her system.”

They also stated that T-ARA’s Japanese agency has taken Bo-ram out of all their line-ups for 6 June. However, a few hours later, the agency stated, “Bo-ram will not be attending the scheduled activities with the other members until 11 June or until her situation gets better. There are still no solid results on her hospital test but we will keep a close eye on her health.”

After Core Contents Media announced that there will be two additional members to T-ARA, fans have been eagerly anticipating the big reveal, and it was recently that the identity of the ninth and final member was revealed to the public.

As reported on Allkpop, on 23 May, the newest member was revealed to be a middle school student named Dani.

It was reported that 14 year-old Dani has lived in America since she was four, and will now shuttle between Korea and America as she prepares to join T-ARA officially.

Dani will be taking part in the music video for T-ARA’s new song and will officially join the group after the eighth member, who will be active in T-ara starting from July.

Previously, Core Contents Media CEO, Kim Kwangsoo announced the re-organisation, stating that there will be two new members added to the existing seven-member group and revealed the eighth member.

“T-ARA is aiming to start off on a new footing come this summer. They will first start promotional activities as an eight-member group.”

With regards to the eighth member they mentioned, “She is nineteen this year, and is blessed with both looks and talent.”

Meanwhile, T-ARA’s new album will feature various top producers, including Jo Young-soo and Shinsadong Tiger, who have produced hit songs for the group in the past.

An ad to promote Korean ramen abroad has backfired, with its star, T-ara’s Jiyeon, caught in the middle.

The Hallyu superstar was selected to represent Nongshim ramen in Japan some time ago, and the company recently released an advertising clip on its Web site. In the hotly debated ad, Jiyeon pleasantly slurps ramen off the lid of a saucepan.

The girl group member recommends placing a small amount of noodles on top of the lid as a common way to eat ramen in Korea. But Japanese audiences were not amused by this effort at cross-cultural connection.

In Japan, eating from cookware in the manner suggested by Jiyeon is quite rude and some fans felt quite discussed by the advertisement.

“Totally bad manners. Gross!” explained one Japanese netizen, while another asked, “Is this the Korean way?”

Others were a lot more diplomatic but still voiced sentiments like, “It’s nice to see how Koreans eat, but it is a bit insensitive not to consider Japanese culture in producing the ad.”

T-ara will soon be recruiting two new members, bringing its total number to nine. The big announcement was made yesterday by Core Contents Media CEO Kim Gwang-su, who had announced in March that the group would undergo a “transformation.”

 
“The group will now have nine members, and the new members will join the girls in July, to coincide with the new album’s launch,” Kim said in a press release.

 
The reason for the new additions, according to Kim, is to keep the girl group on its toes.

 
“I’ve noticed that with a lot of bands I’ve managed, the members become arrogant and idle after three years,” Kim said. “Of course, T-ara is working hard at the moment, but I don’t want the girls to take what they have for granted and I want them to be better performers.”

 
Not all reactions to the move have been positive, but in his defense, Kim said, “There are streams of new bands entering the K-pop market and they train for a minimum of 10 hours a day. T-ara can’t just sit back and relax if it wants to become a household name in Asia.”

UPDATE: According to Dkpop news, the two new members will be introduced in July 2012 along with new music.

ADDITIONAL: Seven members is enough in a group, it’s going to look crowded. It’s hard enough to remember seven.

The current seven members: Boram, Qri, Soyeon, Eunjung, Hyomin, Hwayoung, and Jiyeon.

Ryu Hwa Young 18-years old from K-Pop girl group T-ara is making major headlines for wardrobe malfunction during a music show called Inkigayo on January 29, 2012 which the group won triple crown.

The group was singing ”Lovey Dovey” when the nip slip happened. Ryu’s nipple unfortunately shows when she did her solo dance routine.

The singer said to be distraught over her accidental exposure on air from a statement that T-ara’s management agency Core Contents Media released.

In a statement from a spokesperson said,  “Hwa Young is still very young. She is frightened and is still in a state of shock because of this incident”.

The statement went on to say, “It is purely an accident. The tape holding her microphone to her underwear came loose because of their vigorous dancing.”

T-ara’s Eun Jung suffered another injury, this time she injured her left knee when she was on her way home from dance practice, somehow, she slipped and fell in the slippery snowy road.

The previous injury was a sprained ankle which was for the second time.

The singer’s agency said she “ruptured the supporting structures in her knee-cap” and that she received treatment at the hospital where “she underwent a joint aspiration procedure.” Furthermore, she went back to get her knee checked out on January 25, 2012.

The estimated time for recovery is about six weeks according to the doctors.

The singer’s schedule will be rearranged depending on her recovery.

It seems that Eun Jung is having the worst luck of trying to stay healthy which has caused the group to postpone K-POP Power & Beauty held in San Francisco. Although, there are media reports that said the group had performance visa issues which allows them to perform in the U.S. Either way, fans may not get a chance to see a live performance. Fans and the media must wait and see what happens with T-ara.

Kyuhun from KPop group Super Junior and Hyo Min from girl group T-ara will join the Chinese version of the reality show “We Got Married”.

The show will consist of Korean and Chinese couples to be paired, one Korean with a Chinese person.

Korean star Kyuhun will be paired with Chinese actress Lou Yixiao and Hyo Min will be paired with Chinese star Fu Xinbo. The honeymoon will take place in Korea and China, Kyuhun and Lou will honeymoon in Korea while Hyo Min and Fu will honeymoon in China. Kyuhun and Hyo Min are one of the three couples that will be featured on the show.

Depending on the ratings, the show will be determined whether or not to do a full program of the show.

The pilot “We Got Married” will air on the new channel SMG network as a two-part Valentine’s Day special on February 13 and 14, 2012 in China that is according to MBC’s announcement.

Girl group T-ara has dressed up in traditional hanboks to greet their fans.

In a recent interview with Star News, Eunjung, Hymoin, Jiyeon, Soyeon, Qri, Boram, and Hwayoung were all present wearing their hanboks and greeting staff with a cheerful appearance.

T-ara said, “Currently, it’s hard to fit a lot into our tight schedules since we’re very active, but we hope we to receive a lot of love. With your friends and family, eating joyfully during the holidays, we hope you have a good time together and can watch T-ara on your TVs.”

Starting in the second half of last year, T-ara has been constantly promoting new songs, dramas, filming CFs, guesting in variety shows and performing in musicals. When asked if they could relax this holiday season, they replied with, “We don’t get a vacation.” After debuting, T-ara almost never is able to spend holidays with their family.

Eunjung said, “The holiday season is for spending time with family but even when we’re at our schedules, I have that feeling return because of the spirit. This year is extra special because it’s the year of the dragon and that’s my year. Happy New Year to everyone who was born in ’88!”

Soyeon said, “This year, I’ll become the fourth leader. For the new year, I hope that T-ara can receive a lot of love and good news. I’m excited to move forward.”

Hwayoung said, “During New Year, between me and my twin sister, the money received was always different. Sometimes we would get three times different amount and Hyoyoung unnie would glance at me and try to take it. I remember we would act miserable and end up splitting it evenly in the end.”

For this new year, T-ara said, “With some family members and members from our agency, we’ll all eat together and make rice cakes. Hyomin will make the crab dishes, and Boram and Jiyeon will make the meat.”

Last August, T-ara released their retro “Roly-Poly” song and then in early November, followed up with “Cry Cry”. At the end of December, they released a ballad with their label-mate Davichi, “We Used To Love”. All of these releases were placed in the #1 spot of the charts and received a lot of love from fans.

T-ara came back with “Lovey-Dovey” earlier this year and once again were at the top of the charts. Over the last six months, T-ara have had four consecutive #1 hit songs, showing off their new potential and strength. Even now, “Lovey-Dovey” is in the top 10 of all the music charts.

T-ara didn’t want to forget to show their appreciation towards their fans who love their music and support them.

Soyeon said, “Right now is when we are suffering the most since our debut. Until April, our schedule is full. Our members depend on drinks and vitamins since we don’t get sleep, but the things our fans say to us and how they encourage us, it’s very encouraging to us.”

She continued by saying, “As quick as we can, we wanted to show off good songs we made. We’re worried that maybe the fans would have became bored or tired by us having a lot of new song releases, but luckily, we’re thankful to our fans who continue to support us happily.”

On an ending note, T-ara said, “As soon as we finish with our ‘Lovey-Dovey’ activities, we plan to go to Japan to spread our K-pop. I hope that we’ll be able to progress further and for people to notice our commitment and efforts.”

T-ara’s Ham Eun Jung who is 23 was sent to the hospital on Friday January 6, 2012 for a sprained ankle which is the second time while performing for a recording session for a music program.

The first time Ham sprained her ankle was on December 31, 2011 during a music show.

The past weekend, she performed with a bandaged ankle and consumed painkillers to promote the group’s new single “Lovey Dovey”.
