To Do (Note) Tags in OneNote

Ok, so, here’s a OneNote feature I did not know about and, I tell you, I am in love with it! Today, I found out that you can add a checkbox to a note (typically an action item) and then come back and mark it with a check mark when it’s been done. Read on to find out how much more you can do with Note Tags thanks to the OneNote Tips blog. My boss has no idea what’s about to hit him…. I am going to be “to-doing’ everything in OneNote and assigning it all to him. Because we share Notebooks, everyone will be able to see just how little he actually does around here. Good times!

Note Tags:

Note Tags are interactive checkboxes that can be applied to your notes in OneNote. They can be applied to text, ink, pictures, drawings and much, much more. What’s more, you can search your notebook for any and all checkboxes and filter your search based on the checked status, type of tag, date applied, etc.

You can apply a note tag by pressing <Ctrl + 1>. This places a checkbox on your page. Then you just begin typing or writing your note. If you want to add another checkbox, move to a new location on the page and press <Ctrl + 1> again, then take your next note. Once you’ve accomplished your task, you just click on the checkbox and it marks it as complete.

Tips:

Use the <Ctrl> key in conjunction with the numbers 1…9 to access additional predefined tags.
There are also many other available tags in OneNote:
If you don’t find a tag that suites your needs, create your own
- - Click View -> Customize My Tags -> New Tag, then give it a name and choose from any of the available formatting options.

Now, let’s say you have multiple projects going on at the same time. So you may have multiple notebooks or sections you use to take notes and track your work. You might be using note tags across many of those notebooks and sections. So, now you want to roll up all the unchecked tags into one easy to see view so you can determine what you have left to accomplish.

To view a list of all your tags click View -> All Tagged Notes.

Tips:

1. To display only the unchecked items, place a checkmark in the ‘Show only unchecked items‘ checkbox’.

2. To broaden or limit your search scope click the Search dropdown menu then select the desired scope.

3. To sort the list, click the Group tags by dropdown menu.

4. If you need more context to understand what that note was about, just click on the note in the summary pane and you will be navigated to the page where you originally took the note.

5. You can also create a new summary page of all the tagged notes found in the summary. Click the Create Summary Page button. With the new page you can print out a copy of your to do list and take it on the run with you.

Note: It’s important to understand that when you create a summary page, all the tags that are currently in the Tags Summary pane are duplicated onto the new page. This means you will have exact copies of these tags and once you refresh the results of the pane, you could potentially be seeing double, (depending on the search scope you have selected).

So, what’s actually happening here? Well, tags have several properties associated with them, one of which is ‘archived’. When a summary page is generated, all the original tags become archived, while the new duplicates are active. Now, generally, this doesn’t really mean anything, other than the behavior described above. However, OneNote has some tag settings that allow you to utilize this little known feature.

You can cause the original, (or archived), tags to appear dimmed once the summary page is created, giving the appearance of a disabled tag, (even though the tag is still enabled). To do this, click Tools -> Options -> Tags -> mark Show original tagged notes as dimmed. By the very nature of the note tags being dimmed, they will be excluded from the search results in the summary pane. But suppose you don’t want them to be excluded. Easy. Just place a checkmark in the Show dimmed tagged notes in the Tags Summary pane of the Tools -> Options -> Tags settings.

Questo che vado a scrivere è un post di grande serietà e di grande impegno (cfr. “I fichi” by Guccini). Ho finalmente deciso, dopo mesi di procrastinazione – il procrastinare è una delle mie caratteristiche (cfr. “Domani è un altro giorno” by Rossella O’Hara) – di lanciarmi in un’impresa titanica: la classificazione delle chiavi di ricerca.

Dovete sapere, birichini, che quando arrivate al mio blog digitando delle paroline su gooooogle, io lo so. Io, dea onnipresente, onnipotente (ho scritto due volte onniponte prima di scriverlo correttamente) ed onnisaccente, conosco tutti i modi in cui voi arrivate qui. Quello che non so, è come sia possibile accedere al mio blog digitando “fotografie hard dentro le stalle dei cavalli“. Posso capire che ci si arrivi cercando “link e stronzate“, ma “fotografie hard dentro le stalle dei cavalli” proprio no.

Ilmu Hikmah

Sesungguhnya mereka-mereka yang memiliki hikmah yang utama adalah orang-orang suci, bukan karena mereka mengetahui yang ghaib tetapi karena Allah telah memuliakan mereka dengan hikmah yang banyak kepadanya

‘Allah menganugerahkan al hikmah (kepahaman yang dalam tentang Al Qur’an dan As Sunnah) kepada siapa yang Dia kehendaki. Dan barangsiapa yang dianugerahi al hikmah itu, ia benar-benar telah dianugerahi karunia yang banyak. Dan hanya orang-orang yang berakallah yang dapat mengambil pelajaran (dari firman Allah).’

Nabi Ibrahim sangat paham mengenai karunia hikmah yang hanya diturunkan pada mereka yang senang menyucikan diri, oleh karena itu beliau berdoa meminta agar Allah SWT menurunkan ketengah manusia orang-orang yang suci, yang sanggup menerima pesan Ilahiyah, hikmah-hikmah yang tersembunyi yang Allah SWT tidak berkenan untuk menurunkannya pada manusia manusia yang kotor, demikian doa beliau.

lalu Allah mengabulkan doa Ibrahim, dengan diangkatnya para Rasul-Rasul setelah beliau. Muhammad SAW adalah orang suci, dari tangan beliau dialirkan pengetahuan hikmah tersebut pada Aulia, Amilin, Ulama, Shadiqqin (semoga Allah SWT memuliakan mereka), agar menolong umat manusia setelah kepergian beliau untuk mampu mensucikan diri mereka hingga juga mampu mendapatkan karunia ilmu hikmah tentang hal-hal yang belum diketahui.

Sebagaimana (Kami telah menyempurnakan ni’mat Kami kepadamu) Kami telah mengutus kepadamu Rasul di antara kamu yang membacakan ayat-ayat Kami kepada kamu dan mensucikan kamu dan mengajarkan kepadamu Al Kitab dan Al-hikmah, serta mengajarkan kepada kamu apa yang belum kamu ketahui. Al Baqarah 151

Janganlah lupa, bila kita dilantik menjadi presiden, jenderal, dokter, apalah itu semua yang namanya pangkat dunia mereka diambil sumpah, maka bila orang berpikir bahwa tatkala ilmu hikmah itu diberikan kepada mereka yang senang bersuci diri, lalu berpikir bahwa hal itu hanya sesuatu yang diberikan begitu saja, maka itu kebodohan yang nyata. Anda tidak percaya?

Dan (ingatlah), ketika Allah mengambil PERJANJIAN dari para nabi: “Sungguh, apa saja yang Aku berikan kepadamu berupa kitab dan hikmah, kemudian datang kepadamu seorang rasul yang membenarkan apa yang ada padamu, niscaya kamu akan sungguh-sungguh beriman kepadanya dan menolongnya” . Allah berfirman: “Apakah kamu mengakui dan menerima perjanjian-Ku terhadap yang demikian itu?” Mereka menjawab: “Kami mengakui”. Para sahabatku sekalian, mereka orang suci bukan mengejar perkara yang ghaib, dan hentikan serangan pada orang-orang yang senang mensucikan diri mereka karena prasangka bahwa mereka semua mengejar ilmu ghaib. Itu mungkin pada dukun dan penyihir yang dibenci Allah SWT untuk mencari ketenaran dan keduniaan. Kejarlah mereka orang-orang yang senantiasa berusaha mensucikan diri mereka karena hikmah ada pada mereka. Datangilah, hormatilah, cintailah dan angkatlah mereka menjadi pemimpin kalian, semoga hikmah selalu tercurah kapada kalian dengan izin Allah SWT.

Bila kalian bertanya, dimana kami mencari orang suci tersebut? maka carilah hingga hati kalian mengatakannya, karena sesungguhnya kebanyakan dari kita masih dalam kesesatan yang nyata, Allah SWT akan membantu kalian menemukan mereka.

Anda ingin membangun bangsa ini, keluarga, diri pribadi, senang-senanglah mensucikan diri. Saat hikmah itu mengalir, maka siapapun didalam bidang apapun akan melihat seluruh hal-ihwal menjadi jelas, inilah ma’rifah…. Percayalah, ada orang-orang suci di pemerintahan, ada orang-orang suci dalam jual beli, ada orang-orang suci dalam sekolah-sekolah, ada orang-orang suci di kepolisian dan ketentaraan, di rumah-rumah, keluarga-keluarga, dan ada yang suci dalam masing-masing diri. Sekali lagi datangilah, hormatilah, cintailah dan angkatlah mereka menjadi pemimpin kalian. Ciri-ciri mereka adalah bahwa selalu kita dengar mereka mengingatkan

Mari’fah mereka luas sehingga dipikir mereka mengetahui yang ghaib, hanya karena mereka dikarunia hikmah yang banyak. Semoga Allah memuliakan mereka, pemimpin kami yang sholeh, pemimpin kami yang tidak takut mati untuk kebenaran, pemimpin kami yang tegas melihat kezaliman dan benci kebodohan, mereka yang mencintai Allah, yang mencintai RAsullulah. Semoga DOA MEREKA MAKBUL, semoga Allah bersama mereka, semoga Allah merahmati mereka. Ikutilah mereka, taatlah dan tunjukan adab, karena mereka telah lebih dulu sampai pada karunia hikmah itu sebelum kita.

Hikmah yang utama adalah hikmah YAKIN, dengannya Api menjadi dingin (Ibrahim AS), dengannya beberapa pemuda tidur 300 tahun didalam gua (Ashabul Kahfi), Dengannya Musa mengalahkan Firaun, Dengannya Kursi Ratu Balqis berpindah dalam sekejap mata (Kisah Sulaiman), Dengannya Daud AS mengalahkan Jalut, Dengannya Rasullulah ber Mi’raj menemui Allah SWT, Dengannya Yunus AS selamat dalam perut Ikan.

Keyakinan adalah karunia hikmah yang banyak, yang dengannya manusia tenteram dan selamat.

‘Ingatlah, sesungguhnya wali-wali Allah itu, tidak ada kekhawatiran terhadap mereka dan tidak (pula) mereka bersedih hati. ‘ Yunus 62

Se tem uma coisa que me diverte são as estatísticas de acesso do meu site e do meu blog… e pra ser mais exato, a parte que mais me deixa feliz não são os números de acessos ou coisas assim, mas sim saber como as pessoas chegaram até o local, principalmente aquelas que usaram suas sábias palavras no google.

Eu já comentei aqui sobre isso várias vezes, ou talvez nem foi bem aqui nesse blog mas sim em algum outro meu do passado, mas as pessoas tendem a achar que o Google é um oráculo, e que ele sabe de tudo né. Invés de colocarem palavras para pesquisar, colocam perguntas e tudo mais… como se ele fosse responder ao pé da letra, como se ele soubesse interpretar a pergunta e responder na lata.

Voltando ao velho costume de comentar algumas das mais interessantes, vou dedicar esse post as últimas frases ou coisas engraçadas que achei nas estatísticas desse blog – nos últimos 30 dias.

Então vamos lá:

“quero respirar affs nao me sufoca”: Ok… sinta-se a vontade, respire o quanto quiser… aliás, se usar a vírgula você vai ter uma pausa pra respirar, se continuar escrevendo tudo direto e sem acentuação, vai ficar difícil mesmo, ok?

“foto de pessoa cego”: Vamos pra aula de concordância… se você está falando de uma pessoa, então a pessoa tem que ser CEGA e não CEGO.

E por falar em cegueira…

“cego é aquele que não quer ver”: Eu concordo… mas se bem que tem muita gente que quer enxergar e não pode também. Aliás, essa é uma das frases mais pesquisadas pra chegar aqui, tirando o meu próprio nome. Espero que todos enxerguem tudo o que eu escrevo e tudo o que eu fotografo.

Posso estar também completamente errado, mas é isso que eu entendi até hoje haha.

eu nao tenho nada na vida: Você que pensa que não tem… ta muito cabisbaixo ein? Trate de encarar as coisas de uma forma mais positiva, veja o lado bom das coisas… se ficar nessa “emice” toda aí, nada funciona mesmo.

“cesar ovalle 03/11″: Isso parece meio data fúnebre seilá… eu nem quis ir atrás pra ver onde eu tava dia 03/11… mas né, que medo. Me deixem em paz! haha

“cesar ovalle 13″: Mais um número suspeito depois do meu nome… sério, eu não consigo decifrar esses códigos… aliás esse 13 é mais macabro que o outro, não?

“sempre 1 passo a sua frente de você”: Porque todas as pessoas que não sabem fazer uma concordância certa acabam parando aqui no meu blog? Será que tem alguma explicação? Será que eu escrevo tudo errado também? Ou será que eu estou “sempre 1 passo a sua frente de você”?

“fuçar no twitter alheio trancado”: Esse quer tudo, até fuçar na vida alheia, mesmo ela estando em modo privado. Tá querendo mesmo ein? Que tal pedir um request e ver se a pessoa te aceita? As vezes o trancado é só pra ter controle maior e não pra não deixar ninguém ler… tipo o meu, não? Mas enfim, só tentando pra saber…

“eu quero o mundo no espaço”: Você quer tudo pelo visto, e ta pedindo pro Google… então deixa eu te contar duas coisas: Primeiro – o Google não é Deus pra receber pedidos assim… Segundo – o mundo já ta no espaço, mas não espalha pra todo mundo, ok?

“respeito é pra quem tem porque?”: Outro que não sabe concordar nada, nem tampouco usar o “porque, por que, porquê, por quê”… então nem vou responder o que você não entendeu PORQUE não merece.

“gostosas malhando nuas”: Sempre tem que ter umas paradas dessas né? E sempre alguém cai aqui procurando essas coisas porque eu sempre faço esses posts… vira um ciclo.

“o que eu faço quando nao tenho nada a fazer”: Boa pergunta… mas não é mais fácil você mesmo responder pra você do que perguntar pro Google? Ou você acha que ele te monitora 24h por dia pra poder responder uma pergunta dessas?

“tenho tudo e ao mesmo tempo nao tenho nada”: Isso realmente é um mal do ser humano… mas é bom se debater sobre isso as vezes, vale a pena mesmo… talvez a gente dê muito valor pras coisas que no final das contas não valem absolutamente nada… e vice-versa. É um belo questionamento… e eu juro que não to sendo irônico.

E, pra finalizar… a frase que mais pesquisaram nos últimos 30 dias… das mais variadas formas (muitas vezes toda errada, mas enfim…). Vou postar a frase certa e explicar de onde veio, assim quem sabe eu consiga tirar a dúvida de muita gente:

As for advice, if anyone should be doling it out, it should be from you to me. You’ve got your head screwed firm on your shoulders. Up until you hit 21 that is, because then it gradually unhinges. So much so you’d easily pass off as one of those bobblehead dolls.

Although perhaps if there’s anything at all that I should point out, it’s that you have an inclination to look at the bigger picture. This is not necessarily a good thing considering you tend to miss the details and they almost always are of great consequence. Work on that, it’ll make you a lot more perceptive and sensitive.

Hmm…16… Well, by now you’ve probably discovered your sister’s law notes, her copy of the constitution and that life-determining document on child soldiers in Sri Lanka. You’re all fired up about child soldiers and will spend days doing extensive research so that you can write about it as your contribution for the school magazine. You hope that at least in some small way you can make a difference with your article.

Hate to break it to you little dreamer, but your article couldn’t so much as tickle the monster. And anyway teenagers just aren’t interested in that sort of thing. They’d much rather read those nauseating stories of lost love that your classmates submit than child soldiers, your World War II write up or your next piece on your own conspiracy theory about Shakespeare and Christopher Marlow.

Speaking of dad, he’s going to teach you to play snooker this year, just like how he taught you to swim when you were 10. You’re going to be able to play pretty decently. He will however, leave for Europe again and once he returns the whole thing will be forgotten and you’ll lose touch with the game. Don’t let this happen. He’s a billiards and snooker champion and played for clubs, for Heaven’s sake! He can teach you so much… You could carry on his legacy! Okay, that’s the dreamer in us stretching it.

Also, try harder in convincing him to quit smoking. He’s 64 now and suffered a mild stroke just two days back and his got a train of other medical conditions, the causa causans of which being his chain smoking.

Yeah, 2009 isn’t very good. Mum was diagnosed with a tumour and underwent major surgery a few months back. You start to realise that your amazing superparents aren’t invincible and they aren’t immortal.

Apart from that your life is pretty good. You’d be amazed that something good will emerge from ALL the horrible decisions you make. Everything just falls into place. We are yet to face the trial of our life.

But you already know that. Since you haven’t got any problems of your own you’ve already started to help your friends through theirs.

Except this is when things start to take a turn for the worse. Almost all your friends’ problems are to do with their topsy turvy love life. After a while you’ll begin to wonder why you’ve never fallen in love and subsequently question if there’s something wrong with you. Of course that moiety of your life is going to get unnerving with a stalker, guys drinking themselves unconscious because you didn’t feel the same way about them and acting rashly. Regarding which, let me tell you this, boys are over dramatic impetuous gits. They’ll be fine and they’ll get over it. Well, except for two… but they leave the country anyway.

But don’t blame yourself and let the guilt of not being able to reciprocate their feelings eat at you. Because with that in mind, you will try to force yourself to fall in love, being the bobble head that you will become. Though I shouldn’t advise you against it, because you learn from it. You learn that this is just who you are, you’re emotionally detached beyond average. Which is brilliant considering you don’t have to suffer heart ache. I maintain that Lord Tennyson was horribly senile when he was struck with the ‘mal-epiphany’ that “’tis better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all”. What Tosh!

Right, so I think there are a few raisins of advice sprinkled in there… Hope you’ve spotted it.

I’ve written about them before and I really think it’s a waste of time to talk about them again.
Democracy.
Yes, we get it. It worked wonders for America. It probably will do great for a lot of other countries like Canada and Britain and Australia too. But for the likes of Pakistan, we’re still halfway in trying to get kids to school without contracting hepatitis and more than half of our most prominent leaders are still in the limelight for corruption charges. You want to give us democracy? Give us some brains first. And some sugar.
The all-or-none principle.
I’ve seen women trying to have careers because that’s what makes them “feel good” about themselves. So they decide not to get married, and regret that decision at a point when it is too late. When their biological clocks are already whimpering and when, in the Pakistani society, they outlive their shelf life. Sad and pathetic, yes, but that’s how it goes. On the other hand I see women making marriage a point of their lives and refuse to involve in anything that involves independence and intelligence. They sit and talk about Star Plus soaps and masalas and Mrs. XYZ’s tushy which increased dramatically since she had that fourth kid.
Both these extremes are silly. You can’t have it all on either side, if that’s what these people are afraid of. Marriage and settling down with kids come with compromises, just like careers. You can’t be a supermom and a super-CEO all at the same time. And you’ll end up realizing you didn’t spend time enjoying the ride. Finding a balanced middle is such a phobia for some people.
Sushi and caviar.
Raw fish? Fish eggs? No thank you. Even if I did like seafood (which I do not) I’d stick to the stuff you can cook without puking.
Blog stats.
See that sitemeter widget on the right? Don’t be fooled. More than 100 people land on this blog everyday looking for something I’ve never talked about on this blog. Or in my life. Ever.
Blogging for stats is a different story however and also quite over-rated. I’ve read so many nice, interesting, involving blogs that barely have any visitors or comments at all.

What’s with all this madness about cherries and cows suddenly? Is this a social response to how virtual things are getting nowadays?
Twilight series and Megan Fox.
Seriously. Twilight has disturbing themes. The guy wants to suck her blood and she thinks dying for someone you love (you’re only freaking sixteen!) is a great way to go. Then she has a thing for werewolves. Is it really not alarming to us what a strange role model this girl is setting for tweens all over the world? And Megan Fox is not pretty. Plenty of women in Hollywood can pose in sexy sultry ways and I don’t get what’s so special about her.

I could go on and on.

Angelina Jolie (her lips seem exaggerated, not sexy), Twitter (I don’t like the name and I often don’t get the point of it), Sheesha (just light a cigarette if you want to look that cool – the thing makes me nauseous), having the perfect body for women (Queen Latifah and Oprah are working hard against the current there), blond hair (too Barbie) and living abroad (it ain’t fun in the Middle East where women are second rate citizens and it ain’t fun in the European-Atlantic belt where you keep looking for halaal food and your kids are taught sex education in grade 3).

But of course. I won’t.

El uso más y más omnipresente de la red para encontrar información dio la luz a nuevos métodos de hacer publicidad. Un nuevo mercado de la publicidad es abierto, donde anunciantes y proveedores de espacio interactuan para traer las informaciones/anuncios al público.

Como siempre Google era uno de los primeros que sacó beneficios de la oportunidad. El lanzamiento de Google AdWords/AdSense fue un éxito muy importante. El principio es simple. Los anunciantes se inscriben en AdWords para que su sitio aparece sobre páginas relevantes. A la inscripción, dan algunas palabras claves, o tags, relativos a sus productos o servicios. Los internautas que buscan estas palabras o visitan páginas que contienen estas palabras, verán el anuncio aparecer. Al otro lado, los webmasters pueden vender espacio sobre sus páginas. Se inscriben en AdSense. La aplicación analiza el contenido de las páginas y encuentra los anuncios sumitidos en AdWords que sean lo más similares a este contenido.

El concepto es simple y permite alcanzar los consumidores potenciales fácilmente, ahorrando los costes del estudio de mercado. Por eso, es muy atractivo para los pequeñas empresas que no tienen un gran presupuesto para la publicidad. Google identifica el público objetivo para ellas; sólo pagan si los internautas hacen clic sobre su anuncio; si todavía no tienen una página web, Google les ayuda a creer una donde se puede comprar el producto o servicio.

El éxito es tan considerable que el competidor de siempre de Google, es decir Yahoo!, lanzó rápidamente despues su propia herramienta de publicidad contextual “Yahoo! Publisher Network”. El principio es muy similar y encuentra muchos usarios también.

Molly napped well today, but napping on dad worked best. Which suits dad fine.

When she’s out, she’s out. I took the time on the couch to do important things, like figure out how to turn on the closed captioning on the TV. It’s amazing how insouciant one gets with a sleeping baby in one’s lap — I watched a show about making your own picture frames from exotic woods, and couldn’t have been more satisfied.

It seems the better she naps, the better her day in general. She’s edging toward “tripod” behavior on the floor; I’ve noticed when she’s reaching for something that’s just out of range she puts one arm down so the other can go farther — and more often than not she can get back up to sitting position. And she spent a long time standing at the ottoman again today — the key is having something interesting up there, in today’s case the “do not remove upon penalty of law” tag on a pillow cover. She loves tags on stuff.

She’s making a lot of noises, too, that sound like random consonants and vowels. Especially at Rojo. Although none of what she said at him today sounded particularly like “Rojo,” there was one utterance that could’ve been, among other things, taking a run at “dog.” Probably wishful dad thinking, but it’s fun regardless.

Realmente creo que si pueda suceder algo pero no tan debastador como para matar al 90% de la poblacion ademas hay muchas teorias y si son creibles pero como un cometa que aparentemente no existe pasara muy cerca del planeta y lograra cambiar debastadoramente nuestro clima…. ¡es eso posible¡.

Split flac by cue file in Ubuntu

Lossless audio files can be split by cue file using “shnsplit” (part of the “shntool” package). You will also need the “cuebreakpoints” tool (part of the “cuetools” package). To install cuetools and shntool in Ubuntu/ Kubuntu, open a terminal window and enter the following:

sudo apt-get install cuetools shntool

You will also need software for your prefered lossless audio format. For FLAC you need to install “flac”.

Shnsplit requires a list of break-points with which to split an audio file. Conveniently, cuebreakpoints prints the break-points from a cue or toc file in a format that can be used by shnsplit. You can pipe the output of cuebreakpoints to shnsplit as follows:

cuebreakpoints sample.cue | shnsplit -o flac sample.flac

Or, without cuebreakpoints

shnsplit -f sample.cue -o flac -t “%n. %t” sample.flac < sample.cue

In this example, a flac file called “sample.flac” is split according to the break-points contained in “sample.cue” and the results are output in the flac format.

The output file format is specified via the “-o” option. If you don’t specify an output format your split files will be in shntool’s default format (i.e., wave files, “wav”).

To split a monkey’s audio file by cue file and output the results in the flac format:

cuebreakpoints sample.cue | shnsplit -o flac sample.ape

Note that a default prefix “split-track” is used to name the output files. (The default output format is split-track01, split-track02, split-track03, …). You can specify your own prefix via the “-a” option.

To see all the options for shntool split type “shntool split -h” or “shnsplit -h”.

Pay special attention to the -t fmt option to rename the split files:

shnsplit -f sample.cue -o flac -t “%n. %t” sample.flac < sample.cue

Transferring tags

The audio files output by shnsplit do not contain tag data. However you can use the “cuetag” script (installed as part of the cuetools package) to transfer tag data directly from a cue file to your split audio files. You specify the individual audio files corresponding to the tracks contained in your cue file as follows:

cuetag sample.cue split-track01.flac split-track02.flac split-track03.flac split-track04.flac

This will transfer the tag data contained in “sample.cue” to the flac audio tracks “split-track01.flac” “split-track02.flac” “split-track03.flac” and “split-track04.flac”.

The above command could be streamlined as:

cuetag sample.cue split-track*.flac or cuetag sample.cue *.*.flac

Cuetag works with flac, ogg and mp3 files. The cuetag script is not currently able to handle file names containing spaces.
