Top 5 Kombi of all time:

Tunnels never did manzai, and started off more as a monomane/gag duo. They were incredibly popular in the 80s and managed to obtain over 30% of the ratings nationwide with their shows (which is incredibly hard, for any show) and having seen their earlier works and Tunnels Mina-san okagedeshita, and Kuwazugirai, I can say I love those shows more than Downtown’s gottsu ee Kanjii and Gaki no tsukai. I love all 4 shows, but somehow I cannot imagine Gaki no tsukai without Matsumoto. Or Hamada. If either left, i dont think i would want to watch the show. That includes Heyx!3, their reliance on each other is amazing (as in a great bond) but it seems to say that we are only good as a team, and not solo. I love how Downtown takes punishments in their shows (theyre always the butt of the joke two, even though these two are incredibly big names in the show business). The second thing is, I love manzai too, but i just havent seen enough / understood enough to like it more than Tunnels work (which is understable without Japanese)

Ninety-nine is there solely because of Morning Musume and their connection with Tsunku, that and Okamura dances funny

Taka and Toshi are incredibly funny! Their manzai skits are…truly hilarious, though they tend to rely on their props to really cause the imagination to stir. But its amazing, Tunnels got to play pranks on them too! You can see Taka and Toshi skits on youtube (I may have linked to them in the past)

1. Ishibashi Takaaki
I had my first true encounter with Japanese, and I can say hes been the reason why I even like it
Taka-san is outrageously funny, ridiculous at times, yet hes still a very sensible and well respected man. Hard to explain, until at least you watch him at work. Hes INCREDIBLY knowledgeable and smart, frequently citing a lot of western and Japanese references (which is funny when they relate or you can understand where hes coming from). His work in Tunnels (the comedy duo) is legendary, being very naturally funny (more so than Downtown in Gotsu ee Kanjii, to me least least) although he never really did true manzai.

His face expressions are amazing, and basically he can pull off any kind of emotion on his face at any time…he should really be an actor. His dress sense is very conservative, but to me its clean and respectable. And with Taka-san, I feel like Im laughing at his expressions AND his actions/ what he says. He is just so straightforwardly funny, and he is incredibly daring, referring to different things, touching female artists, asking for their numbers, showing the audience his knowledge of the video equipment,  etc . His friendships with many famous people such as Nakai-kun, Matsuda Seiko, Tamori, Morning Musume etc are envious and it always seems like many positive things come out of it. His way of life (getting married, then having a child, being a family man, etc has also been positive to me), and hes like 180cm tall.

Even after their Tunnels era ended (in terms of popularity) hes been going well doing solo work, something that I cannot imagine Downtown (and neither can they) going solo. His successful transition is a reflection of his ability

Simply put, I LOVE HIM!!! Hes the best comedian

2. Although Taka-san is very much above everyone else in this list, Matsumoto comes 2nd (though not TOOO close).
Heres where I explain why Taka-san is my #1 vs why Matsumoto is my 2nd. So basing it on their comedic abilities alone, I think Taka-san and Matsumoto are pretty much even and equal. Their quick, their ad-lib skills are amazing and they can think of a reference / retort /challenge (all humourous of course) to anything. The thing that gives Taka the edge is that because of being in Tunnels and doing monomane and ippatsu gags a lot, he has more control of his face and can pull of a billion expressions that Matsumoto cant. So basically, as neither do manzai [anymore] and I see them mostly on Utaban and Heyx!3, Taka-san is the better of the two.  This and the above list on Tunnels vs Downtown will explain why. I really do like Matsumoto though, and its hard to say, if I could understand Japanese and manzai, where his position would be (though I would understand Tunnels works more too)

3. Hamada is well respected and I like how hes angry, scary and totally sadistic. hes regarded more as the head of the group for Downtown, for various reasons I can see (such as taking the lead) but he is just not as naturally funny as matsumoto or Taka…even not doing his tsukommi role.

4. Okamura is only here because of the morning musume relations and acts he has done, otherwise I would of liked to put Sanma here (though I havent really understood what he was talking about)

5. Tamori is here for his amazing ability to renact a lizard and freak out Matsuda Seiko and Tunnels!

Retomando la historia en este capitulo…

La Catastrofe está sobre el mundo entero, Estados Unidos está vuelto nada, y el resto de las personas pretenden seguir con sus vidas como nada, aunque algunos esperarán, y muchos otros… saben lo que tienen encima.

Los protas de esta historia solo esperan, no se pueden mantener ignorantes a la situación , pero el que menos pretende esperar hasta el último momento es Nishi, quien a plena luz del día camina con super-armas en mano y mano.

Mientras Nishi prácticamente aconseja a Kato que no se duerma en los laureles algo comienza a suceder, algo que llama la atención de todos….

Y que cunda el pánico, Kurono ha llegado a tiempo para proteger a Tae quien estaba viendo clases, mientras todo en Tokio comienza a caer a pedazos, gracias a estas “estrellas fugaces”…

Y como si eso no fuera suficiente…

Sobre el capitulo:

Muy bien, otra de mis series favoritas ya está cerca del final, así es, Gantz, por boca de Hiroya Oku (Mangaka, autor, creador o como quieran llamarlo) esta ya es la fase final de esta serie por eso ya no es, Gantz Second Phase sino, Gantz Final Phase.

El Capitulo, no trae mucho de nuevo, ya sabíamos por el final de la fase pasada que el mundo caería y estaba cayendo a pedazos porquiensabeque, Estados Unidos ya está vuelto leña, y los otros, a esperar para ver sentados los fuegos artificiales, o las estrellas fugaces, no aporta nada nuevo, se puede justificar por tratarse un “primer capitulo”, un medio recap, una especie de: “esta es la situación exacta por si acaso no recordaban”…

¿Cómo no vamos a recordarla?

Si estamos al día con la serie, o por lo menos, si llegamos hasta este capitulo es porque nos gusta la uta serie, y como buenos seguidores de Gantz que debemos ser, dudo mucho que alguno haya olvidado en donde quedamos hace unos meses.

Por algún motivo me huele que será algo parecido con la Segunda Fase, capítulos con escenas dantescas, fuertes o lo que sea, diálogos del tipo “Uuuhh”, “Ahhh”, “Grrr”, “Cuidado”, “Dispara”, “Kuronoooo”, “Katooo” y cosas así, no veo calma ni periodo de paz próximo dentro de esta historia, solo queda ver y leer como se va resolviendo todo…

Algo más…

Se ve que Oku está disfrutando el asunto de colorear su historia, vamos que los colores que vimos en el 303 y los de este 304 son relativamente distintos, incluso ahora se ven más reales, mucho, pero muchísimo mejor…

Lo olvidaba, en la portada hay un Gantzer que no conozco, ese no es ninguno de los otros, ni Nishi, ni Sakurai, uno tiene ojos malevolos y el otro cabello rojizo, ¿Quien será? ¿o que papel jugará?

Bueno, ya será hasta la próxima semana cuando retomemos con el 305…

Bueno, más vale tarde que nunca, se suponía que tendría esta reseña lista antes de que comenzara la fase final de esta super serie de Hiroya Oku pero entre la flojera y las ocupaciones mi tiempo límite también ha llegado, y ahora corró en el trabajo para continuar donde me había quedado…

En un cliffhangoso capitulo que nos deja en una terrible espera de tres meses…

Aparte del hecho de que Hiroya Oku ahora se vea emocionado experimentando con colores nos encontramos con el capitulo que algún día debía llegar una vez anunciado hace ya varios otros atrás de la boca de Joichiro Nishi y es que la Catastrofe ha llegado, Catastrofe que dabe subtitulo a la llamada Segunda Fase, Catastrofe que hoy comenzamos a presenciar…

El cielo Carmesí no es debe ser un buen presagio y es lo que todos alrededor del globo ven al comenzar el día…

El día ha llegado y como Kurono no se encotraba ajeno a la posibilidad corre a vestirse de Gantzer.

El temor ante la incertidumbre en este fénomeno con testigos alrededor del globo es inevitable, profesores que sugieren que no cunda el panico, amarillistas anunciando el fin (lo arrecho es que ahora sí es verdad que el fin está cerca… o eso parece)

No solo vemos la situación y reacción de cada uno de nuestros protagonistas, de pronto vemos como va todo en Los Estados Unidos donde detectan un quien sabe que, un quien sabe que de velocidad increible

Y al poco tiempo la noticia se hace saber por todo el mundo, Estados Unidos ha sido destruido, todos se van por lo normal… un posible ataque terrorista…  sabemos que no es así y que la verdad pocos la saben, todo es parte de la Catastrofe.

Sobre el capitulo:

Bueno, típico capitulo a lo final de temporada de una serie de suspenso y acción, momento que los dejan a uno en shock con imagenes aún más impactantes además de “revelaciones” (sí, vamos a tomar esa palabra como algo relativo), digo, la destrucción de los Estados Unidos es más que todo para darnos una idea de lo terrible que puede ser esta catastrofe, considerando esta naicón como una gran potencia en aspecto militar.

Oku aseguró que haría más enfasis en esta segunda fase en los aspectos personales de los protas, eso lo hizo, todas las situaciones quedaron “solucionadas” digo, la que queda un poco en puntos suspensivos y a la vez no tanto es la del Kurono demás y el lío existencial, el problema con Reika y todo lo demás, aunque despues se la pensó de otra manera y se resignó solucionando así también el lío de Reika y su patetica obsesión Kuronesca.

Respuestas…

También habló de respuestas a ciertos misterios este Oku…

Se explicaron muchas cosas y nos dieron una visión bastante clara de lo que sucede y porqué sucede y aunque al principio no quería aceptar el asunto de que todo es creación del hombre, consiguieron darle la vuelta al asunto, para mi, de una manera bastante satisfactoria, sin embargo y como sucede en Lost, muchas respuestas solo traen más preguntas y así quedan en el aire otro montón de incognitas, entre ellas

¿Como funciona realmente todo?

Nos explicaron tecnicamente como funciona el asunto de la hija de aquel millonario alemán, un tipo misterioso que parece saber mucho, pero mucho más de lo que dijo, ahora recuerdo, ¿?donde quedaremos ahora con el reportero (no recuerdo su nombre)

Retomando lo de este señor extraño que cuenta como funciona todo el asunto al reportero, Kikuchi creo que es el nombre del reportero, el tipo no es solo que sepa, sino que forma parte de todo esto rollo, recordemos cuando demuestra todo de lo que es capaz de hacer, o parte de ello… y aparte está todo el asunto religioso, la posición de dios ante la humanidad, tema sobre el que él habla y sobre el que el Nurarihyon habla a Kato…

Grades cosas se explicaron, otras más… bueno, me parece que tendrán tiempo para solucionarlas, son menos las incognitas, pero las hay.

Bueno, eso es todo, creo que no me queda más por agregar, y ahora, a disfrutar de la última fase de uno de los mangas que más me han gustado…

Japanese publisher Shueisha has revealed the news that a 12 episode anime TV series titled Aoi Bungaku (Blue Book) will premiere on October 10 at 1:20am. The series will consist of adaptations of four modern classics of Japanese literature: Osamu Dazai’s No Longer Human (Ningen Shikkaku) & Run, Melos! (Hashire, Melos!), Natsume Soseki’s Kokoro, and Ryunosuke Akutagawa’s Hell Screen (Jigoku Hen).

Famous mangaka will also be part of this series.

Takeshi Obata (Death Note, Bakuman) will participate in the creation of the No Longer Human & Kokoro segments. Takeshi Konomi of Prince of Tennis will participate in Run, Melos! While Bleach manga creator Tite Kubo will participate in the segment of Hell Screen.

Akhirnya, Aiko telat juga…

Okurette desu~ *waratte*

bermula ketika Aiko bangun tidur. Begitu melihat jam yang menunjukkan 06.18 pagi… Bukannya langsung bergegas mandi, Aiko malah bengong dan mendengarkan lagu Sayonara yang baru semalam di downloadnya.
Aiko: Ha? Udah jam 6 lewat?? Aduh, gue telat… Gimana nii? Apa gue ijin aja? Tapi, ama sapa?

Aiko pun akhirnya ijin untuk tidak masuk pada temannya.

Namun, setelah ‘curhat’ dengan sang senpai (baca: Oni) yang malah menghajarnya krn berniat tidak masuk, akhirnya, Aiko pun masuk sekolah dengan persiapan ala kadarnya.

Mau tak mau, menuju sekolah itu harus pake motor, yang tak lain dan tak bukan hanya dikendarai oleh Chichi-ue, maka… Dengan berat hati, Aiko pun membangunkan Ayahnya yang masih asyik tertidur.

Bisa ditebak kalo chichi-ue marah-marah kuadrat dengan mata merah.

Dengan misuh-misuh, Chichi-ue pun mengantarkan anak kurang ajarnya ini ke sekolah.

Yokatta deshita. Yosh! Belum telat!!

Aquiles y la tortuga

Lie to me – Temporada 1

Director: Beat Takeshi (Takeshi Kitano)

Genre: Gangster

Country: Japan/US

Summary: Yakuza member Yamamoto (Takeshi) is forced to leave Japan after the yakuza is broken up by the death of his boss. He goes to Los Angeles and meets up with his half brother, then decides to take over the drug sales of the Mexican mafia and re-establish his crime empire in America. Along the way, he picks up a protege (Omar Epps) and earns the ire of the Italian mob.

Impressions: Well, it’s another Takeshi Kitano movie. That man loves to direct, probably more than he enjoys acting. If you don’t know, Kitano’s been in a shit-ton of films. Notably, he directed Hanabi, Kikujiro, and the remake of Zatoichi (all Japanese films). He’s acted in movies like the Battle Royale series and Johhny Mnemonic. He’s got like 50 movies listed on Wikipedia.

If Brother had been successful at the box office, Takeshi would have expanded to making American features. Unfortunately, it was not well-received and afterward Takeshi said he would not make any more films outside Japan. It’s too bad, because he is a good director. However, Brother is not one of his better works.

Takeshi is notorious for being a silent, stoic actor, and it’s obvious here, where Takeshi has what amounts to maybe a hundred words of dialogue onscreen in a two-hour film. He smiles maybe three times and never moves more than a twitch to reach the gun hidden in his coat. My criticism is: While he comes off looking cool, it is at the expense of his acting prowess.

There are a lot of of scenes in the film that follow the Japanese trend of being incredibly patient. In nearly all of the Japanese films I’ve watched, there are long, drawn-out moments of silence and inaction that force the viewer to evaluate the film or go get popcorn. I don’t really appreciate this trend but I understand it’s importance to the culture. This movie might have too many of them, though. There is a scene where a bunch of yakuza are playing basketball for about four minutes but repeat their motions in such a way that you watch the same shot occur maybe thirty times in one take.

Stuff like that really detracts from the film. Also, besides Epps (from House fame) and Takeshi, no one really knows how to act in this film. Or rather, they don’t get the chance to. There really isn’t much dialogue in the film and the action occurs so quickly that you can’t take stock of any character’s abilities. I wish that Takeshi would give his actors more to work with; it would definitely help his appeal with American audiences.

C: Gak tau, *langsung nyeruput kopi’a*

Denga deg-degan Aiko pun membuka bungkusan yg bertuliskan ‘Nokia 6600 fold’ . Dengan histeris, bukan’a langsung membuka bungkusan t’sebut, Aiko malah guling2an memikirkan nama bagi sang suami.

Written by Tsugumi Ohba and illustrated by Takeshi Obata
Most people would have heard of this series in some form. It’s a manga that became an anime, that became 3 movies, that became a novel!
The basic premis is that a death god (shinigami) has dropped his note book in the human world. Ankd when any persons name is written in this book they die. At this point lots of people think “oh it’s some gross horror manga with lots of blood” but it’s actually an extremely slick kind of murder mystery.
An angsty top-of-the-class teen ends up finding the death note and discovering its power. I remember thinking when I first started that I’d figured it out, that the series was gonna be all about the protaganist struggling with his morals over whether or not to use the death note to kill the bully at school or the guy that hits on his girl, but i was totally wrong! The protaganist is actually more of an anti hero who takes it upon himself to play god and use the death note to execute known criminals.
Of course once the world discovers this pattern occuring the goverment sets their top detective on the case. What plays out from there is an amazingly written game of cat and mouse between this mastermind detective and a high school genius.
I haven’t spoiled it for u, this series has so many twists and turns that I seriously couldn’t put it down and I missed my train stop once or twice!
The art is great, a perfect compliment to this modern gothic story! I think it only just scrapes into the Shonen catagory as it’s far from a teen series. Tsugumi has written only one other series called Bakuman, about some kid aspiring to become a manga artist, which I’m reluctant to read as it sounds very “high school drama”-ish. Can anyone tell me what that series is like?

If you’ve already read this Death Note and liked it, I’d recommend Monster by Naoki Urasawa, and also the Death Note movies and anime which are great adaptaions, not sure about the anime but the movies have an alternate ending to the manga if you’re interested.

¡Hola! Sí, vuestra escritora tardada preferida ha vuelto aunque no se sabe por cuánto tiempo… las nuevas que tenga para vosotros: mi base cambiará de nuevo este verano y os estaré escribiendo de la bella ciudad de Madrid, otra vez. Bueno, o del pueblo perdido (que no por eso no está bello ^^) de Torres de la Alameda, para ser más precisos.

Hmm… aparte de eso, sabed que mi ordenador a vuelto a darle uno de esos ataques inducidos por o sobreuso o algún virus que mi adorado hermanito le habrá metido. Así que lo de subir fics, no sé, tardará algo, aunque ya tengo escrito algunos drabbles, y la mitad del capítulo de ‘en reinos…’. ¿Algo más que añadir? No creo, sólo que sé que me estoy tardando con escribir, actualizar el blog, mantener la estupidez esa de Facebook al día… y encima leer, estudiar, recorrer el mundo y todas las otras varias cosas que componen mi vida.

Tenedme paciencia, es lo único que pido, por enñesima vez y gracias a los que dejais comentarios en los fics en los posts en todo… espero pronto contestarlos y corregir los errores que me mencionais.

Chapter starts with Yamamoto’s box release. It’s a sword-wielding dog called Jirou (a very friendly akita dog, btw) . Yamamoto says that he, like Genkishi, uses four swords style to fight, so he asks if he can go and get his fourth sword back (it’s the one his father gave him, the Shigure Kintoki). Genkishi ignores him and attack, but Yamamoto uses a flame-bladed sword to impulse him to where his other sword is. He gets the sword and uses other two to impulse him at Genkishi, crossing their swords. The shockwave hurts Genkishi’s face. He uses an illusion and vanish in thin air. Suddenly, Yamamoto uses his Vongola Ring flame as impulse and , throwing his two flame-bladed swords, hits Genkishi. Everyone is surprised with Yamamoto’s new strength, Genkishi included. He can’t believe that Yamamoto was able to panetrate his illusion with him synchronised with his Illusionary Sea-Slugs. Then, Yamamoto reveals his other box weapon: Rondine Pioggia (Rain Swallow), that has been covering Genkishi’s tree of sea-slugs with Rain-element flames. Since Rain-element’s flames speciality is “Calm”, Genkishi’s slugs were getting duller, and that caused his synchronizing to fail. Ieri sera ero solo soletto a casa e volevo a tutti i costi vedere Kikujiro, il film di Takeshi Kitano di cui tutti parlavano ma su cui non ero mai riuscito a mettere le mani. Trovare online film Giapponesi non è facile ( ne legale ) e comprarli in Italia è un impresa mica da poco. In più spesso ci sono film di cui non conosciamo neanche la conoscenza!

L’unico difetto, se così si può chiamare è che sono sottotitolati in inglese, per me non c’è nessun problema anzi, magari per alcuni di voi questo potrebbe esserlo, ma provateci cmq, spesso i dialoghi sono molto semplice e così imparerete due lingue in un colpo solo!
