Haha, my mom went to the market so I opened the computer to download an episode of Tantei Gakuen Q, and of course, to post here. Nothing really important. XD

And I got another gift in the “A Johnny’s A Day” app from my friends in Facebook.  Yaho~!

But, well, you see I’m not really allowed to use the computer all the time. It “DISTRACTS” on my studies. XD

Untuk lebih memudahkan teman-teman semuanya, saya bikin review list dan diberi rating skala 1-10 pada tiap drama yang udah saya tonton. Tapi nggak semua pendapat saya sama dengan kalian, karena itu, akan lebih baik kalau temen-temen juga nyari referensi lain. Sekali lagi, ini pendapat pribadi loch ya… jangan ada yang tersinggung. Hehehe.

14 Sai no Haha	I don’t think Shida Mirai & Miura Haruma make a good pairing in here, tapi cerita yang disediakan bener-bener worth it utk ditonton. Cerita tentang perempuan umur 14 tahun yang harus menjadi ‘mama’ akibat hamil di luar pernikahan.	8.5
33pun Tantei	Kocak abis! Detektif ngaco yang memanjangkan suatu kasus mudah agar ngepas waktunya 33 menit *waktu airing drama tsb* Karena fansubber nge-drop drama ini, terpaksa berhenti nontonnya.	–
A Million Stars Falling from the Sky	Kimutaku bermain sbg cowok playboy yang sering mendapat keuntungan dengan cara memacari para cewek. Ending yang mungkin agak ketebak (mungkin jg nggak) sebenernya agak mengecewakan. Agak draggy dan lambat banget. Not one of my faves of kimutaku.	4
Abarenbo Mama	Aya Ueto jadi mama dadakan karena anak suaminya tiba-tiba muncul. Cukup menghibur cuma nggak nonton sampai selesai karena fansubber nge-drop project ini..	–
Akai Ito	Definitely worth to watch! Perpaduan alur drama yang smooth, suasana sekolah yang hangat, konflik remaja yang khas, dan masalah-masalah yang sering dihadapi remaja bikin drama ini jadi highly recommended. Nggak cheesy sama sekali, (semua dalam batas wajar, nggak lebay). Dan banyak banget pesan moral yang diambil dari sini.	9
Akihabara@Deep	Kalau yang nggak terlalu suka sama dunia otaku (geeky yang terlalu nge-fans sama sesuatu. Biasanya diindikasikan sebagai orang aneh yang agak freak), mendingan jangan ditonton. Tapi sumpah ini drama kocak abis! Cerita tentang 5 (ato 6?? Lupa. Hehe) orang yang terbuang dari masyarakat, ditemukan oleh suatu situs. Akhirnya mereka membentuk grup Akihabara@Deep karena banyak kejadian aneh menimpa Akihabara. Tugas mereka untuk melindungi Akihabara dari orang jahat. Kasusnya menarik, dan yang paling penting kocak banget.	7.5
At Home Dad	Belum selesai nonton, tapi episode pertama cukup menarik. Cerita tentang Kepala Keluarga (Ayah) yang harus tinggal di rumah, sedangkan Ibu bekerja di luar rumah. Satu lagi dari Hirose Abe&Shinohara Ryoko yang kayaknya rekomen untuk ditonton	–
Atashinci no Danshi	Agak cheesy, untuk ukuran drama jepang. Akting Horikita cukup meningkat, tapi yang cukup mengganggu a/ akting Mukai Osamu. Entah ada yang kurang. Cukup kocak, tapi entah kenapa kurang puas, dan segalanya kurang maksimal. IMO sih, tapi banyak yang suka sama drama ini, jadi ya… boleh dicoba. Siapa tau berbeda pendapatnya. J	6
Attention Please!	Dramanya agak episodik, tapi cukup menarik untuk ditonton, mengisahkan kehidupan pramugari. Aya berperan sebagai wanita yang memutuskan jadi pramugari hanya karena orang yang disukainya bilang bahwa ia suka wanita yang pakai seragam pramugari. Walaupun seorang yang tomboy dan vokalis band rock, Aya mencoba untuk mendaftar di perusahaan penerbangan dan tidak disangka diterima! Kehidupan yang sulit pun dimulai…	7.5
Bambino	Cukup menarik, matsujun sebagai seorang koki dari kota kecil di Jepang, dan mengadu peruntungan di Tokyo. Tapi agak klise dan ngebosenin.	5.5
Bloody Monday	Outstanding! Bagi yang suka drama action, polisi, juga hacker, patut dicoba. Alurnya bikin darah mendidih dan cukup addict untuk terus nonton episode selanjutnya. Definitely worth to watch!	9
BOSS	Satu-satunya drama yang menarik perhatian di tahun 2009 ini. Alur, cast, cerita, akting, semuanya nearly perfect! Suka sama joke-joke komedi di sela-sela penyelidikan. Bercerita tentang Boss di kepolisian divisi tindak-balasan yang baru pulang training dr Amerika. Dijanjikan anak buah yang oke dan elit, tapi yang ada malah yang agak aneh dan low-level. Menarik melihat boss yang perfeksionis + anak buah biasa aja bekerja sama. Drama action yang rekomen banget!	10
Celeb to Binbo Taro	Bisa dibilang ini drama paling stereotip tahun ini. Semuanya bisa ditebak, alur cerita yang banyak ditemuin di drama lain, ending yang agak mustahil, Adegan kocak yang dipaksain, dan akting Ueto Aya yang nggak maksimal, bikin drama ini jadi nomor kesekian untuk diselesain. Yang spesial cuma setting dan kostum Aya yang lucu-lucu.	4
Change	Kimutaku jadi presiden! Bagi yang suka politik, patut dan (sangat) disarankan untuk nonton dorama ini! Dan malah sangat disarankan buat politikus yang tukang korup dan kerja setengah-setengah.	8.5
Cat Street	Tanimura kurang pas jadi Aoyama Keito, aktris cilik super cantik&berbakat yang menghilang dari peredaran dan menjadi shut-in person selama 7 tahun karena dikhianati teman baiknya. Cuma cukup worth it buat ditonton.	6
Code Blue	My fave of Yamapi! Setting, cast, alur, soundtrack semuanya hampir sempurna, kecuali Aragaki Yui yang terlihat terlalu muda untuk ukuran dokter umur 26 tahun (not to mention her flawful acting). Agak mirip Grey Anatomy, tapi gw suka cara Jepang mengemas drama kedokteran ini. Cukup memacu semangat untuk nonton. Walau episodik, tiap kasus pasien cukup asik buat ditonton	9
Dance Drill	Oh no! Semuanya salah, kecuali dance yang cukup keren. Amat ngebosenin, karena klimaks dance keren itu ada di episode terakhir, sedangkan konflik yang ada di drama ini nggak terlalu worth it untuk ditonton. But give a big hand for its soundtrack! Uverworld really made a great job.	3
Densha Otoko	Gua cinta dorama ini!! Haha…. Keren banget-nget!! Buat yang suka komedi romantis, rekomen banget nih buat ditonton. Komedinya nggak setengah-setengah. 4 thumbs up!	9.5
Detektif Conan Live Action	Selain cast-nya yang agak-agak ngaco, semuanya cukup asik buat ditonton. Kasusnya juga nggak ada di komik, dan yang penting Shinichinya ganteng dahsyat. Ehehe…..	6
Dragon Zakura	Hiroshi Abe lagi-lagi menggebrak. Banyak cara-cara unik yang diterapkan agar murid didiknya (dari sekolah yang terkenal bego) bisa lulus ujian masuk Todai (Universitas Tokyo). Rekomen nih buat yang mau Snmptn. Hehe….	7.5
Engine	Aneh banget ngeliat Koyuki & Kimutaku ada di satu screen. Cerita tentang si bengal Kimutaku yang sama sekali nggak suka anak kecil. Sejak ia pulang dari Spanyol (ceritanya dia racer), dia agak kaget karena rumahnya tiba-tiba dijadikan panti asuhan oleh Ayahnya (dia nggak suka anak kecil). Tiap episode menarik, selalu nggak sabar ngeliat kelanjutannya, dan akting Kimutaku keren!	8
Galileo Episode Zero	Cerita tentang pertama kalinya Yukawa-sensei bertemu dengan teman lamanya. Kasusnya keren banget. Buat yang suka fisika nggak rugi nih nonton. Tapi yang nggak suka juga cukup enak ditonton, karena penjelasannya jelas banget, nggak kayak guru di sekolah. Hehe…	10
Galileo	Penggemar fisika siap-siap nih! Setiap kasus pembunuhan yang terjadi bisa dijelaskan dengan ilmu fisika dengan ciamiknya oleh Yukawa-sensei. Penjelasannya sangat jelas karena ada percobaannya. Semua kasus menarik karena aneh dan kejahatan tingkat tinggi.	10
GodHand Teru	Tangan tuhan yang nggak pernah gagal dalam satu operasi pun. Sebenernya biasa aja sih untuk ukuran drama kedokteran.	5
Gokusen 1	Ini pengalaman pertama nonton Gokusen. Hahaa…. Berkesan sekali, walau cukup monoton karena tipikal drama yang ‘teratur’. Konflik memuncak, lalu reda di ending setiap episodenya.Yang belum  nonton gokusen, mending nonton yang pertama aja, karena keren dan lebih menyentuh dari yang gokusen 2&3.	7.5
Gokusen 2	Bahkan gw males nyelesainnya.	1.5
Gokusen 3	Masih dengan cerita dan alur yang hampir sama dengan yang 1 & 2. Gw takjub kenapa dorama ini dapet rating tinggi lagi di Jepang. Cukup menarik tapi, karena ada Haruma. Hehe. I’m biassed.	6
Good Luck	Suka sekali sama drama inii! Kimutaku masih fresh dan Shibasaki Kou cantik sekali *walaupun jutek*. Dan yang lebih menarik lagi, bisa tau tentang dunia perpilotan.	8
GTO	Bagi gw ini rajanya dorama sekolah. Haha…. Mungkin tingkat interest-nya sama kayak nonton Jyoou no Kyoushitsu, tapi GTO ini beda aja. Bikin ketagihan dan sekali nonton nggak bisa berhenti. Buat yang belum nonton, cepet nonton karena dijamin nggak bakal nyesel.	10
Hana Kimi Ikemen Paradise	Hiyaaaa…. Ini drama bocor abis! Keren! Semua joke-nya gw suka!! Belum lagi banyak orang ganteng di sini.. Dijamin puas nontonnyaaa! Emang pas adegan yang ada Sano-nya agak lambat, Cuma ketutup lah sama komedinya. Super highly recommended.	9
Hana Yori Dango 1&2	Salah satu drama yang agak overrated. Terlalu melodrama dan klise. Tipikal drama yang terlalu memberi impian pada penonton, Cuma lumayan bagus lah. Dari segi cerita, cast, dan karakter, gw lebih refer nonton ini ketimbang Meteor Garden dan Boys Before Flower *no offense*. Aura jahat ibunya kerasa dan karakternya melekat banget di setiap castnya. Japanese is the best of Hana Yori Dango amongst three versions.	7
Hotaru no Hikari	Aaaaaa! Drama ini bener-bener menarik perhatian sekali! Perpaduan Hotaru yang agak-agak bego dalam urusan cinta dan buchou (manajer) yang super ganteng dan serius-tapi-bisa-juga-bercanda sangat-sangat-sangat sayang dilewatkan. Banyak yang menyayangkan sedikitnya adegan romantis, tapi gestur tubuh dan gerak-gerik mereka berdua cukup untuk menggambarkan chemistry di antara mereka berdua.	10
Hanayome to Papa	Nggak bisa mungkir kalau Satomi Ishihara emang jago akting. Jadi anak umur 20 tahun yang masih digelayuti Bapaknya kemana-mana emang susah, ya. Apalagi Satomi udah kerja! Nah lho!	7
Innocent Love	Cinta antara Kanon dan Junya bener-bener innocent. Akting Horikita agak maksa di sini, apalagi Junya. Cuma ceritanya bagus dan mengharukan, cukup catch your interest, walau cenderung agak lambat. Eternally-nya Utada Hikaru pas banget jadi theme song drama ini.	6.5
Iryu (Team Medical Dragon)	Drama kedokteran yang paling keren yang pernah ada! Bagi yang kuliah di jurusan kedokteran sangat disarankan nonton ini. Semuanya, nearly flawless.	9
Jikou Keisatsu	Belum selesai nontonnya… Ugh agak ngebosenin but still fighting on it.	–
Kanojo to no Tadashi Asobikata	Pantes banget memenangkan kontes menulis skenario, karena alurnya rapi dan cerita yang ditampilkan pun unik. Chemistry Hiro dan — pas banget dan sukaaa banget hiro memperlakukan Hime dengan respect dan manis. <3	10
Kiina	Kanno Miho ciamik banget berperan sebagai detektif wanita yang penampilan luarnya sama sekali nggak keliatan kalo dia detektif. Kiina cenderung ‘selenge’an’, tapi penyelesaiannya semua jitu. Kasus yang terjadi berdasarkan kejanggalan2 yang terjadi di seluruh dunia.	9
Kindaichi Shonen no Jikenbo	Semua Kindaichi Shonen no Jikenbo kereeen! Dari season 1, 2, 3, sampe semua SP-nya. Biar udah ganti pemeran sampe 3 kali, kasusnya tetep outstanding bagi gw.	9.5
Koshonin	Di kepolisian Jepang ada divisi khusus untuk bernegosiasi dengan penjahat. Biasa ditujukan untuk penjahat yang memegang sandera atau penjahat yang membahayakan orang lain. Divisi ini disebut Koshonin. Walau awal episode alurnya agak lambat, tapi selanjutnya memicu adrenalin dengan kasus-kasus keren, dan endingnya apalagi. Mantab!	9
Kurosagi	Banyak yang suka drama ini, tapi entah kenapa gw nggak terlalu suka. Kurosagi ini adalah penipu ulung yang biasa menipu untuk mengambil kembali uang yang dicurangi oleh koruptor (koruptor dalam arti luas lho, nggak Cuma politikus aja. Orang yang makan uang kotor lah).Cuma nggak ada yang spesial somehow. Pairing Yamaki kayaknya terlalu overrated menurut gw. Kalau berharap drama yang lebih seru dan menantang, lebih baik jangan nonton yang ini karena agak ngebosenin dan episodik. Again, this is my personal opinion, you might like it.	5
Last Friend	Waaa! Bikin emosi! Itu kesan gw waktu nonton ini. Maksudnya akting pemain dan jalan cerita bener-bener mencampuradukkan emosi gw. Michiru yang polos-polos annoying, Ruka yang selallu menyimpan masalah sendiri, Eri yang ceria, Takeru yg baik hati, Ogurin si pembangkit suasana, dan Sosuke yang selalu minta ditabok membuat drama ini jadi penuh konflik dan warna. Ending bukan ending unpredictable yang biasa diharapkan oleh banyak penonton, tapi cukup memuaskan. Bener-bener nggak nyesel nonton drama ini.	8
Liar Game	Aargh, nggak ada yang lebih irritating daripada ngeliat orang yang gampang ketipu walau udah berkali-kali ditipu. Heroine-nya agak bodoh di sini, tapi ketolong sama pemeran utama cowoknya yang pinter nipu juga dan aktingnya keren. Selepas dari itu, alur drama ini cukup cepet dan bikin emosi, karena banyak karakter yang ngeselin. Tapi highly recommended kok, karena idenya yang unik.	8
Life	Baru kali ini gw tahan sama drama bullying. Biasanya drama berbau gini bener-bener gw hindari, tapi pendapat gw berubah ngeliat LIFE. Life bener-bener mengocok emosi, karena melihat penindasan yang terjadi di sekolah tapi semua orang dan guru pun seolah tutup mata melihat ini semua. Alurnya juga cepet nggak bertele-tele, jadi membuat kita terus ‘siaga’ ngeliat adegan bully apa selanjutnya. Nice closing though. Sangat direkomendasikan.	9.5
Love Shuffle	Cerita tentang orang yang bosen sama pasangannya dan mencetuskan ide gila untuk bertukar pasangan seminggu sekali. Cukup menarik, dan nggak bisa ditebak.	9q
Majo saiban	Awalnya menurut gw agak aneh dan maksa, tapi lama-lama cukup enjoy. Belum selesai jadi belum bisa ngasih rating	–
Maou	Terlalu dramatis. Haha. Tapi gw suka alurnya. Aktingnya biasa aja, nggak ada yang spesial. Oh, tapi gw lbh suka sama akting Toma-kun daripada Ohno-kun. Entah kenapa. I’m biassed, perhaps. Hehe.	7
Mei-chan no Shitsuji	Ada yang bilang bagus, ada yang bilang jelek. Menurut gw cukup menghibur. Mizushima Hiro ganteng dahhhsyaaat di sini. Akting nggak usah ditanya. Bisa dibilang Hiro cukup berbakat. Tapi what annoys me most was Eikura Nana. Oh, she should do something abour her acting skills. Aktingnya kebanting sama Hiro. Yah… ni drama average lah., karena adegan lucunya boleh juga. J	7.5
Mr Brain	Aaaah, kereeen! Kimutaku is really something! Tiap ada dia artis pendukungnya nggak tanggung-tanggung!! Ada Gackt, Sato Takeru, Nakama Yukie, dll. Selain itu dorama ini membahas banyak tentang otak, dan sudah pasti menarik banget. A must watching list!	10
My Boss My Hero	Ketawa terus ngeliat dorama ini. Nagase Tomoya udah nggak diraguin lagi kalau masalah akting.	8.5
Nodame Cantabile	Chiaki Senpaaaaai!!! Ganteng dahsyat! Komedi yang rada slapstick, tapi gw betah dan suka banget ngeliat joke-joke ala animenya. Bagi beberapa orang mungkin ngeliat drama ini aneh, tapi nggak ada salahnya dicoba, karena drama ini lucu banget!	9.5
Nobuta wo Produce	Selain alurnya yang bikin ngantuk, gw suka ngeliat persahabatan tak-terlihatnya Shuji, Akira, dan Nobuta. Walau banyak yang bilang drama ini the best of yamapi, gw malah jadi ilfil ngeliat dia di sini. Tapi drama yang menyabet 7 penghargaan ini boleh juga dimasukin waiting list.	7
Orange Day	Keren! Kehidupan sehari-hari banget dan banyak nilai moral yang diambil. Suka ngeliat komunikasi Sae dan Kai dengan bahasa isyarat….	9
Oh My Girl	Drama keluarga yang sarat akan pesan moral. Akting si Ann, aktris ciliknya bagus. Cuma mungkin kalau ditonton sekaligus agak bosen.	5.5
Papa to Musume no Nanokakan	Gimana rasanya kalau tukeran tubuh sama papa? Koume dan Papanya nggak begitu akrab, karena itu mereka kelabakan pas tau tubuh mereka ketuker. Papanya, walau agak lebay tapi aktingnya oke jadi cewek remaja. Dan Aragaki Yui… hmmm no comment lah. Entah kenapa gw selalu kecewa sama performa dia.	6.5
Proposal Daisakusen	This is my favorite! Walau gw bukan penggemar Yamapi, tapi boleh dibilang this is the best of him. Aktingnya cukup bagus dibanding drama lainnya. Dan yang paling penting ceritanya yang menyentuh hati dan ending yang bikin penasaran. Jgn lupa nonton Spesialnya untuk tau ending dari kisah Kenzo dan Rei.	8.8
Q.E.D	Mengecewakan : alur lambat, cast kana nggak pas. Lumayan : untung gw penggemar manganya, jadi selamet ditonton sampe akhir dan kasusnya lumayan bagus.	4.5
The Quiz Show	Karena gw belum nonton yang pertama, menurut gw yang ini boleh juga ditonton. Sinopsis bisa dilihat di sini. Sho did a great job!	7
Ryokiteki na Kanojo	Suatu kesalahan My sassy girl diadaptasi jadi drama. Pemeran pendukungnya nggak banget! Dan si Sassy Girl-nya sendiri juga kurang jutek. Agak maksa. Nggak rekomen deh.	3
Rookies	Keren! Keren! Semuanya keren! Cerita tentang sekelompok murid yang merasa terbuang karena mereka nggak bisa main baseball lagi karena suatu kasus. Pihak sekolah pun nggak bersusah payah untuk memperjuangkan hak klub baseball, karena itu mereka jadi anak yang bengal dan kasar. Sampai seorang guru datang….	8
Ryusei no Kizuna	Bilangnya suspense dan action drama, dan gw nunggu sampai episode kesekian dan nggak lebih dari drama keluarga biasa. Dari awal gw mengharap adegan action yang bikin semangat dan deg-degan, tapi nggak gw temuin sampe akhir episode. Karena ekspektasi gw nggak terpenuhi, jadinya gw menganggap drama ini mengecewakan. Tapi, kalau boleh ditilik ulang, dari segi penulisan skenario dan alur, serta akting para pemain, drama ini nggak jelek, bahkan berhasil menerima beberapa penghargaan. Kalau dilihat lagi, memang drama ini bagus dan cukup komedi, tapi gw kecewa karena suspense dan action nggak dibuktikan di situ. Oh… tapi endingnya nggak ketebak. J	5 (based on personal opinion)
Sailor Fuku to Kikanju	Gw suka! Full of violence, karena ini bercerita tentang dunia Yakuza. Yakuza yang disini ini Yakuza yang baik, tapi dalam dunia ini pasti juga ada yang jahat. Ikatan yang terbentuk antara Boss yakuza baru yang masih SMA (diperankan oleh masami nagasawa) dan para yakuza-cukup-baik-hati bener-bener bikin terharu! Gw nangis nonton ini. Hehe…	8
Sappuri	Belum selesai ,,, nggak bisa ngasih komen.	–
Scandal	Seperti yang udah gw ulas, ceritanya bikin ketagihan, dan nggak ketebak! Ending yang bagus, selain itu bikin kita penasaran sama episode selanjutnya. Persahabatan para ibu muda ini benar-benar bikin terharu!	8
Scrap Teacher	Cheesy sekaliii! Kalau Gokusen : Guru yang menyadarkan murid, Scrap teacher : murid yang menyadarkan guru yang nggak kompeten. Terlalu episodik dan bikin bosen.	3
Security Police	Drama polisi yang bikin deg-degan! Hehe! Keren sekali! Pokoknya rekomen banget deh! Oh iya, biar udah tua, Tsutsumi Shinichi ganteng juga ya. Hehe. Not to mention si Inoue Kaoru… hehe	8.5
Seigi no Mikata	Di tengah episode gw sempet mikir, ini goalnya apa? Kenapa si Makiko masih aja wicked dan licik kayak gini? Tapi setelah gw nonton episode terakhir gw jadi ngerti. And I couldn’t help but laughed. Kocak! Sangat kocak! Adek yang nggak bisa nolak permintaan kakaknya dan menderita banget, dan kakak yang nggak sekalipun mau ngalah, perpaduan yang kocak abis! A total hilarious..! Yamada Yuu knows how to look wicked without make herself detestable.	8.5
Shibatora	A Chibi Police. Koike Teppei adalah detektif muda yang ukuran badannya kecil. Cukup menarik, tapi setiap karakter kurang mengeksplore kemampuan akting setiap pemainnya, karena nggak ada karakter yang benar-benar menantang. Untuk kasus, cukup menarik untuk disimak, karena Jepang selalu punya seambrek kasus detektif yang sayang untuk dilewatin.	7.5
Taiyou no Umi no Kyoshitsu	Dorama sekolah yang menarik. Banyak membahas masalah-masalah remaja yang sering sekali muncul di benak kita.	7.9
Tantei Gakuen Q	Lagi-lagi masalah cast. Nggak ada masalah dengan kasusnya. Yang suka baca detektif Q nggak ada salahnya nonton.. J	6
Teppan Shoujo Akane	Nggak tahan nonton saking bosennnya dan berhenti di episode 3. Di sini gw kasih rating untuk memberi gambaran betapa gw kecewanya dengan acara ini.	2
Triangle	Suspense yang cukup menarik. Nggak terlalu banyak adegan action, tapi endingnya diluar dugaan sekali! Salah satu kendala Cuma alurnya yang agak lambat. Boleh juga dimasukin ke watching list.	6.5
Unfair	Mulai nge-fans sama Shinohara Ryoko karena nonton Unfair. Hehe….kereen! Suka sama semuanya. Walau jalan cerita agak mbelibet, nggak mengurangi kekerenannya.	8.5
Voice	Penggemar CSI boleh juga nonton ini. Cerita tentang mahasiswa dari fakultas kedokteran jurusan forensik cukup menarik untuk disimak. Jadi tahu bagaimana cara mereka mengotopsi. Watashitachi no Kyokaso	Dorama yang membahas penindasan (bullying) di Jepang. Setelah nonton ini, gw jadi tertarik untuk mencari info tentang ijime (bahasa jepangnya bullying), apakah separah yang seperti di dorama ini atau nggak. Ternyata memang kasus seperti ini banyak sekali terjadi di Jepang. Terlepas dari itu semua, ternyata maksud yang ingin disampaikan penulis lebih dari ekspektasi gw, dan drama ini jadi turn out really really really good! Nice ending, and I was tearjerker while watching this dorama. T-T Warning : Alur agak lambat. Hehe. Tapi worth it untuk ditonton	8.5
Yamada Taro Monogatari	Nggak terlalu lucu, nggak seperti di manganya. Tapi cukup menghibur. Dari drama ini gw jadi salah satu fan-nya sho sakurai. Huhuhu…. Agak-agak lebay adegannya, tapi gw cukup seneng sih ngeliat drama ini.	6
Yasuko to Kenji	Jenis komedinya hampir sama kayak Yamada Taro, lebay, Cuma gw seneng ngeliatnya… haha…. Cerita tentang adik yang risih karena diawasin terus sama kakaknya, karena mereka tinggal berdua aja. Saat sang adik jatuh cinta, kakaknya malah semakin ngebayang-bayangin sang adik. Di sisi lain dia menderita karena jahat, namun ada sisi angel dalam dirinya yang membuat dia kadang nggak tega untuk berbuat jahat. Miris banget ngeliat endingnya…. Agak ironis. Reccomended!	8

It’s a bit hard to guess which language I’m supposed to translate them into, but it usually solves itself in the end;)

Right, this weekend I should’ve been cleaning the house, doing homework and Practise 24 hours a day, but do I do that? No. Instead I chose to hang out with friends and today I’m just watching Tantei Gakuen Q.

It’s really, really annoying. I can’t find episodes 6, 7 and 8 with English subtitles. Yes, I do understand some Japanese, but not enough to understand everything they say. Damnit! I just pretend I’m in on the plot and prey I’ll soon be on episode 9 (which’s got subs).

I’m doing it lousy in school right now. Even though I’m putting more effort into it than usual. Odd, ne?

So, I’ve been offered to join “the other Jellyfish (Brennmaneten:)”, her father and some other people on a trip to Scotland, with the goal of a musical festival called T in the Park. Mum’s being very positive, and I hope I’m allowed to go, seeing as I’ve got the money I need.

Suddenly the musical stipend I got in January was more usefull than I’d every expect! We started talking about the trip in school, but it’s very expensive. It’s £150 just for the festival tickets. Then theres hotel and aeroplane, and….

So, even I’d be alowed to go, I wouldn’t have the money for it. I just sighed and asked loudly if someone wanted to give me 5000kr. Then I suddenly remembered that someone had already given me 10000kr. It all solved itself:)

First time writing for a review thing, yay. ^^

One of my newest obsessions, another thing to elude me from studying. I can watch up to four episodes a day. =.=

Personal Character Sypnosis:

The person I like the most in this series is Yamada Ryosuke who plays as ‘Ryuu’ in the series. He plays the cool genius who has a dark mysterious past (doesn’t he remind you of Uchiha Sasuke?), though he doesn’t talk and socialize much with his peers he still cares about his classmates in times of danger. I really like the way he dress, eg. a collar shirt and a tie, it soo cool ^~^  Though he’s not THAT good at acting and singing right now, I’m sure in a few years time he would be really, really popular.

Kyuu the one in the five i like second best, he’s more of the sweet optimistic sort than the silent ice cool type, he is a brilliant detective and can solve things logically. I personally think Kyuu is adorable but my friends thinks otherwise, the adjective he is usually described as in my little circle is ‘plain’, ‘ordinary’ and ‘not as cool as Ryuu’.

Megumi more commonly called as ‘Megu’ has a unique talent of photographic memory. This allows her to remember every detail in a crime scene that has been proves useful over numerous occasions. To me she is quite pretty, but at first when I saw her in the maid unifrom I thought otherwise… In the drama she helps out at a maid cafe hence making her an otaku idol.

Kazuma, the computer whiz, at first I didn’t care much about him. But now I think he’s pretty pro, especially when he is on his computer. I think it was in episode three; he had a crush on this girl who worked at a flower shop, a hilarious ending. I liked his clothes in that episode. XD

Kinta, the oldest, most tallest of the five. I never really liked him cause to me he’s too old and doesn’t fit it properly. Kinta is good at fighting and somewhat lacking in intelligence when it comes to solving mysteries… I don’t know why he wants to be a detective. =.=

Day Forty Two.

This is the dream I dreamed. I was walking on a long dark hallway. Everything was black and white. There were people with the same faces all around me. They had the face of a hideous man that I’ve never seen before and they were all walking backwards, seemingly oblivious of my presence. I walked past them and headed towards the light at the end of the hallway. There was a man there, waiting for me. He had the same face as everyone else yet he was smiling at me. He was holding a black and blue poster as if he wanted me to look at it. I looked at the poster and saw pictures of people singing on-stage, all with the same faces as everyone else. I shook my head and stepped away. Then something caught my attention. A staircase. The light was coming from above that staircase. I went closer to it only to realize that it’s only a painting on the wall. The surface was completely flat but it was painted in a way that gives an illusion that it was three dimensional. But it looked so real. I knew it was real. I closed my eyes and took one step forward. And when I opened them, I realized, I was walking up the staircase. When I reached the next landing, I saw a bright light coming from a slightly opened door. I walked towards the door and cautiously opened it. It was a public restroom. There were white tiled walls and floors, white flourescent lights, white cubicles and sinks, and a large bathroom mirror. It looked completely ordinary except from the fact that every inch of it was covered with books of all shapes, colors and sizes. There were books everywhere! Scattered all over the floor, stacked above the sinks, hanging on the ceiling. I walked inside, careful not to step on any of the books. I headed towards the last cubicle as if I was being drawn to it. I slowly opened the door and peered inside. There was a mountain of books stacked on top of the toilet and at the tip of that mountain was a tiny window, as big as cat’s door. I climbed up the mountain of books until I reached the window. It was too small for me to fit in, yet I tried to squeeze into it. And I managed to get in! Once I reached the other side, my eyes were blinded for a second by an extremely bright light and I had to close them for a while. When I opened my eyes again, I was lying face down in the middle of a forest. It was autumn and the ground was covered by orange and golden brown leaves. The trees were also of the same colors. The sun was shining brightly and everything was so bright they looked like they were ablaze. Suddenly, a beautiful woman wearing a purple velvet 18th century dress, a matching purple hat with white feathers and holding a purple parasol, came out from behind one of the trees. She smiled at me and tipped her head to one side as if she was asking me to follow her. As I was about to stand up, the alarm clock sounded and I woke up.

Pretty strange huh? But that’s how dreams are. Strange, incomprehensible and confusing. This dream is the only one I could remember in detail. It was a dream I had when I was in highschool. I dreamt about it over and over for days, always waking up at the exact same moment when I’m about to follow the purple lady. And then, one day, I suddenly stopped dreaming about it but I was never able to forget it.

You must be wondering why I’m suddenly talking about dreams. It actually has something to do with my latest obsession: “Yume Juya” (10 Nights of Dreams). This is an anthology that was released last year by Nikkatsu. It features ten short films based on the book of the same name by famed 19th/20th century author Soseki Natsume. The film gathers together some of the best Japanese directors around, including several names who will be familiar to J-horror fans. The cast also includes some of Japan’s biggest names like Toda Erika, Kashii Yu, Koizumi Kyoko, Sadao Abe, Yamamoto Koji, Honjo Manami and our very own “L”, Matsuyama Ken’ichi. This movie was shown in the Vancouver Film Festival last year and will be released by Cinema Epoch in the USA on October 2008.

This films reminds me a lot of the animated movie “Paprika” and the graphic novel: “Sandman: The Dream Hunters” by the macabre master Neil Gaiman and the genius behind the Final Fantasy characters, AmanoYoshitaka . Neil Gaiman’s short stories are the type of stories that doesn’t seem to make sense yet they’re incredibly clever. They bring a chill down your spine and leaves you with a funny feeling in the pit of your stomach. I don’t know how to explain it but his stories always leaves me in some sort of dream-like trance. They’re unnerving, insane and sometimes seriously disturbing but they always manage to make you feel emotions you’ve never felt before.

Natsume’s Soseki’s “10 Nights of Dreams” made me feel the exact same way. When I watched it, I didn’t feel like I was watching a movie, I felt like I was entering someone else’s dreams and nightmares. Everything just seemed so surreal and strange. Each short story’s very beautiful in an eerie and eccentric way. Some will leave you with your mouth wide-open and with one giant question mark floating above your head. Others would make you wonder if you should laugh or cry or just sit in a state of disbelief. I asked my sister to watch this while we were chatting online. And after she did, she was totally speechless. She didn’t know how to react. She didn’t know if it was brilliant or stupid, if it was scary or silly, if she should applaud or run away. It was just plain weird and leaves you with mixed emotions. And that’s why, I think this is a really brilliant movie and novel (I’ve read the novel after watching the movie) Watching this was just like dreaming. Nothing makes sense, everything’s bizarre yet somehow you understand it and you feel strange things because of it. It has a certain quality that is rarely seen in movies and I absolutely love it!

10 Nights of Dreams is a compilation of 10 short stories or “Dreams” as the author calls them. Each dream has a different theme and had titles like: Love, Anguish, Son, Nostalgia, Fear, Passion, Loneliness, Imagine, Family Love and Egoism. It’s a madhouse of unique creativity and talent of very different directors and actors from various genres. It has everything from horror to action, drama to comedy and any other genre that comes in between.

My favorites are the 7th and 10th dreams. The 7th Dream, “Loneliness”, was directed by Kawahara Masaaki and the brilliant Amano Yoshitaka (Yes, the same Amano Yoshitaka I talked about earlier). It’s the only animated film in this anthology and it is visually stunning. The animation is superb, you could clearly see its similarities with the Final Fantasy series. I’m a Final Fantasy geek so it’s no surprise that I fell in love with the surreal and very dream-like world in this short film. The lead male character even reminded me of Squall’s emo-ness and the ship here greatly resembles the one in Final Fantasy IX. There isn’t much of a story in this vignette though, but people like me could easily relate to the main character. The main character, who strangely resembles “D” of “Vampire Hunter D” (Another Amano Yoshitaka creation), was a lonely traveler who questions his own existence. He asks the same questions that I often asked in this blog: “Can one be truly called “alive” when you’re living such a mediocre existence?” “Why is it that even though you’re surrounded by people, no one seemed to really care?”. The title suited this dream very well. Even though the colors were vibrant and there were wonderful and magical creatures floating all around the screen, you could feel the sorrow of the dark and gloomy traveler. The only thing I didn’t like about this vignette is the terrible English voice dubbing. The voice actors did a horrible job and was not able to convey the proper emotions with their voices. It’s like they were simply reading the lines. It was so bad it even made me cringe. I wish they just dubbed it in Japanese or they should have at least cast American voice actors like in the Advent Children movie.

Anyway, my most favorite short film in this anthology, and probably everyone’s favorite is the 10th dream, “Egoism”. It was directed by Yamaguchi Yudai of Battlefield Baseball and Meatball Machine and stars non-other than my beloved “L”, Matsuyama Ken’ichi and Honjo Manami. Ken’ichi once again proves how fearless he is when it comes to portraying eccentric characters. This is without a doubt, his weirdest role yet. In this short film, Ken’ichi plays the role of Shotaro, an extremely handsome young man who gets the attention of all the women. But unknown to them, he is also a serial killer who mercilessly kill people he considers to be ugly. One day, a beautiful woman came to town and Shotaro immediately fell in love with her. But the woman have secrets of her own and she’s about to teach Shotaro a lesson he will never forget.

This short film was both stupid and clever at the same time! It would drive you insane! It’s funny, disgusting and makes no sense at all but you will end up having a huge smile on your face after watching it. This is by far, the most entertaining short film in this whole anthology and it made me want to watch it over and over again. It made my brain turn to goo with its silly antics and out-of-this-world ideas. The Willy Wonka parody was seriously bizarre! And the fact that Ken’ichi looked adorable in this film is also a huge plus!

But seriously, I could talk all day about how amazing this film is. It’s the only live-action film that made me feel the same way I felt when I watched “Spirited Away” and “Paprika”. It has the weirdness of Mirrormask without having the need to use over-the-top special effects. It’s brilliant and cheesy and just plain confusing! I love it! I’m a weird girl after all!

On a totally unrelated note, I finally finished Tantei Gakuen Q the other day. It is by far one my favorite dramas now! It’s completely flawed and predictable as a mystery drama but I absolutely love its story and characters. The ending was so sweet and left a huge smile on my face. I think that’s why I loved this drama so much. It just has that innocence and youthfulness that I rarely see in dramas. It’s such a great and completely idealistic story about friendship and I just couldn’t help but smile while watching the characters interact with each other. I’m surely gonna miss it!

After watching the drama, I watched the “Tantei Gakuen Q Special”. It’s a prequel to the drama so it was aired one year before the series. Everyone looked so young and tiny in this special. They really looked like little kids! I couldn’t believe how much they’ve grown in one year. The special took place before they’ve entered the Detective Academy. Kyuu, Ryuu, Megu, Kazuma and Kinta were living separate and ordinary lives and by some twist of fate, they met during the entrance examination for the Morihiko Dan Detective Academy. There were tons of other people (mostly adults) who took the entrance exams but little by little, they all got eliminated until there were only six people left. Then one of those 6 people got murdered and it’s up to our five heroes to solve the mystery. This was their first murder case as a team and we get to see how their friendship really started. It was really fun seeing them work together for the first time. But it was kinda weird since they all looked so different. Kyuu was so skinny and his voice was so much smaller. Ryuu was too cute and tiny unlike the cool and mysterious Ryuu in the drama. He looked so so young in this Special especially because of his childish voice. Megu still looked a little boyish and was still just a little girl in this Special unlike the pretty young lady she has become in the drama. Kazuma was played by a completely different actor so I was a little annoyed by his character here. Kinta was the only one who didn’t change much except from his outfit. Speaking of outfits, it’s weird not seeing them in their signature outfits. Oh and, Megu and Ryuu’s hair looked so strange. Were they wearing wigs in this Special? Anyway, it was a really fun and feel-good Special and the mystery to be solved here was so much more unpredictable than the ones in the series. I wasn’t able to figure-out the mystery behind the giant concrete block and I was so glad! It was the first time in Tantei Gakuen Q that the mystery was difficult to solve! Although it was still quite easy to figure out who the culprit was. But all in all, it was a great Special and I was grinning till the end!

Since I finished Tantei Gakuen Q, I’m moving on to the next mystery drama on my list: “Galileo”. I was actually torn between Galileo and Kuitan (both are detective dramas) but Galileo’s ratings were higher so I picked it over Kuitan. Along with Galileo, I’ve also decided to watch Nagasawa Masami’s yakuza drama, “Sailor Fuku to Kikanjuu” (Sailor Suit and Machine Gun). It’s about a highschool girl who suddenly finds herself as the boss of a Yakuza family. It looks really interesting and it only has 7 episodes so I should be able to finish it in no time.

Day Forty Two.

Just when I thought I have all the time in the world, I started to get busy again. New projects started pouring in and what’s worse my internet’s back to being slower than a turtle. By the way, to everyone who commented or even just read “Saeko’s Story”, thank you! Your encouragement really meant a lot to me. I was really really scared to post it but now I’m glad I did. Unfortunately, it’ll be a while before I could post the continuation of the story. Things are pretty hectic now. The only time I have to watch dramas and anime are during mealtimes.

But of course, I couldn’t keep away from this blog. I just have to express my opinions on the dramas I’m watching because, as weird as this sounds, I would feel bad if I don’t. So I’ll try to make this as quick as possible. Shibatora’s still just an ordinary drama for me but I did notice some similarities with Gokusen. Shibata Taketora helps juvenile delinquents and he believes in them when no one else would. Sounds very Yankumi-esque to me. But it’s still fun to watch and Fujiki Naohito keeps me glued to the screen. I placed Maou on-hold for now since I don’t have much time to watch dramas from streaming sites since they take too long to load. As for Code Blue, I’m loving it more and more each week! Episode 4 was really touching and tackles lots of important issues about family and friendship. It’s starting to be like an adult version of Tantei Gakuen Q because just like in TGQ, the interns in Code Blue started as rivals but are slowly becoming really good friends. But of course, Code Blue is more mature and intense. Plus I also learned a lot of medical stuff from it. It even made me realize what my past illness could possibly be.

You see, when I was in college, I had this terrible illness where I suddenly collapses without warning. It happened all the time and I often missed classes because of it. I went through all sorts of tests to find out what was wrong with me but the doctors couldn’t figure it out. Until recently, it remained a mystery to me but after watching episode 4 of Code Blue, I think I finally know what it was. You see, in the drama, they have a patient there who vomits blood, faints and have all sorts of symptoms but no matter how many tests he went through, the doctors couldn’t figure out what was wrong with him. They only know that he’s a lonely man who lost his wife, child and job all at the same time. Since then, he’s been extremely sick all the time. In the end, the doctors found out that he has Munchausen Syndrome. There’s nothing wrong with his body but his loneliness triggered this illness. People with Munchausen Syndrome, wants to be cared for by others so they inject themselves with all sorts of drugs that could make them look sick, they even pretend to vomit blood by swallowing fake blood. They love being in the hospital because it’s the only place where complete strangers would care for them like family.

Ever since I was young, I loved being inside the hospital. Most of the kids my age hated getting sick and were scared of doctors, but I was different. I felt at home at the hospital and eventhough getting stuck by needles was painful, I loved it there. I even wished to stay longer when I was confined for a week. Then, when I was in college, I’ve made friends with really popular and pretty girls. I pretended to be just like them. But I still wanted to do my best academically. (I’m still a nerd deep inside) So whenever we had group projects, I did everything by myself because I knew it wouldn’t be that good if I let them do it. Because of that, my group always had the best projects and presentations. Teachers, classmates, everyone praised us. But my friends never thanked me. I was so stressed-out trying to make everything perfect for all of us but they never appreciated it. I felt so alone and uncared for. And that’s when I started fainting all the time. During that time, I couldn’t figure out what was wrong with me. But looking back, I think I made myself faint without realizing it. The first time I collapsed, I was late coming to school because I stayed-up all night to finish one of our group projects. I could have finished it earlier but I wanted it to be perfect. When I got to school, I was tired, sleepy and I was even soaking wet because it was raining. But instead of worrying about me, my friends asked me where the project was so that they could submit it. I felt so bad at that time. I felt like I was surrounded by faceless people who couldn’t care less about my existence. Then I thought, I wanted everything and everyone to just go away….and they did. Everything turned black and when I woke up I was at the infirmary. The first thing I saw was the worried faces of my friends. They said I collapsed and my entire body was so cold and stiff. They didn’t know what to do, they were so worried. I know it’s wrong to make people worry about you but I loved the feeling. It was the first time people cared about me so much. So whenever I felt like my friends were neglecting me, I just thought of wanting everyone to go away and I would faint. It’s like, I discovered an on/off switch inside my body. I could shut it down subconsciously whenever I wanted to.

Of course, back then, I didn’t believe I was capable of doing that. I’ve never heard of anyone being able to shut down her body whenever she wants to. I thought it was just pure coincidence. But what if it wasn’t? My Psychology professor once talked to me after she asked the class to take an IQ test. She talked to me to warn me. She said that the result of my test was exceptionally high and although that is a good thing, it also have some negative implications. The mind is a very powerful thing and it could make your body do things that it doesn’t normally do. I didn’t know what she meant at the time but maybe, somehow, she knew what was happening to me.

After watching Code Blue, I saw my similarity to the patient with Munchausen Syndrome, but instead of injecting myself with drugs, my mind ordered my body to shut down so everyone would think I’m sick. Without realizing it, my negative emotions and feelings of neglect caused it to happen. I know this is weird, but I couldn’t think of any other explanation. I’ve been to numerous doctors and they couldn’t explain it either. But at least, now that I have an idea of what my illness could have been, I could prevent it from happening again. And that is all thanks to “Code Blue”! Who would have thought medical dramas could be so educational!

As for Tantei Gakuen Q, I have just finished episode 9. I’m watching it on a streaming site so I’m taking forever to finish it. The drama is still very disappointing in terms of the mysteries to be solved. They’re still way too easy. You would be able to guess the culprit and how the crimes were executed at the very beginning. I really miss the challenging cases in Kindaichi. But eventhough the cases are very predictable, I’m absolutely loving this drama! The story is really engaging and the characters are all simply adorable. Even the villains are amazingly creepy. Cerberus is like a Japanese version of The Joker and Miss Yurie is like the devil pretending to be an angel. They all did a wonderful job portraying their characters especially Yamada Ryosuke as Ryuu. I always thought Yamada is just a cute kid with a girlish face. But in this drama, he’s actually really cool. And his character was surprisingly manly even though he has feminine features. I even have a fan-girl crush on him now because of his performance here. The complicated relationship between Ryuu and Kyuu is also really fun to watch. They’re bestfriends, rivals and arch-enemies all at the same time! And although this a story about friendship, I love the tiny hints of a love triangle between Kyuu, Ryuu and Megu. That one scene where Megu was feeding Ryuu was hilarious! Kyuu looked like the whole world just came crashing down on him when he saw them! And Ryuu was going all defensive too! It was so funny! Waaaah! I really want to finish this! Ryuu is about to go over to the dark side! I wanna see a cute kid like him become a villain! That would be really interesting!

By the way, here’s an upcoming dramas update. A live-action version of the manga “Cat Street” is on its way. Cat Street is a shoujo manga created by Kamio Yoko, the genius behind the super popular manga Hana Yori Dango. I don’t know anything about the cast yet but if it has the same feel as HYD then it’s definitely worth watching! Another drama to look-out for this Fall, is the suspense drama, “Ryusei no Kizuna” starring Ninomiya Kazunari of Arashi, Nishikido Ryo of NEWS and Toda Erika. With a stellar cast like that we could expect nothing less! Plus the story’s pretty interesting. It’s about three orphans, whose parents were murdered long ago, and they vowed to avenge them someday.

As for the anime department, I’m still watching the same stuff. The last episode of D.Gray-man: “Homecoming” was seriously funny! It’s quite refreshing since the past episodes were all action-packed. It’s nice to have a light-hearted comedic episode every now and then. Oh and it was really cute when the serious General Tiedoll and even the grumpy old Panda (Bookman) started crying when they saw everyone’s alive. Everyone’s just really silly in this episode but the plot was also beginning to thicken. This anime is really getting more and more interesting! Bleach, on the other hand, is starting to annoy me. It’s great that Orihime is practically out of the picture and the ending video is about Rukia and Ichigo. But the plot of the filler is really stupid and some scenes contradict the original storyline. I thought the Bount arc was horrible but this arc is starting to be even worse.

By the way, I watched the new Mummy movie this afternoon. I don’t really feel like talking about it since I didn’t find anything special about it. It’s just one of those soul-less, big-budgeted family movies. But what I don’t get why they cast Luke Ford to be Brendan Fraser’s son. They look like they’re the same age! It’s really weird when he calls Brendan “dad”. But I’m glad I watched this movie since I saw the trailer of “The Watchmen” because of it! Oh my God! The trailer was freakin’ awesome! I was in total geek-mode when I saw it! It’s like one of the best graphic novels ever and now it’s a movie! I want to watch it so bad! Why does it have to be on 2009?!!! Why?!!!

Oh well, that’s it for now. By the way, I want to leave you guys with this line from one of my favorite episodes of Tantei Gakuen Q:

“Our world that we’re supposed to live in, isn’t inside the internet. In the real world there is suffering, things don’t always go our way, there’s a lot of those but if you have a dream of becoming something, you shouldn’t run away from that.You should accept yourself the way you are and face reality.”

All I can say when I heard that line was: “Ouch! That hits the bullseye!”

Finally my internet connection is really fast again! Yay! Dramas and anime galore for me! But the days seems to be getting slower and slower. I don’t know, probably because I have nothing to do. I don’t have any projects for now and I’m running out of ways to occupy my time. My sleeping pattern’s still not back to normal but I can now occasionally sleep at night. “Occasionally” means when I’m extremely tired and haven’t slept for two days. Anyway, since I have an enormous amount of free time I’ve decided to turn the manga I made into a novel and post it here. I’m still pretty scared because even though my teachers when I was in middleschool, highschool and college, praised my works, I’m still afraid to show them to other people. But I guess it won’t hurt to try. So I posted my simplest work here.

By the way, speaking or literary works, I bought a new book yesterday. It’s from my favorite author, the rock-star of literature, Neil Gaiman. It’s entitled “M is for Magic” and it’s actually a children’s book. But knowing Neil Gaiman, I’m sure it’s still going to be entertaining even for adults. I’ve only read the first few pages which are about the investigations regarding the death of Humpty Dumpty. It’s hilarious! I can’t wait to read to the rest!

As for the anime department, I’m still watching the same stuff: Bleach and D.Gray-man. I’m not so crazy about the filler arc of Bleach but it’s better than having to watch Orihime as the center of the story! D.Gray-man, on the other hand, is slowly becoming one of my favorite anime ever! I’m now loving it as much as I loved Full Metal Alchemist and to think, I didn’t like D.Gray-man when I first saw it! The story is just getting better and better! And all of the characters have grown so much since the series started. Although, I have to say, Allen pissed me off at the end of episode 92! I was like “Stop whining and Just play the f****** piano!”. You’ll know what I mean when you watch it! But seriously, this anime rocks! Oh and the end of episode 93 was freakin’ hilarious! Everyone’s really funny! Cross also proved that he really is a certified Casanova! He even tried to hit-on a 16 year-old! By the way, the song Allen played in the piano was so hauntingly beautiful! I was in some sort of trance while listening to it. The melody was kinda similar to that of “Melodies of Life” from Final Fantasy IX or maybe “Suketi Dane” from Final Fantasy X or a combination of both!

Anyway, the drama department also rocks! I finally finished Trick 3 and the ending is sooo sweeet and hilarious! The mysteries to be solved in this drama are challenging but not as clever as in the other mystery dramas. But that’s not the reason why people watch Trick. They watch it because of the unbelievable silliness of the two lead characters! Ueda and Naoko are just two of the silliest characters in the history of Japanese drama! They’re just so lovable and adorable! And since they’re portrayed by two of Japan’s finest drama actors, Abe Hiroshi and Nakama Yukie, you could expect only the best performances. The drama as a whole is not one of my favorites but I still enjoyed it a LOT! And the ending made it so worth watching! It made me giggle like a schoolgirl!

The new dramas also kick-ass! Shibatora is quite fun but I’m still not thoroughly impressed. I’m still waiting for that extra something that would make me go crazy over it. Code Blue, on the other hand, is so unexpectedly good! I never thought I’d love a medical drama! The first episode was so-so for me but the second was intense! I loved everything about it! And it showed a different side of each of the trainees. I was wrong with what I said on my previous post, the Code Blue trainees are nothing like their American counterparts. They are actually more complex and more “bitchy” (Sorry, couldn’t think of a better term) None of them is perfect and none of them is very likable either. Hiyama Mihoko (Toda Erika), aside from being a pretty face, have nothing in common with Izzie. Yes, she cares about the patients but she’s not sweet and gentle at all. She’s actually quite the little bitch! She’s very competitive and is not afraid to say hurtful things towards others. Fuikawa Kazuo, the funny guy of the group is not as lovable as I thought he would be. He’s actually quite an irritating character who talks big all the time and loves to bad-mouth others behind their backs. Aizawa Kousaku (Yamapi) who seemed cold and uncaring in the first episode is actually not that heartless. And eventhough he’s competitive, he knows when to step away and give others the spotlight. Shiraishi Megumi (Aragaki Yu) is actually the only character that’s really “nice” but a little too nice if you ask me. “Too good to be true” kind of “nice”. She says pretty words all the time and doesn’t seem how to know how to get mad. She’s always playing safe which makes her character pretty boring. But I don’t blame her. I’m actually like that around people I don’t know much about. She did snap once but she’s too angelic compared to her fellow trainees.

Anyway, I can’t wait to see how much each of the characters will grow at the end of this drama. This is exactly the type of dramas that I love! The characters are seriously flawed in the beginning, giving them the chance to improve and grow throughout the series. In each episode they learn something new from their mentors and patients that could help them change their negative qualities. They started as rivals but are slowly evolving into friends. I really like how their journey is about character growth and friendship instead of twisted love affairs and various sexual encounters like in the series Grey’s Anatomy. Don’t get me wrong, GA was a great show. It had a lot of intense and touching episodes and I cried a lot while watching it. But during the latter part it started revolving around romantic relationships and sex lives. Everyone’s sleeping with everyone, all they talked about are McDreamy and McSteamy, and the characters stopped growing and sort of got stuck.

Another thing I loved about Code Blue is the on-the-spot operations! The flight doctors are like superheroes in this drama! Like when a man falls off a building, the doctors would fly to the spot, greeted by a crowd of curious spectators, then they would go to the injured man and save the day right there and then. Then they would fly back to the hospital while the crowd look up to them in awe! I even had an image in my head of the people saying “Look in the sky! It’s a bird! It’s a plane! No! It’s Dr. Heli!”. I know, I know, silly imagination! But they really look so cool when they come out of that helicopter! Oh and in one scene, I had to cover my mouth to stop myself from yelling “Oh Shit!” when the number of patients increased on the spot. It’s unbelievable, and you never know when will one of them suddenly screw-up and freeze! You could even feel their nervousness whenever they’re handling the lives of patients. Plus each episode teaches a valuable life lesson. So the audience also get to learn something new. I just love this drama! But I do wish they’d be more consistent. The second episode was really intense, touching and amazing but the third wasn’t even half as good as the second one. So was the first. I just hope they’d keep the same level of intensity in every episode.

Anyway, since I’ve finished Trick 3, I’ve started watching another detective drama: “Tantei Gakuen Q” (Detective Academy Q). Why I haven’t seen this drama before, is a mystery to me. It was quite popular and the actors here are all well-known. Anyway, the drama is about the 5 young students of Tantei Gakuen Q. They’re main goal is to be the sole successor of the famous detective, Morihiko Dan (Jinnai Takanori). So to prove themselves worthy of that position, they have to work together in solving various crimes to showcase their skills. Honestly, the story’s quite predictable for a detective drama. The plot is not very clever and the cases are very easy to solve. I hate it when the audience could solve the case before the detectives in the drama could. And the characters in TGQ could be really slow sometimes in figuring out things which I find really irritating. They also have a habit of stating the obvious and assuming that the people watching are idiots. But even with all the negative things I’ve said I still enjoyed watching this drama! It’s not that intelligent for a detective drama but it sure was fun! The five main characters also have very different and distinct personalities and it’s great to see how they interact with each other. They all have their own strengths, weaknesses and special skills. And it’s really hard not to like them! First we have the main character Kyuu, played by Kamiki Ryunosuke. He’s smart and have incredible reasoning skills comparable to Young Kindaichi but he’s also too nice and naive. Even though the students of TGQ are rivals Kyuu’s still very friendly towards everyone and never tries to get ahead of them. He also believes in the goodness of people which makes him seem quite naive sometimes. Then there’s the extremely adorable Ryuu, played by Yamada Ryosuke. (This guy is so damn cute, I want turn him into a plushie and just squeeze his cheeks all day!) Ryuu is the cool, silent and mysterious guy in the group. In short he’s the type of character that always end up being my favorite in dramas and anime. Anyway, the cooler part is that he’s actually the heir of their arch nemesis. So he’s destined to be the leader of the bad guys! But he’s wayy too cute to be a bad guy. He’s too cute to even be a guy! Also in the group is the computer whiz, Kazuma, played by Wakaba Katsumi. Hmmm, why does there always have to a be a genius hacker in shows like this? (He’s like the male version of Izumu of Akihabara@DEEP). Anyway, he’s a rich genius like “L” who investigates crimes while sitting in front of his computer. He’s often seen cruising around town in his limo. Shida Mirai plays Megu, the only girl in the group. Her reasoning skills are not as good as Kyuu and Ryuu but she have a certain skill that is vital in solving cases: her photographic memory. She can remember everything and she notices the most minute details in the crime scenes. I wish I have that skill! Then the last one is Kinta, the only adult member of Tantei Gakuen Q! And he’s played by the really cool, Kaname Jun! He provides the drool-factor for girls my age since all the other lead actors are just kids. Anyway, Kinta’s personality and style is almost exactly like that of Fujiki Naohito’s character in Shibatora. He’s rash, hot-headed and extremely strong. If Kyuu and Ryuu are the brains of the group, the Kinta is the brawns. He’s really strong and skilled in fighting. One would think that he’s not fit to be a detective. But he’s not that useless. He has lots of connections that makes it easier for him to investigate cases even on his own. He’s also able to easily gain the trusts of the victims, enabling him to get vital information from them that the other couldn’t get.

The characters actually reminds me of those in the drama “Akihabara@DEEP” and the plot is somehow like the plot of “Yukan club” although the cases in Tantei Gakuen Q are more serious and brutal. They also solve gruesome pre-meditated murder cases like in Kindaichi, but the cases here are simpler and easier to solve. Anyway, I’m really enjoying this drama as far as comedy and silliness are concerned. I’m not expecting much from it, but I’d still keep watching since it’s hard to keep away from its lovable characters. This drama also lead me to a new addition to my Detective dramas list. I researched on Kaname Jun again after I saw this and I found out that he has a new detective drama that just finished airing last June. It’s called: “Kimi Hannin Janai yo ne?” (Are you a criminal?) It looks pretty interesting and Kaname Jun plays a detective again! So I’ll definitely watch it!

By the way, I watched a crappy movie the other day and I’m not proud of it. As I’ve said, I have to watch a movie every time I go out of the house. I just have to! And when I went out the other to buy food, there was nothing good to watch. The only movies that I haven’t seen were: “Meet Dave” and “Prom Night”. Waaah! I was so frustrated. But I had to watch something so I had to choose the lesser of the two evils. Let’s see, which is worse, a pointless, unfunny Eddie Murphy flop or a mindless, clichéd slasher flick? Well, “Meet Dave” seemed more bearable. I’m sure I made the right choice but it was still pretty horrible! The plot was really silly and pointless. It’s like they mixed scenes from Men in Black, the Terminator, Honey I Shrunk the Kids and a whole bunch of other movies. It was really terrible! I was wobbling on my way out of the theater and not even my large cup of Coco Loco Chiller could help me recover! But at least it’s not as bad as “Epic Movie”. That movie was so bad I almost didn’t make it out of the theater alive!

Anyway, since I have plenty of time in my hands now, I played SIMS 2 again! This time I made a simulated “L” world. My “L” crazy fan-girl illness still hasn’t worn-off, so I made an entire Wammy headquarters with rooms that I modeled after the rooms shown in “L:Change the World”, Death Note and in some of L’s pictures in his photobook. I’m really getting freakishly fan-girlish again! I also made a simulated “L”. Well, there are already plenty of simulated L in the internet but I noticed that they modeled them after the “L” in the anime. Well, I modeled mine after Matsuyama Ken’ichi’s “L”. It’s still not perfect but I’m pretty proud of it.

Oh and speaking of being proud, I cannot believe that the music video I made for the drama Zettai Kareshi now has a total 44,770 hits on youtube! And it has lots of unbelievable comments too! Some even said it’s one of the best Zettai Kareshi music videos they’ve ever seen. I really could not believe it! It just feels so good to have your work appreciated or even just viewed by others. Even my sister who never cared about anything I did, was bragging to her friends that I’m the one who made that video. Making music videos for dramas I’ve seen is one of my hobbies. It’s my way of preserving the scenes that I loved in the drama, but I never posted them on youtube before. So I can’t believe that many people liked what I made! I’ve always thought no one would watch my videos! I really can’t believe it!
