Pirms pāris dienām vācu tanz-metal ģēniji Rammstein laida tautiņās savu jauno veikumu – albumu “LIEBE IST FüR ALLE DA”.

Šī ziņa protams priecēja, taču vakardiena nāca ar vēl grandiozāku jaunumu! FBI mājaslapā melns uz balta (patiesībā balts uz pelēcīgi melna) apstiprināts, ka 2010.gada 4.martā Rammstein atkal koncertēs Rīgā.

Šajā sakarā vēl joprojām svaigā atmiņā man palicis viņu pirmais koncerts Latvijā, Skonto hallē. Toreiz tas bija Rammstein vislabākajās tradīcijās ieturēts šovs ar uguņošanu, piedauzībām uz skatuves un nepārprotami skarbu mūzikālo vēstījumu. Šoreiz ceru sagaidīt ko līdzīgu. Protams man gribētos veldzēties atmiņās un dzirdēt pārsvarā tieši viņu pirmos singlus no imao nepārspējamajiem Herzeleid vai Sehnsucht albumiem, taču prieks, ka viņi atkal dodas pie mums pārspēs visu ko viņi būs spējīgi “atrādīt” krīzes nogurdinātajai latvju tautai.

German tanz-metal (dance metal) group, Rammstein unveiled this work of art 2 days ago. It’s a pretty awesome video, but not sure about the singer. I would much rather have Perry Farrell as the front man!

Rockerii de la Rammstein revin pe piaţa muzicală cu un material nou: “Liebe Ist Für Alle Da”. Albumul urmează să fie lansat în luna octombrie.

Până atunci, însă, Rammstein a lansat un nou single. Melodia numită “Pussy” a fost lansată pe un site porno din cauza imaginilor mult prea fierbinţi ale videoclipului.

Videoclipul este regizat de Jonas Ĺkerlund, care a colaborat cu artişti precum Madonna, Metallica şi Lady Gaga. Albumul semnat de Rammstein va cuprinde următoarele melodii: Rammlied, Ich Tu Dir Weh, Waidmanns Heil, Haifisch, Frühling in Paris, Wiener Blut, Pussy, Liebe ist Für Alle Da, Mehr şi Roter Sand.

Rammstein – Rosenrot

Z czym kojarzą nam się Niemcy? Hmmm… Albo może lepiej pominę tę kwestię, mając na uwadze uprzedzenia niektórych osób, i przejdę od razu do właściwej części tekstu.;)

“Rosenrot” to piąta płyta tych sympatycznych chłopaków zza naszej zachodniej granicy. A jaką oni tak właściwie grają muzykę? Cóż, sami określają ją mianem tanz metalu, co do pewnego momentu  ich kariery było trafnym i wyczerpującym terminem. No właśnie – do pewnego momentu.

Ciężko którykolwiek z jedenastu utworów, które znalazły się na tej płycie w ogóle nazwać metalowym, gdyż mamy tu ledwie kilka riffów, którym wprawdzie nie sposób odmówić przytłaczającego ciężaru (vide kompozycje “Spring” czy “Hilf mir”), ale jak mówią “jedna jaskółka wiosny nie czyni”.:) Potańczyć na jakiejś dyskotece też przy tych dźwiękach raczej nie sposób, a w przypadku ich debiutanckiej płyty, “Herzeleid” (1995), co odważniejsi mogli się o to pokusić.

W skrócie: jaki wniosek można wyciągnąć z powyższego akapitu? Taki, że Rammstein przestał być Rammsteinem. Ten zespół nie gra już tego, co na początku kariery, przez co stał się zwyczajny, żeby nie powiedzieć nijaki, a jedyna rzecz, która wyróżnia się spośród setek innych kapel, to teksty śpiewane (głównie) w języku niemieckim. Nie bez przyczyny napisałem “głównie”, bowiem w kiepskiej i tandetnej balladzie “Stirb nicht von mir / Don’t die before I do” pojawiają się wokale w języku angielskim (autorstwa niejakiej Sharleen Spiteri z zespołu Texas), natomiast w utworze “Te quiero puta!”, który zapewne miał być pastiszowy i zabawny, a jest wręcz żałosny i nie nadaje się do słuchania, niejaka Carmen Zapata “śpiewa” po hiszpańsku.

Dobra, jak na razie tylko się czepiam, więc pora odnaleźć jakieś pozytywne strony tego wydawnictwa. Hmm… Muszę przyznać, że okładka jest naprawdę ładna.:D Jeśli zaś chodzi o muzykę, to wspomniałem już o kilku równie ciężkich co dobrych riffach. Ponadto singlowy utwór ‘Mann gegen Mann” jest naprawdę dobry. Robi tym bardziej pozytywne wrażenie, gdy porówna się go do dwóch pozostałych utworów, do których powstały teledyski, czyli “Benzin” i “Rosenrot” – obie kompozycje są nijakie i bez wyrazu. Jednym słowem nędzne.

Muszę przyznać, że jedna piosenka jest naprawdę znakomita. Nie wiem, może taka recepcja wynika z marności niemal wszystkich pozostałych kompozycji, ale to chyba wiele nie umniejsza przedostatniemu na płycie “Feuer und Wasser” – kawałkowi znakomitemu, z refrenem, którego nie sposób zapomnieć, ze znakomitą zmianą klimatu w środkowej części i świetnym riffowaniem w drugiej połowie utworu. Ba! Nawet solówkę można w nim usłyszeć, co w przypadku tego zespołu jest  raczej rzadkością. Ech, gdyby choć część kompozycji stała na podobnym poziomie jak ta, to wtedy nie przeszkadzałby mi tak bardzo fakt, iż to juz nie ten sam Rammstein…

Czas na podsumowanie. Nie da się ukryć, że nie porwała mnie ta płyta, mimo mojej sympatii, jaką darzę ten zespół. Nie wynika to chyba do końca z faktu, że nie gra on już w ten sam sposób, co na początku swej kariery, ponieważ ich poprzednia płyta, “Reise Reise” (2004), choć utrzymana w podobnym klimacie i stylistyce co “Rosenrot”, to dzięki ciekawszym, a przede wszystkim równiejszym kompozycjom była krążkiem sporo lepszym od recenzowanego. Widać wprawdzie jakiś cień dawnej świetności zespołu w postaci jednego znakomitego utworu (“Feuer und Wasser”) i kilku dobrych (“Mann gegen Mann”, “Spring”, “Hilf mir”), ale praktycznie połowa albumu nie nadaje się do słuchania. Trudno jest mi więc w miarę sprawiedliwie ocenić ten krążek. Po głowie chodziła mi nota w granicach 4, moż 4+, ale za w jakimś stopniu urozmaicające całość orkiestracje i partie chóru, naprawdę znakomitą okładkę i świetne brzmienie będę nieco łagodniejszy. Tak więc:

In 1997, Rammstein released “Du Hast” from the album “Sehnsucht”. And it was the moment that most people became Rammstein fans discovering the militant sound of German Tanz-metal. Being one of Rammstein’s smash hits, “Du Hast” was included in the soundtrack of “The Matrix” and enjoyed heavy airplay on MTV.

But, it was much more than that.

Although Rammstein’s lyrics are mainly written in German, the group has achieved massive success. Despite several dismissive, yet expected critics, in the US, related to the group’s distinctive Teutonic sound, Rammstein sing in German being pompously chauvinistic for their national identity. They do not find any reason to offer any official translation for the benefit of the US audience. They are simply satisfied to sell millions of copies in the US market, instead of ten millions of records that they normally sell across the globe.

Unquestionably and radical in sound and lyrics, Rammstein’s authoritative semi-industrial metal is compelling as it echoes the resonant bass voice of Till Lindemann. Profoundly distorted guitar reefs, military hard drums and synth sounds create a canvas of obvious influences from industrial hard rock, heavy metal and electronic music diluted by punk rock, and gothic sounds. Rammstein belong to the NDH (Neue Deutsche Härte) German groups, but they often differentiate their style from the German marching songs by including keyboards to imitate strings, choirs or piano sounds.

“Du Hast” has made a great impact on a broad audience across the world. Introducing pompous ear-bleed guitar grinds anchored by Tanz-metal keyboards, “Du Hast” reflects a melodramatic sense of melody although it is muscularly mannered. However, although it is mainly their powerful music that reflects the traditional elements of industrial and metal music, still Rammstein’s huge success is also attributed to their performance art. Being literally punks at heart, the six members of the group formed a metal band driven by an urge to take the punk ethos and transplant it onto a new music genre, namely the Tanz metal.

“Du Hast” has also attracted the audience because of its weird lyrics. The track begins with a wordplay, which Rammstein often use in their songs: “du, du hast, du hast mich” meaning “you, you have, you have me”. However, this line is often mistaken for the pronunciation of “du hasst”, which in German means “you hate me”. After a few lines the riddle is being resolved by “du hast mich gefragt” meaning “you have asked me”. Then, the audience realizes that the track describes the vows exchanged on a German marriage: “willst du, bis der Tod euch scheidet, treu ihr sein für alle Tage?” meaning “will you, until death separates you, be faithful to her for the rest of your days?”. Typically, the answer would be “Ja” meaning “Yes”; however, Rammstein, loving wordplay and being controversial have replaced the answer by “Nein” meaning “No”.

Despite the great confusing the song has raised and the arguments against its wordplay and anti-conformist lyrics, “Du Hast” has climbed in #5 of the German single charts upon its release. However, Rammstein’s fans know that the group is enchanted to use confusing wording to delude and create humour in their songs. Particularly in the case of “Du Hast” the group decided purposefully to play with “Du Hast” and “Du Hasst” considering this an efficient trick to attract the non-German speaking audience simply by intriguing them to understand what the track talks about. It was a sort of negative advertising which, however, achieved record sales making “Sehnsucht” twice platinum.

In questi giorni mi sto letteralmente flippando con la canzone Moskau dei Rammstein….non faccio altro ke ascoltarla a random e a tutto volume!!!!Nella canzone si registra la presenza della bellissima e sensuale voce di Viktoria Fersch (canta in russo) che risponde nel ritornello all’ottimo Lindemann!!!Il tema principale su cui verte il testo di Moskua è la Guerra Fredda…anche a distanza di ormai 16anni circa!!!! P.S.—> i Rammstein sono il gruppo preferito del grande Hochwart !!!

I Rammstein sono un gruppo industrial metal tedesco formatosi a Berlino nel 1994. La loro musica trae molte influenze da generi differenti, includendo hard rock, elettronica, heavy metal e gothic metal, arricchiti dalle influenze della musica tedesca; ciò al fine di creare una musica originale e non prevedibile, a partire dalla scelta di cantare in tedesco (nonostante inizialmente fossero stati fatti dei fallimentari esperimenti in inglese). Il tastierista Flake, durante una delle prime interviste rilasciate dalla band, definì i Rammstein con il termine Tanz metal (dance metal), a sottolineare l’ibrido tra suoni “techno-danzerecci” e la “durezza” metal presente nelle loro canzoni.

La formazione dei Rammstein non ha mai conosciuto variazioni, si noti comunque che il chitarrista Paul Landers e il tastierista Christian “Doctor Flake” Lorenz si sono aggregati alla band in un secondo momento.
