The above video shows you the power of the Olight M30 Tritron Warrior. This light is extremely powerful in by physical strength and the light itself. The light can shoot a nice 700 lumens at hight mode and it have a low, medium, high and strobe mode as well. The side button allow you to have momentary on/off strobe mode too. This light is build to last but the only problem is the side button don’t seems to be too water proof to me. Otherwise, it is extremely powerful and I highly recommended it as well.

The light uses 2x CR123a or you can use 3x CR123a or the 16340 RCR instead (for more power of 3.6v vs 3.0v) or you can just plug in a lithium battery (18650) and get going. This light is extremely cool looking and with a deadly bezel as well. You can see my demonstration above with the power of the bezel that can cut a hole in the pop can.

Okay here is a kungfu demonstration of the light… enjoy!

Tao.Lights – flashlights collection in 2010-2011 December 11

So in Tin Yat Lineage(Taoism), we have a subject of learning call Tao.lights which is to use nice quality flashlights to combine with Taoism magic and use them as magical tools to perform different kinds of magic. If you want to go into details with TAO.LIGHT, please click HERE to see the details on the Taoism side. This post is to share and conclude the collections we got from 2010-2011 December 11~ Enjoy the photo above! Here is our list:

LIST….

Coleman Headlights x 2, Maglite AA, Fenix LD15 x 2, Fenix PD10 x2, Milight Finger light White LED, Jetbeam series (PA10, BC10, BC25, BA10, BA20, BC40, RRT3 XML x2) Nitecore TM11 Tiny Monster, Swatforce Tactical Light, NCstar LED Tactical Light, Redline Nebo x 2, NC-Star pistol light x 2, Walther Nighthawk laser flashlight combo, UTG tactical light, Olight M30, Olight SR90………and a few more dollar-store ones that are not here, haha!

Thoughts…

Trying out so many cool flashlights is just amazing but this year our student Tin Lui is really playing a big part in this because he became a reseller of flashlights and got us very good pricing for buying new lights and so giving some credits to him here. It’s cool, when you start to dig into flashlights, you start to love them more and you will love them even more when yous start to enjoy the magic of rechargeable batteries in CR123a, 18650, 16340 etc,.. yeah, all those numbers make sense to me now and before that I am just like “huh!?” like you guys here reading the post. haha! It’s fun, flashlight is a very high-tech thing. If you are still thinking Maglite is powerful, time to get in the trendy vibe now with us and start seeing what Jetbeam flashlight can do. Even a tiny palm size light can give you over 600 lumens, what do you want here? With a single 16340 AA size battery, the PA10 gives 650 lumens, which is just so bright that you cannot imagine. Too much cool stuff. Don’t forget to check our Olight SR90 too, I think aliens on mars can see it too!

JetBeam BA20! The Ultimate Tactical Light that use 2 AA!

The JetBeam BA20 is a very cool tactical light that use 2 AA batteries instead of the standard CR123A! This light is way cool, gives you a bright beam of 270 lumen at high mode and 30 lumen at low mode. With this in hand, you are all set for any close quarter combats or even camping or night adventures! This light is way brighter than it have guaranteed on the box and I have just tested that the 270 lumen actually goes way over that 133meters as said on the box, but then, of course the futher it is, the softer the light and the dimmer it is. So just look at our video review below and you will see it in action! It’s now about sunrise here, and so the sky is just dark enough and the lights of all buildings are mainly turned off and so it’s the best time to test this out! Enjoy our video!

After enjoying our video, you must see this comparison between the Redline nebo and the BA20, it’s way cool, the 220 lumen Redline can’t beat it, what a competitive results! The best thing about the redline is that it can turn it’s focus but the beam is less bright compare to the 270 lumen from the BA20. Each have their own cons! This is a test done at about 20 feet on a wall and you can see the beam from the BA20 is much brighter and the diameter of the ring is very large too! Good throw and good flood!

The other cool thing about the BA20 is that it can be very tactical with the wrist strap and the clip. Here you will see the “field stripping” of the flashlight! haha! The light can be greased on the threads and so the turning of the bezel becomes easier and smoother. I did lubed mine and now the switching between modes is just like silk!

After all, we of course did the test of blinding with this light and we proved that this quality light is really worth the money because it is already a weapon itself. The light with one blink can temporary blind you out for awhile and you will seeing some black / white spot in your vision for a while and feel awful… so this is not only a light, it’s also a weapon. If shot into the eye or face for over 20 seconds, you can go permanently blind. It’s crazy bright! The light is also made with aerograde aluminum and so it is very tough, you can use a file, a drill whatever to torture it and it won’t hurt a tiny bit. It is also fire and water resistant as well and so you can go drop it into the water and it will still work! This light is just an immortal tac light!

JetBeam BA20 – The ultimate and easy going tactical light! First impression about this tactica

JetBeam BA20 – The ultimate and easy going tactical light!

First impression about this tactical light is – very compact in size, slim and cool. The light is very slim in size, not even 1″ in diameter because my tactical scope rings doesn’t even fit it. So the light is now either going to be mounted to a weapon with a smaller ring, or maybe just use it as a handheld tactical light. Anyway, this light is way cool. You can’t stop yourself from playing with it!

As you can see, the reflector in the light is very well build, it distribute the LED everywhere and gives you a good throw and flood, which really utilize the LED a lot. Many cheapter lights, even the Maglite brand, doesn’t have this kind of quality reflector, and so when you shoot those cheaper flashlights out, you see the light is not that well distributed and there are some “dark lines” in the circle etc,. that’s a bad flashlight. These are high end tactical flashlights, usually used by law enforcement, and so they are very strong and very well build. You can see that the flood of the light is very well distrubted as wel, no marks, no dark spot, just like a spot-light on the wall.

Which Laser is Good for You?

Lasers are always used in tactical guns and there are many kinds of lasers, commonly seen are red and green, sometimes blue. Why red and why green? As you can see in the above comparison, the red seems to be not as bright compare to the green, not only the factor because of it’s power output, but also the color of laser is different to the human eye. Green seems to be more visible in the range of wavelength, and so green is the brighter ones. Yes you can get a powerful red laser too, but the same power output of green and red, green wins.

Let’s look a a red laser at far distance…

This Red laser above, is the Crosman trigger guard mount red laser, with 2.5-4.0mw and 530-540nm outpout red laser beam. That is about the same as the green laser shown below which have a green laser beam shooting at about 5mw and 532nm output, but you can see a big difference in the color and brightness as well. For sure, the green wins.

Now, we are going to choose a laser. If Red laser is not good, it won’t still be out the market and all commonly seen. Why red and why green? It’s not the brighter the better, it’s about knowing what they are good for, and use it for the purpose. Let’s take a look.

Red lasers are good for closer range at normal lighting or dark lighting area, mostly indoor the best, with regular to low light. Red lasers are good for use with pistols more because they are for shorter range to be practical. The red laser dot is not too big and so you get precision as well as the quick aiming aid. With a green laser, the dot is too big and you become less precise and stealthy. The red laser is just bright enough to quickly help you aim and will not be too bright for your eyes.

Green lasers are better for longer range because the dot is too bright and big, and short range you do not need that unless you use laser as a weapon to blind the people’s eyes. Green don’t give people that kind of “freak” feeling, red usually panic people more and when they see a red dot on the body, they usually put up the hands and freeze. Green dot? maybe no. Red is always the freaky thing. Green lasers are great too if you want to shoot far away or even snipe out enemies from distance. It is also good for hunting, night vision, and so on. If you use green laser at night outdoor, it is very bright and visible, the red cannot do the same job. So green lasers are for outdoor more.

Knowing the laser’s characteristics is very important and so that you can choose the correct laser for yourself to gear up your guns. Also, don’t underestimate the lower power lasers though, sometimes a stealthy 2mw red laser on the grip of pistols can be really handy too. It’s not the brighter the better, don’t make the wrong choice. If a dot is too big, you loose precision. If it’s too small, it’s hard to see. If it’s tiny, you get more precise with shooting too. Compact or not is another thing, and if the laser is mounted, will it fit your holster? That’s another question. Know your needs and choose the right thing. There are many people who gear up their guns with cool lasers and lights but end up cannot put it into the holster and so that’s not what you want. Get something that you think is going to be practical. Then it’s good.

Watch these!

Taken on June 10. 2011 @ 5:15am, sky is dark navy blue to black, and the air is cold and clean, not much dust and no fog or rain, all roads are dry and so it is not easy for light beams to be visible in this condition, but still, see it yourself!~

720 Lumen High Power Flashlight – Terminator TD15 XM-L Shoot out to over 600ft and still strongly visible, just like a spotlight from UFO!

The 720 Lumen flashlight is a powerful weapon, if you look at the light for a few seconds, you will be blinded for sure. This is not only a flashlight but also a combat light as well, you can smash windows and hard objects with the head of the flashlights because it is made with stainless steel and temper glass, the body is made with aerograde aluminum which is tough and the whole thing is waterproof up to 2m deep in the water, very durable and powerful flashlight!

Flashlights Comparison

As you can see, the flashlights we are showing here is very different compare to any cheaper flashlights you can buy at dollarstore. These are tactical lights, and they are all build for professionals and often law enforcement use. The 720 lumen Terminator is actually bought at a Law Enforcement equippment dealer as well, very nice flashlight!

The Powerful NCStar Green Laser – Visible and shoot up to 3000ft+!!!

Look at the green dot and see how far it can go, you can still see a very large visible dot when you shoot far far away, it’s definitely a killer! Over 3000 ft range and still can be visible! What else do you want? LOL!

Lasers comparison – Red and Green

No joke, the 5mw NCStar laser is surely the winner and you can see the dots are very small for the 2-mw laser (red) on the PPK, which is what is needed for closer range shooting, to be precise and easy for the eye. For the NCStar green laser, it is 5mw, which is very bright and the dot is very large which is for further distance shooting and you can still aim with precision while the laser is still visible to the bare eye easily. Choose green if you want to have a strong laser, it’s more visible for the human eyes. Choose red if you want to be precise, and only shoot in closer range.
