Well this didn’t work out like planned huh? Dah well, I blame being caught up in great times this weekend (which I’ll be making a post about once I get back from Subway). Until then hit the jump and enjoy lots of music. Side A | Side B | Side C just incase you missed them. Side D contains a few more A Millie freestyles (Curren$y, JD Era, SeDrew Price) *sigh. Kid CuDi speaks on the lovely London Girls (what up Semtex!), Charles Hamilton drops yet another track, Jim Jones is on that good shit (not in my opinion), Evidence (Dilated Peoples) jumps on a few guest spots, Big Pooh is just a regular nigga, Young Buck is flossin with his crew, Young Chris can’t let you. Hmm what else? Cassidy & Gillie Da Kid get on the same track. Musiq wants his radio turned up. Dem Franchize Boyz have a new song haha. Illmind produces a banger for Above Ave. Again, Styles P gutter’ness and more. Every tapedeck! Hit the jump…

KiD CuDi – London Girls
Mr. CuDi explains his love for the London Girls. I’m with ya KiD, I’m with ya. Shouts to DJ Semtex for getting the record to my inbox.

Curren$y & JD Era – A Millie Freestyle
I said I wouldn’t highlight any more A Millie freestyles until I come across a Kanye, etc version. I still stand by that, but I figured there are enough Curren$y fans out there to warrant atleast a post in the Tapedeck. Oh yea, this is a world premier. Ha @ me putting it out there before AHH (which is what it was done for). Get em!

SeDrew Price – A Millie Freestyle
Speaking of this damn beat, my dude SeDrew Price (Vegas what!?) jumped on as well. Despite my warnings. Dude goes in atleast.

Jim Jones – Good Shit
The clean version of this dropped quite awhile ago and I was waiting on the explicit. Then when I got it, I forgot to post haha. For the goons out there.

Musiq – Radio
Musiq Soulchild makes his return with this joint. I’ve given it a few listens after I swooped it from Splash’s spot and I’m undecided on what I think so far. You?

Spree Wilson – Word! (prod. No ID)
I meant to post this when both my people Andrew & SmallEyez dropped me a link. Hailing from ATL, Spree is creating a buzz off Pharcyde like style. According to ‘drew the beat was originally made for Lupe but NoID dropped it to Spree instead. Interesting.

Big Twins – To the Top f. Evidence & Alchemist
Ev, Alc and Twins take it to the top. I’m in need of another Evidence solo album (or a Dilated joint). Either or would be great right now.

Tassho Pearce – Return to the Basics f. Evidence (Scatches by DJ Babu)
Up next is another Ev guest spot. This time for Hawaii’s Tassho Pearce. They both get down over Ev’s production with DJ Babu handling the cut. This is what I needed. Some throwback Dilated shit! Shouts to KNOWxONE for the linkage.

K-Hill – No Regrets pt.1 f. L.E.G.A.C.Y. & Lunatic Messiah
It’s been awhile since I heard some shit from Hall of Justus fam L.E.G.A.C.Y. so this is refreshing to say the least. Off The Return Of Monroe Hutchins which is available this month.

Jon Hope – The Rush
Pretty hot track from Jon Hope, over some (what I think to be) some Statik Selektah production.

Meek Mills – In My Bag (rmx) f. Gillie Da Kid & Cassidy
I know the meaning of this song is pretty big as Meek Mills got both Cassidy & Gillie on the same track but it means nothing to me when the song is garbagio. I’m posting just because. And hey, maybe some dopeboyz and dopegirlz will enjoy it. I can’t recall who sent this to me. Maybe it was Sermon?

Foul Mouth Jerk – Day One f. Grandmaster Caz & Topr
FMJ grabs a legend for a new cut off his latest project. Exciting shit.

Mistah FAB – Umm Hmm (prod. Traxamillion)
It saddens me that people take a royal shit on FAB when dude is actually bonkers off the top and can spit some extremely hot shit. Unfortunately we get a lot of this that hits the masses more.

Young Buck – Flossin f. Allstar & Cowboy
So Young Buck says Fuck G-Unit? Not surprising. Here’s a recent cut from the Cashville emcee.

Militia – Danger Gang
Cory Gunz & Young Hash get together as their newly rehashed group to unleash danger. Sorry, couldn’t think of any clever wording here. I’m hungry (aka I added this towards the end of the post).

Nana Kwabena – Freedom f. Dot, Legion & Kristan Sock
DJ R to Da IZZA, a DJ/Producer from Philly shot me this cut he produced which features the same sample that was used in Wayne’s Dr. Carter.

Charles Hamilton – Fine
This dude just dropped two mixtapes (granted both had a few tracks overlap, but still) and he’s on some more shit. I’m really feeling this track.

Umar Bin Hassan – Free f. Styles P
Starting the Styles P posting off, we got this dope track from Umar Bin Hassan (of the Last Poets). Remember Common’s The Corner? Yea that was this dude who went off.

Styles P, Snyplife, St. Laz & Hostile – Kiss the Corpse (prod. Ronnie C)
I was gonna hold off on posting this until I drop an upcoming (2)Dope post with St. Laz but fuck it. This track is too hard to ignore for now.

Styles P – Goin Thru It
Big Mike & DJ Thoro always tends to have some exclusive shit from The Ghost. And with their new mixtape, it’s no different. Shouts to Splash for the hook up.

Styles P – Bitch Nigga Run
I’m lazy, see above.

Dem Franchize Boyz – Turn Heads f. Lloyd
DFB attempt to turn heads with their new hit. Grabbing The Inc’s rat for a guest spot.

Prawphit – Instant Classic f. Copywrite
It’s good to see Copy still banging out hard hitting rhymes. This time hopping on as a guest for Prawphit’s latest.

Bosko – In This Club f. Bloodraw
Bosko and CTE’s Bloodraw assassinate Usher’s hit single. Ouch, this was a tast to make it through (the first 45 seconds). Everyone aside from T-Pain and Kanye need to step the fuuuuuuuck away from the vocoder shit. Wow.

Bash Bros. – Open 40 Bottle f. Pumpkinhead
Cali’s Bash Bros drop another track featuring the dope dope Pumpkinhead. I really dig dude’s voice, flow. Yep.

Ab-Soul – A Regular Nigga f. Big Pooh
Little Brother’s Big Pooh joins Ab-Soul in an ode to the regular dude. I fuck with it. Shake is an average cup.

A.Pinks – Jumpstreet Family
NY’s A.Pinks continues his grind with this new one.

Young Chris – Can’t Let You
It seems like I always end these Tapedeck’s with a Young Chris joint. Just proves how hard dude is working. Young gunna!

Took a little longer to upload these than I expected. But here it is as promised. Side B of What’s in the Tapedeck v.18. Two more to come after this! In case you missed it, Side A. Now onto the show. This time around we got a triple shot from both Grafh and Ransom, some Robin Thicke magic, T-Pain’s new single, another new Young Chris joint, a few NR remixes of a Nicolay & Kay joint along with a Buckshot classic. A Cory Gunz freestyle, some indie love for Celph Titled, Tame One, Del the Funky Homosapian, Rise, Wordsworth, etc. Papoose lives and learns, Travis Barker has expensive taste and more! Hit the jump already…

Expensive Taste – Pop One of These f. Too $hort & The Federation
The group of Paul Wall, Travis Barker & Skinhead Rob drop another joint, this time featuring Too $hort and The Federation. It’s definitely hit or miss with people. But I can see some dopeboyz and dopegirlz out there digging it.

Alfamega – Uuuh Huh f. T.I. (prod. Nitti)
T.I. joins his Grand Hustle fam for a Nitti produced track that should definitely settle the appetites of the fans out there.

Buff1 – Classic Rap [right click + save as...]
Another banger from Michigan’s Buff1 off his upcoming album, There’s Only One, dropping August 12th.

The League – Sean Bell Tribute
Pretty self explanitory here. I don’t even know anything about these dudes. Just a random submission I thought I would throw up. Yep!

Papoose – Live & Learn
Pap’s flow has always been an issue with me. He gets all Touch It hype on tracks he shouldn’t be doing. Thankfully it’s calmed down for this joint. I can fuck with it.

Ne-Yo – Closer (rmx) f. SunNY
I’m really feeling this Ne-Yo record. SunNY comes out of his MIA status to drop a verse for an unofficial remix.

T-Pain – Silver & Gold
T-Pizzle’s new single which I admit I enjoy haha. That’s the thing with T-Pain… as corny as his music gets the man can make a hit. This will do great in the clubs. Easy.

Celph Titled – Mad As Fuck
I’m a huge Celph Titled fan. Shit, I enjoy the whole Demigodz fam. After Celph dropped that awesome 4disc set I hadn’t heard much from him. Good to see new music, even if this was recorded a little while ago. Celph is dope with the punchlines, respect that.

Rise – Make Room (rmx) f. Wordsworth, Born Talent & BK Cyph
Keeping it in the Demigodz fam. The criminally slept on Rise drops a new cut with a pretty hot line-up. Wordsworth, Born Talent & BK Cyph. Indeed!

Buckshot – How Many MCs (NR Remix)
My man DJ Slimm’s little brother got beats! Check out this remix to Buckshot’s classic cut! Shouts to Slimm for the mix as well.

Nicolay & Kay – Tight Eyez (NR Remix)
Again, same as above… except NR remixes a track off Nicolay & Kay’s latest album.

Ransom – I Choose You
Duffle Bag Ran takes his shot over UGK/Outkast’s International Player’s Anthem

Ransom – You Know What We Bout
Another freestyle from Ransom. This is another artist that people seem to either really dig or mark him off as nothing. Whose side are you on?

Arlis Michaels – Man on These Streets f. Ransom, Moe Chips & Weez
One more Ransom related track for the tape. this time he gets on a track with Arlis Michaels, Moe Chips & Weez. Shouts to St. Laz for sending this through. Brooklyn x Jerzey connection!

Grafh – Tryna Get
The latest from the Blackhand Gang representer. Shouts to X for sending this through. This is a bit different for Grafh but I can see where he’s going with it.

Grafh – Head Shots f. Nat
Ahh, now this is what I’m talking about. Some real street shit from the homie featuring Nat.

Grafh – Make It Happen
Wrapping up the triple threat of Grafh. Make it Happen is what you’d expect from the NY emcee.

Young Chris – Old School
Young Chris is on his grind! Every week there’s a few more tracks to enjoy from the Young Gunna. I likes!

Maino takes his turn on Jeezy’s single. After Kanye did his thing, no one can fuck with this imo. I put oooooon.

Cory Gunz – Girl U Know

Ouch, it’s been a whole month since I last dropped a What’s in the Tapedeck on ya’ll. It’s definitely not because there isn’t material out there as I have about 100 tracks I wanna upload (mind you some have been on the internets already but I didn’t wanna leave them out). That’s why v.18 will be dropped in 4 sides. Most likely all done today (if not by tomorrow for sure). Side A consists of some heaters from 88-Keys, Immortal Technique, Donny Goines & Red Cafe. Some Ja Rule tracks, a few Black ELement joints, a new joint by Dru Hill, Jae Millz first drop since signing with Young Money, Cam’ron resurfaces, an instrumental off Tha Carter III by Kanye West, an unrelease Gemstones & Lupe Fiasco cut. What else? Kurupt rips Nas’ Made U Look apart, John Legend teams up with Andre 3000, the Hot boys reunite (without Turk). Vegas’ own SeDrew Price drops another banger. Steve-O & Kool G Rap? And much more, so hit the jump and enjoy!

Kanye West – Let the Beat Build [Instrumental]
This production if on fire and I don’t mind the track itself but I feel that Wayne could’ve come a lot harder. Maybe another emcee will take a crack at it and show him how it’s done *cough* HOV *cough*

John Legend – f. Andre 3000 [Snippet]
I know I might have tricked a few people with the mention of this above but I never got around to posting this. I really really really want the full version to this. Damn!

Black ELement – Ama Tell It Like It Is (prod. Rami Afuni)
While the single to his upcoming album is taking a little longer to get done than expected Black ELement dropped me this older track to hold the fans over. Make sure you check amajorminority.com!

Black ELement – Folks Don’t Cost A Thing f. NAV (prod. Rami Afuni)
Read above suckas!

Dru Hill – Get Loose
Sisqo, Jazz, Nokio and new member Tao are back with a new joint that really has that 90’s R&B feel reminiscent of their previous efforts. But come on, nothing is touching Enter the Dru.

SeDrew Price – Hercules
I made an intro post to SeDrew last week and got a few emails requesting more music. So here you go! If you’re in the Vegas area this upcoming weekend. Drew will be on stage alongside Joe Budden and Blu at the Beauty Bar!

ESSO – It Ain’t Hard to Tell (BlendMix) f. Nas
ESSO is back ready to piss the world off again haha. Anti-Backpack had idiots complaining. The same thing has already started with this joint. Yes, a classic Nas verse is laid over a Jeezy beat. When I dropped this on DX I saw alot of hate for that reason, saying it’s ruining hip hop. But why? Doing stuff like this at times can be helpful. The generation now might not fuck with the dope Premo, Large Pro, Pete Rock beats. But they are in love with Jeezy, Weezy and T-Peezy so why not mix them both. Educate the youth who enjoy the synth beats and let them hear what real lyrics sound like. Go ESSO go!

KNONAM – I’m Back f. Royce Da 5′9″
I’ve been fuckin with KNONAM (pronounced “no” “name”) for quite some time. He’s done tracks with a lot of my favorite artists, from Brother Ali to Eyedea. Repping MPLS, he’s dropping a new album on June16th. Check for it! And how can a Royce verse hurt anything? Ha!

Gemstones – G4 f. Lupe Fiasco [Unreleased]
The homie Andrew dropped this awhile back and I am stupified on how I missed posting. Regardless, it’s always dope to hear unreleased gems from artists that I enjoy today. Especially Lupe who had a completely different sound back when. Good shit!

Cam’ron – My Aura [Radio Rip]
I held off posting this as it was only a radio rip and I expected a CDQ to hit the net soon enough. Well it’s been a week dammit. So you can check this or don’t. I’ll post the better version when it drops of course.

Sophia Fresh – Super Bad f. T-Pain & Cee-Lo
I’m not gonna lie, the ONLY reason I downloaded this song in the first place was for the Cee-Lo feature. No clue who Sophia Fresh is but after checkin their MySpace I might have to watch a little closer. I could see this song doing well on the radio and in the club. We’ll see.

Steve-O – Poke the Puss f. Kool G Rap
Yes, it’s the Steve-O from Jackass. Yes, it’s the KGR. And yes, they are on a track together. I have no clue why. Steve-O also has a mixtape out now. Yikes.

SugaRush Beat Company – L.O.V.E.
My man William shot this over to me awhile back and it’s very refreshing! Don’t sleep on this whatever you do. Especially if you’re getting tired of hip hop and need a break. He’s got another cut over at his DX blog.

Jae Millz – That Cash
Mr. X shot me this track this morning. The first released record from Millz’ after his signing with Lil Wayne’s Young Money. I can dig it.

Immortal Technique – Reverse Pimpology f. Mojo
Another track off Technique’s upcoming project with Green Lantern (which I might add is pretty dope). Can’t post nothing though. What you want me to do? I’m sorry!

Kurupt – Made U Look Freestyle
The DPG emcee gets down over Nas’ classic. Enough said wow. Shouts to Daniel for sending this through!

Lyriciss – Blog Talk
It’s no secret that I’m a self centered prick. Ok, I’m not. But it’s dope to hear your name/website dropped in a song. Be on the lookout for more music from this DMV emcee on 2DB soon! Shouts to Amanda as well, now give me some sugar (cookies).

Ja Rule – Love Me No More (rmx) f. D-Lyfe
This track’s been out for a minute but I forgot to post so here you go. Stuart Little hopping on Jenny Jones’ Love Me No More.

Ja Rule – Press On f. Mary J Blige
Same as above about not posting. This is the full version that features an extra Rule verse though.

Nikal Fieldz – Be a Racist
Nikal records his own rendition of Nas’ latest. Ya’ll saw the video right?

Add-2 – Add’s Deconstruction Freestyle
I really should be making this a seperate post (I still might). Chicago’s Add-2 goes to work over The Roots’ 75 Bars (Black’s Deconstruction). Wow!

88-Keys – True Feelings
Another gem off 88-Keys mysterious new album that’s executive produced by Kanye West. Damn I want this project now!

Crew54 – Ghetto is Our Home f. Donny Goines
Not too familiar with Crew54 but they got Donny Goines for a guest spot so of course it’s getting a feature on 2DB. Yessir!

Red Cafe – Millionaire
Another track that’s been out there for awhile, but whatever. Obie Jr. is very hit or miss with me.

Ayah – Problem Woman
This Canadian songstress can sing. I posted a track she did with Skyzoo and here’s another. Both are off her new mixtape, available now!

B.G. – Ya Heard Me f. Lil Wayne, Juvenile & Trey Songz [Radio Rip]
Another radio rip I was refusing to post since I figured a CDQ would drop soon. Nope, but this is the closest fans are gonna get to a Hot Boys reunion until they actually record the album (which I don’t expect to happen for awhile, if ever).

Al Be Back – Rest In Peace Pun
I didn’t mean to leave this for the end, but it’s a great way to wrap up Side A of What’s in the Tapedeck v.18. Al Be Back pays homage to one of the best lyricists to ever pick up the m-i-c.

*If you want this in one file you’ll have to wait until tomorrow. Enjoy for now and be on the lookout for Side B soon enough!

Fresh off our best day, view wise. I felt it’s only right I drop a What’s in the Tapedeck. We got new music from Styles P, J-Hood, Ca$his and Cory Gunz. Some Hot Rod f. Akon & Freeway, The Dream f. Fabolous, a few tracks off GTA IV from Maino, Tru Life & Red Cafe. We got some new west music from the Strong Arm Steady Gang, LL Cool J gets over Rider pt.2. Nelly stomps right out of his AF1’s into some J’z and more.

Gillie Da Kid, Bump J, Meek Mill & Nitti – A Millie Freestyle
Gillie, Bump J and some other dudes get over Wayne’s A Millie for a Philly edition.

Trama – Supa Delegates
Trama sent this to me for his Supa-Tuesday run (I’m late I know). He’s dropping his new mixtape, Barack-O-Trama, next week. This joint has Tram and his boys Katana, N.I.G. and Ike Treeze over For Da Fam. You know, the Amil joint featuring Hov, Bleek & Sigel that shouldn’t of had Amil on it.

LL Cool J – Rider pt.2 Freestyle
Cool James was on Kay Slay a few days ago and gives a preview to Exit 13. Does LL still rock the bells? What do you guys think he’ll do on his new album?

J-Hood – Bye Bye
Brand new joint from the ex-D-Block member. I actually think it’s sad that he apologized. Because we all know it’s because he woke up one day and realized that Sheek is the size of an army tank and he’s the size of Gumbi.

Nelly – J’z f. Jermaine Dupri & Ciara
Nelly is trying to make his comeback and I’m not sure if this is the way to do it. Stompin’ in your Air Force 1’s was fine, but hoping on the J train? I don’t know Derty. I just don’t know.

Hot Rod – Hustleman f. Akon & Freeway
Another new track off Hot Rod’s upcoming Knight Rider mixtape. Dropping this month.

Santogold – Your Voice
There’s nothing like starting your morning off with some fresh unreleased music from the Philly-raised / Brooklyn resident Santogold.

The Dream – I Luv Your Girl (rmx) f. Fabolous
Loso sure does love to hop on the hottest r&b songs on the radio. I’m waiting for him to get on Love in This Club or something. Shouts to Splash, the New Music Cartel up in this bitch.

Yung Berg – First Time f. Fabolous
See what I mean? I want another More Street Dreams Fab. Grab Budden and Cain and do NIGGAZ pt.2 now! Sidebar: Yung Berg is horrible.

Strong Arm Steady – Drugs & Money f. Spliff Starr
Something isn’t right, when you grab the weed carrier of the millennium for a guest spot. I’ma have to hit Dizzle up and see what was going on. Even so, new music from the Strong Arm Steady gang is good to me.

Tru Life – Wet Em Up
New track off Green Lantern’s Grand Theft Auto IV radio station. Shouts to Mr. X (again, New Music Cartel strikes).

Cory Gunz – Drug Rap
Peter Gunz other half gave birth to a fuckin beast. Cory is on a serious fire blazing trail as of late. Can’t wait for more.

Styles P – What’s the Problem
Even more goodness off GL’s GTA IV radio station. This time the Ghost goes in.

Jody Breeze – Watch me Now
I remember when Boyz N Da Hood first came out, I was always like fuck Jeezy, Breeze is the hottest in the group. I just enjoy his flow for the most part. *shrugs.

Takia – Ghetto Girl (prod. Double-O)
According to the numerous fuckin emails, Takia is the Hottest from Harlem. Umm, naah. But I couldn’t overlook the Double-O production. You coppin The In Crowd? It’s out this Tuesday!

Red Cafe – Stick Em
Even more shit off Green Lantern’s GTA IV. Shouts to Mr. X.

Maino – Getaway Driver
See above.

Pharoahe Monch – The Healer Freestyle
At a recent show, Monch gets down over Erykah Badu’s The Healer. What I wouldn’t do for a studio recording of this.

Ca$his – Why Not (prod. Rikanatti)
How did this dude get signed by Em? I will never understand that move. Regardless, I know there are some fans of Ca$his so he is a new cut courtesy of DJ Ian.

Chozen Few – Murda Rapz f. Uncle Murda & Billz
Some more hardcore New Yaawwk rap for ya’ll.

2 Pistols – She Got It (rmx) f. Twista, Lil Kim & T-Pain
Twista and Kimmy joint 2 Pistols for the remix to his radio friendly single. I’ll leave it at that.

Man that Adam Sandler/Baron Davis NBA commercial is hilarious. A drlrlrlream. I have a bunch of random singles laying around that I haven’t gotten to post or just was holding off for the next installment of What’s in the Tapedeck. Check after the jump for new music from Ransom, Fam-Lay, dead prez and Akrobatik. Bow Wow-ain’s new single, another D12 joint, Roccett’s single with Akon, a few Joell Ortiz features, a Lil Wayne feature. Some MF DOOM!
Lily Allen – I Gotta Say
Say what you want, this chick is dope! I dig the fuck outta her last album and actually can’t wait for her new one. The accent is killer.

I’ve been up on TiRon for a few now and he’s extremely dope. You might of heard his on Pacific Division’s latest cut, Paper. Keep an eye out on this kid for sure! Fisticuffs on the beat.

MB, Ransom & Sparkdawg – Duffle Bag Boys
Another track off D12’s upcoming mixtape. Again, this track is missing any Proof or Em verses so I held from making a solo post on it. If these guys wanna build any kind of buzz for this project they NEED either of those two on a track that leaks, etc. We’ll see.

Returners – Do You f. El Da Sensai, Skyzoo & King Magnetic
It’s a really powerful work. Pics courtesy of RentonArg. He has some sick wallpapers to check out if you like anime. Tip: view the images in a seperate window for the full sizes.

First let me point out a new addition to the site: right on the left hand side there’s now a “Post Music” button that you can follow if you want to throw up some of your music or events. It’s all about you, and I’d love the interaction/discussion… I plan on adding a “Chicago Icons” tab as well, featuring links to artists/venues/promoters that will help navigate this crazy city. Stay tuned.

Now on to the music. More Neon Coyote on the way here, this time a clever little edit of the Radioclit remix of Bonde Do Role’s “Gasolina” as well as a Sid & Nancy/Symbol One/MIA cut- gotta love it. Their vocal work continuously bangs, balanced and forthright, these guys are so tight. Wanna hear what they pound like live? Check out the Cakeshop Disco mixtape. Versatile. I could probably do without the PDiddy (I’m just a hater. lol)- but God! That Kelis remix is hot. And just wait until I get the greenlight to post some of Chico Love’s gangster mixes, he’s another Epic Banger that chills with the ‘Coyote. I’m sitting on a tape that’s burning a hole through my jeans. Patience is a virtue I suppose.

Bonde Do Role – Gasolina (Radioclit Remix Neon Coyote Edit)

True enough to my word, I was able to score another Redial track. I gave the Sydney group an intro last week, and here is a follow up track called “Close Them”, and close them it does. Very much an anthem-electro tune, it starts out with a Twilight Zone feel and progresses into a full-on fist pumping onslaught.I’m sure it resonates twice as well live as it does on your headphones. I’ll be looking forward to hearing more of their stuff.

Redial – Close Them

A little bit late to the topic, I’ve been banging out Stereoheroes in my car ritually. What else is a loud stereo system for, eh? “Fing Fang Foom” reminds me of the SebastiAn “Motor” track that winds up and up and up and up. It’s like muscles contracting until they snap in half. Or an engine pushing and pushing until it finally explodes. Anyone ever seen “Neon Genesis“- right at the ending when everyone is blowing up.. (not gonna ruin the ending)? It’s like that. Someone reading this has seen it. No doubt. Screw it, I’m featuring all that artwork today.

Stereoheroes – Fing Fang Foom

Stereoheroes – Boom Slang

After checking out You Can Call Me Peslki, another great blog that kicked off at the start of the year (though he’s on a hiatus for a little bit as of now), I found an overlooked Klaxons remix that took me for a ride. The track has been around for over a year and a half, but for some reason was posted on relatively few music blogs despite being a great take on the Klaxons staple. And for some icing, here’s another Crookers track that I found at Pelski as well. Killer bounce, wicked drum rolls.. A pocket ace for any DJ trying to get a crowd movin’.

Klaxons – Atlantis To Interzone (Ayia Napa To Interzone Tapedeck Remix)

Crookers – My Penny

This one isn’t a Neon Genesis pic, it’s a Melancholy Of Haruhi Suzumiya image. Not quite sure what that is, but the pic is pretty sweet. So whateva.

I thought that I was done posting the Yelle “Ce Jeu” remixes, but they just keep popping up on my radar and I can’t quite shake my adoration for the original, so here we are: “Ce Jeu” straight merked by The Videoband. I’m not sure how you spell ‘merk’, but in Chicago, my buddies say that in place of kill, as in “my landlord is such an asshole, someday he’s gonna come over and I’m gonna straight merk him and throw his body in the dumpster.” This aches of a Sesame Street episode (btw it’s Mr. Rogers’ 80th BDay) but the term was new to me when I moved back here and I thought I would share it with you.. Anyways, The Videoband is an outift out of Rotterdam that I stumbled upon after my last Kills remix post by NiteCells over at Tuftsmania (always always great music). They have a few killer (and i mean fucking killer) remixes that are worth taking a look at, and they’re one of the few groups that rock so hard and yet have little attention thus far. I’m sure that will change very rapidly. I’ll try to get more of their stuff, but for now this is what I have to offer you.

I’ve got a bunch of tracks and instead of just dropping single posts for each, I’ll just group them in the viewer favorite “What’s in the Tapedeck” series. This volume has new shit from Kardinal Offishall, Rick Ross, Royce Da 5′9″, Young Buck, Apathy, Kanye, Estelle … a DMX and Ashanti diss from Stuart Little, some unreleased Ne-Yo and more. Enjoy!

Big Gov – Deleted f. Royce Da 5′9″ and Press Box
Royce takes this with ease, but the cat at the end isn’t half bad. Decent joint all around.

Estelle – American Boy f. Kanye West
DX premiered this joint a while back. More female talent from the UK. They are gonna take over!

Ja Rule – Judas (DMX & Ashanti Diss)
Stuart takes shots at X and Ashanti. Umm, yea just listen.

T-Dot represent! Shout out to Lowkey for this Konvict remix!

I hate the fact that they are doing solo albums, no point. Some artists DEMAND a counter and these two define that reasoning. Oh well, can’t judge til I hear the albums.

Bash Bros – Rock the Spot f. Sean P & Big Pooh (of Little Brother)

This is gonna be a series that we drop on occasion (we’re not gonna set dates or intervals on this shit; they’ll come when they come). It’s gonna be a list of links for some shit that we got got on rotation. They’ll always be single tracks so the people dying for full albums can hit their local Best Buy.

Disclaimer: We wanna say this now and get it out there. These lists are gonna vary like crazy … you just might see a new Lil Wayne track followed by some new Tom Yorke stuff. Just what we think is dope (there will also be the times we drop some exclusives for people that we don’t personally like but know others do). Feel free to suggest artists and songs at any time through comments or emails (ContactUs).

And with that said … let’s get the ball rolling.
