Why Colonial Candles have grooves.

When Colonial Candles burn, unlike tapered candles, the wax has somewhere to drip. Tapered candles naturally develop wax lines of melited wax, which cling to the sides of the candle. Colonial candles however, have a more even appearance because the wax drips between the grooves.
