Shhhh…Keep quiet. Nothing comes as easy as laying in Tara Ried’s bed all day, but just keep that a secret or it will be your biggest mistake. Just ask Tara Reid who now has to pose for Playboy to get attention. Two years ago if you told me Tara Reid was going to pose for Playboy I would have puked and cut out my eyes on sight. If you would have told me Tara Reid was going to pose for Playboy 7 years ago I would have blew my load right then and there because I was young and didn’t know that girls like Tara Reid were all over the place, just with different names. Today though we get a peak at Tara Reid in Playboy and I have to say that I’m some where in between with the feeling in my pants. When the full spread comes out I’ll decide if I want to jizz my pants or cut out my eyes.

Big Lebowski, The (1998)

I usually don’t like screwball comedies because the characters are stupid without any sort of redeeming qualities, the jokes are rude and sometimes mean-spirited, the story has no idea where to go, and I quickly get bored watching them because they fail to get me to think. Strangely enough, I enjoyed “The Big Lebowski,” written and directed by the Coen brothers, because of such qualities except for the fact that it is far from mean-spirited. Jeff Bridges stars as The Dude, whose real name was Jeffrey Lebowski, a guy who was mistaken by two miscreants as the millionaire Lebowski. Since the two didn’t get what they wanted from The Dude, one of them decided to pee on his carpet. What started off as a story about a slacker who wanted compensation for his carpet ended up being about a lot of things: a kidnapped woman (Tara Reid), an artist who had intentions of her own (Julianne Moore), nihilists who craved money, and the dynamics among bowling buddies (Steve Buscemi and John Goodman). All of such disparate elements came to together in a way that didn’t necessarily make sense–in fact, sometimes I had no idea what was going on–but it was very funny because each character was driven by well-defined motivations (no matter how strange they might have been). I did not expect this kind of movie from the Coen brothers because I’m more familiar with their thrillers (“No Country for Old Men,” “Blood Simple”) and dark comedies (“Intolerable Cruelty,” “Fargo”), but after watching the film I was glad that I got a taste of their lighter side. The only real complaint I had with this picture was it had no reason to run for almost two hours long. Somewhere after the half-way point, I began to wonder when it was going to be over because at that point it still did not try to put the pieces of the puzzle together. The characters were still too busy running around like children and it made me restless. Nevertheless, despite its flaws, I still enjoyed watching this movie because of the characters’ funny fixations and interesting mistaken identities. And considering I detest stoner comedies, I think it’s a solid accomplishment.

Cage, Nicolas — Actor Nicolas Cage told Parade Magazine that he was once stalked by a mysterious mime who would follow him and show up on sets of his films, slipping past security and doing “strange things,” such as pretending to be mercifully trapped inside an invisible glass box which shielded him from Windtalkers, Captain Corelli’s Mandolin and Trapped in Paradise.

Hello Readers,

I’ve got two pretty important questions for you to ponder today.

1. Is it considered spousal abuse to punch a husband for saying his wife reminds him of Tara Reid?

and

1. Is finding out your husband thinks you are similar to Tara Reid grounds for divorce?  

Let’s take a look back, friends, at how the story began . . .

It was a beautiful autumn day in Pennsylvania.  The husband and I were driving in the car to do a little grocery shopping.  Folks were raking the leaves from their yards.  Children were playing football in the school yard.  Butterflies were holding wings as they flew away.  Squirrels were kissing. 

Then, the husband and I made a left turn down a dark path.  I’m not quite sure why or how, but we started talking about celebrities. And then we started comparing people we know to celebrities, and eventually, the conversation got around to us.  I know what you’re thinking — Don’t do it!  — But we did.

I asked the husband who he thought I was most like in the celebrity world.  I admit I set myself up for the horrendous revelations that ensued, but it never occurred to me that of ALL the celebrities in THE ENTIRE WORLD, my husband would compare me to . . . TARA REID!  EE! EE! EE! EE! (Psycho music).

So, I asked him, “Exactly in what way?  Exactly.”  And he responded that he’d recently read an article about her, and she reminded him of me.

Why?  WHY?  WHYYYYYYYYYYY?

And then he said, “I thought you’d like that.”

Why?  WHY?  WHYYYYYYYYYYY?

Then I thought maybe just maybe he was kidding.  “No,” he responded.

But I guess the real question is Is this really how he sees me?

What I know about Tara Reid

1. She was in American Pie and a couple of other movies, but she hasn’t been cast in a major role in four or five years.  By most accounts, her career is over.
2. She’s a big partier (aka a big drunk).
3. She was friends with Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan.
4. She’s a fallen star who is the butt of many alcohol-related and bad-plastic-surgery jokes.
5. She’s blond and looks/acts perpetually stoned/drunk.

So then I thought maybe he doesn’t really know who Tara Reid is.  Maybe he’s thinking of someone else, but thinks it’s Tara Reid.  When I was in college, The X-Files was the rage, and guys used to say I looked like Scully.  Then when Kate Walsh joined Grey’s Anatomy, folks said I looked like Addison.  Aside from the red hair, I don’t think I look like either one, but TARA REID?   I don’t get it. 

And then I made another mistake.  As I was trying to wrap my brain around this idea, it occurred to me that he might be thinking of a CHARACTER that Tara Reid played, so I asked, “do you mean Tara Reid, the actress, Tara Reid, the person, or a character that she once played – like in American Pie?”  He replied “the person.”  And just like that, he plunged the knife further in my heart and twisted and turned it until my insides lay naked on the floor.

TARA REID???  REALLY?  Of all celebrities, he compared me to Tara Reid?  TARA REID???  What man compares his wife to Tara Reid — and thinks it’s a compliment?  HOW CAN THIS BE??  Eight years I’ve given to this man, and he likens me to Tara Reid. 

What I Know About Me That My Husband Apparently Doesn’t

1. I’ve never been in a movie, but I work and have worked since I was sixteen.  And other than the three months during the winter of 2001 that I was unemployed after a layoff, I have always worked somewhere doing something.
2. My hard partying days ended when I met my husband, and my hard partying days were kind of soft by just about everyone’s standards.
3. I don’t know Paris Hilton or Lindsay Lohan or anyone like them.
4. Other than college (which doesn’t count), I don’t think anyone has anything negative in the alcohol realm to say about me, and all of my parts are original.  Thank you very much.
5. I’m a red head and am completely sober most of the time (although I do get drunk eyes in photos when I wear contact lenses, and I do drink wine every night – but not a lot – really.).

I’ve been thinking about this Tara Reid conversation for four days, and I still don’t get it.  The husband couldn’t/wouldn’t explain it, and he hasn’t mentioned it since.  BTW, it took him about thirty minutes to realize he made a mistake in comparing me to Tara Reid.  He really thought it was a compliment.

I’m left with many questions, three of which are

1.  Does my husband really think I’m a washed up, messed up drunk?
2. If so, what should I do about it?
3. Is being likened to Tara Reid a compliment after all?

One more note:  I’m sure Tara Reid is a lovely person and has many fans, family, and friends who adore her.  I have nothing against her in any way.  I’m sure she is a nice person and probably donates time and money to charity.  This post in no way is intended to hurt Tara Reid in any way or cause her harm.

This is going to be like a train wreck where you know it’s going to be a mess but you just can’t turn your head away. Like when Paula and Simon kissed on American Idol. Although most of us have to contend with a less than perfect body, we are still entitled to wearing whatever bikini we are comfortable in.  There are a variety of styles to accommodate our body shapes and sizes from the skimpy micro bikinis to the full coverage camkini or tankini bikinis. 

We don’t have to look like a model to wear a bikini.  However, I thought it would be interesting to note some of the celebrities and models in theirs.  Let’s have a look at 27 beautiful women who have all made a name for themselves in one way or another and reveal some skin in their bikinis.  They appear in alphabetical order with birth date and brief entry about how they made it into stardom.

2. Jennifer Aniston was born February 11, 1969 and became most popular for her role in Friends.  The bikini color combination really doesn’t do her much justice.

4. Halle Berry, born August 14, 1966, began her career in 1989 and is considered one of the highest paid actresses in Hollywood.  She is one hot looking women. 

5. Valerie Bertinelli, born April 23, 1960, made her public entrance through One Day at a Time in 1975. She recently was on the cover of People magazine for her accomplishments in weight loss.  Congratulations Valerie. 

6. Jessica Biel was born March 3, 1982 started her career in 1996 and became popular for her role in 7^th Heaven. 

7. Kelly Brook, born November 23, 1979, began a modelling career at the age of 16 and has appeared in many popular magazines and has ranked among the top 10 sexiest women in the world.  Can totally see why. 

8. Gisele Bundchen was born July 20, 1980.  Her interest in modelling began at the age of 13.  She is now the highest paid model world wide and was entered in the Guinness Book of World Records for being the richest supermodel.  That is quite an accomplishment. 

9. Elisha Cuthbert was born in Calgary Alberta (a neighbouring province – yah) November 30, 1982 and started her television career in 1996 with Are You Afraid of the Dark.  Absolutely love her bikini. 

10. Cameron Diaz, born August 30, 1972, was active in the fashion model industry beginning in 1988 at the age of 16.  Her body sizzles. 

11. Katherine Heigl was born November 24, 1978 and began her acting career in 1992.  At the age of 9, she was a child model and has since appeared in many different magazines.  Sensual and seductive – very nice. 

12. Kathy Ireland was born March 20, 1963. Her modelling career began at the age of 17 and was featured yearly in the Swimsuit Issue until 1996.  Very beautiful woman. 

13. Scarlett Johansson, born November 22, 1984, became known in 1998 for her role in The Horse Whisperer but appeared in films as early as 1994. In 2008, her album, Anywhere I Lay My Head, was released.  Sorry to say, but she really needs a tan. 

14. Kim Kardashian was born October 21, 1980. She appeared in Playboy in 2007 while her acting career launched in 2008.  Great looking body. 

15. Beyonce Knowles was born September 4, 1981 and became well known in the music industry 1997 but had been actively singing since 1993 with Destiny’s Child. She also began appearing in the film industry in 2001.  Very sexy.  

16. Evangeline Lilly was born in Fort Saskatchewan Alberta (another Canadian) on August 3, 1979. She appeared on Television in 2002 and in the film industry in 2003 but became most popular with the series Lost in 2004.  She too could use a tan and a bikini style that would camouflage her boyish figure. 

17. Lindsay Lohan, born July 2, 1986, started as a child fashion model at the age of 3 and began making television appearances at the age of 10. She also decided to branch into the music industry and released her first album in 2004. 

18. Christina Milian was born September 26, 1981 also known as Christine Flores.  She made her public debut through commercials at the age of 9.  In 2002, her musical talents were revealed and in 1996 began making appearances in the film industry.  She is a hot looking lady. 

19. Sienna Miller, born December 28, 1981, rounded out her career with acting, modelling and fashion designing which began in 2001. 

20. Heidi Montag was born September 15, 1986 and is active in reality television and the music industry.   Her role in Laguna Beach in 2005 was the beginning of her career.  Great bikini. 

21. Audrina Patridge, born May 9, 1985, was also involved in reality television and acting.  Her career took off in 2006 after the show The Hills was aired.  I think pink is a great color on her. 

22. Denise Richards, born February 17, 1971, started appearing in films in 1993.  Her fashion modelling career began out of high school before her presence on television. 

23. Tara Reid, born November 8, 1975, began acting at the age of 9. She starred in afterschool specials throughout her teens.  In 1998, she shifted into the movie industry.  Personally, I think she’s too skinny. 

24. Nicolette Sheridan was born November 21, 1963.  Her acting career launched in 1984 but wasn’t really noticed until 1986 for her role in Knots Landing.  I totally love her character in Desparate Housewives.  Looks great at the age of 45. 

25. Britney Spears was born December 2, 1981 and is most commonly known throughout the music industry.  She debuted on Star Search in 1992 but didn’t release her first single until 1998. She was also seen in the film industry as early as 1991. 

26. Charlize Theron, born August 7, 1975, made her way into modelling at the age of 16 which evolved into a career in acting in 1995.  She could use a bikini that gives her a little more volume on top to balance out her petite figure. 

27. Laura Vandervoort was born in Toronto, Ontario September 22, 1984.  Her acting career began at the age of 13.  She has appeared in several commercials and became more popular in the film industry in 1997.  Her bikini choice looks great for her body size and shape.

This has been a weird week, what with flying balloons (not containing children) spooking the Western world and Meghan McCain’s giant boobs front and center on Twitter. Work’s been nuts – short week + instructors calling in sick + instructors on vacation = craziness. Craziness!

Thankfully, I have my trusty television to get me through the rough times. Despite the fact that I got home from work at 9 p.m. last night – and had to wake up at 5:45 a.m. today – I managed to log a good 5 or so hours of TV last night.

My take:

Glee: Jane Lynch is a comic genius. Lea Michele is a songbird goddess. Everyone else was kind of just…there. That Puck kid with the Mohawk is very cute, though. And a Jew? L’Chaim.

90210: I’d rather call this 9021-Ho. As in, Naomi’s sister Jen is a stupid ho. I want her exposed already! Navid and Adriana are done, but I’m okay with it for now. Jackie Taylor is back. Insert snore. Rob Estes hot and drunk, though. I wish I’d encounter that in real life.

America’s Next Top Model: This has got to be one of the dullest seasons of the show. Not one girl has a personality. They make Condoleezza Rice seem like Queen Latifah. And the one girl that I like – Nicole – has the worst personality of all. It’s like watching paint dry. Very pretty paint.

Grey’s Anatomy: It’s official. After last season’s awful ghost crap, I’m officially back on board with the show. I adored this episode. Izzie left Alex? I didn’t see that coming? And how about Callie’s dad trying to pray away the gay? Hilarious and heartbreaking. Sara Ramirez was absolutely stellar in her breakdown scene where she yells at her dad. My beloved Sandra Oh was a bit over-the-top in her own crying scene, but I’ll cut her some slack because she was probably just trying to use her five minutes of screen time to its fullest.

Modern Family: That song! OMG, gossip girls. This show is fantastic. It has the sharpest writing since Arrested Development and a cast as cosmologically brilliant as 30 Rock. Love the “cool dad” the most, closely followed by the Colombian firecracker and the fatter gay. Actually, I love them all – every character. And that never happens. I normally need someone to hate. I didn’t even hate Shelley Long, and that woman is revoltingly obnoxious (case in point: Cheers).

Cougar Town: Courtney Cox is really selling it. You wouldn’t think she could be convincing as an aging divorcee, but she is doing a great job with the material. I loved the “don’t watch me eat” sequences as well as the interactions between Jules and her neighbor, Hottie McHotpants. Busy Phillips and Krista Miller are an uproarious duo, too. And the son’s cute in a dorky sort of way. And the idiot ex-husband. I’d even bang Ellie’s husband, that’s how much I like the show. It’s all about sacrifices.

Melrose Place: I have a question: who is a worse actress, Ashlee Simpson or Jessica Szohr (who plays Vanessa on Gossip Girl)? I am going to say Ashlee Simpson by a (surgically-enhanced) chin. It’s tough to make Tara Reid look like a master thespian, but compared to Ashlee, she’s Meryl fucking Streep. That being said, I think Thomas Calabro is sexy, and any storyline that gives him material is fine by me. I also think that the guy who plays Jonah is hot, so more of him, please. Producers, are you listening? I want shirtless scenes. Victor Webster is hot too. And that David character. I’m really very one-track today (always, right?). Men – mmm.

I still need to watch last night’s 30 Rock and Parks and Recreation, and a bunch of back episodes of SVU. I’m hoping to be a little social this weekend too, so let’s hope I stick with that plan. Enjoy all of the previously mentioned hotties below:

There used to be a time where I thought Tara Reid was one of the hottest females on the planet. She had a raspy voice, said she’d suck cock for a thousand dollars on the Big Lewbowski, she did tons of coke – quite frankly the perfect lady. Then she took the coke thing a little too far and started looking like one of those skeletons in the Pirates of the Caribbean movie and I really didn’t like her all that much.

I had pretty much written her off my “girls that did coke that I want to have sex with” list but thanks to these pictures that came out yesterday, she’s right back on it. Not bad Tara, not bad at all. Don’t get me wrong here. She’s still not great just good enough to toss around on a Tuesday night.
