Target claims to be a family friendly discount store, in which they are trying to promote peoples’ well-being. “Expect More, Pay Less,” is their motto, which, in many ways, is true. Their prices are reasonably competitive with other stores. However, it is likely that Target’s main function is not being a store. There have been multiple accounts of bad cell phone reception in the stores. Although this sounds innocent and non-threatening, it is probably a way of keeping people alert an intent, not being worried by their phones. With that, they can use their announcement system to brainwash the minds of their customers to make them buy more, and then, the customers will really be “Expecting Less, and Paying More.”
