Taylor Rowan was the kicker for the Spokane Shock the last two seasons. He was set to start the 2012 AFL season on Friday, March 9th, for the Pittsburgh Power. Then the owner of the Power fired the entire team due to a possible players strike. Taylor spoke with Patchin, Lukens, and Osso hours after the firing.

The management of the Pittsburgh Power has repeatedly professed a commitment to winning, and just days after signing former ArenaBowl MVP Kyle Rowley, multiple sources, including one from Trib Total Media, are saying they have signed another impact player, who happens to be one of Rowley’s former teammates.

Former Spokane Shock kicker Taylor Rowan was assigned to the Power Friday evening. Rowan spent his first two Arena Football League seasons with the Shock, and in the 2011 regular season, he converted six of nine field goal attempts, while ranking sixth in the AFL with 86.2 percent of his extra points converted. Rowan ranked fourth in the league with 137 total points.

Although no official announcement has been made by the team, it would stand to reason Paul Edinger is on his way out. The former Minnesota Vikings and Chicago Bears kicker came to the Power last season via the Jacksonville Sharks of the AFL, and converted three of nine field goal attempts, along with 82.5 percent of his extra points, finishing 2011 with 108 total points.

On a separate free agency note, the Power, reportedly, have also signed Dominie Pittman, a 6’3′, 239-pound defensive lineman who recently spent time with the British Columbia Lions of the CFL.
