For a change the Politician at the receiving end. Law is on a holiday in Andhra Pradesh, and TRS chief says Andhra Pradesh is non-existent.

The Cat on the Wall Position of various Political Parties, and the Politicians for several years in the Sate of Andhra Pradesh over the Issue of formation of state of Telangana entered an absolutely intolerable stage in the recent times.

Since the 9th Dec Statement by the Home Minister P Chidambaram which was clear and in favour of formation of a state for Telangana Region, In his statement Mr. P C said the govt will like to start the process of carving a separate state of Telangana looking in the aspirations and concerns of the demands by the people of the Telangana region.

The Political parties couple of days prior to the central govt statement in favour of Telnagana State formation witnessed willingness and a clear stand in favour of Telangana by the Political Parties leaders like TDP Chadrababu Naidu and PRP Chiranjeevi supporting the formation of a state and to move a resolution to this effect in the state assembly.

The sentiments both Telangana and in Andhra Regions are so widely raised among the Political Parties that the Political Party heads found it almost reduced them to non performing heads of the parties with no control what so ever on any of the MLS’s and MP’s and the cadre, in such situation seeing the turmoil the same leaders who supported for the formation of a separate state backed out and started blaming the govt and the Home Minister for untimely and midnight drama and a hasty by the Centre, in favour of Telangana with our takeing in to account the parties concerned.

This was seen as a major set back in the translate on the latest statement given on the eve of Christmas from the Congress High Command thru Home Minister Chidambaram where in he indicated almost as putting the Issue of Telangana on Back burner due to a fortnight of intense campaign by leaders of coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema regions against bifurcation of the state which was countered by pro-Telangana groups, Home Minister P Chidambaram made a brief statement saying “a large number of political parties are divided on the issue”.

“There is a need to hold wide-ranging consultations with all political parties and groups in the state. Government of India will take steps to involve all concerned in the process,” he said at a hurriedly called press conference. He read out a four para statement but took no questions.

Justifying the December 9 statement made by him on initiating the process for forming Telangana state, Chidambaram said “however, after the statement the situation has altered.

Chidambaram’s announcement drew immediate condemnation from TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao who met leaders of various parties from the region and called it a “betrayal”. This erupted wide range of violence and arson in the State Capital Hyderabad of Andhra Pradesh. The students of Osmania University greeted the TDP leaders Nagam Janardhan Reddy and likes with Chappell and damaged their vehicles, in protest to their action of playing politics of Cat on the Wall by keeping the issue of Telangana on Hanger and allowing to dry.

Political Clarity and truthful political culture is missing, in all the political parties of the Nation, each is working to promote and strengthen its base with no concern or value for what the people want we are a democracy but with a difference how different are we democratic to make it easy for the political system to make us mere spectators.

(Boosting means starting up multiple computers and kill yourself over and over again, so you gain money and rating faster)

Here’s how

(Any bans caused by this is not my responsibility)

1. You need multiple computer accounts, for example: Guest and Erwtsnert

2. You need multiple TDP3 accounts, no explanation really needed

3. Taking my example log Erwtsnert and Guest on

4. Start up TDP….

5. log one TDP account on in Erwtsnert and another one in Guest

6. You can repeat with this 3,4,5 or 6 accounts (You need a computer with high specs to open more than 4 accounts a computer)st

It is tough, AP keeps figures crossed much depends on his statement, which direction AP will take.

Today is a very crucial test of ability and skills of political wisdom for Prime Minster Dr Manmohan Singh.

As after a month long agitation on pro and anti Telangana by Various Political Parties, members of parliament and assemble protesting and many MLA’s resigning in protest to the statement made by the Home Minister P Chidambaram on 9th of Dec night, on the eve of a protest rally by the Telangana protestors on 10 in Hyderabad the state capital of Andhra Pradesh.

The statement diffused the agitation for separate Telengana and prompted the Leader of Separate Telangana Movement K C Rao of TRS breaking his 11 days old hunger strike in NIMS hospital in Hyderabad, statement on Home Minister change the mood from agitation to celebration and distribution of sweets and night lit by crackers and profuse celebration in the districts of Telangana, The people of Telangana appreciated the gesture of the Sonia Gandhi and the Congress Party and looked forward to it formation at the earliest.

But the celebration did not last long as the day progressed on 10th of Dec several MLS’s across party line resigned in protest to the statement given by Chidambaram the Home Minister demanding unified Andhra to remain.

The chorus on this demand was supported by the Congress party MP’s and MLA’s too, they where to most active in protest, going totally against the dictates of the party high command the Congress leaders on the State from Rayalseema, and Costal Andhra. The agitative mood and aggressive expression over night shifted from Telangana shifted to otherwise peaceful and disciplined regions of Costal Andhra and Rayalseema. The agitators burned and damaged public property and disturbed normal life in cities like many cities and districts of Andhra and Rayalseema regions of A P.

The reaction from political parties which heralded the cause of formation of Telangana in 2009 Elections TDP and PRP not able to control the situation by resignations of many of the Andhra and Raylseema MLS’s back tracked on the issue of Telangana under the changed circumstances, diluting there political stand on separate state of Telangana, This is Politics we can expect the unexpected by our political leaders even the likes of Chnadrababu and Chiranjeevi could spare themselves.

With several Hunger strikes by business interests giants like Rajgopal MP from Congress, and brother of YSR joining the voice to keep the state united, with many others in various districts protesting the complication and uncertainty increased in the state. The Central leadership of congress kept its vigil and the state CM Roshiah kept and tried to keep the conditions under control with mix of success and failure. Add to the fire to the fury the many hero of Andhra agitation to keep AP united in his 8th day of hunger strike broke the police bandobast and sneaked out of the govt hospital in Vijaywada on 10th 10 15 pm only to be surfaced in dramatic manner in NIMS hospital, on 21st Dec this embarrassed the state govt and the police dept.

As this was not enough Rajgopal ( Lagapati) MP’s who is protesting against formation of Telangana added like a catalyst to the separate Telangana agitator who where silent and were in mood of celebration and waiting for the govt to being the process of the resolution and the formation of the state of Telangana, became violent and protested at the NIMS against the stand taken by Lagapati Rajgopal MP the leader of united Andhra Agitation.

The situation has become worst and the tempers on both sides have grown. Andhra Pradesh a otherwise a peaceful and state which produce thousands of engineers, and IT professional keep its young section of the population busy with intense involvement in studies is harming its main asset base knowledge and educational discipline.

What ever is to be done the key would be it has to done quickly and make things clear and allow the minds to rest and settle. All representatives of the parties involved to the conflict, Telangana, Costal Andhra, Rayalseema and the Central Govt and the State Govt should enter in to a close door dialogue for several session and reach to common terms and amicably solve this issue to the benefit of all parties concern.

The tempers are high and damage is huge this will percolate further and could harm in a way it could be a point of no return.

Dr. Singh Please do your best and let the state and its people agree to your advice and decision as PM of the Nation and a person who cares for the aspirations of lakhs of people of AP and its regions.

OK…first I was angry…very angry…. but today…I am indifferent. I guess after a while you just get used to all the politicians bickering, acting like they really care about what people want etc etc. I just want everybody to live together…we are telugus right? We are all Andhrites. If we keep dividing out country like this..where will this end? I understand that India will still remain India but then this incident shows the current social psyche of the people of India. For every problem..we think division is the only solution. We differentiate people in the name of religion, caste, region, social status etc etc and forget the fact that we are all INDIANS first. We just need reasons to fight with each other.

Will division of the state solve all the problems that the people of telangana face today? Magar problems kahaan nehi hai…everyone has problems…you go to any district, any town, any city…people face probelms everyday. Is it only the people of Telanaga who face problems everyday?

One thing is clear, the fight is for Hyderabad and Hyderabad only. Nobody cares what happens to the rest of us. Most of us do not want the state to divide because our property prices might go up or go down (depending on which region they were bought). Nobody is bothered about the farmers, the daily wage workers of the region….everybody is fighting for their own selfish reasons. It pains me!

Anyways, it been quite a while since KCR withdrew his fast and ‘Soni amma’ announced the start of the process for the formation of Telangana state….and then there were more fasts, more dharnas, much more damage to property and now congress is in a fix…doesn’t know what to do…which is pathetic! First you make a hasty statement….in the middle of the night…and the very next day scores of MLA’s resign…from the Congress, TDP and PRP. It is just a big pile of shit right now. Our state is one of the largest in the country…please do not divide it Kalisi Unte Kaladu Sukhamu Plzz!

Anyhoo, on a different note, I am eagerly awaiting the release of Avatar. I’ve read some pretty good reviews…apparently the graphics are awesome!! Can’t wait!!!

Review coming up soon!

Later Peeps

The fissures in the Congress over the Telangana issue on Monday came to the fore in the Lok Sabha with Y S Jaganmohan Reddy along with some other party members joining a TDP protest against the decision to carve out a separate state from Andhra Pradesh.

Jaganmohan, son of late Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, even stormed the well of the House, joining the TDP members who had trooped in there earlier.

The TDP members were carrying placards saying ‘We want united AP’. Jaganmohan also borrowed a placard from them as they shouted slogans in support of a united Andhra Pradesh.

Jaganmohan was joined by Congress members K Bapiraju, B Jhansi Lakshmi, Magunta Sreenivasulu Reddy, K S Rao and some others.

This forced Speaker Meira Kumar to adjourn the House for 15 minutes as her pleas to restore order did not fructify.

Congress members from Telangana, including M Jagannath, countered them while hailing the government’s announcement on carving out a separate Telangana state.

Trouble began as soon as K Narayana Rao (TDP) was allowed by the Speaker to raise the issue of united Andhra Pradesh as an exception as he had not given notice.

As he pitched for a united Andhra Pradesh, Congress members from Telangana were on their feet protesting against the matter.

Parliamentary Affairs Minister P K Bansal’s attempts to persuade the Congress members to go back to their seats went in vain.

M Jagannath, representing Nagarkurnool, was seen arguing vociferously with his party colleagues after the Speaker adjourned the House.

The demand for a separate Telangana state goes back several decades. Telangana is a region comprising 10 of Andhra Pradesh’s 23 districts.

A day after the Centre agreed to initiate the process for a separate state of Telangana, Andhra Pradesh plunged into turmoil with 120 MLAs and MPs of the Congress, TDP and Praja Rajyam Party submitting their resignations in protest against the bifurcation. As Coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema erupted in fury, Chief Minister K Rosaiah said a resolution on Telangana would be moved in the state Assembly only if there was consensus among all parties — a clear indication that nothing was going to be done in a hurry.

“I don’t think the state will be divided immediately. The Union Home Minister said the process would be initiated which has been done but there are several stages in it. We have to consult political parties, people of different regions and then take a decision… If the need arises and a resolution is moved, it will be passed only if we get majority support,” Rosaiah said.

Angry MLAs of the Congress, TDP and PRP told Rosaiah that if he could go to New Delhi and return with a separate state, they were willing to sponsor “another return ticket” for him to “get back with four more states” because they wanted North Coastal Andhra, South Coastal Andhra, Rayalaseema and Hyderabad as separate states.

Though Rosaiah tried to cool tempers by calling a meeting of MLAs in the Assembly Hall, they were in no mood to listen. “We are demanding that the Centre roll back the decision,” said Botcha Satyanarayana, MLA from Chipuripalle in Vizianagaram district.

Round one of the Telangana dispute has finished, but the struggle is far from over. Citizens of Andh

Round one of the Telangana dispute has finished, but the struggle is far from over. Citizens of Andhra, the state from which Telengana just won secession, are in a furor, and nightly demonstrations scar their major cities. Angered citizens have already destroyed 30 buses, and incredibly, 79 Members of Legislative Assembly (MLAs) have threatened to resign. Having promised a state to Telangana, the central government now must deliver one, yet it must also answer to its Andhra constituency. No consensus seems possible.

The government has promised that the transfer “will not be in haste”, and clearly the thing it most desires now is time. Meanwhile, cities in Andhra have completely shut down, and there is already talk of a hunger strike to protest a Telangana state. Further complicating the issue is Rayalseema, a neighboring area, who now says it also wants its own state. The situation is quickly devolving into absurdity.

Hyderabad is an problem for which no one knows the solution. Previously the capital of the consolidated Andhra state, it has been the site of massive capital and human investment. The city has four 5-star hotels, a brand-new airport (which happens to be the largest in India), a massive convention center to European standards and a diminished, though still booming, IT industry. Unfortunately, the city lies square in the middle of Telangana, and separatists have already begun chanting the slogan “Not Without Hyderabad!”. Some vague discussion can be heard of turning Hyderabad into a “Union Territory”, effectively a double capital, but geography should render that plan unfeasible.

Even optimistic forecasters believe it should take at least one year for the new state to become official. Detractors secretly hope Telangana will be mired in legislation and perhaps never happen. But in any case, the Indian government will be spending much time and resources on this issue for years to come.

Hope this time in the case of Telangana and the interest of AP People she will not be proved wrong

Sonia Gandhi as I understand and the Congress as I understand, can’t be so wrong in such a Important Issue. There will be more and much more, to what our eyes and ears see and hear, in Andhra Pradesh as of now.

We know this leader of Congress Sonia Gandhi as a Visionary, and the leaders supporting and advising her are never seen to be in haste to comit on any major or minor issue, we have seen that happening in the past on several issues, local, political, international, administrative and foreign.

The Congress party under the ledaership of Smt. Sonia Gandhi has gained respect and dignity of being wise and firm in there actions and very diplomatic, we have seen them move a step back only to bounce back.

We have seen major upsets in the past, like Sonia Gandhi her self turned the tables over the BJP and its allies when the issue of her becoming the PM after the victory of Congress in the year 2004, the opposition was willing and ready to go on streets on the issue of foreign origin and her being a foreighner.

The surprice decission in the form of projecting a Minority Sikh Community a low and humble person like Manmohan Singh promoted to be the PM of India and so sucessful he has proved for the country.

I expect we have seen only the poster of the events till now, there will be many to unfold as the time passes the situation will be cleared and hopfully for the best and good of the state.

The unfortunate part is we are surrounded with a most active and sensitive Politicaly active parties and their followers.

The commom man is with a little say in all that happens around him, the media, and the men in power find it easy today, with the power and money at their disposal, to manipulate most of the things to mend to help there interests.

What the, sensible among the lot, would do in a situation when the constitutional, and legitimate means of fulfilling demands in the parameters of rule of law and the constitutional rights and democratic means, fails. Then the means of political manupulation and smartness and expolitation will come to the fore front, when blackmail, and breaking of law and insighting and misguiding the innocent becomes the rule of the land.

Then the books of Political Manupulation take the front seat and produce, the music which will be hard to hear, but will make the air clean and clear. It may take a little more time than the other means.

Hopefully this time too Congress with its think tank will keep the states and its people’s interests alive. Hopefully Congress will live up to the pormises it made to the people of all the regions of Andhra Pradesh in 2009 general election and the voices raised and comitments made by its late Chief Minsiter who lost his life in tragic helicopter accident few months back.

In the last lap of campaighn of the Assemble and Parliament elections Late Dr. YSR the then Chief Minister went to the extent to appeal to the Andhra People in Costal and Rayalseema Regions that if Mahakuttumbh lead by TDP comes to power they will not be allowed to enter even in Hyderabad, and the State would be divided and Telengana would be formed it is him and the Congress which will keep the state Intact and will safegaurd the interests of all the regions faithfully.

And the people of Telangana saw three elections and should the desperation been so harsh, they should have rejected the all the parties who did not support openly Telangana. They should have voted decicively for Telangana by voting TRS in Telengana. That whould have saved all this confussion and pain and disregard to the Region of Telengana and Andhra.

We like to see the state and its people prosper and build this strong and rich state by providing further strength by keeping it united and supporting the areas neglected to be on par with the developped coastal region of Andhra with oppertunity to all its people.

Hyderabad heaved a sigh of relief today as the general strike and demonstration at the legislative a

Hyderabad heaved a sigh of relief today as the general strike and demonstration at the legislative assembly did not happen. Congress leadership has indicated that they have drafted a bill to create a separate Telengana state, K.C Rao has ended his hunger strike, and the city is once again jerking along in its regular rhythms.

Over the past decades India has seen tremendous balkanization, of which this Telangana dispute stands as yet another symptom. Winston Churchill, that magnificent racist, once opined that “India is no more a country than is the Equator”, and while events have later discredited that remark, the ghost of his sentiment has been present throughout. After independence every language group wanted its own state, and once that had been arranged, further interest groups began agitating for their own homeland. Telangana will be the fourth new state created this decade. In developments like these one can very clearly see the divisions still plaguing India today, the “communal sentiments” (as residents like to call them), and the way in which the Indian government operates.

The Telangana issue has stuck in Indian politics for 40 years or so, and its recent resurgence can be attributed mainly to climate change (or “drought”, for you non-believers). Over the years, Telangana has seen its share of water rights gradually diminished, as irrigation projects led by neighboring Andhra have diverted water away from the Telangana countryside. Several years of light rainfall eventually brought this issue to a head, after which one saw emotional speeches by Telengana leaders, hunger strikes, city-wide boycotts, and riots.

Such breakdowns of law and order betray a lethargy on the part of the Central Government, an unwillingness, or at least a perceived unwillingness to take these grievances seriously. One does not declare a fast unto death, sparking riots, police beatings, and paramilitary operations, if one believes he has a decent chance of being heard without these things. So in one sense this episode betrays a failure in the Indian decision-making process. After all, it is clear that the Telangana grievances, though quite real, could still be addressed without the creation of a new state. But it was precisely because the Telangana supporters were convinced their voice would not be heard via the usual channels that they resorted to demonstrations and violence.

Central leadership finally acceded to the protesters’ demands this morning, validating, perhaps, their violent methods. But this is the way in which things happen in India – one generally cannot achieve a result without loud demonstrations. This also indicates the severe strain of emotionalism which runs through Indian politics. Telangana supporters, when asked, will point to drought and jobs as the overriding reasons for their dispute, but the matter goes deeper than that: they know, in their hearts, they “deserve” a Telangana state, and no compromises, no palliative alleviations will suffice. It speaks to the lack of “national identity”, to the general identification with smaller social groups: state, religion, caste, political party, and who knows what else.

But even more than that, this little episode exemplifies the sort of issue that can mobilize large crowds in India. After all, to an outsider (such as myself) it is a matter of profound indifference under which administrative district Telangana happens to fall. The overriding problems facing India as a whole, systemic corruption, massive income disparities, an exploding population, etc., could never elicit such as response as Telangana did. Increasingly, such problems are coming to be seen as somebody else’s mess – namely, India’s: a country with which fewer and fewer identify.

Addendum: Former Chief Minister Rajasekhara Reddy’s untimely death in a helicopter crash this September can explain the precise timing of this movement. A formidable politician, adept at keeping a lid on disputes like these, his absence left a wide diplomatic hole. Reddy’s successor, a self-inflated septuagenarian named K. Rosiah, was not equal to the task of satisfying the Telangana supporters.

Is the state of AP at the verge of replaying what happened 40 years by the Jai Telengana Movement led by Late Channa Reddy, in late sixties. It was the Congress Party in Power in State aswell as in the State same like this time in 2009-10. The difference today is Congress did not have the type of opposition it has today to tackle in the Parliament and assembly. It will be difficult for Congress to keep mum this time, there will be action now.

This time it was TRS Telengana Rashtria Samitihi leader Chandrasheker Rao, who in past several years right from his breaking away from TDP due to political differences with its leader Charndrababu Naidu, formed a political party to raise the issue of Telangana and fight for the rights of the people of Telengana. Congress was in Opposition then, and Congress was happy that this is a blessing in disguise to get the power back from TDP which was ruling from 9 odd years due to efficient administration, and popular schemes of Chandra Babu Naidu and his image of a CEO of the State making his popular internationally.

Telengana Region has its share of history of discrimination by the powerful Andhra Business Community, and the officials and the political leaders who mostly hailed from Coastal Andhra or Rayalseema regions of AP, headed the helm of affairs in the State since the time it was formed in 1956 by re organization of states on the basis of Language in the period of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.

The Congress Party was not willing to take any chance and was desperate to defeat Chandra Babu Naidu and get the most important sate in south India to Conquer the Power at the Centre by defeating the BJP and its allies the NDA in 2004.

Chandrababu Naidu had major set backs when is was to face the elections in 2004 both for Parliament and as well as the State, one the Farmers dissatisfaction on the power and irrigation issue, secondly the govt employees was fedup with him for Head Master stlye of fuctioning.

The Minorities who were deceived by him as he fought the elections with out an alliance with the BJP, on gaining numbers traded with the numbers won due the votes of Muslim Minorities in the Elections to gain he political grip on the NDA and compromising on Gujrat Roits and Narender Modi govt.

TRS became the allie of Congress and defeated the TDP with a land slide victory but the TRS was not impressive it got the support of the Congress votes and advantage due to alliance with the Congress.

The honey moon was not long and kCR had resigned with his colleagues from the central Ministry in UPA. Soon he shifted to BJP and then to TDP and then Joined hands with almost all forces in the Political arena, to keep the TRS active. There were allegation with in the party with leaders leaving TRS and raising allegations of corruption and sale of Tickets within the party for the contesting the MLA and MP elections. There were times when the Head Quarters of the TRS had become centre of all controversies and times was deserted for months.

The failure to impact in the Elections in 2009 Assembly and Lok Sabha. The party saw erosion of its political base and the sentiments on telengana and the sympathiser was not reaching the polling station to vote for TRS. Some how the party was getting isolated and loosing its grip on its cadre and many a times the cadre turned against the leader and other leaders of TRS for inciting sentiments and not doing enough to support the cause of Telengana.

Then came the Hunger Strike and the student Agitation in Osmania University in the State Capital of Hyderabad in the month of Nov 2009 which changed the whole dynamics of the agitation for Telengana.

The Agitation all these years which was peaceful suddently took a voilent turn with actions of damage to the property and loss of lifes due to self amolition of supporters of TRS and stundents in favour of formation of Telengana State. There was a moment when the TRS leader broke his fast in the early statges of his fast and the state saw reaction and burning of afiggies of TRS leader Chandrasheker Rao and protests against him.

When he gave a statement that he was forcefully made to break the fast by the doctors the matter subsided and the momentum for the agitionwent in to a serious mode with KCR continueing his fast putting pressure on the Ruling Congress Party. Ultimately congress giving in for the demand instructed the state govt to table a resolution in favour of formation to recommend a State of Telangana to value the aspirations of the people of Telangana with a statement by the Home Minister Mr. P Chidambaram late night on 9th of Dec 2009, which triggered celebrations in Telengana and made KCR and the agitators heros of the Agitation. How real and how quick this will happen is to be seen.

We are being divided… That is sure now. We ARE BEING DIVIDED ON THE AUSPICIOUS DAY OF SONIA GANDHI’S

We are being divided… That is sure now.

We ARE BEING DIVIDED ON THE AUSPICIOUS DAY OF SONIA GANDHI’S BIRTH DAY….

We are basically a divided lot – we never know the meaning of unity. Compare to Tamil, Bengal or Kerala or even Bihar and Orissa – we Telugu people tend to fight on the streets on issues of our own house. Chidambaram, Moily and Pranab – totally a different breed started taking decisions on our future.

Do we have unity… NOW? Where are the major families who have industries like GVK, GMR, Nagarjuna, SOMA, Progressive, Andhra Sugars, Heritage, Saakshi, Apolo, Prasad, Infotech and many others? Where are the glamour world of cine actors – who made a hue and cry on the floods – why not Nagarjun or some one organize a meeting to analysis the issues and difficulties in getting separated? The media – has done most damage and the Telugu media – majority owned by Andhara people – kicked on their mother womb – just for TRP. Did any media went around the city in these 11 days to find out the peaceful atmosphere in major parts of the city? Did BJP will ever learn from MIM who asked 2 days time to decide? BJP lost their right to represent Hindus – when Sri Jayendra Saraswathi was arrested and now they lost their national right when they separated Telengana – the aftermath of this decision will be known only after 10 years! Mark these words.

We are unmindful of political juggling. Our congress leaders of happy if their business are taken care, we will be ready to ask for more divisions if some one initiated it. We are best in aping others rather than innovation.

If one brother of our family raises the division, the other will start asking for more divisions instead of uniting others so that brother may rethink the idea.

We have paid dearly – when Madras was divided, we lost Tamjore that side, we lost Bellary other side and we lost Barampuram on eastern side and we developed Hyderabad with terrible zeal and we became fools.

Never blame KCR or Sonia – blame ourselves for our inaction and apathy and lethargy. We will be happy if we go to US and start some Telugu associations! Where are they when our state is getting divided?

Its over…. And its 2nd time in history. And we again vote for congress – or Chiranjeeve. I expected that PRP will become some thing like torch light in the pitch dark. They never had any innovative ideas, they used to copy the movies and thought they will do so in the politics also.

The blood is boiling… Media is as usual – sama samaajam kosam? In what way? Who stands for the India? Who will try and look into the future?

We have not lost! Rather we are witnessing a wrong being hailed as a greatest miracle. It’s one family – which has taken the toll on us. Compare that family with all the might we have in Vijayawada, Kadapa, Kurnool, Vizag and Rajamundry – where we will hide today? Where these people will hide? And How??

The total destruction is due to lack self respect. Its not congress culture or congress democracy – It is just – not having self respect and unity. We never know the meaning of it. Never try to learn. We become tamilians and speak Tamil if we stay in Chennai for 2 years, we become Bengalis if we stay for an year in Kolkata and we welcome to be Orissa – if we are near Palasa! Where are the real time people? We lost Nagarjun sagar, we lost Srisailam, we have no polavaram – we will become barren –

Hello - US Telugus, Telugu political leaders and Telugu Cine fields major heads and Telugu media – where you are hiding, what your heart is saying and how you are controlling the your heart burn?

:”Hey Maalik Tere Bandhe Hum…..” The song from Do Ankhe Baraa Hath – applicable for us at this hour of depression

HYDERABAD: Tension gripped regions in Telangana on Saturday ahead of the proposed fast-unto-death by TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao demanding immediate grant of statehood for the region even as security was beefed up to thwart any untoward incidents
Rao is scheduled to start his fast on Sunday in his home town Siddipet in Medak district.

Alleging that the state government was using repressive methods to thwart his proposed agitation, the TRS chief said chief minister K Rosaiah would be held responsible for any eventuality. “You (Rosaiah) can’t stuff food into my mouth and break my fast. We have seen enough so far and we shall not cow down any longer” the former Union minister said in an angry tone even as police apprehended scores of party workers in different districts of the region for canvassing support for his fast.

Meanwhile, prohibitory orders under section 144 CRPC have been clamped in Karimnagar where Rao is currently camping. A large posse of police personnel virtually laid siege to TRS Bhavan in Karimnagar where Rao was closeted in a meeting with his party leaders. There were indications that the police may place the leader under house arrest in Karimnagar itself and prevent him from reaching Siddipet.
Six IPS officials and hundreds of policemen have been moved to Siddipet, Karimnagar and other places in Telangana for maintaining law and order with intelligence inputs indicating that the TRS cadre may resort to violence.

“We have put everything in place to ensure that the situation does not go out of hands. Our focus is on preventing violence in view of the threat issued by the TRS,” a top IPS official overseeing the operation said.

KCR may be arrested
November 29th, 2009 Deccan Chronicle
By Our Correspondent

Hyderabad/ Siddipet, Nov. 28: The Telangana Rashtra Samiti chief, Mr K. Chandrasekhar Rao, is likely to be arrested before he begins his fast-unto-death demanding statehood for Telangana on Sunday in Siddipet at 11 am.

Police tightened security across the region and the elite Greyhounds were pressed into service. Around 3,500 policemen were deployed in Siddipet alone, said Warangal region IG Mr J. Purnachandra Rao.
Dozens of TRS leaders and activists were being picked up from dawn itself.

An indication of Mr Rao’s likely arrest came when Siddipet ASP Ms Jayalaxmi said no permission was given to him for the hunger strike. The Chief Minister, Mr K. Rosaiah, left it to the police “to act in accordance with the situation.”

“You have a free hand to maintain law and order and peace. You can take any action you feel is necessary, we won’t come in your way,” Mr Rosaiah told the police after a high-level review of the situation, according to sources. When an official asked if Mr Rao should be taken into custody before he proceeds to Siddipet, Mr Rosaiah reportedly replied: “It is for you to take a decision.”

Mr Rao asserted that he would go ahead with the fast as he was unable to see the injustice done to the people of Telangana. Even if he was arrested, he would continue his fast in jail till his demands are met, he said.

He plans to start from his residence in Karimnagar at 9 am, offer prayers at the Venkateswara temple at Polepally and reach the venue of his fast at Siddipet. “I believe in God. I was advised by pundits to launch fast between 11 am and 12 noon. I will make sure I will launch on time,” he said.

Mr Rao launched a bitter attack on his opponents, terming Congress leaders as “barking dogs” for making fun of his fast and calling the former Congress minister, Mr T. Jeevan Reddy, the “shani” of Karimnagar.

He said, “The Chief Minister must rush to New Delhi and get an assurance on Telangana from the Centre instead of wasting money on deploying police forces in Telangana to foil my fast.”

Criticising the government for the massive police deployment, he fumed: “Am I Osama bin Laden holding a wireless set? Do I have links with international terrorists? Why should 6,000 cops tail a weakling like me? Why should nearly 1,000 cops tail the frail, 75-year-old (Telangana ideologue) Prof. Jayashanker?”

TRS chief trying to provoke innocent people on sentiment issue, he alleges

KARIMNAGAR: Karimnagar MP Ponnam Prabhakar has said that TRS president K. Chandrashekhar Rao should own responsibility if there was any kind of violence during his fast-unto-death programme in Karimnagar district in general and his parliament constituency in particular.

Talking to newsmen here on Saturday evening, he flayed Mr. Chandrashekhar Rao for camping in Karimnagar district and provoking the innocent people of the district on the sentiment issue.

“If he (KCR) is doing his fast-unto-death programme against the declaration of Hyderabad as free zone, he should do the same in the State capital in Hyderabad and not in Siddipet town and gain sympathy for his party in the region”, he maintained.

He said that Mr. Rao had no right to stay in Karimnagar district as he neglected his constituency people during his tenure as MP in spite of being elected on three occasions.

Condemning the remarks made against the Congress leaders on the Statehood issue, he said that the Congress party has its own strategy and Mr. Rao could not dictate terms to the party.

Telangana issue: Chandrasekhar Rao on fast-unto-death
NDTV Correspondent, Saturday November 28, 2009, Hyderabad

Telangana Rashtra Samiti supremo K Chandrasekhar Rao will once again try to mount pressure on the UPA government to grant statehood to Telangana.

His modus operandi this time is to sit on a fast-unto-death from Sunday.

“In spite of our repeated requests to the highest offices at the Centre and the state, the response was very poor. Ultimately, that led to my decision to undertake this fast-unto-death,” said Chandrasekhar Rao.

Chandrasekhar Rao will be surrounded by TRS activists to prevent the police from disrupting his fast. The build-up has caused concern in the Congress camp.

“Any fast-unto-death will create law and order problem. I think it will be resolved. He will have to reconsider his decision,” said P.Laxmaiah, Andhra Irrigation Minister.

The TRS fared poorly in the Lok Sabha and assembly elections in April-May this year. This desperate and dramatic gamble by KCR is an attempt to regain some of the credibility and political space he has lost in the region.

In August 2006, he sat on a fast in New Delhi over the same issue. He was persuaded to call it off after two days.

“We have put everything in place to ensure that the situation does not go out of hands. Our focus is on preventing violence in view of the threat issued by the TRS,” a top IPS official overseeing the operation said.

Express News Service, 27 Nov 2009

HYDERABAD: It may be a paradox but the Congress candidate won from Jubilee Hills where Telugu Desam president N Chandrababu Naidu resides.

Naidu always claims that Hitec City, the pride of Hyderabad, was constructed during his tenure. Hitec City falls in the Jubilee Hills Assembly constituency.

Despite Naidu’s tall claims, Congress candidate Lakshmi Bai won from the Jubilee Hills municipal division. Even in Banjara Hills, where the TDP office is located, Congress candidate Bharati Naik won.

Likewise, the TDP candidate won from Balkampet where Chief Minister K Rosaiah resides. Similarly, the Praja Rajyam canditate lost in Jubilee Hills where its party president Chiranjeevi resides.

All the eight Lok Satta Party candidates lost the election in divisions which are part of the Kukatpally Assembly constituency, which is being represented by party president Jayaprakash Narayan.

Telugu Desam gains in GHMC polls Special Correspondent, The Hindu 27 November 2009 Congress suffers

Telugu Desam gains in GHMC polls
Special Correspondent, The Hindu 27 November 2009

Congress suffers setback

HYDERABAD: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) elections threw up a fractured verdict in the 150-member council, with none of the political parties in the arena crossing the magical half-figure mark.

The ruling Congress suffered a setback by winning just 52 seats, though it contested all the 150 divisions, while the main Opposition Telugu Desam staged a comeback by bagging 45 divisions out of the 141 it contested. The MIM bastions in the old city remained impregnable with the party bagging 43 divisions out of 70 it contested.
It was a dismal show for other political parties. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) which spared no effort to regain its lost glory had to satisfy itself with a tally of five seats, though it put up candidates in 137 divisions. The face-saving solitary win for actor Chiranjeevi’s Praja Rajyam came from Old Bowenpally, though it fielded candidates in 64 divisions.

Despite the fractured verdict, the ruling Congress is poised to get its Mayoral candidate elected with the help of ex-officio members (MPs of Lok Sabha, Rajya Sabha, MLAs and MLCs) in the indirect elections slated to be held on December 4. Congress leaders attributed the TDP’s haul to the backing it received from Andhra settlers in the twin cities as a reaction to the threats held out against them by the Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS). APCC chief D. Srinivas described it as a ‘conspiracy`

Fissures in the Congress bastions in the capital and its surroundings have now come into sharp focus in the first-ever elections it fought after the demise of Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy. The 150 divisions fall in 24 Assembly segments out of which 13 are held by the ruling party, seven by MIM, one each by the BJP, TDP and Lok Satta, while a Congress rebel got elected from one constituency.

Telugu Desam fared better on the outskirts and managed to make a dent in the Congress-held Assembly segments. Notably, it bagged seven out of eight divisions in LB Nagar represented by Congress MLA D. Sudhir Reddy, while in Home Minister Sabita Indra Reddy’s Maheshwaram segment, it bagged both divisions.

Minister Mukesh Goud’s Maharajgunj segment elected four Congress candidates, while conceding two to MIM, one each to BJP and TDP. Similarly in Malkajgiri, it bagged four out of eight divisions, three out of seven in Uppal, three out of five in Serilingampally, three out of seven each in Jubilee Hills and Sanathnagar. The only segment to elect all the six ruling party candidates was Secunderabad, represented by first-time MLA Jayasudha Kapoor.

A view of the Charminar in Hyderabad on Thursday. The ruling Congress party and the Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM) were ahead in the Hyderabad civic polls with the opposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP) trailing in third position

Andhra Pradesh’s ruling Congress party and the Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM) were on Thursday ahead in the Hyderabad civic polls with the opposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP) trailing in third position.

Counting of votes for the election held Monday began at 8 am. The Congress had won 17 seats and was leading in 11 while the MIM had bagged 15 seats and was ahead in four. The TDP was at third place with 10 seats and leading in four.

About 43 per cent of 5.7 million voters had cast their votes in the elections for the 150-member Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC).

Though the Congress and the MIM do not have an alliance, they are likely to enter into a post-poll agreement for election of mayor and deputy mayor to be held on December 4.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has so far won only one seat and is leading in another. The Praja Rajyam Party (PRP) of actor-turned-politician Chiranjeevi and Lok Satta floated by former bureaucrat Jayaprakash Narayan are yet to open their account.

This is the first test of strength for the political parties after the April-May elections to the State Assembly and the Lok Sabha. The elections also come in a changed political scenario following the September 2 death of former Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy in a helicopter crash.

This is the first municipal election after Greater Hyderabad was created in 2007 after merging eight municipalities and 12 villages of neighbouring districts with Hyderabad.

This has made Greater Hyderabad the second biggest urban agglomerate in the country after New Delhi in terms of area (621.48 sq. km).

The last election to the Municipal Corporation of Hyderabad (MCH) was held in 2002. The TDP, which was in power in the State, had won a majority of the seats in the then 100-member body in alliance with the BJP. The TDP candidate was elected mayor in the direct elections held to the post.

This time the newly-elected corporators and ex-officio members (State legislators and MPs) will elect the mayor

Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister K Rosaiah on Sunday said he would resign if the TDP won eve

Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister K Rosaiah on Sunday said he would resign if the TDP won even a single seat more than the Congress in the Hyderabad civic polls.

“I will send my resignation letter to the (Congress) high command and Governor if the TDP wins even a single corporator seat more than Congress in tomorrow’s Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) elections,” he told reporters.

Rosaiah made the comments while refuting the reported allegations of Telugu Desam Party chief N Chandrababu Naidu that the Chief Minister is on the pay rolls of Karnataka minister G Janardhana Reddy, whose firm is facing allegations of illegal mining in Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh.

<ins></ins><ins></ins>

Taking strong exception to Naidu’s allegations, Rosaiah said he is ready for any probe into his own assets as well as his family members.

“If you can prove his (Naidu) allegations, I will go to the people and seek a punishment myself,” he said.

Lashing out at Naidu, Rosaiah said the TDP chief was never willing to face probe over the allegations of corruption faced by him.

“He faced so many allegations. He always ran away from them. Did he ever express willingness to face investigation,” he asked.

“Naidu obtained a stay over a corruption case in the Yeleru scam. If he is sincere, he should get that stay vacated and face trial,” Rosaiah said.

Asserting that he would never try to shield anybody over alleged illegal mining by Janardhana Reddy’s Obulapuram Mining Company (OMC), he reminded that he ordered probe by state government officials first and later sought investigation by CBI over the matter.

“When we realised that the Karnataka is also involved in the OMC issue and that our state officials cannot conduct probe in the neighbouring state, we immediately sought a CBI probe,” he said.

The Chief Minister said that he also pursued the matter with Union Home Minister P Chidambaram though the formal consent from the Centre for the CBI probe is yet to come.

Noting that the Empowered Committee of the Supreme Court has submitted its report on the allegations of illegal mining by OMC, Rosaiah said the state government would wait for the verdict of the apex court.

Former Union Minister P. Upendra Parvathaneni Upendra, one- time close associate of former Chief Min

Former Union Minister P. Upendra

Parvathaneni Upendra, one- time close associate of former Chief Minister, N. T. Rama Rao and former Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting, passed away after protracted illness at a city hospital here on Monday evening. He was 73 and is survived by wife, three sons and a daughter who is married to Congress MP, Lagadapati Rajagopal.

Doctors said he was on dialysis for the past five years following a kidney ailment. His condition deteriorated a week ago and the end came on Monday due to ‘multiple organ failure’.

Mr. Upendra had a meteoric rise in politics. From a man who was an aide of the then Railway Minister Madhu Dandavate, he joined the Telugu Desam and played a key role in its growth as general secretary. His contacts with political leaders across the spectrum in New Delhi helped NTR gain national importance leading to the formation of National Front.

In 1990, he became the Union I & B Minister and was instrumental in introducing Prasar Bharathi Bill. In middle of 1990s he fell out with TDP, joined Congress and was elected to the Lok Sabha from Vijayawada. After a long hiatus from politics, he joined Praja Rajyam before the general elections in May.

Upendra was born in Pothunuru in East Godavari district and after his schooling there, went on to pursue his graduation in Visakhapatnam. In a book ‘Gatam Swagatham’, that he wrote, chronicling his stint in politics, he came down heavily on former Chief Minister, N. Chandrababu Naidu.

There was a steady stream of visitors at the hospital, including Praja Rajyam president K. Chiranjeevi. A. P. Chief Minister, K. Rosaiah, condoled his death and recalled his two-decade long political career.
