A na serio, pora na kronikę kryminalną. Wiem, że niedawno była, ale nie przygotowałem żadnego konkretnego wpisu

Wpadłem na pomysł żeby informacje dzielić pomiędzy gry (a potem przypomniałem sobie, że nie jestem serwisem informacyjnym) i tak, co przykuło ostatnio moją uwagę:

1. Left 4 Dead 2

Ostatnio mam wrażenie, że Valve więcej czasu poświęca, na robienie stron promocyjnych i viralu niż samych gier. Nie powiem, fajnie zajrzeć sobie na stronkę z krótką notką o ulubionej postaci z gry albo “odkryć” jakiś tajny projekt…, ale ja chce Episode 3!

Głosy o Left 4 Dead 2 zdają się być coraz przychylniejsze, właściwie to stykam się tylko z pozytywnymi ocenami i coraz bardziej korci mnie, żeby już teraz dołączyć do posiadaczy pełnej wersji gry. W końcu to aż 5 kampanii, w fajnych lokacjach. Cyrk, bagno, industrial, cmentarz? To pierwszorzędne miejsca na zombie apokalipsę, to coś co powinno być już w pierwszej części :/

Tymczasem… Valve zapodało kilka tapet, osobiście najbardziej ucieszyły mnie concept arty:

A no i jeszcze ta strona, na której możemy wrzucić dowolną twarz na zombiaka: gamestopl4d2.com

No i już pierwsze ciekawostki, easter egg’i i inne pojawiają się na necie. Czy ludzie nie mająco robić? Gra jest dopiero od kilku dni, a oni zamiast grać, przeszukują już pliki :O Na przykład taki Fallen Survivor Infected, czyli były ocalony, któremu się nie udało (teraz to on już nie jest ocalony), rodzaj zwykłego zombie zrobiony na potrzeby dwójki, który podobno w grze nie występuje:

2. Team Fortress 2

Hmm…….. kto śledzi oficjalny blog TF ten już wszystko wie Wysyp nowych mapek payload race, w związku konkursem na tf2maps.net, błogosławieństwo Valve dla treningowej mapki tr_walkway itd itp. Niczym was nie zaskoczę O kartkach świątecznych też już wiecie, bo było na headcrapie.

O to może zapodam coś starego, że aż świat (ale dobre):

Det var en menlös mix och jag lirade demo. Vid ett tillfälle pausades matchen i ett ganska intressant läge. Vad tror ni? Sitter min pipa i soldaten eller missar jag?

Ikväll 21.15 smäller det äntligen. Sverige tar sig an broderlandet. Det är alltså final i ETF2L “Nations Cup”!

Se förresten till att kunna sitta uppe ett tag. Finalen spelas bäst av fem kartor. Så först till tre kartvinster vinner cupen. Jag kommer dock inte ha några problem att hålla mig vaken då det här är fruktansvärt intressant.

With all the commercialisation of Christmas, it’s easy to forget what it’s all about. Setting a semi-spherical cake on fire and unnecessarily laughing at mini explosions inside a cardboard tube. This year, Valve (via Destructoid) have added something new to the yearly tradition – the giving and receiving of Left 4 Dead and Team Fortress 2 greeting cards. Drawn by Alexandria Neonakis, the 5″x7″ cards come in sets of 10 costing $15.95 (£9.50) per set and are available from Valve’s online store. Even non gamers will love these as the illustrations are delightfully cheeky – the price tag isn’t too offensive either. Continue reading to see all the cards in their glory.

Jugando a Team Fortress 2 en una guerra de 90 minutos, en el escenario Hydro, me superé a mí mismo con un nuevo record personal. Nada menos que 361 puntos, quedando primero en toda la partida. El segundo quedó con 279 puntos y el primero de su equipo. Cierto que solo tengo dos dominados y dos némesis, porque la cosa se fastidió bastante casi por el final, pero ahí están los puntos, y todos conseguidos con el Demoman sin cambiar. Me alegro bastante de la forma que he mejorado en el videojuego. Temed, mortales.

There has been a lot of speculations on almost every TF2 forum of a Soldier update announcement on November the 11th (yesterday). There are a few reasons for the forums to think this, one being November 11th is Veteran’s day, suited to the Soldier’s persona. Also during the “Meet the spy” video the soldier punches in “1, 1, 1, 1″ in the key pad to unlock a door, and during the Medal give away, valve gave away 11,111 medals. November being the 11th month, making every thing fall into the “1111″ motif, it just seem to make sense.

Alas, there was no announcement, no update, no Easter egg found, nothing. It was what it was… just speculations.

Luckily for us, the TF2 community doesn’t take disappointment sitting down, instead, made their own soldier update and we’re here to share it with you!

The most interesting aspect of this fan made update is that the creator used community input to create it, making this a true community creation.

[Update] Seems like this update is still a work in progress. The steam forum mods has closed almost every 11/11 thread on the official TF2 forums, even this constructive non-trolling thread. yharrothar has informed me that he will be recreating a new thread, taking more community input as he expands his update even further. Stay tuned for updates!!

TF2 was originally sold as a package deal with the Orange box. What this mean is that it never had it’s own TV spot, and had to share the spot light with the likes of a mute physicist, and a soft spoken murderous computer. A fan realized this and has justly pieced together his own TF2 TV spot based on the latest L4D2 TV spot. It’s very well put together, enjoy.
