Listed as one of Melbourne’s Things to Do, the iconic tram restaurant is a special tram which serves lunch and dinner cuisines – at fine dining prices. I feel its a bit overpriced; I mean how different will it be as opposed to riding the tram on a daily basis to school or work? But then again what isn’t overpriced in the tourism industry? Let’s help pump some tourism dollars into the already booming Australian economy.

We took his car to a carpark basement and took a few shots of the interior and exterior. This is one of the times where a wide angle lens wasn’t just a handy tool, but a necessity.

The Australian-New Zealand (ANZ Banking Group) completed construction in October 2009 and boasts 6-Star Green Star Sustainability rating for office design. It features its own black water sewage treatment, trigeneration plant heat exchanger utilizing gas for more efficient heating/air conditioning, underground air displacement system to only heat up or cool down target areas, additional cooling system utilizing the Yarra River water, and wind turbines at the rooftop to additional power. In simple English, it treats its own water, generates a portion of the electricity it uses, and reduces carbon emissions into the air. Pretty impressive feat of engineering.

Untergrundbahn or U-Bahn is translated as subway, and Stadtbahn or S-Bahn are the commuter trains (stadt means city). You will see these signs in Germany to help you identify underground train/subway stations, similarly to those famous ‘Tube’ signage found in London.

Misty and cold at 0 degrees with only the dim lamp posts for illumination. From this S-Bahn station, it is 1.5 hours journey back to Munich city. We went all the way out here to Taufkirchen just for Ikea. The trip was quite worth it considering that I bought a pillow, thin blanket, sheets, hangers, frying pan, small ladles, 2 bowls, and a cup for a total of less than €20.
