Some houses leave little to the imagination and there are those that leave you asking those sometimes unanswerable questions of ‘what is it’ ‘why am i here’ and ‘how?’ When browsing content for my next blog i came across this house – and the only description i can muster to describe it is ‘Teletubbies College’ or some kind of new ‘fun house.’ It definitely poses the question ‘what time shall i pick up the kids’ and it’s definitely the most outrageous design of a house i have ever seen. You may need the help from many international removal companies when it comes to leaving this place i imagine if the house is as cluttered on the inside as it is on the outside.

[Avviso per i lettori: sta per cominciare una digressione, non è necessaria ai fini del post ma alla sola comprensione del titolo] Io ho la sindrome dell’accattone, conservo molte cose, troppe, forse perché se non le butto mi sembra di inquinare meno, o forse perché in me vive una vecchietta, povera e meridionale, che al momento opportuno mi sussurra nell’orecchio “può sempre servire”, anzi, “cugghi l’acqua quannu chioi” [raccogli l'acqua quando piove, ndr, vedi anche qui]. Ogni tanto succede che l’accattone va fuori a fumarsi una sigaretta, io ne approfitto per guardarmi intorno, e capisco perché il titolare della nevrosi sia andato ad accendersi la paglia sul balcone. Con tutta la carta che ci circonda si rischia l’inferno di cristallo; giornali, bollette, estratti conto, buste paga, manuali d’uso, appunti stampati e non, involucri di cartone, volantini, agende ect ect. Mi piace pensare che il peso della carta inutile che accumulo in un anno sia uguale a quello dei libri che leggo nello stesso periodo. Mi piace pensarlo, ma so che non è vero: la carta inutile è molta di più. [Avviso per i lettori: fine digressione] Pensate che fico se si potesse andare personalmente al macero col proprio carico di carta e ricevere in cambio l’equivalente in carta riciclata. Poi con la propria risma in libreria a scegliere i titoli:
-Quanto viene l’ultimo di Palahniuk?
-Dieci euro e ducecento fogli A4.
-Però… scrive largo ultimamente Chuck…
Un sistema di carta a rendere. Vabbè, lo so, è troppo complicato, dicevo così, un esercizio di immaginazione. Però ci sarebbero almeno un paio di posti che potrebbero fare a meno dei supporti: i negozi di dischi e le videoteche. Pensate a una videoteca esattamente come è ora, con tutti i dvd a muro, tu scegli quello che vuoi vedere, poi vai al bancone, guardi il tipo negli occhi come in un film di Leone, tiri fuori la pendrive come se fosse una Smith&Wesson e la punti contro il bastardo, poi lasci l’arma sul bancone e dici:
-Capo, fammi il pieno…
-Codice?
-Y76
-”Buon Natale dai Teletubbies”?
-Ehm sì… ma non è per me… è per un amico che ha un cugino che un ha bambino piccolo…
-Sì sì, dicono tutti così…
Del resto quasi tutti i nuovi impianti hi-fi e lettori dvd hanno ingresso usb e compatibilità con vari codec audio/video.

P.S.  ”Buon Natale dai Teletubbies” è davvero un dvd a noleggio. Questo il complesso plot: “Ai Teletubbies piace molto la neve, i Teletubbies amano il Natale e i Teletubbies si vogliono tanto bene!”. A vedere certe cose viene quasi nostalgia di quel bastardo berlusconiano di Topo Gigio.

Não há nada que me faça mais feliz que ouvir as gravações do comediante inglês Peter Kay. Ano passado ele me encantou com Geraldine McQueen, sua personagem que simplesmente detonou nos charts ingleses com os hits Winners Song e Once Upon A Christmas Song no fim do ano passado, sem contar com o single de caridade que ele lançou em 2007.
Peter Kay não tem boa voz, mas tem carisma, e sabe como niguem passar esse carisma pras suas e musicas. Essa semana ele lançou um medley ao lado de vários de desenhos animados (entre eles Teletubbies, Salsicha e Scooby-Doo, Ben 10, Pingu e até Bob Esponja) para a campanha Children In Need 2009 da BBC, e pode alcançar o primeiro #1 nos charts ingleses da campanha e a musica que tira o título de One Hit Wonders para Tinky Winky e sua turma. O medley consiste em várias musicas, são elas Can You Feel It (Jackson 5), Don’t Stop (Fleetwood Mac), Jai Ho! (A.R. Rahman & The Pussycat Dolls), Hey Jude (The Beatles) e One Day Like This (Elbow), e confesso que ouvir um coral de dubladores cantando o nanana de Hey Jude me deixou completamente feliz, fora a parte de Jai Ho das Pussycat Dolls que ficou muito engraçada.
Ainda dá pra ajudar a campanha comprando o single físico ou baixando no iTunes caso você tenha cartão internacional, eu já encomendei o meu é claro, sigo Peter Kay aonde ele for, e claro que na maioria das vezes é pelos caminhos mais legais.

1.la riunione ha accolto positivamente la possibilità di rilasciare un’intervista al settimanale “vicenza più”. Ci si troverà, possibilmente tutti e tre, a casa del giornalista, martedì alle 18:00.

3.sempre nell’ottica di creare una scena creativa di condivisione, l’associazione organizzerà, grazie anche all’indispensabile collaborazione degli amici di Ruggine, un corso di editoria. Il corso sarà costruito per aumentare le conoscenze di editoria nelle persone e stimolarle nell’autoproduzione, sottinteso che promuoveremo programmi liberi, e tecniche fantasiose. Gli appuntamenti saranno organizzato a partire dal nuovo anno, con una scadenza di un incontro ogni due settimane, per circa due mesi (o il tempo necessario). Il corso sarà gratuito, ma i vari costi di materiali, per la produzione del proprio libro, saranno a carico degli interessati. Attendiamo la risposta del Tecchio per la disponibilità delle stanze.

4.dobbiamo fare dei nuovi volantini, sia per i corsi di serigrafia, sia per il sito di banchettodidisturbo.noblogs.org.

5.a fronte delle richieste di creare un’offerta che vada sempre di più in direzione delle diverse necessità delle persone, abbiamo creato un tariffario per chi ha già sostenuto il corso, o che già sa come fare. Il costo dei corsi rimane sempre di 60€ (tutto incluso comprese 5 magliette). Per chi sa già come fare, e quindi si accolla tutti i costi degli eventuali errori, l’associazione fornirà, per 30€, tutto il materiale necessario (gel fotosensibile q.b., telaio, ritelaiamento, racle, una maglietta, colore q.b.). Se dovesse essere necessaria un’ulteriore sessione di stampe, la serigrafia metterà a disposizione il necessario per 15€ (il telaio già impressionato, racla, una maglietta, colore q.b.).

6.si rilancia l’idea di fare un libretto di come crearsi una serigrafia casalinga. Si propone di puntare a un’edizione curata e possibilmente a colori, per dare una maggiore leggibilità alle foto presenti nel libretto.

7.si è discusso di fare una nuova ordinaizione per le magliette, in modo da rimpinguare l’armadio di magliette che offriamo, alle persone che producono le proprie opere presso di noi. Ordineremo da uomo 20 magliette taglia S e 20 taglia M; da donna 20 magliette taglia S e 20 taglia M. abbiamo deciso di prendere anche 20 felpe (10 taglia M e 10 taglia L). per chi le volesse.

8.lo statuto è quasi finito di essere ribattuto, Ale promette che, per giovedì 26 novembre lo porterà per la rilettura collettiva.

9.ci si metterà in contatto per partecipare a “brutti caratteri 6“.

10. i conti in sospeso tra serigrafi, sono stati finalmente estinti.

Porque a veces, aunque sea temprano, las legañas peguen mis pestañas, el estómago esté revuelto o esté de mal humor…merece la pena madrugar

I have been wanting to blog about this for ages!

When I began working at Hullabaloo Studios on what was then a secret project for CBBC – which is now known to be an adaptation of the Paul Stewart and Chris Riddell’s “Muddle Earth” book – I was told in no uncertain terms about another very secret project that NO ONE could be told about. Yep, the Peter Kay single. Over the last four months I have been privy to more backstage stuff than I could have ever imagined: Sitting between George and Zippy, eyeing up FAB 1 and Lady Penelope, being staggered by the real size of a Teletubbie (Tinky-Winky is about 8 feet tall all suited and booted) and actually being allowed to hold one of the Wombles.

It’s been really amazing. We all became acutely aware that something was happening when a muffled medley of original songs began to drone repeatedly about the building. This brought most of us out of our rooms and into the main area of the unit we work in. Imagine our surprise and joy to see an orange head with a zipped mouth and a pink hippo dancing just above a blue wall to this cacophony in front of a small camera crew. No sooner was the recording over than I had the pleasure of sitting between my two heros and, after an accidental impression of Zippy in front of him, getting a swift knock on the head from the zippered one.

Over the course of about three weeks, we got to see Muffin the Mule, the aforementioned Teletubbies, Thunderbirds, Postman Pat and Jess – in Pat 3, not Pat 1 unfortunately, the original Fireman Sam, Bob the builder, Andy Pandy and Tedy, Bagpuss, Little robots and so many more. An awful lot of people did an awful lot of work and produced something magical. I even managed to help out myself in a a tiny way. I created the lava in the lava lamp using Blender’s metaball system made to look like wax thanks to a liberal amount of Sub Surface scattering.

Here are three pictures taken at the tail end of the project when everyone was finishing up. Until this point, only official photographs were available. Apparently, I’ll get the one of me, Zippy and George tomorrow. Can’t Wait!

E grazie per avermi fatto superare anche la soglia dei 25 mila lettori, uno di questi giorni organizzo un party on line come quello per i 10 mila, promesso.

Kiki was cleaning out her stuff and left me a little surprise in the cupboard last night.  I really hated Teletubbies!

Last week, Gossip Girl sparked a national controversy with its highly publicized threesome episode. The ménage a trois between Dan, Vanessa, and Lizzy McGuire wasn’t rated NC-17, but it did prompt the Parents’ Television Council to release the following statement: “The CW Network’s behavior was grossly irresponsible by adding a story line where a sexual threesome was to be celebrated as some sort of ‘rite of passage’ for teenagers.”

The PTC, of course, assumes that TV can compel teens to have grossly irresponsible, drunken threesomes with former Disney stars. (This is the same group that blames violence on cop shows, and homosexuality on the purple Teletubby).  But, if TV can force savvy teenagers into triple sex with Triple Sec, then just imagine what it can do to soft-brained children!  The entire fate of our kids’ future could be determined by remote control roulette: if the channel lands on Ni Hao, Kai-Lan, our kids will end up with 4.0 GPAs and full rides to college… if the channel lands instead on Keeping up with the Kardashians, they’ll end up with huge asses and gold chains.

In my own personal experience, I attribute my Commie ties to hours of watching Sesame Street when growing up (“sharing is caring”).  My adoration for Ernie and Bert, the ambiguously gay duo, also led me to have a soft spot for guys with clashing outfits.  And from watching Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood, I naturally grew trusting of old men in cardigans who wanted to be my neighbor. (“Let’s watch Mr. Rogers slowly take off his cable-knit sweater!  Isn’t this fun?”)

So understandably, I fell victim to the power of television once again — after last week’s Gossip Girl episode, I immediately googled Shia LaBeouf to see if he might be interested in accomplishing a rite of passage.  I found out that the pilot episode of LaBeouf’s Disney hit Even Stevens was called “Swap”…  So, he’s in!  Anyone want to volunteer to be #3?

There are things that bother everyone, and there are things that bother only some, and there are also things that probably bother only me. I just noticed that I have quite a strange list of the things that bother, irritate, anger, or scare me. And here it is:

1. Slippery Pens

By slippery pens, I mean when I reach the point where I’ve been writing for so long that my fingers have begun to sweat. The sweat lubricates the pen, and my fingers slide down it. I always have this strange feeling that it is going to slide the skin right off my fingers.

2. Green Pants

To me, these are just so weird-looking on people that every time I see someone wearing a pair of these, I want to blow up a children’s hospital. For special kids.

3. Sacred Heart of Jesus pictures

Why did they give Jesus such freaky-looking eyes in that picture? I don’t think it’s the Catholic guilt I was raised with anymore.

4. Badly-engineered stairs

When I see steps that are imperfect, it makes me want to find a sledgehammer and break the shit out of the stairs.

5. Nipple-searing emoticons

You might ask, what the hell is a nipple-searing emoticon? Well, that’s what makes this pet peeve of mine so weird.

6. The Teletubbies

Now, this one, I might have in common with others, but still. Freaky shit.

I don’t know why I absolutely despise ChocNut with every cell in my body and to the very core of my being. I just do. It’s not the taste; it tastes like polvoron, which I like. I just hate it. To the very core of my being.

potete tentare su vari materiali, ogni supporto ha i suoi vantaggi e svantaggi. potete provare l’acetato, il foglio di carta lucida, fare un ritaglio sul cartoncino, o tutto ciò che vi suggerisce la fantasia, l’insuccesso è la base per raggiungere un progresso. noi però ci siamo organizzati per lavorare con i fogli di acetato trasparente, quindi venite con questi.

devo fare una stampa su questo foglio di acetato?

no, non è da stampare con una normale stampante. bisogna fare una fotocopia di buona qualità, in cui anche in traparenza, il nero sia veramente omogeneo e il più scuro possibile. se non riuscite ad avere una buona fotocopia, o nell’incertezza, fatene due, uguali, che poi sovrapporremo, rendendo il nero più impenetrabile alla luce. oppure potete ritoccare le parti meno nere, colorando con un pennarello nero ad alcool, o una penna a china, nel retro del foglio. sconsigliamo per questa operazione di usare pennarelli acrilici, perchè non “prendono” sull’acetato rendendo quindi la correzione meno omogenea e in più, tende a “graffiarsi”.

quanto grande deve essere l’immagine?

più la stampa è piccola, più sarà facile. tenete conto che comunque non è un grosso problema stampare da fogli A4 o A3. ma gli A3 fanno fatica a starci in una stampa classica sulle taglie più piccole (soprattutto nelle taglie da donna S e XS).

cos’è una stampa classica?

le normali stampe dritte nel fronte. altre soluzioni (sul fianco, colletti, maniche, ecc.) vanno valutate. siamo contenti quando qualcuno vuole sperimentare qualcosa di nuovo. qualsiasi sia il risultato finale. non garantiamo la riuscita, garantiamo che ci daremo da fare, per far si che la persona impari come si fa.

posso veramente stampare qualsiasi foto?

si, potete stampare qualsiasi cosa, l’importante è che ci crediate e che sia un’immagine al tratto. si dice “al tratto” di un’immagine fotografica o disegnata dove tutti gli elementi sono al 100% di nero, senza livelli di grigio. ci sono vari modi di convertire con gimp un’immagine a colori e sfumature, in una fascinosa immagine al tratto. sarebbe bello che non riproduceste quello che già esiste, ma che proponeste materiale vostro.

quanto dura in realtà il corso?

per il momento, siamo sempre riusciti a fare il tutto, in un paio d’ore.

oltre alle magliette che mi date… posso stamparmene altre?

certo! siamo molto contenti se ve ne portate da casa, o ne acquistate altre da noi. ci piacerebbe ancora di più, che riuscite a procurarvi delle magliette, usate, o anche già stampate. se avete uno scatolone di magliette avanzate da qualche evento di cui siete riusciti a impossessarvi, vi daremo molto volentieri una mano a trovare la soluzione migliore per coprire o fare dell’antipub.

ci sono degli indumenti che devo indossare in particolare?

l’abito dal taglio elegante e le mani curate sono apprezzate anche in una fucina creativa come la nostra serigrafia, per cui forniamo i mezzi per proteggere anche i vestiti più delicati con un simpatico camice, e le mani le assicuriamo alla protezione di robusti guanti vinilici anallergici. può essere che ci si bagnino le scarpe… o al massimo che si macchino… come anche tutto ciò che non si riesce a far star sotto il camice… però il camice è una novità, abbiamo sempre vestito normalmente, con stile, senza eccessi, e senza usare camici, o abiti da serigrafia… e non ci siamo “mai” sporcati.

Hej alla glada! Och ledsna också så klart! Ja, vad har hänt? Jo, det ska jag ta och berätta! Philip har varit och hälsat på mer än han brukar de senaste dagarna. Vilket har kännts finemang! Han är så energigivande och skojig! Man får sig alltid ett gott skratt med den gossen! Så jag hoppas att han gör det till en ny vana att hälsa på oftare!

I morse ringde jag till MVC för mina blödningar slutade inte förrän igår. Så nu jag ska dit på en undersökning på fredag eftersom jag under tiden jag hade blödningar började blöda mer vid ansträngning vilket jag inte har gjort tidigare. Sen åkte jag till skolan och pratade med kvinnan från finsam. Det kändes bättre idag för att jag inte var lika nervös. Och vi pratade om saker och ting som har varit svårt för mig, och om att jag måste bestämma mig för att inte längre låta saker och ting i mitt förflutna få fortsätta att förstöra för mig. Jag försöker släppa all skit som hände för ca 10 år sedan och sluta grubbla. De minnena och den tiden har redan förstört 10 år för mig och det räcker! Just nu känns det som att jag kommer att klara det eftersom att jag är på ett strålande humör! Jag vet inte ens varför jag är på så bra humör. Men varför måste det finnas en anledning till allt? Det är väl bara bra om jag kan få vara på strålande humör utan anledning för enh gångs skull! Jag ser väldigt positivt på mina möten, jag ska dit igen om en vecka. De ger mig energi och viljan att må bättre.

I dag i bilen på väg hem från Smedjebacken sa Gaia: En dag i heletubbies (teletubbies) land hitta Lala en vattenkanna. Min lilla tjej har blivit så stor och duktig! Det är den längsta meningen hon någonsin har sagt!

En annan sak som har gjort mig på bra humör är att jag har skrivit en ny dikt idag. En knasig, flummig, och ganska lång dikt. Jag börjar närma mig en diktsamling! Sen gäller det bara att ta modet till sig och skicka iväg den. Det blir nog inte så lätt med tanke på att det inte bara är några ihopkastade fantasier utan en del av mitt innersta.

In the middle of a celebration of its 40th anniversary on the air, a conservative blogger this week accused the long-running children’s show, “Sesame Street” of being slanted towards political liberalism. At contention is a two-year-old segment in which an imaginary cable news channel known as “POX News” was defined as “trashy” and more worthy of watching because it was grouchier than another imaginary channel, GNN, “The Grouchy News Network.”

A blog known as Big Hollywood criticized GNN’S founder, Oscar the Grouch, as being “one more solider to the Left’s War on Fox News.”

The same blog entry later dug up at decade-old whine about the Teletubbies, noting that “…One can be forgiven for taking a second look at that Teletubby with the purse… He DOES seem a little gay, doesn’t he?

After about 800 fretful words about the left-wing bias of Sesame Street, the Teletubbies, Anderson Cooper, NPR and the NEA, the right-wing blog wound up by reassuringly patting itself on the back, noting that “we have the cool kids on our side,” including über conservative crybaby Glenn Beck and self-satisfied professional snark Dennis Miller.
