West Texas Holiday: Part 2 (Big Bend)

Wow. Wow. Wow.  If you haven’t been to Big Bend and you REALLY want to get away from it all, it’s completely worth the trip.  Big Bend is a photographer’s dream and is one of the most remote areas of the lower 48 states and a long way from major population centers — the closest commercial airport is 4 hours away in Midland/Odessa.   549 more words

The cemetery in Terlingua, monuments to those gone before. This is a living cemetery, people are still being buried here and Dia de Los Muertos is still celebrated every year.
