Jag visste att det skulle vara värt att vänta lite med att köpa denna filmen, och mycket riktigt, här är en lite coolare utgåva än en simpel 1-disc version.

I love it when other people share their insights about me because from them I learned that I’m a very interesting person to talk about and that I thank them for making me famous . For others, those nasty comments should be something to be alarmed about but for me, Hell No!!! They just prove themselves wrong, if I am indeed a B#%^@  why talk about me? you see it’s a sign of INSECURITY, they scrutinize others in order to gain attention, because they are not intelligent or gorgeous enough to get their own limelight, they are using me to gain/direct others attention to them (so unfortunate I get all the credit).. do I feel used? NO!!! definitely not… why? becuase it only shows me their true color….. black that is… hehehehehe

Als Ubiquitous Computing oder Rechnerallgegenwart wird die Durchdringung aller Lebensbereiche mit rechnergestützter Informationsverarbeitung bezeichnet. Das Wort ist teilweise synonym mit dem Begriff Internet der Dinge, aber noch umfassender in seiner Bedeutung, weil es als Konzept die ganze Interaktion zwischen Mensch und Maschine beinhaltet und nicht nur die Seite der “Hardware”.

Ubiquitous Computing

Wenn es nach dieser Vision geht, dann sollen Gegenstände in unserer Umgebung zunehmend mit Computerintelligenzen ausgestattet und untereinander vernetzt werden. Wir als Benutzer dieser Gegenstände sollen uns aber deswegen nicht ständig mit komplizierten Bedienungsanleitungen für jedes dieser Objekte herumplagen müssen, sondern uns im Optimalfall gar nicht großartig darum kümmern müssen, dass wir es mit intelligenten Gegenständen zu tun haben, weil die Handhabung so intuitiv aufgebaut ist oder die Gegenstände überhaupt gleich automatisiert funktionieren und uns helfen. Als Beispiel dafür soll an dieser Stelle wieder einmal der oft von mir zititierte intelligente Kühlschrank herhalten, der selbstständig Menüvorschläge aus den vorhandenen Lebensmitteln zusammenstellt und seine Besitzer warnt, wenn ein Produkt sein Ablaufdatum erreicht.

Mark Weiser, der Erfinder des Ubiquitous Computing, meinte: „Im 21. Jahrhundert wird die technologische Revolution das Alltägliche, Kleine und Unsichtbare sein.“ Nach der Ära der riesigen Großcomputer der ersten Jahre, an denen viele Forscher gemeinsam arbeiteten, und der Ära der Personal Computer, wo jeder an einem eigenen Rechner arbeitet, soll nun mit der Rechnerallgegenwart eine dritte Ära beginnen, in der viele Computer für einen Menschen arbeiten. Nachdem ich gerade gestern Terminator 4 auf DVD abgesehen habe, erzeugt diese Vorstellung zumindest ein paar paranoide Gedanken in meinem Kopf .

Yes, Mad Max 4 is coming and Sam Worthington (Gettin Square, Terminator 4, Avatar) looks set to don Mel Gibson’s leathers… 

No one knows what the plot could be and its rumoured that Sam Worthington will play Mad Max.  Rumoured or not, he seems a shoe-in for the role.  There is also speculation that the original Mad Max, Mel Gibson; could also be involved. 

According to news.com, the next Mad Max installment is being filmed entirely in Sydney and Outback NSW injecting tens of millions of dollars into the economy and creating more than 500 jobs.

Mad Max 4 is set to realease in 2011 and will be directed by Australian Director, George Miller (Mad Max, Mad Max 2, Mad Max 3, Lorenzo’s Oil).  Charlize Theron is rumoured to star as the lead female.

The original Mad Max was filmed in 1979, followed by Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior 1981 and Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome in 1985.  Mad Max shot Mel Gibson into super stardom.

Tina Turner even starred opposite Mel Gibson is the third Mad Max film and brought out a song on the soundtrack: “We Don’t Need Another Hero“.

We’re excited!

*Summer Movie Catchup is where I try to look at some of the movies I saw over the summer and try to pin down a review, sometimes months later.

Star Trek

I was never a Trekkie. In fact I kind of avoided all Star Trek product for my 22 years of existence. All that changed when I saw JJ Abrams’ new ‘requel’ Star Trek. I became a fan afterwords, immediately getting a hold of Wrath of Khan and the first season of The Original Series.  Call me a convert mainly because the new movie is a fun, action sci-fi movie. And it’s something I wish the Star Wars Prequels should’ve been.

The cast of characters makes the movie work. The plot is really a non-factor, which has to do with an evil Romulan (Eric Bana) out to kill Spock (played by both Zachary Quinto and Leonard Nimoy).  The time space continuum gets f’d up along the way, thus ‘resetting’ all previous events and making everything make sense, kind of. But, like I said, the characters makes the movie work. Chris Pine plays a suitable Captain Kirk, both emulating him and playing for laughs. Quinto’s Spock is just a good, minus the laughs, which makes sense. Every supporting player pulls his or her weight. Stand outs included Simon Pegg, who once again almost steals the show in a JJ Abrams movie. Also, the lovely Zoe Saldana as Uhura adds a nice love triangle angle angle to the proceedings.

Abrams, here, is all about the flashes, the shaky cams, and the lens flares. There are instances where he overdoes it, and it does become distracting. But, overall I think Abrams is on his way to become a better director. Mission: Impossible: III was basically Alias: The Movie in many ways, and I was worried that he couldn’t break away from his television roots. But here, Abrams made a huge summer blockbuster that actually felt like a huge summer blockbuster. Hopefully, he stays on track and does an even better job on his next film.

So, for a non-Trekkie like me, the movie was a fun movie and it’s the way I like my summer blockbusters.

Terminator: Salvation

Sigh. I can only be forgiving for so long…

Like so many, I’ve been a super fan of the Terminator franchise, and when I say that I mean the first two movies. Yes, the first movies are classics. The first Terminator was ground breaking and Judgment Day helped mold many of childhoods. The third one didn’t help matters much, but I belief, unlike many, that Rise of the Machines was far from a disaster.  There were moments of absolute absurdity in the film but overall I was satisfied with the top notch action and attempts at keeping the continuity.  I can also say the same about the TV show, The Sarah Connor Chronicles. I enjoyed the call backs and homages to the first two films. How can you not enjoy Summer Glau dressed in the T-1000 cop uniform? But it also came with its share of flaws. The years following Judgment Day have not brought stellar Terminator product, to say the least.

Could Christian Bale and McG bring the franchise back to great heights…no, the answer is clearly no.

It was very surprising that one of the only things holding this movie from being a complete failure is the work of director McG, who’s stage name sounds like something you’d order with a side of fries. He brings a sense of realism and clarity to the action sequences. Although you cant help but say that a few shots were ‘inspired’ by other directors. Take a look at the John Connor’s helicopter escape in the first few minutes of the movie. A long continuous shot brings to mind Alfonso Cuaron’s work in Children of Men. And you can’t help but think of Michael Bay when the film’s best action sequence plays. A giant robot is involved, as it chases out heroes in a well down action sequence. In retrospect, I can say it was the best giant robot action scene of the summer. It was the most level-headed, anyway.

The action scenes are good, yes, but the story around them just doesn’t work. Word was that The Dark Knight scribe Jonathon Nolan helped with the re-writes. I’m sorry to say, it didn’t help. You can see where Salvation tries to be The Dark Knight. It tries to inject some brains into this two hour action sci-fi movie, but it never really works. John Connor’s story line hinders the movie’s other better storyline revolving around Sam Worthington’s character. What could have been a movie more in the realm of Spielberg’s  A.I., unfortunately turns out to be a movie that turns out to be a rehash of the The Matrix Revolutions.

Bale plays John Connor, the one character you’re suppose to care about and I just didn’t care. How can you really when you know he’s the one person you know is not going to get killed. He just zombies his way through the movie and honestly I would’ve preferred Nick Stahl, or even Edward Furlong. They at least brought some life to Connor. I can say the same for his better half,  Bryce Dallas Howard. Claire Danes in the third movie.

Helena Bonham carter is in the movie for about five minutes, so it’s basically a cameo, which is a disappointment for me. Other actors like Common, Moon Bloodgood (who?), and Anton Yelchin are dim lights just playing the stereotypical roles in every sci-fi action movie. The exception is Sam Worthington who is the only bright spot. If the movie had succeeded in all aspects Worthington would’ve been rising star actor to watch of the summer.

So, my advice, let’s pump the breaks here. Lets let the Terminator franchise cool for the next few years. There is talk that Mr. Joseph McGinty Nichol is already prepping another movie, this time moving the future war into modern day London, sounds interesting but then again we all thought a movie with Christian Bale as John Conner sounded great. From here on end, the only way I’ll ever really get excited about a new Terminator movie is if James Cameron returned to write and director. It’s been too apparent now that Cameron is really the only person out there who can recreated the greatness of the first two movies.

So, please, the last thing I want to see is another McG directed Terminator movie.

Bonus: Sam Worthington looks back at Terminator 4.

Una pelicula para dominguear, que no requiere de mucha atencion y que deja un buen sabor de boca para los fanz de la serie, con frases como I’ll be back y la cantidad de robots que salen, la trama es emocionante aunque muy predecible y la sorpresa casi al final de la pelicula te quita una carcajada o te pone una sonrisa minimo, la verdad mis expecatativas eran muy bajas por lo que sali contento del cine y les puedo asegurar que disfrutaran de  esta pelicula.

La pelicula nos cuenta la busqueda de  Connor por su padre y de como esperan darle un gran golpe a una de las bases de operacion de skynet, todo se desarrolla en el futuro no muy lejano años despues de que el dia del juicio llegara. Se muestra tambien como esta organizada la gente y como buscan sobrevivir a toda costa aunque en terminos muy rapidos. La vida es un poco al estilo de Mad max o Waterworld.

Calificacion 4 codos de oro

Hoy otra vez es miercoles de SAGA podcast, en esta ocasión la SAGA fué a ver Terminator Salvation, la cual llegó a México con varios meses de retraso gracias a nuestra pequeña pandemia pero la espera solo hizo que algunos nos sintieramos mas decepcionados por la película, ademas dimos nuestra trivia y opinion de las noticias llamativas de la semana.

La saga de Terminator es todo un icono en el mundo del cine,  poniéndonos un futuro en el cual nuestra propia tecnologia nos va a dar en nuestra propia y literal “madre” como algunas otras interesantes como YO ROBOT de Isaac Asimov, y la maravillosa MATRIX.

Terminator me pareció excelente a sus inicios ya que manejaba los “viajes en el tiempo” y la probabilidad que el destino no existe “NO FATE”  robots asesinos, disparos, explosiones y toda la tecnologia de punta de la época en las que se filmaron, fué todo un deleite visual.

La “paradoja” de que Kyle Resse un joven del futuro tenga que venir a “salvar y embarazar” a Shara Connor en el pasado para que asi pueda nacer él mismo… no tuvo abuela.

Terminator 4 “salvation” tiene varias cosas que hacen que realmente valga la pena verla y más aun si eres fan, apesar de muchas criticas y según la falta de guión de John Connor es una de esas peliculas para pasar bien el rato con tu familia, tu perro o tu novi@. Cuenta con un sonido excelente, el filtro visual es parecido al de “300″ de Frank Miller  un “Bleach By Pass” con tonos dorados.

La calidad de los efectos de los robots es de igual manera algo muy bien logrado, tal vez hizo falta mas variedad de locaciones y mucha más duración para haber sido tan larga espera de una pelicula a la otra pero bue… vamos a lo interesante.

La Historia y la Crítica (Spoiler):

Iniciamos con un flash back de lo que es la historia de Marcus, un hombre que antes de ser ejecutado dona su cuerpo a Cyberdine para investigación cientifica, pero ya sabemos para que ocupara su cuerpo esta caona corporacion no? jejeje, años mas tarde nos encontramos con John Connor adulto infiltrándose en una base de Skynet , la cual vuela en mil pedazos tras descubrir el nuevo modelo de Terminators T-800, Marcus hace su aparición saliendo de las ruinas de la base con su ultimo recuerdo que fue la cama de operaciones en la cual le dicen que tendra una segunda oportunidad.

Aqui empieza la aventura de estos dos personajes, que a mi parecer se la lleva cañon Marcus,  la actuacion de Bale es genial pero el Terminator tiene mas puntos y frases a su favor, la doctora (novia de John) es lindísima.. aawwww La aparicion de Arnold 20 años más joven es de las partes más padres de la pelicula.

Lo Malo:

1.- Al inicio los lideres de la resistencia hacen mención sobre una “Lista” que tiene Skynet tiene para eliminar humanos, mi pregunta es… ¿Porque está John Connor en 2do sitio si se supone que Skynet no sabe aún de su existencia y aún no es lider de la Resistencia en su contra?
2.- ¿Porque Kyle Resse está en esa lista si era un simple civil  normal? Obvio que tenian que enlazarlos para que se encontraran pero aqui no hay razon para que esten en esa mentada lista “aun”.
3.- Marcus al conectarse con Skynet desactiva una sola torre de seguridad para que John pueda entrar, y llega un helicoptero a rescatar a todos los humanitos que liberó nuestro heroe, ¿y los demás Terminators? y las demás torres? el trinche helicoptero entra como en su casa, no hay ninguna baja y misteriosamente la Megaseguridad del complejo es completamente nula, Skynet se lo deja todo a el T-800 O_o?  porque no desplegó a todos sus robots, al enorme del principio? weno tal ves pido mucho…

Hubiera sido genial una batalla más, y un John un pokito mas machin!! si señor!!!

En fin, yo si la recomiendo, la segunda me la imagino estará poca mad… venga T5!

Bueeeno, pues aqui otra vez para una de las pelis que mas me llamaba la atencion de este 2009 despues de la impagable Watchmen o Transformers 2, otra peli en la que Christian Bale me encanta y hace que me olvide de anteriores entregas, paso con Batman y ocurre de nuevo con:

TERMINATOR: SALVATION

Bien, para empezar la critica y para quien no lo sepa, el director de TS es Joseph “McG” McGinty Nichol, el mismo que, entre otras cosas de mayor o menor calidad hizo las dos (en mi opionion NEFASTAS) pelicula-remakes de Los Angeles de Charlie.

Una vez dicho esto y despues de haber visto otra mierda como Terminator 3 o la serie de las cronicas de Sarah Connor os preguntareis cosas como “Rub me suicido ya o espero a que C.Bale acepte que en realidad es la rana gustavo?.

Pues no, la pelicula no es para suicidarse ni mucho menos, es una peli de accion interesante, con efectos especiales en momentos apoteosicos y en otros…malos a secas. Tiene un guion regulero del que ya hablare mas adelante pero que en una escala 1-10 pondria un 5 y porque sale C. Bale, imaginad como de malo sera el guion para sumarle puntos solo porque salga un actor que a mi me parece cojonudo xDDD

Porque Bale es lo que tiene, da igual que sea un Yuppie Psicopata, un currela de una fabrica perturbado, un jodido mago o el puto Batman, es que es el puto amo y ya esta.

Y sobre TS (Que parece que la entrada es porque este enamorado de Bale o algo coño xDDDD) como digo, momentos muy bestias, un guion que se salva por los pelos de ser pasto de las llamas y en general es una peli que deja entrever que va a haber secuela (Incluso hay quien ya habla de trilogia)

Y bueno, me voy a poner a destripar la peli asi que si no quereis que os joda la peli simplemente dejad de leer a partir de aqui y si no…haced caso al bueno de Christian.

Cosas frikeras de la saga que me han gustado:

- Chuache, con la musica de “Aqui estoy yo para matarte” y canteando lo digital que es y lo poco que lo han usado (DOS PLANOS) para lo que le habran pagado por los derechos de imagen, si, pero el momento mola y mucho.

Aqui me digitalizaron bien

Aqui…no tanto xDDDD

- Todo el rato despues del momento Chuache que esta peleandose a puñetazos con el T-800 es casi CLAVADO a la pelea del final de Terminator 1, solo que esta vez no cantea que el T-800 es un torso sin piernas y peleando como lo haria un Playmobil, pero coño!, que aquello eran los 80!!!.

- La cancion que esta oyendo Connor mientras  le esta poniendo la trampa a la Moto-terminator, es la misma que esta oyendo la primera vez que aparece en la 2, cuando le dice al padre aquello de “Ella no es mi madre Todd” y se pira con el colega rubiales…

El grupo en cuestion: Guns & Roses y el Tema You cold be mine

- El momento en el que revienta el tanque de fundicion y ni le salpica una gota a Bale…para despues repetir lo del momento mercurio con el T-1000 de T2…vale, eso es mierda. Pero lo de HAZLOOOOO HIIIIIJO DE LA GRAN PUTAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA, mientras le quema la cara, para mi, es mitico.

- En esta escena, John Connor (Con cierto aire de mania persecutoria paranoide) le echa un discurso a Marcus, que si sois unos hijoputas, que si intentasteis matar a mi vieja (Aunque en las cronicas decian que murio de Leucemia..ya me joderia) que si sois unos unos cabrones etc etc…y entonces, momento cumbre (por lo absurdo que es xD):

- Matasteis a mi padre, Kyle Reese, no vas a matarme.

- Kyle Reese esta en un transporte que se dirige a Skynet, si yo quisiera matarle, lo habria hecho en L.A.

- … (8 segundos de plano con Connor a cuadros y sin saber donde esconderse de la verguenza xDD)

- Cosas y absurdeces de Guion que no me han gustado.

– El guion en general consistente en: somos Skynet, los putos amos y arrasamos con todo PEEEEEEEEEERO John Connor es Chuck Norris y aunque las maquinas llevamos tantos años detras de el no lo matamos, ademas coño, es que somos tan bobas que  ni nos empapamos de como se nos cuela en la central… aunque claro es un plan de Marla Singer que es la jefa … (que ibamos a esperar de una tia que segun Tyler Durden “Folla por deporte” ???).

- Como jefa virtual Skynet tiene a Marla Durden, nada de la tia que recordaba con cancer noooo no no, porque si recordais en el final le dice a Marcus la Ultrapocopredecible sorpresa girada de trama:

- Los calculos procesan que este rostro es el que mejor procesas.

Peeeero, como cojones la va a procesar con pelo si la conocia pelada como un melon por el cancer???? xDDDDD

- Ese mismo guion que arregla lo inutil k es con aquello tan simple de “sorpresa! te programamos para estoooooo!!!! (Y que John Conor Norris lo sospecha si, pero le usa bastante bien a su favor, tanto que se queda con su corazon ?¿?¿?¿ xDDDDD)

- No se sabe quien es mas Terminator si los de Skynet o el Propio Connor-Norris, porque la de ostias que se lleva, que no son pocas,  y que le ATRAVIESEN ENTERO y solo le dañen el corazon y le reparen poniendole el de Marcus ahi a pelo, sin pruebas de compatibilidad ni ostias … es MUY TOCHO.

- En conclusion.

Terminator Salvation no pretende ser una peli mitica, pero por lo menos no se queda en una simple y patetica parodia de las 2 primeras como hiciera Terminator 3. Simplemente creo que querian que la saga siguiese porque como tantas otras sagas da dinero y por eso mismo, aqui comienza un cambio de rumbo para hacer las pelis que quieran sin estar necesariamente a la sombra de lo que fue en su dia, sino llevando una historia de supervivencia humana etc etc…

Aun asi se como se podrian haber currado un poco mas el guion mi puntuacion se queda en:

8-10

(Que conste, si no hubiera estado C.Bale hubiera sido un 6,5 xDD)

Creo que no hace falta aclarar que estas son MIS opiniones y que no se un carajo de cine o literatura XD, solo se me dio por opinar sobre las pelis que veía y también del libro de T!

“Terminator Salvation” the fourth film in the Terminator series has turned out to be the worst among all. This action franchise was launched in 1984 as low budget sci-fi movie by director James Cameron and star Arnold Schwarzenegger. Arnold made the character of Terminator immortal in audiences’ minds. So the question with this Terminator was – how would the new Director McG pull off the fourth film without the man known as The Terminator now that he’s morphed into The Governor.

After watching the movie you get the answer that he can’t and he hasn’t.

Most of the running time has been occupied by action sequences like motor-cycle, helicopter, fighter plane, towering android sequences and fistfights. It gives you a feel and pleasure of a videogame without the bother of having to play it. The movie is brutally-efficient, thunderously atrocious and loaded with high-tech weapons.

It’s as frozen an unemotional as its uni-named director.

What obstructs Terminator Salvation is the lack of two trademarks of Camerons Terminator films, details that are related to each other. One is the dominance of a strong female character. Where Sarah Connor was shown as a tough lady, here we get to see John Connors pregnant wife Kate (Bryce Dallas Howard,) and a bit of butt-kicking from a Resistance fighter (Moon Bloodgood), who makes friends with Wright.

The other missing part is the humanity and emotions related to it. It seems McG is too heavy-handed or too captivated with the action figures to give a lighter touch to his movie.Writers, John Brancato and Michael Ferris (who also wrote the third part, Terminator: Rise of the Machines), split the focus into two threads one relating John Connor (Christian Bale, tough and terse), the veteran Resistance fighter, and the other introducing new character Marcus Wright (played by Sam Worthington), who emerges from a SkyNet experiment lab not sure how he got there.

All in all we can say that Terminator Salvation is a good-looking but frivolous entry from a director who favors style over substance.
