Am Mittwoch, den 09.12.2009 findet um 19:30 Uhr im Gasthaus „Mohren“ in Ravensburg eine Vortragsveranstaltung statt. Auf Einladung des ISUV e.V. spreche ich zum Thema „Wie vererbe ich mein Kind“.

An diesem Abend wird der Frage nachgegangen, was mit den Kindern geschieht, wenn den Eltern oder dem allein erziehenden Elternteil etwas zustößt.

Gerade Alleinerziehende stellen sich oftmals der Fragestellung, was im schlimmsten Falle alles geschehen könnte. Gibt es hier Möglichkeiten, vorsorgend tätig zu werden ? Was hat der Gesetzgeber für diesen Fall vorgesehen ? Kann hier vielleicht in einem Testament die weitere elterliche Sorge bindend übertragen werden ? Welche Rolle spielt der getrennt lebende oder gar geschiedene Ehepartner ? Was ist im Falle einer nichtehelichen Lebensgemeinschaft zu beachten ?

Diese und andere Themen rund um die elterliche Sorge beim Todesfall des sorgeberechtigten Elternteils werden an diesem Abend behandelt werden. Ich gebe hierbei einen Überblick über die aktuelle Gesetzeslage und die entsprechenden Vorsorgemöglichkeiten.
Wie immer bei den ISUV-Themenabenden soll die rege Diskussion mit dem interessierten Publikum einen breiten Raum einnehmen.

O guitarrista do Testament, Alex Skolnick, é o produtor do primeiro álbum do Acrassicauda (banda de Heavy Metal do Iraque que já citei aqui).

Em Março de 2010, a Vice Records (que produziu o documentário sobre o Acrassicauda) lançará o primeiro EP dos caras que terá o nome “Only the Dead See the End of the War”. Além da produção de Skolnick, a mixagem será feita pelo engenheiro de som Josh Wilbur (que já mixou álbuns do Lamb of God, Hatebreed e System of a Down).

While it isn’t exactly the mega historic tour featuring the big four (Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer and Anthrax) everyone was gossiping about, getting half of that lineup is still pretty unbelievable. Tickets officially went on sale last week for the American Carnage Tour featuring Slayer, Megadeth and Testament. The landmark tour will be taking place this coming January and February. Slayer and Megadeth already did the unthinkable by performing together (despite their slew of heated words for one another) on mini tours in Canada and Australia/New Zealand. So we can thank god that they are giving U.S. fans the chance to see both thrash titans share the stage once again. I myself have already purchased my ticket for their stop in Lowell, MA on February 14 (best part: I only spent a little above $10 for good seats!!! Haha).

Seeing Megadeth and Slayer on their own (let alone together) is enough to make fans storm to a venue. Combine the two with Testament … well HELLZ YEAH! As amazing as this lineup is though, I personally would have liked to have seen one more act added. Not that this line up needs another act to make it any better (umm, did I tell you that Megadeth, Slayer and Testament are playing together?!). However, it would be cool to see the elder gods of metal pass the torch to an up and coming metal band, as a way to put the spotlight on the future of metal.

So who should be the fourth addition who represents the new generation amongst a line up of legends? Well here are a few suggestions of likely candidates and bands I simply would love to see added:

-Machine Head: These guys would probably be everyone’s first choice for multiple reasons. 1. Machine Head already took part in Slayer and Megadeth’s previous tours. 2. Both Slayer and Megadeth have praised them not stop for their greatness. 3. fans simply cannot get enough of them (rightfully so) And 4. to simply put it: THEY ARE AWSOME!!! The only reason why they probably wouldn’t take part in this tour is because they have been touring non-stop for the past 3 years (you name the band, they probably were on tour with them recently). As much as I love The Blackening, I’d recommend that the band takes a tiny rest and record another great album. The more music from Machine Head the better!

-Shadows Fall: These guys would probably be one of my first choices. Hot off of their latest release Retribution, the boys from Mass have proven that they are ready to be the next big metal icons. Being part of such a major tour would be great exposure to a band who put on a top-notch show and have grown as musicians and song writers. Hopefully the band will get on Mayhem Fest next year (maybe we could also start a campaign to get them on this tour? I’d be down to push!).

-Suicide Silence: These guys would be a likely choice because they also served as openers (along with Machine Head) on Slayer and Megadeth’s previous tours this past year. They are an up and coming band who has received both critical and fan praise for their music and live show.

-God Forbid: Call me biased, but I would love to see my fellow NJ thrashers on such a line up. Not only do they put on an energy packed show, but they have continue to grow musically (I dare you to listen to their latest release Earthsblood and tell me it isn’t spectacular). God Forbid is a band that should be amongst the top of their generation (always just shy of getting the rightful exposure), and being a part of this tour would help get them there faster.

-Devildriver: Mixing melody with hardcore death metal, Devildriver has always stood out amongst the crowd. Always releasing incredible albums (listen to their recent release Pray For Villains asap!), they have always been just shy of getting the exposure they deserve. With their intense live shows, Devildriver would have made a great addition to an already amazing tour. Sadly, these guys will definitely not be apart of this tour for they just announced a tour with Suffocation that will occur during the same time. A shame, but hell: a Devildriver and Suffocation tour is pretty awesome as well!!!

-High On Fire: These guys are also likely candidates for being a late addition since they were rumored to be on the lineup before the American Carnage tour was confirmed (only to not be included in the official press release). While they wouldn’t be my first choice, High On Fire are a great band and know how to put on a hell of a show. Plus, with their sludge metal sound, the band would stand out in a lineup filled with thrash metal.

-Trivium: Admit it, once you saw the name in front of this you screamed out loud “Oh Hell Yeah!”. Trivium’s mix of screaming and melodic thrash would be a perfect addition to this tour (maybe too perfect if that’s possible). Add in their powerful performance (see my review of their show in Worcester, MA) and you’d get even the pickiest old metal fans believing they saw the second coming. As perfect as this may seem, this addition may be unlikely for Trivium announced the most recent leg of Into The Mouth Of Hell We Tour as their last tour in support of the album Shogun. Then again, I would probably change around my schedule if I got offered to open for Slayer AND Megadeth.

-The Black Dahlia Murder: After seeing them on Mayhem Fest this past summer, I have been hooked. Black Dahlia Murder’s music and performance would simply make them a great addition to such a lineup. ENOUGH SAID!

-Chimaira: The boys from Cleveland, Ohio would tear the stage apart night after night (see my review of their opening slot at Trivium’s show for more on their awsome live performance). With its mix of sludge and hardcore, Chimaira would stand out amongst the lineup of legends. Additionally, Slayer guitarist Kerry King has praised them many times over the past few years (thus making their chances a lot stronger).

So these are who I would suggest to be the new addition to an already amazing bill. To repeat, I am not saying that the American Carnage Tour needs to acquire an additional band (the three thrash gods are wwaayy more than enough). I am just saying it would be cool to see a newer band get the chance to be exposed to a wider audience.

Todo mundo sabe (tá, todo mundo não, só os metaleiros por dentro das fofocas) da antiga “rixa” entre Megadeth e Slayer. E todo mundo já tá careca de saber que Dave Mustaine e Kerry King se amam, mas esse ano o amor pegou fogo quando eles saíram juntos em turnê no Canadá (a Canadian Carnage) e irá entrar em combustão ano que vem quando iniciarem a American Carnage, que conta com o Testament de brinde.

Todo mundo especulou sobre uma turnê dos “Big Four” do Thrash Metal (Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer e Anthrax), o que não rolou, mas essa turnê vai ser foda de qualquer jeito (pena que não pretendem nem passar pela fronteira do México).

They were talking about… nu-metal??? Yes, nu-metal. Frigging hell mallcore stuff like Slipknot and Marilyn Manson. There were even people who mentioned Linkin Park and Flyleaf.

Seriously! There was nothing on it but mallcore. -.-

Next one was a blog. He was talking about Slipknot and how much he likes them and on another blog was an article on Myanmar metal scene and the author was talking about Bullet For My Valentine, Avenged Sevenfold and Trivium. Frigging Metalcore.

Why can’t they just get out of this whole mallcore thing??? Why won’t they step deeper into the depths? WHY?????

There were even some people who said,”Slipknot is Death Metal”. Ya, go die. It pisses me off when I hear people saying crap like that.

Mallcore, Nu-metal, Metalcore, BFMV, A7X, Marilyn Manson, BMTH, blah blah blah and it goes on and on and on in a never finishing mallcore whirlpool. This is what’s happening  in Myanmar!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Metal albums aren’t that rare anymore. You can pretty much buy them here. (Last week I got Black Sabbath:The Dio Years and Megadeth’s Endgame.) Or you can download them via Mediafire or 4shared (which I usually do).

Still people are still drowning in the mallcore whirlpool… labeling themselves “metalheads” with Slipknot songs in their mp3 players.

It’s time to ditch out mallcore people! Ditch it out and explore into the depths of Metal!

Sometimes its more difficult than others to read the signs. For instance (because this is my latest obsessive compulsive thought), I’ve been planning for a month or more to upgrade mine and my husband’s cell phones in December. We have been Palm users for a couple of years, now, (not counting the original Palm Pilots that were not phones, also) so were originally planning to move to the Palm Pre. Then we started researching the apps, battery life, durability, and countless other nit-picks about every smart phone on the market and are now right back at square one. Actually, as of this postingm, we aren’t even at square one, we’re behind square one…and its frustrating and heck! How am I supposed to stop obsessing about cell phones (to upgrade, not to upgrade, what to upgrade to if we go through with said upgrade) when the issue is not being resolved?

OK, so I decided the answer to my obsession was prayer. That’s certainly logical. Now that I really think that God cares what phone I have or don’t have, but I’m pretty sure He still knows what’s best for me and which phone will help more and which will hinder more, if you know what I mean. So, I prayed. Yes, I prayed about cell phones. I know, I know.

So, I arose from my prayer time over cell phones completely at ease with whatever came my way. That if it was best for us to keep the phones we have for now and make no change, that I wouldn’t pout. That if the upgrades were a good plan (or at least not a bad plan) then that decision would be made obvious as the nose on my face or the crows feet around my eyes from years of big smiles. And my mind was (note, was) at ease.

So, I’m good to go and no longer obsessing. Then, I get to the office, and I’ll be darned if the very first email that pops up is from Fora.tv telling me that they now have an app for the iPhone. Now I’m just confused, because I’m sure that God isn’t really giving me the go-ahead for the phone of all phones, the acclaimed iPhone 3GS…or is He? I can justify the hack out of an iPhone purchase (or even some of the Android phones, for that matter). I do tons of stuff on my phone, practical stuff…now just games and goofy stuff. I blog, email, work on the company websites, facebook (thats no goofy), tweet (not goofy, either), and so much more. Phones any more truly are our personal computers, and this is especially true for me as we do not even have a computer at home anymore since we use our cell phones for everything.

So, all of that obsessing to ask: When we pray for definite signs and directions, and we get answers that surprise us, how do we answer? As for the phone, I’m still not convinced that I’ve gotten the last of my direction on that matter and I won’t buy a new phone until I am sure, but really this is just the latest of many personal examples of this kind of signal reading test. When do we know the answers from the wishful thinking???

Anyone who reads much of my writing knows what’s to come. An little while after finishing up the posting on my cell phone conundrum, I came to the following passage in my New Testament reading. I won’t commentate further, the Word speaks for itself!

I’m heading out on a short vacation; so no major blogs for the next few days… next concert is The Swell Season next Monday.  For the time being, there’s a new tour hitting the road next winter… Megadeth, Slayer and special guests Testament!  Holy cow!!! I’ve seen all three of these bands before, but it’s been a while – and I’ve never seen them at the same time.   I’ll be at the Portland show, if ticket sales serve me well…

Bay Area thrash legends TESTAMENT are taking the stage once again in support of their 2008 release, “The Formation of Damnation”, TESTAMENT will be touring as special guest with fellow thrash legends MEGADETH and SLAYER. The tour will feature the classic lineup of vocalist Chuck Billy, guitarists Eric Peterson and Alex Skolnick, bassist Greg Christian, and drummer Paul Bostaph and will mark the 20th anniversary of these major players taking the stage together on the same stage as MEGADETH and SLAYER.

“The Formation of Damnation” will be reissued just in time for this amazing tour with SLAYER and MEGADETH with a bonus CD that contains live renditions of the classics “The New Order”, “Practice What You Preach” and “Souls Of Black”. The tracks will also feature enhanced video clips recorded in Alcatraz for their MTV special “52/52″ campaign feature as well as the music video for “More Than Meets The Eye”. This special album re-release with bonus material will be in stores on February 23. Zapomnij o bezkompromisowości. Może i można mieć wszystko, ale nie można mieć każdego, bo ludzie to nie przedmioty. I choćbyś płakał i zgrzytał zębami – w tej kwestii świata nie zmienisz. Ja powoli zaczynam się do tego przyzwyczajać. Przyzwyczajam się do tego w taki sposób, że nie zadaję pytań, na które znam negatywną odpowiedź, a kiedy sam takie słyszę – milczę. Może i powinienem powiedzieć “nie”, ale nie chcę odbierać im przyjemności przejrzenia na oczy. Moja śmierć będzie dla nich odpowiedzią. Jeśli – oczywiście – wcześniej jej nie poznali. Moja śmierć będzie dla nich prezentem w właśnie postaci wyrazu “nie”.

Dzisiaj z pewnością mogę już stwierdzić, że jeśli popełniłem kiedyś jakieś grzechy, jeśli kogokolwiek skrzywdziłem, to już zdążyłem odpokutować swoje winy. I to nie tylko przez fakt, że te krzywdy nie miały ciągłości w czasie i że były one tylko subiektywnym odczuciem tych rzekomo pokrzywdzonych. To swoją drogą. Ważniejsze jest jednak to, że poświęciłem się dla innych, nie zyskując z tego tytułu niczego poza zszarganymi nerwami. To była moja pokuta. Zaznaczam – była.

Aún falta mucho tiempo, pero la espera valdrá la pena, de menos para aquellos metaleros que tengan lana y visa para ir a EU o a Canadá, ya que se ha anunciado el cartel de la gira Amertican Carnage 2010, nada más ni nada menos que con Slayer, Megadeth y Testament juntos!

Estas leyendas del thrash metal no tocaban juntos, si mal no recuerdo, desde la gira Clash of the Titans en 1991 o algo así, y será el fenómeno metalero del año.

Llamada de antemano como la más poderosa, explosiva y esperada mega gira del invierno, American Carnage arrancará el 18 de enero en Seattle, EU, y continuará girando alrededor de los Estados Unidos y Canadá durante 26 fechas más.

Lo más interesante será que los tres grupos estarán tocando material prácticamente nuevo, ya que Slayer con World Painted Blood, Megadeth con Endgame y Testament con The Formation of Damnation, atacaron los oídos de los fans de forma fuerte durante el pasado año y medio aproximadamente.

Sin duda el evento thrasher del año, si tienen chance de ir de una vez busquen las entradas en Internet, por ahí suena que algunos boletos andarán rondando los 10 dólares dada la cabronsísima situación económica, una buena oportunidad de ver a los monstruos del thrash californiano en Florida, Texas o California, más información ahí en cuanto sepa se las paso.

Após rumores de uma tour com os Big Four do Thrash Metal da Bay Area (Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer e Anthrax), não é que a ideia surtiu efeitos?

Com somente duas alterações: ao invés de Metallica e Anthrax, quem fará uma tour com  Slayer e Megadeth serão outros grandes do Thrash, o Testament.

No site dos caras já estão disponíveis as datas dos shows nos EUA.

BOATO: Vi por aí que o Megadeth teria confirmado seus shows na América do Sul entre Março e Abril de 2010.

AGORA: Levando em consideração que o Testament cancelou os shows que faria no Brasil em Setembro deste ano E que o Slayer não aparece por aqui desde 2006 (se não me engano), será que teremos o prazer de ver essas 3 grandes bandas no mesmo dia?

E DIGO MAIS: Testament lançou álbum novo em 2008 (o sensacional “The Formation of Damnation”) e o Slayer e Megadeth lançaram álbuns ainda este ano (“World Painted Blood” e “Endgame”, consecutivamente), então, ainda estão em fase de Tour Mundial.

Que todos façam figas, ofereçam banquetes, cruzem os dedos dos pés ou qualquer outra coisa que “dê uma mãozinha” para que essa turnê também passe pelo Brasil.

Copiones, carentes de imaginación, sin talento, tranzas…no, no estoy hablando de los pendejos de panda. Hablo de la reacción que causa cuando descubres que una canción que te gusta un chingo tiene partes plagiadas de otra o es un completo plagio. Hay dos casos que me llaman la atención. El primero es el de Lamb of God con Laid to Rest:

Escuchen muy bien el intro y recuerdenlo. Ahora, escuchen Into the Pit de Testament:

No se que habrá pasado por la mente de los de Lamb of God para usar el mismo riff para el intro. Cierto que el resto de la canción es diferente pero si es de pensarse…

Ahora Behemoth con Conquer All

Aquí es mucho más sencillo de recordar el riff. Ahora escuchen Be All, End All de Anthrax

Me da la impresión de que Behemoth intentó una especie de homenaje/fusil porque el título de la canción también es parecido.

Yo sigo escuchando Laid to Rest y Conquer All, pero ya no dejo de pensar que son en parte un plagio

- This is really pathetic: out of the top 30 grossing films of this decade, two weren’t remakes or sequels or adaptations of established properties, “Finding Nemo” and “Kung Fu Panda”. That’s it. I wonder when people are gonna be so over all of it that they go back to books.
- Miss Universe Japan 2008 Hiroko Mima. Miss Universe Trinidad & Tobago 2008 Anya Ayoung-Chee. Oh, and Anya’s boyfriend. Together, naked in a hotel room with a video camera. What’s the worst that could happen?
